Jack Kochanowicz (2-4, 5.23 ERA) vs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto (5-4, 2.86 ERA) . 

Yesterday was LAA's chance to steal a game in this series in my opinion. Given the struggles of Roki Sasaki throughout this season. If the Angels were going to win a game, that was going to be the one. Sadly for them, they held the Dodgers to just a run and still managed to lose that game. That's got to be deflating for the entire team's morale. 

Looking at the pitching matchup, Jack Kochanowicz gets the nod for the Angels. His numbers get even worse when playing on the road this season (6.62 ERA in those games.) Yamamoto, on the other hand, has to be ecstatic after watching his fellow Japanese teammate throw seven shutout innings on Friday. Yamamoto has been crushing his opponents lately, with a two earned runs over his past three starts (19.1 innings.) Hammer LAD on the run line. 

Burns' Prediction: 7-1 Dodgers.

(#650) Las Vegas Aces | ATS | . 

As we near the end of the opening month of the WNBA season, I've been watching each team very closely. I'm still very surprised with how Golden State's been able to win in blowout fashion so many times. The loss on Thursday should definitely put a halt to its confidence though. Losing a tough game on the road by only a bucket like that definitely stalls any type of momentum for at least the road trip. I believe that the Valkyries could be in trouble for this contest on Saturday. 

Looking at the Aces, I was not successful when playing on them against the Wings earlier this year. But, Las Vegas has responded with a pair wins since that game, including a double digit win against this very Golden State team on the road. Don't get me wrong, road teams have continued to do much better than I would have thought (especially ATS.) But, things are beginning to even out much more as we get fully rolling. Vegas looks to be the superior team + they most definitely will want to pick up their first home win of the campaign here this weekend. Hammer LVA. 

Burns' Prediction: 91-80 Aces.

(#921) Boston Red Sox | ML | . 

Ranger Suarez (2-3, 3.38 ERA) vs. Will Warren (7-1, 3.22 ERA) . 

Boston hasn't been great this season, and I understand that. However, I'm not writing the Red Sox off completely just yet. They still have plenty of talent in the lineup & Ranger Suarez has been excellent so far this season, especially away from home. As a matter of fact, Suarez owns a 2.93 ERA in five road starts this year & I expect those numbers to improve after today. 

New York's always going to have talent. But, being without Judge for this long will not help the Yankees with taking things to the next level. Because of the recent success against the Red Sox in matchups between these sides, I believe that the line is favoring the Yanks a bit too much on Saturday. 
Will Warren's been fantastic, don't get me wrong. But, his 3.96 ERA at home here at Yankee Stadium is nothing to be ecstatic about. 

All in all, I believe that if the Red Sox are going to take advantage of a game in this series, this is the one to do just that. When Suarez pitched at Yankee Stadium last year, he rose to the occasion, allowing one run in 5.2 innings pitched. That resulted in a 9-4 win. Give me the Red Sox on Saturday.

As the days tick down, teams are starting to fully get prepared for the World Cup which begins in less than a week now. That being said, this is one last chance to get everything right before the big thing begins. The good thing for Turkey is that it's shown extreme chemistry as a group lately, conceding zero goals over their past three games including its other friendly that occured on Monday. Turkey won that game 4-0 against North Macedonia. 

On the other hand, Venezuela is one of the South American sides that didn't make the World Cup. The defense was pretty non-existent over its final three qualifying matches, allowing 11 goals over those games. Having not played a match together since those games back in September, I believe that this is a great spot for Turkey to keep producing a very high level. I've got Turkey on Saturday. 

Burns' Prediction: 2-0 Turkey.

(#15) Carolina Hurricanes | ML | . 

I won with Carolina in Game 2 and although it took a monster comeback in the 3rd Period of that game to win, I believe that a win like that could definitely jump start the Canes in the right direction for the remainder of this series. Carolina had been a force defensively throughout these playoffs & that has changed a bit in these finals. But, Anderson finally looked like himself again in the second half of that contest (Gm2.) 

Vegas, on the other hand, finally melted down with a beat up defensive core. Yes, the Golden Knights will be able to pick up another defensemen for this game if McNabb isn't able to go. But, it would be a massive downgrade either way. Even though Vegas is a tough place to play, especially in the postseason, I think that the Hurricanes hold all the momentum heading into this pivotal Game 3.
