Arizona at Denver 4:30 ET

Cardinals (+) over Broncos- Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray has a rap that he does not fully prepare for an opponent they way an NFL QB should. Whether he knows the playbook or refuses to follow it he has yet to show the winning attitude needed at this level. But, not to worry because although Murray hasn’t played a down in this preseason he will again sit out which will give Desmond Ridder and Clayton Tone one more chance to lead the offense. Denver under Sean Patton is going with rookie Bo Nix over Zach Wilson and Jason Stidman to start the season but he will be sidelined here. Bronco QB’s other than Nix have one TD pass which wasn’t enough to win Wilson the job. With Nix out the rest of the club just has to look at what’s out there and are thinking...’we got no shot’. Take ARIZONA!

L. A. Chargers at Dallas 4:00 ET

Chargers (+) over Dallas- New Chargers’ coach Jim Harbaugh has a way to go to establish a winning culture with his ‘new’ club and he’s anxious to find out if his so-called super-star quarterback can actually make the grade. Justin Herbert has all the tools but has not measured up to expectations. Enter former Michigan guru and Herbert has yet to play a down. But, you are always live when playing the Dallas Cowboys as America’s team has such a loyal following they bet ‘on’ them under any and all conditions. LA has not scored a touchdown this preseason losing 16-3 to Seattle and 13-9 last week to the Rams with both games being played at home. Now, taking to the road they come up big against the always over-rated Cowboys. Take the L.A. CHARGERS!

Carolina at Buffalo 1:00 ET

Panthers over Bills- Here we go with the NFL’s worst clubs last season and they have been putrid this preseason. Their No. 1 QB Bryce Young has yet to play a snap and offensively with managed seven first downs against New England and just 150 total yards last week against the Jets. So, the Panthers are 0-2 losing twice and now come up favored on the road...it don’t make sense! Take CAROLINA!

Pittsburgh at Detroit 7:10 ET

Steelers (-) over Lions- I don’t know who is going to get how much playing time for either team but I am sure one of these clubs will be hiding most of the game while the other has some atoning to do. Pittsburgh is 0-2 and didn’t scored a touchdown against Buffalo in a miserable offensive performance. Justin Fields and Russell Wilson have put up numbers in this league and now they are faced with a duel for the starting quarterbacks job that seems to give Wilson the edge. But, coach Mike Tomlin is not the gayful type and he wants to see progress and results and he will have the Steelers ready. Don’t you think that it is ridiculous for the 0-2 Man-in Black be a TD favorite in Detroit who is the odds on Vegas favorite to rep the NFC in the Super Bowl. Maybe they will, but they couldn't care less about this game and the oddsmakers know it. Barring something totally weird this is a lay-down. Take PITTSBURGH!

Miami at Tampa Bay 7:30 ET

Buccaneers (-) over Dolphins- Miami is so fragile as goes Tua so goes the Dolphins. I don’t even know if the Dolphins will even bring him to Tampa (of course they will but I question as to if he will even put the uniform on). That will be the primary attutude of the Fins and they want to enter the year as healthy as possible. With two wins under their belts over Washington and Atlanta they will be playing every player that they plan to release. Tampa Bay has split their two prep game winning as a Power Play 17-14 winner over Cincinnati and dropped last weeks loss at Jacksonville. This being the Bucs lone home game in the preseason and they will play to the crowd. Take TAMPA BAY!

Indianapolis at Cincinnati 8:00 ET

Colts over Bengals- I have had this Cincinnati team clock in both of the preseason games with the belief that their main concern is a healthy Joe Burrow and really not much else. In Week 1 the Bengals opening drive end with a touchdown run by Burrow against Tampa Bay and that’s all they wanted to see. The Buc’s went on to defeat the Bengals who once again laid down at Chicago (Money Game winner) 27-3. I don’t expect Burow to play and once again for Cincy to lay-in-wait for their opener against the Patriots. Indy took down Arizona last week after bowing to Denver 34-30 in week 1. Colts starters are to play most of the first half as they were rested last week. Take INDIANAPOLIS!

New Orleans at San Francisco 8:00 ET

Saints (+) over 49ers- With the line on this game fluctuating at around pick-em the book make does not believe that the Niners are coming to play. The defeated Super Bowl runner-ups are just playing safe getting ready to the upcoming season trying to stay healthy. The Saints have a long way to go to reach San Francisco’s level but will put out a max effort here. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Green Bay at Denver 8:00 ET

Broncos (-) over Packers- With one of the NFL’s worst offenses in 2023 the Broncos went out and made the quarterbacking position their focal point in the off-season. The book maker believes that it will make a difference at least in the pre-season as Denver has been instilled a TD favorite over the up and coming Packers. This is a huge overlay as Green Bay won big in their opener and I expect them to show very little here. Take DENVER!

Dallas at Las Vegas Raiders 10:PM ET

Raiders (-) over Cowboys- This is my John McEnroe ‘you can not be serious game of the week!’ What this line tells me is that either a number of CowPokes are going to ‘out on the town’ or Dallas is just not interested in this contest. For Las Vegas don’t believe for a second that everyone is pleased with Antonio Pierce leading the Raiders and he alone with the rest of the club love playing at home and especially against a club like Dallas. I expect The home sde to be all in as QB’s battle for playing ime and coaches along with players alike on edge. Take LAS VEGAS!

Detroit at Kansas City 4:00 ET

Chiefs (-) over Lions- We posted winners against both of these guys last week with the NY Giants and Megabucks Jacksonville over KC. Like I said last week Detroit is gearing up for the regular season and are looking toward a Super Bowl (they think) and this one they’ll go through the motions. The Chiefs did their thing last week but Andy Reid likes the attention at home and Patrick will show... Take KANSAS CITY!

Cincinnati at Chicago 1:00 ET

Bears (-) over Bengals- A friend of mine and someone in the ‘industry’ that I respect (his opinion) was talking about fading Chicago because they were already 2-0 while the Bengals wee still looking for their first win. Oh, but are they? His radio host quickly supported his position and I have a totally different take on this match-up. To start with the Bears are hungry and have a strong competition going on for the starting quarterbacking job. On the Cincinnati side I think that all they really care about is a healthy Joe Burrow. They saw what they wanted last week when he took them down and scored. The Cats laid down after that like they will here. Line is a huge overlay...take CHICAGO!

Philadelphia at New England 7:00 ET

Patriots (-) over Eagles- Philadelphia opened about a field goal favorite as they should have but this is preseason and although the Eagles are one of the stronger favorites in the NFC to get to the Super Bowl and New England is one of the biggest long shots to even make the playoffs. So, what has happened here to move the Patriots into the favorites role which is something that just would not happen during the regular season. The sharper professionals see the birds leaving the nest as Philly knows who they are and for the most part will show very little and try and escape with as minimal damage as possible. It’s preseason...take NEW ENGLAND!

Dallas at L.A. Rams 4:30 ET

Rams (+) over Cowboys- This annual contest usually happens the opening week of preseason and this year is no different. Dallas hosted Los Angeles last October and ran the Rams out of Texas with a  43-20 the second consecutive season that they have defeated LA. But, the Cowboys always have enough talent to fall short as they will here. Coaching advantage to LA. Take the RAMS!

Washington at New York Jets 12:00 ET

Capitals (-) over Jets- I believe New York will be keeping more than just Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines. I know that I am impressed with Washington’s No. 1 draft pick and believe that he will be impactful. But, for this club to be favored on the road against a team many believe will go to the Super Bowl. The only thing that bothers me is the starting time and don’t ask me to explain why...take WASHINGTON!

Detroit at New York Giants 7:10 ET

Giants (-) over Lions- I expect for their to be plenty of action on the Lions this season as they are the darlings  of the public! They are looking for possible NFC Super Bowl appearance. For New York visions of even the playoffs is not a realistic thought, but Brian Daboll will have them ready here as they are way improved over last year’s edition. Look for Detroit to play those that they are looking to cut and for the Giants to play for their esteem and self confidence. Take NEW YORK GIANTS!

Cleveland at Kansas City 1:00 ET

Browns (-) over Chiefs- Kansas City wants out of this game so bad that they are so happy playing at home and they can get an early start on their 12 days before opening the season on Thursday Night September 7 hosting the Lions. Andy Reid got his win last week as the Chiefs started the preseason with a loss, but bounced back with an emphatic 38-10 win over the Arizona Cardinals last weekend. The Browns are coming off an 18-18 tie with the Philadelphia Eagles in their last outing and while no Chiefs starters will see action the Browns have hinted that they might give their starters a bit more playing time than the Chiefs in the final week of exhibition play. Browns take what the Chiefs give them a meaningless preseason win (meaningless to THEM!). Take CLEVELAND! 

LA Chargers at San Francisco 1:00 ET

49ers (-) over Chargers- Los Angeles is set at quarterback with Justin Herbert in fold for years t come but his play will not begin tonight. On the other side of the field San Francisco appears to have their QB issues settled but there is huge competition between Trey Lance (who may end up the odd man out) and San Darnold. Believe it or ot it appears that Darnold has the edge to back up Brock Pudry who will play tonight. Take SAN FRANCISCO!

Indianapolis at Philadelphia 8:00 ET

Colts (-) over Eagles- If this was a fair fight the Eagles should be close to double-digit favorites and I would expect Indianapolis would pull up lame in one way or another. Last season it was a loss to Philadelphia that put the nail in Frank Reich’s coffin as he was let down after that defeat. Jalen Hurts will not see any action and the Colts will be playing their starters and extended amount of time. Take INDIANAPOLIS!

Pittsburgh at Atlanta 7:00 ET

Falcons (+) over Steelers- Pittsburgh went all-out last week playing starters deep into their huge win over Buffalo last week. Atlanta as a false favorite played to a tie with Cincinnati although dominating play through out the contest. Mike Tomlin likes the winning culture but is thinking more of the 49ers in Week One than the Falcons in Atlanta this week. Take ATLANTA!

Baltimore at Washington 8:00 ET

Commanders (+) over Ravens- Baltimore is looking for their 25th straight preseason win and will keep Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley sidelined. They have already announced their quarterback plan for this game, which does not feature either Lamar Jackson or Tyler Huntley. This means Josh Johnson and Anthony Brown will each get a half as they battle for the final roster spot at QB. Sam Howell has been named the opening game starter and will see action for Washington tonight. The streak end here. Take WASHINGTON!

New Orleans at LA Chargers 7:05 ET

Saints (-) over Chargers- This line is ridiculous as the Saints come marching to Los Angeles and they are favored against a team that is expected to contend in the AFC West. Both clubs posted opening preseason wins as the Chargers just crushed the LA Rams 34-17 and New Orleans handled Kansas City 26-24. To come up an underdogs after posting such a huge win in the preseason the Chargers are sure to have a letdown. Take NEW ORLEANS!

Denver at San Francisco 8:30 ET

Broncos (-) over 49ers- If there is a ‘Don’t Make Sense’ game of the preseason this one certainly qualifies. Denver who was one of the worst in the NFL last season both SU and ATS comes up favored at San Francisco who is the NFC favorite to go to the Super Bowl. The Broncos have already lost their preseason opener  18-17 to Arizona who is the NFC may be worse than they are. But, with Sean Payton directing the charge the Broncos come up big here. Take DENVER!

Tennessee at Minnesota 8:00 ET

Titans (-) over Vikings- It seems a bit off that the visiting Titans would be favored here.Both clubs are off opening game losses as Tennessee fell to the Bears 23-17 while Minnesota was pushed around by Seattle 24-13. The Vikings who were 14-3 last season while the Titans closed by losing their last seven outright. Minny knows that this is a meaningless encounter while the Titans are looking to establish a positive mindset. Take TENNESSEE!

Tampa Bay at New York Jets 7:30 ET

Buccaneers (+) over Jets- Okay the Jets are a team that will have to be dealt with during the season as they have become the media darlings now that Aaron Rodgers is leading the charge. New York just humiliated Carolina 27-0 last time out but they realize that crushing an opponent in these meaningless games has little value except to draw attention from the populace. Tampa Bay has fallen off the charts since the departure of Tom Brady and little is expected from them. But, the Buc’s have a real competition among QB’s in camp and they will scrap for the full 60 minutes. Take TAMPA BAY!

Cincinnati at Atlanta 7:30 ET

Falcons (-) over Bengals- I don’t believe that Cincinnati will come to play until Joe Burrow returns to action. The Bengals are now seasoned pro’s who have make the playoffs the past two years and they understand that it is a long season and it really won’t start for them until Joe Cool is back under center. Last week Green Bay ran the ball on Cincy and so will Atlanta who had the number three rushing attack in the entire NFL last season. Falcons will showcase the number six pick in the entire 2023 draft running back Bijan Robinson from Texas. Take ATLANTA!

Cleveland at Philadelphia 7:30 ET

Eagles (-) over Browns- This will be the Browns (1-1) third preseason game and they will be looking to keep their 360 millions dollar man healthy so I don’t expect much playing time for Deshaun Watson. The NFC Champions Philadelphia fell short 20-19 at Baltimore on Saturday as their fourth quarter two-point pass attempt failed. The Eagle controlled the ball for the most part having a 35:22-to-24:38 time of possession advantage. After trailing 17-2 the Browns scored twice late and their two-point try with a minute :39 to go failed (they really didn’t want to tie the game). Eagle soar at home for a much wanted mindset win. TAKE PHILADELPHIA!

Philadelphia at Baltimore 7:00 ET

Eagles (+) over Ravens- The Eagles will be playing the most difficult schedule in the NFL this season after having played the softest schedule in 2022 making it to the Super Bowl. Baltimore under John Harbaugh have the most incredible pre-season record of any team in modern or past history winning 22 of 23 games outright and going 21-2 ATS. Lamar Jackson is back for the Ravens but for sure will not see any action here and they are a different team when he plays and the club plays differently. Take PHILADELPHIA!

Indianapolis at Buffalo 1:00 ET

Colts over Bills- I already feel sick just thinking of another season chasing these Colts are and playing against Buffalo who has got to be hurting off their last performance against Cincinnati in the 2022 playoffs. Okay, so we all know Josh Allen will not suite up but does that men the Bills will just lay down. I don’t think so but with most of these players on the field won’t have uniforms in three weeks shows us that they have little motivation here. With a new running the regime now in Indy the coaching staff wants to establish a winning mindset and a win here goes a long way.

Atlanta at Miami 7:10 ET

Falcons over Dolphins- I have seen these two a number of times in preseason meetings in Miami and it never seems to go the Dolphins way. Miami has a lot of heavy expectations on them this season and it all comes down to Tua Tagovailoa and his ability to play a full season. Tua actually led the NFL in efficiency and yards per play last season when he was able to play. The Dolphins have loaded up their roster and want to keep their game breakers and play makers healthy so they will see little if any action at all. Atlanta will be fighting to find themselves and won’t be as conservative as the Fins. Take ATLANTA!

Houston at New England 7:10 ET

Texans over Patriots- I know what a way to start the pre-season but when it comes up it has to be taken down. this line is too much for me to bare and knowing Belichick is laying down here. Texans much more to prove and will be putting forth a bit more effort. don’t worry about who is playing because there will be a few more like this one before its all said and done. Take HOUSTON!

Detroit at Pittsburgh 4:30 ET

Lions (+) over Steelers- The buzz around the steelers is about the battle that they having at quarterback. Already 2-0 their trio of the rookie Kenny Pickett, veteran Mitch Trubisky and Steeler vet QB Mason Rudolph have led the charge and Harris in the backfield is a huge factor. But, I don't expect much from them today. The Lions are rarin' to ro

Minnesota at Denver 9:00 ET

Vikings over Broncos- Everybody is trying to play possum during the preseason and some actually need the playing time and that would be the 0-2 Vikings. Denver is keeping Russell Wilson under wraps and they are expecting a huge seasonal turn around this year but Minnesota may be as bad as the pundits say. Even so I'm looking for a win out of the Vikes during the preseason and this is it! Take MINNESOTA!

Chicago at Cleveland 7:00 ET

Browns (-) over Bears- Here are a pair of clubs that are not expected to make the playoffs this season. Cleveland's situation seems to be in turmoil but things are not as bad as they seem. The Browns still have the No. 2 ground game and their rushing defense is among the top in the NFL. Teams that face the kind of adversity that the Browns are enduring get stronger and bond together. Bears have already won their two games and that's enough for them. Take CLEVELAND!

Washington at Baltimore 7:05 ET

Commanders (+) over Ravens- All I have say about this game is of Lamar Jackson plays he is not the 'brightest' bulb on the tree. Baltimore has now won 3,321 straight preseason games (Okay I embellished a little) and it's getting to where the 'public' is riding them every week during the preseason. So, playing the part of the spoiler the 0-2 Commanders will tip the cart over against the 2-0 Ravens. I don't expect Baltimore to show anything or play any starters at all. Take WASHINGTON!

Buffalo at Carolina 7:05 ET

Panthers (-) over Bills- Now, isn't this silly! Only three other teams won less games than Carolina last season while Buffalo is the definitive AFC favorite to get to the Super Bowl. The Bills are 2-0 in the preseason and are ready for their opener in LA right now coming off their 42-15 beatdown over Denver. Mayfield earned the starting nod and the team is settled and more confident with the choice as Darnold everybody realizes is the pits. Watch for the Bills to avoid playing anyone of significance while looking for Sam Darnold to lead the second half win and cover. Take CAROLINA!

San Francisco at Houston 8:05 ET

Texans over 49ers- Both these clubs are 2-0 in NFL preseason and that could be expected of the Niners while any win at anytime is huge for Houston. With this being the final game before the real thing gets underway SF will look to protect their assets while the Texans are still trying to figure out what their assets are. The home team is 3-1-1 ATS in their last five home games and they get the Cash here. Take HOUSTON!

Cincinnati at New York Giants 7:10 ET

Giants over Bengals- For the most part the Super Bowl loser has a difficult time the following year and not only during the regular season but the preseason as well. Even though Joe Burrow won't be playing but I can't get past him getting sacked nine time in the playoffs and they still won. Now, no Burrow but the same lineman. New York will for the most part use Tyron Taylor and the veteran is perfect for the preseason as he runs and is expendable. Giants come up big at home. Take NEW YORK!

Dallas at L.A. Chargers 10:10 ET

Cowboys over Chargers- Both of these clubs were 'Public' favorites last week and both were unimpressive. Dallas was shut out for 55+ minutes before scoring during garbage time and San Diego played fair against the Rams having 120 yards in penalties. The Cowboys had covered their last four preseason road games and after last week's 17-7 loss at Denver they have taken a lot of heat for their effort. The 'Boys' will be looking to right themselves here. Take DALLAS!

Detroit at Indianapolis 1:10 ET

Lions over Colts- This is another of those silly 'prices' (like yesterday's Houston) where the worst is favored on the road. Indianapolis is expected to make a playoff run with QB Matt Ryan leading the way. But, the Colts the receiver of five Buffalo turnovers last week did what they do beat and blew a fourth quarter lead and couldn't take advantage of the gifts the Bills gave them. Detroit believe it or not was the 'public' choice last week and failed against the lowly Falcons in a game they dominated the clock and yardage but, a pair of turnovers did them in as they lost at home 27-23. This time they are road favorite (silly isn't it) so I expect the colts to come up lame. Take DETROIT!

Chicago at Seattle 8:00 ET

Seahawks (-) over Bears- Chicago did exactly what they were supposed to do in defeating Kansas City as 'my' first 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks release winning OUTRIGHT 19-14. I don't expect much out of them this week but for Seattle who played tough in their loss 32-25 at Pittsburgh. Geno Smith will get the nod at quarterback for the Seahawks as Lock has covid and this is perfect for the veteran. Running plays during the preseason is Geno's specialty as it is his chance to shine. Take SEATTLE!

Minnesota at Las Vegas 4:35 ET

Vikings (+) over Raiders- I don't care, I just don't care how great the reports are about the Raiders camp and how much George hates Minny QB Cousins...I don't care. Las Vegas is not suppose to win this game they shouldn't 'cover' the number. But remember, the more they win this preseason the better to play Under total wins for the regular season. Okay, enough of that the Raiders cruised 27-11 in the Hall of Fame game against Jacksonville the NFL's worst in 2021.Take MINNESOTA!

Kansas City at Chicago 1:00 ET

Bears over Chiefs- Kansas City came within one-half game of making it to the Super Bowl for the AFC while the Bears may be consider the second worst team in the NFC. I don't expect any of the Chiefs front line players to even get near the field while Chicago with only three preseason games have to get as much work in as possible with their young QB and developing players. Take Da' BEARS!

Green Bay at San Francisco 8:15 ET

49ers over Packers- The Niners were caught a little off guard when Samuel requested a trade in April but maintained they had no intention of trading him and wanted to work toward signing him to a lucrative long-term contract. They held firm to that, declining offers for Samuel on draft weekend. Things seemed to be trending in a positive direction when Samuel signed. Quarterback Trey Lance. The No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL draft is expected to step into the starting role for Jimmy Garoppolo after spending his rookie season mostly watching and learning. Rodgers out Lance in...take 49ers!

N.Y. Giants at New England 7:00 ET

Giants over Patriots- The old and the new NLL coaches will face each other here as the Giants go with the 'new' in Brian Daboll and the vet is Bill Belichick of course. New York's top two players are in a make or break season as QB Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley have been put on notice snd will see plenty of action tonight. The Patriots who opened the favorite and are now an underdog at home will be resting most starters including Mac Jones. Take NEW YORK GIANTS!

New England at New York Giants 6:00 ET

Giants (+) over Patriots- New England is 2-0 in this year's preseason games while the Giants are 0-2 entering the final tune-up game before the records really count. This New York/Boston rivalry doesn't match the Yankees and Red Sox intensity but for some reason the Giants have always given the Patriots a difficult time winning five straight matchups ATS until their last meeting in 2019. Bill Belichick is pleased with the Pats play this preseason and now is looking toward their opener against the Dolphins in two weeks. Take NEW YORK!

Jacksonville at Dallas 1:00 ET

Jaguars (-) over Cowboys- Both of these clubs are winless in the preseason and neither are looking like playoff teams at this time. Through the years Dallas has been one of the worst preseason bets as they are 21-41 as favorites and 26-38 as underdogs in these meaningless games. Jacksonville is going with Trevor Lawrence for sure as they traded Gardner Minshew to the Eagles just days ago and will have veteran CJ Beathard in reserve. Jaguars coach Urban Meyer is looking for his first win as an NFL coach even if it is the preseason and will not be shy here while the Cowboys will sit at least 30 payers according to coach Mike McCarthy. Take JACKSONVILLE!

LA Chargers at Seattle 10:00 ET

Seahawks (-) over Chargers- During the preseason there are a few coaches that look to win every time out and until this year Pete Carroll gas been stellar going 37-19 ATS. But, this time around his club the Seahawks are 0-2 scoring just one touchdown and one field goal in their two losses and now are a 5-point favorite against the Chargers who are 2-0 ATS in this preseason. I expect LA to protect their prized QB in Justin Herbert while Seattle will look to end the preseason on a positive note. Take SEATTLE!

Pittsburgh at Carolina 7:30 ET

Panthers (-) over Steelers- The Steelers who faltered down the stretch last season are off to a 3-0 preseason and will rest key players in their final preseason clash with Carolina. Pittsburgh will sit quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph as well as running back Najee Harris but will go with their starting offensive line for a good portion of the game. Carolina is 0-2 in the preseason and coach Matt Rhule is looking to close on a positive note and will get the most out of running back Chuba Hubbard and Sam Darnold as well as newly signed WR Robby Anderson. Take the PANTHERS!

Jacksonville at New Orleans 8:00 ET

Jaguars (+) over Saints- The coaching change in Jacksonville by bringing Urban Meyer to take over the reins may help, but even with Meyer at the helm the Jaguars lost their fifth straight pre-season game last week to Cleveland 22-13 opening as the favorite and are 0-5 ATS in those losses. New Orleans had quite a day in their opener as begun the post-Drew Brees era by committing six turnovers in their 19-16 loss to Baltimore with each quarterback throwing an interception while getting penalized 10 times. But, the true reason I like the Jags here is coaching. I just believe that Meyer will look to establish a positive mantra with his 'new' club here. Take JACKSONVILLE!

Cincinnati at Washington 8:00 ET

FT (-) over Bengals- I really like this spot as Washington is coming off the 22-13 loss at New England and Cincinnati posted an upset road win over Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay 19-14. The Bengals held the Buccaneers to 29 yards rushing while gaining 118 on the ground themselves. I look for Ron Riviera to establish a positive mental attitude with a win here. This week it with the Football Team that controls the ball and the scoreboard. Take WASHINGTON!

Miami at New Orleans 8:00 ET

Dolphins (+) over Saints- This is a game where one combatant doesn't take this game seriously, under Sean Payton New Orleans 2-11 straight -up in as head coach in his final preseason game. Miami 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games but New Orleans has Drew Brees healthy and on the bench whereas the Dolphins a have Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen still in a battle for playing time and their competition should give the Dolphins the motivational edge. Saints just going through the motions today. Take MIAMI!

New York Giants at New England 7:30 ET

Giants (+) over Patriots- A pair teams with 3-0 pre-season records clash in Foxboro where two rivals will meet once again. With the understanding that this pits an AFC and NFC matchup but these two play every pre-season and have met in post season and the Giants always seem to get the best of it. New York is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings. The Patriots are an incredible 41-17 ATS overall in last 57 and 39-12-2 ATS at home. New York on the other hand is 7-0 ATS in their last seven road games. New England has accomplished its goals this preseason and the Giants are still a work in process. Take NEW YORK!

Minnesota at Buffalo 7:00 ET

Bills (+) over Vikings- Both clubs enter this fray 3-0 straight-up and ATS this preseason going 3-0 ATS as well. Bills know that they beat this team because they pulled off the huge upset 27-6 win at Minnesota last September out-gaining the Vikings by 120 yards on the ground. Minny's 3-0 this preseason has more substance because they may be heading to the playoffs and they have accomplished what they wanted and are looking to stay healthy. Buffalo still has work to do with their 2nd year quarterback Josh Allen and is looking to improve every time out especially without 'Shady.' Take BUFFALO.

New Orleans at New York Jets 7:30 ET

Jets over Saints- This NFL pre-season has been different from any other I've experienced previously. The reason is that starters are seeing less and less time on the field and many coaches are just having the players going through the motions. The Saints are a club that has already accomplished their pre-season goal having an offense that moves the ball and a defense that stood up hen needed last week. The Jets on the other hand realize that they have plenty of work left to do. New York has been out-gained by 141 by the Giants and 128 yards by Atlanta in their 22-10 win. Jets will play their starters into the third quarter and get the win. Take J-E-T-S!

Buffalo at Detroit 8:00 ET

Lions over Bills- Here we have one of the worst coached teams Detroit (0-2 SU, 0-2 ATS) hosting an up and coming club in Buffalo. The Bills (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS) led by former Wyoming QB Josh Allen are placed in an unusual place as a road favorite and in such a meaningless game. The Lions under Matt Patricia have looked dazed and confused at times after getting abused by New England 31-3 at home in their pre-season opener. I expect a better effort in front of the home crowd this time around. Take DETROIT!

Washington at Atlanta 7:30 ET

Redskins over Falcons- If there is another coach that cares less about the pre-season than Dan Quinn of the Falcons I don't believe that I've ever seen him. Atlanta is 5-14 straight-up in pre-season action including 11 straight losses and are just 4-15 ATS. Washington on the other hand is no prize either as they have lost nine of their last 10 and have been badly out-played in their two exhibition losses. Out-gained by 147 they lost to Cleveland 30-10 and out-gained by the Bengals by 130 yards in a 23-13 loss. Yet, the Redskins are favored on the road here. 'It DONT make sense...take WASHINGTON!

New Orleans at San Diego 4:00 ET

Chargers over Saints- Los Angeles (Ha did I get you) uh the Chargers are playing at home (?) for the first time in their last five outings and are off of a 17-13 loss at Arizona last week. New Orleans meanwhile put up 25 points in their loss hosting Minnesota while surrendering 34. The Saints were badly out-played by the Vikings as they averaged just 3.1 yards per play. The Chargers out-gained the Cardinals by 100 yards on the ground (without Melvin Gordon) and will get the win here. Take CHARGERS!

Detroit at Houston 8:00 ET

Texans over Lions- Lions coach Matt Patricia a former Patriots assistant coach defeated New England during the regular season last year but opened this pre-season by getting blasted by the Patriots 31-3. Bill Belichick got his measure of revenge last eek and Detroit will try and pick up the pieces today. The problem is that they are poorly coached and play at Houston where the Texans have won six of its last seven preseason games and are a perfect 5-0 against the NFC. The Texans pushed the Packers around in their 28-26 loss at Green Bay last week but turnovers did they in. Tonight the dominate a weakling. Take HOUSTON!

Philadelphia at Jacksonville 7:00 ET

Jaguars over Eagles- Okay two season removed from their Super Bowl victory Philadelphia is getting weary about their quarterback situation. They won the big prize with their back-up quarterback and are having trouble keeping their QB's healthy since trading their SB MVP Nick Foles. And where is Foles today but playing for the Jaguars. Jacksonville was shutout in their opener and I'm sure they will come-back with a huge performance here. Philly just wants to stay healthy. Take JACKSONVILLE!

Dallas at San Francisco 9:00 ET

Cowboys (+) over 49ers- The word around these clubs is that they are moving in opposite directions as the Niners are on their way up and Dallas is falling in many eyes without their key running back Ezekiel Elliott. But, as I stated in my NYG/NYJ write-up things are not always as the might seem. San Francisco does have some bright possibilities but have be beset by injuries already this pre-season while the Cowboys are focused on getting back to the playoffs. The 49ers are 1-7 ATS in their last eight against the NFC and the road team is 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings. Take DALLAS!

New York Jets at New York Giants 7:05 ET

Giants over Jets- This game has always been a big yawn for the New York football fan but, I do remember seeing Jason Sehorn go down running back a kick and his career as never the same. For the most part this game has gone to the team that has been belittled the most in the New York press. This year because of the selection of Daniel Jones and the loss of Odell Beckham and the loyalty to Ely Manning the Giants have been the victim. The Jets are the darlings of the press right now with their acquisition of Le'Veon Bell and the maturing hopeful Sam Darnold at quarterback it is better to be a Jets in the Gotham tabloids. So, some how it's the BIG BLUE GIANTS!

Minnesota at Tennessee 8:00 ET

Titans over Vikings- Tennessee made a coaching move in the off-season and it may have been a mistake. New coach Mike Vrabel is still looking for his first pro win as the Titans are 0-3 in pre-season action and have looked terrible offensively. Most new coaches look to establish a 'winning culture' upon entering a 'new' situation and that certainly hasn't been the case here. Minnesota staged a great coming from behind win last week in their 21-20 win over Seattle and are favorites in the NFC with 'Kirk' Cousins leading the way. The Vikings will look to protect their assets while the Titans are looking to show something positive for their home fans entering the season. Take TENNESSEE!

Baltimore at Miami 7:00 ET

Dolphins over Ravens- This is the fourth game of the preseason for the Ravens and they have posted three wins but are only 1-2 ATS. Miami on the other hand is 0-2 both SU and ATS and have lost their last five overall and 8-of-10. Baltimore has now won 11 straight preseason games under Harbaugh and it looks like the odds-makers are giving 'you' or 'us' a chance to take them without laying points (they actually might go to a small favorite). Week 3 is supposed to be a 'dress' rehearsal for the opener but the Ravens are ready now. This game has so much more significance for the Dolphins who has Ryan Tannehill back this season and will use him tonight. Oh I almost forgot to tell you my friends at Playbook tell me that 'any 0-2 team that is a dog or favorite by 2 or less points in Game three has an ATS record of 24-7 77%.' So, take MIAMI!

Green Bay at Oakland 10:30 ET

Raiders (-) over Packers- Boy oh boy! You have got to be kidding me. The Green Bay Packers have scored 82 points in two pre-season wins including 51 last week against Pittsburgh while the Raiders under John Gruden are 1-1 and are off last weeks loss at the Rams 19-15 scoring a total of 31 points on their two contests. Here's the thing the Packers have had two blowout wins at home and must now take to the road and open a 7-point underdog. Now, think about this, the Pack just scored 51 points and have two huge wins at Lambeau Field and now in their first road test they are the largest dog on the card this week against a team that didn't score a point with their starters in the game. I don't expect much of an effort out of Green Bay and neither do the oddsmakers. Take OAKLAND!

Philadelphia at Cleveland 8:00 ET

Browns (-) over Eagles- Hey before I start...have you guys and gals been watching 'Hard Knocks'...have you learned anything? Okay, we will see. So, here we have the Super Bowl Champions winless in preseason (0-2) visiting the league winless team from 2017. This is the week teams are supposed to go all out with their starters before pulling them in their final preseason game. That's all well and good for most teams but the Eagles have been grounded by a plethora of injuries and don't want to risk any more injury. However, Nick Floes is supposed to return to action as the 'starer' tonight and he should see more action then most. The Eagles would like to put something together after a pair of blowout losses to Pittsburgh and New England but they have no need to prove anything here. The home team is 5-0 ATS in this series and I give the edge to the hungry team. Take CLEVELAND!

Baltimore at Indianapolis 8:00 ET

Colts (+) over Ravens- The long awaited return of Andrew Luck has been realized and his playing time increased but his ability to throw the ball down field without pain has been noted. Baltimore of course has quarterback issues of their own as exciting draft pick Lamar Jackson and veteran starter Joe Flacco have not warmed up to each other and Robert Griffin III is around for clean up work. The Colts new head coach Frank Reich brought in new offensive and defensive co-coordinators and all are playing every game to win especially now to establish as winning culture. Take INDIANAPOLIS!

Seattle at L.A. Chargers 10:00 ET

Chargers (-) over Seahawks- Since taking over the Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has had the best pre-season ATS record of any other team in the NFL Entering this season he is 34-14-1 ATS in his preseason career including 7-1 ATS the past two seasons. But, things change and the Seahawks lost their opener to the Colts 19-17 and trends head in opposite directions. The Chargers also took and opening week lost at Arizona and look to establish a favorable home base. Things change...take the CHARGERS!

New York Giants at Detroit

Giants Lions (Over)- Both these clubs have ownership of two NFL All-Pro quarterbacks with top throwers in Detroit's Matt Stafford and of course Eli Manning of the Giants. Without their 'guns' in the line-up both the Lions and Giants just got to double figures each scoring just 10 points. Detroit's defense at least showed some ability holding Oakland in just one touchdown while New York's defense is as porous as ever allowing Cleveland score four times. Tonight we should see both sides address their offense and look to put together a cohesive effort. I realize the Giants will sit their No. 1 draft pick Barkley but there will others fighting hard to pick up the slack. Play NEW YORK!

New York Jets at Washington 8:00 ET

Redskins over Jets- Most of us saw his performance last week and opposition players are raving about New York's Number One draft pick (#3 overall) quarterback San Darnold. The Jets are coming off a 17-0 win over Atlanta while the Redskins blew a 17-0 halftime lead at New England. The Jets also have a come-back story with Teddy Bridgewater and Josh McCown while Washington has newly acquired Alex Smith and Colt McCoy who left with that 17-0 lead at halftime while Smith will see his first preseason action tonight. After blowing the lead and the Jets winning by a shutout fortunes should reverse here. Take WASHINGTON!

Seattle at Oakland 10:10 ET

Raiders (+) over Seahawks- Pete Carroll and the Seahawks have had their foot on the accelerator the entire pre-season going 3-0 both straight-up and ATS outscoring opponents 94-43. Oakland meanwhile has tried and successfully to keep their franchise player Derek Carr healthy and are 0-3 both straight-up and ATS. Tonight these two clubs will reverse rolls as the Raiders post their first win and hand Seattle wit's first loss. Both are meaningless now but will help their physic approaching the season opener. Take OAKLAND!

New York Giants at New England 7:30 ET

Giants (+) over Patriots- This is always an interesting encounter as the Giants always seem to play their best when up against New England as past Super Bowls and pre-season results will attest. The Patriots were 0-2 entering last weeks encounter at Detroit and their starters built a 24-0 first quarter lead before their reserves gave up the 'number' as they had to come-from-behind to win 30-28 a non-cover. New York also ran up the score early against the Jets building a 29-3 half-time lead before winning 32-31 but they are 0-3 ATS this summer. Tonight, with both sides playing close-to-the-vest the Giants prevail. Take NEW YORK!

San Francisco at Minnesota 8:00 ET

49ers (+) over Vikings- The last time these two clubs met the quarterbacking situation was much different. At that time San Francisco was rallying behind un-American Collin Kaepernick who threw for a poultry 165 yards with no TD's but managed to win 20-3 behind Carlos Hyde's 168 yards rushing (team total 230 yards on the ground) and two touchdowns. The Vikings were starting Teddy Bridgewater who passed for 231 yards but were done in by a defense that allowed the 49ers to average over six-yards per carry. This time around both clubs will have different starters under center as they both enter this fray off losses last time out. Aside form all that the underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and is the way to go here. Take SAN FRANCISCO!  

L.A. Chargers at L.A. Rams 8:00 ET

Chargers (+) over Rams- The first 'new' battle for Los Angeles takes place Saturday and the undefeated Rams host the winless Chargers in what is sure to become a heated rivalry. The Rams are now being led by No. 1 overall draft pick second year quarterback geoff Goff who will be opposed by the Chargers veteran QB Phillip Rivers. Most likely, neither of these clubs will make the playoffs as they just have too many better teams to climb over. The Rams who won just 4-of-16 games last season and averaged only 14 points per contest while the Chargers averaged almost 26 points with their five wins. Take CHARGERS!

Buffalo at Baltimore 7:00 ET

Bills (+) over Ravens- Well, these two combatants have had two totally different outcomes of their per-season games to date. Buffalo (0-2) has a new coach and a number of different players but the results seem to be the same as usual. Baltimore who miss out on the playoffs last season (8-8) have dominated their two opponents in pre-season action taking down Washington 23-3 and Miami 31-7 while the Bills struggled to score against Minnesota 10 points and Philadelphia 17 points in two losses. The Ravens don't need this and the Bills need to show some improvement. Take BUFFALO!

Arizona at Atlanta

Falcons (-) over Cardinals- The defending NFC Champions have opened their pre-season 0-2 and the Falcons will be hosting Arizona who are 1-1 in these meaningless match-ups. Arizona is off a disappointing 7-8-1 season where injuries took their toll and their quarterback play dropped off significantly. Atlanta opened with two road games and will look to post a win at home to re-establish confidence. I don't expect this one to be that close. Take the FALCONS!

New England at Detroit 7:00 ET

Lions (+) over Patriots- The Super Bowl Champions who were 16-3 ATS last season are just going through the motions during this preseason (0-2, 0-2 ATS) although they have scored 24 and 23 points in their two losses to Jacksonville and Houston. Detroit enters this contest with two wins against arguably to two worst teams in the NFL defeating Indianapolis 28-3 and the Jets 16-6. Now, with Matt Stafford about to sign a contract extension it is the Lions' defense that has come to the fore-front not allowing a touchdown yet this preseason. I expect New England to stay low-key until the game really count. Take DETROIT!

Carolina at Jacksonville 7:30 ET

Jaguars (+) over Panthers- Quarterbacks are the focal point of tonight's encounter between the Panthers and Jaguars as Carolina's Cam Newton is supposed to make his first appearance since should surgery and Chad Henne will start in place of pitiful Blake Bortles. That being said, the most important player in or out of the line-up will be Jacksonville's Leonard Fournette who should see playing time as his ankle 'heels.' Carolina will look to stay healthy here while the Jaguars must look to improve. Take JACKSONVILLE!

New York Giants at Cleveland 8:00 ET

Browns (+) over Giants- The Giants are expected to give the Cowboys a run for the NFL East as they have addressed their lack of running game in the off-season and have what could be considered the best receiving corps in the league. Eli Manning is one of the elite quarterbacks and with this group to throw to with Odell Beckham leading the way but he won't be seeing much if any action tonight. Cleveland has a long way to go to gain respectability but with 'fresh' personnel and better coaching they will show marked improvement. The Browns will show up here but the Giants may not. Take CLEVELAND!
