The Angle(s): The Chicago White Sox pulled off a massive upset Friday night to extend their winning streak to three games, and they possess the right matchup to keep things close on Saturday.

The visiting Dodgers continue to map their way through a cluster of roster injuries, and White Sox right-hander Sean Burke (3-3, 3.88 ERA) has quietly enjoyed great success in limited action against this L.A. lineup. Burke enters this start absolutely locked in, surrendering just three runs on six hits while racking up 14 strikeouts over 12 1/3 innings across his past two turns.

Qatar, on the other hand, is a side still trying to prove they belong at this level, and I just don't think they are there just yet.

The Angle(s): Not going to lie, I felt pretty good about my Spurs moneyline bet at halftime of Game 4. The Knicks looked completely deflated and done for, and I was preparing to hammer San Antonio for the rest of the series.

Things took a wild turn, however, with New York mounting a historic, record-breaking comeback to grab a 3-1 series stranglehold. At this point, it’s hard to imagine how the young Spurs emotionally recover from blowing a 29-point lead.

While the Knicks moneyline is tempting at this price, this series has been so tight that the safest play is to take the points.

The Angle(s): The Kansas City Royals have dropped three on the bounce, but their offense isn't to blame, as they've continued to put up a decent amount of runs even in defeat.

They get a prime opportunity to break out of their slump against Astros right-hander Mike Burrows (3-8, 5.77 ERA, 1.57 WHIP), who has been a massive liability. Burrows is carrying an ugly 1-4 team record and a bloated 6.91 ERA over his last five starts, and on the flip side, Kansas City southpaw Noah Cameron (3-4, 3.84 ERA) has been lights-out, posting a dominant 1.80 ERA and 0.67 WHIP over his last five turns.

The Bet: ROYALS (3%).

The Angle(s): After riding Seattle to a comfortable runline cash in Friday's 10-2 rout, it’s time to pivot and grab the value on the Washington Nationals for Saturday's contest. The Mariners hand the ball to right-hander Luis Castillo (2-5, 5.16 ERA). While Castillo has put together better individual outings recently, his baseline control remains a major liability. Also, Castillo has historically dreaded facing this franchise, posting a lifetime 0-5 record, a 4.81 ERA, and an elevated 1.39 WHIP across six career appearances against the Nationals.

The Nationals counter with righty Cade Cavalli (3-4, 3.88 ERA), a young arm who has found his comfort zone at Nationals Park. This is a prime situational spot to fade an overvalued favorite and back Washington to bounce back.

In Major League Baseball, and any sporr really, public money heavily floods toward teams coming off massive blowout wins (like Seattle’s 10-2 routing). Fading that emotional line movement by backing the losing team the next day is a highly profitable, long-term contrarian betting strategy.
