New Orleans and Washington meet and this a good under spot. These two teams are incredibly inconsistent and this total is too high. Washington only averages 112 ppg while New Orleans is only at 115. Neither offense has been able to score consistently and they go through stretches during games where they struggle to create quality looks. Expect this game to be sloppy and very slow developing as both teams will slow the pace down. This will turn into a grind of a game and the possessions will get longer as the game goes on. Nebraska and Iowa meet and this is a good spot on Nebraska. The Cornhuskers return home after their California trip to close out the season against Iowa. Nebraska has been dominant at home all season and this is a revenge spot after losing by 5 at Iowa earlier this season. The Cornhuskers Put up 78 ppg and they’re going to look to get out and run against a very inconsistent Iowa defense. Expect them to come out aggressive and keep their foot on the gas all game. BYU and Texas Tech headline a huge night slate in CBB and this is a good spot on BYU. The Cougars are kind of the team nobody talks about in the Big 12 and they’re putting together a good season. They have 20 wins and they’ve come up with some key wins at home. They’ve defeated Iowa State in this building and Tech is off a very tough loss to TCU at home. This is a difficult travel spot for them going up against a BYU team that puts up 84.4 ppg. Look for BYU to come out firing here and have this crowd into all game. Back BYU.

The Blue Jackets and Mammoth meet and were on Columbus. The Blue Jackets have been dominant at home and are off a win over Florida inside this building. They continue to put a lot of shots on net and they’re going to pepper this Utah net on Saturday. Columbus has won 3 in a row and they’ve tallied 12 goals in that span. This is the middle part of a 5 game road swing for them and it’s a tough situational spot. Back Columbus.

The Pistons and Nets battle and we’re on the Pistons laying the points. Brooklyn has lost 10 in a row and they’re not just losing these games, they’re getting blown out. Detroit continues to pace the East and they’re thankful to be out of a brutal stretch in their schedule and run into the lowly nets. Detroit has beat up on lower tier teams constantly and they’re going to have their way on both ends of the floor against Brooklyn. Louisville and Miami meet and this is a great spot on the Cardinals. Louisville ended their short two game losing skid and they’ve been a tough draw for teams. They put up 85.7 ppg and this offense has a lot of weapons that can cause a lot of problems. They play quick and force opposing teams to scramble defensively and that’s what they’ll do to this Miami side. Louisville’s speed is going to be the difference and they’re going to seek another signature win. Back Louisville.

Houston and Oklahoma State meet and we’re on Houston. The Cougars had to grind out a win against Baylor last time out and wrap things up with an Oklahoma State team that is off one of their biggest wins against UCF. This is a tough spot to have to come right back against one of the best defenses in the nation. Houston only allows 62.3 ppg and they are a swarming defense. They’re going to frustrate this Oklahoma State offense all night and force them into a lot of turnover. Houston is just too physical and too talented. Back Houston.

San Antonio is the move laying the points. After going undefeated in February, they bounced back from a rare loss with a 131 point performance against the 76ers last time out. This offense is just so tough to handle and they combine that with such a gritty defense. They allowed just 91 points against Phili and they are just so quick. This is a mismatch against an inconsistent Clippers team that has struggled mightily against good teams this season. Lay the points with the Spurs.

Miami Ohio and Ohio meet in a huge rivalry game on Friday night. This has all the makings of a high intensity game as OU tries to ruin the perfect season for Miami in front of a sell out crowd. These two defenses are going to step up tremendously and put a lot of pressure on the opposing shooters. Miami Ohio has allowed 72 points or less in three straight and Ohio has shown signs at times this year where they can really frustrate teams with their swarming defense. Carolina averages 3.22 gpg themselves and with how well both offenses have performed, this is a great over spot. Back the over.

Los Angeles and Denver meet and we’re on the Lakers. Los Angeles has gone on a mini run as they’ve won 3 straight and they’re getting the job done defensively. The intensity will pick up given such a big game and they have been able to play good teams tough this year. They’re healthy and playing with a lot of confidence right now. Back Los Angeles.

Boston and Charlotte meet and this is a good over spot. This total opens low and these two offenses have the capabilities of putting up a lot of points. Both teams like to play quick and Charlotte in particular is at their best when they can get up and down the floor. Boston is right there at 114 ppg and they are one of the best in the league when it comes to shooting the 3 ball. Expect a back and forth game here as both teams will push the tempo. Grab the over.

The Devils have value as they welcome in the Maple Leafs. Both teams have been disappointments this season, but as of late the Maple Leafs have completely bottomed out. They’re struggling to generate good looks and they’re allowing a lot of shots on their own net. New Jersey throttled the Panthers at home on Tuesday night and they have something to build off of coming into play. New Jersey has won 2 straight and has outscored the opposition 8-2 in that process. This is a game where they can dictate the possession and wear down Toronto. LIU and Chicago State meet in the Northeast Conference tourney and this is a good spot to lay the points with LIU. Chicago State tallied just 7 wins all year and both matchups against LIU were blowout losses. They limp in here as they’ve dropped 4 of their last 5 as this offense was one of the worst all season sitting at 65 ppg. LIU is just the opposite as they’ve won 4 of 5 entering play and they allowed 65 points or less in 3 of those 4 wins. This is a great spot for another lopsided contest between these two sides. Nebraska has the value here on the road against UCLA. Nebraska is in the midst of their California swing and it got off to a great start on Saturday after a 15 point win over USC. Edmonton and Ottawa meet and this is a good over spot. Edmonton right now has been playing with a lot of pace and they’re seeing the result of that be high scoring games. They finished with all 5 games in February having 7 or more goals in total and their season numbers sit at 3.52 gpg while conceding 3.33. Ottawa isn’t far behind with 3.29 gpg while giving up 3.13. This game will feature a lot of end to end action with both teams peppering the opposing net. Expect a lot of scoring chances and for this game to feature a lot of goals. Back the over.

The Cavaliers are the move catching points. This is revenge spot after Cleveland blew a game Friday in Detroit where they led for a majority of the game. Despite being without Mitchell, Cleveland got a huge boost with James Harden returning last time out. Cleveland still has a lot of depth and this is a game where Allen and Mobley will be the difference. Expect Cleveland to play through them and control the paint on both ends of the floor. Both teams continue to fight for signature wins that will help boost their 1 seed resumes and this game will be played incredibly tight. Arizona hasn’t allowed more than 68 points in regulation games in their last 6 home games. Iowa State has seen the under hit in 6 of their last 8 conference games. Both teams are near the top defensively in the Big 12 and they’ll put a lot more pressure on the opposing shooters in this game. The Celtics have value laying the points. Boston is not just beating teams, but they’re blowing them out convincingly when they win. They’re off a 148-111 win over Brooklyn and now take on a shorthanded Bucks side. Milwaukee was just blown out by Chicago 120-97 and they haven’t had any sort of rhythm all year. Boston has far too many weapons and a much better offensive attack that will wear down this Bucks defense right from the start. Boston only gives up 107 ppg defensively as well, as they swarm to the ball and rarely allow many 2nd or 3rd chances on possessions. New York and Columbus meet and we’re on the Rangers. Columbus came out of the break and has stumbled twice as they try and get their groove back. This is an extremely tough match up for them inside MSG against a physical Rangers team. New York had a huge come back win over Pittsburgh Saturday and they’re going to play such a physical style against the Jackets. Columbus has allowed 4 goals in each loss following the Olympic break and defensively they’re struggling right now. New York will continue the possession and wear down this Columbus defense. We’re on Orlando with the points. Detroit is off a comeback win against Cleveland and it was an emotional one on Friday. This is a tough spot to travel down to Florida against an Orlando team that plays extremely physical. Orlando has won 3 of 5 and they aren’t shy about playing with playing an aggressive style. They give up only 114 ppg and their defense can be suffocating at times. They’re going to have Detroit out of rhythm and pressure them all game long, as they’ll have their chances to steal this outright. Grab the points in what will be a close game throughout. Indiana and Michigan State meet and we’re on the Hoosiers. It’s crunch time for Indiana, who needs to build up wins and a win over a top 25 team would do wonders for their resume. Michigan State just went into Purdue and stole a win, leaving this as a let down spot. Indiana is a tough place to play and this is a game where they can get momentum early on MSU. They have the weapons that can score and averaging nearly 80 ppg will be something they can lean on. Indiana will have their chances with this sold out crowd to cause some havoc early. Back Indiana.

Pittsburgh and Vegas meet and it’s an early start of Vegas traveling to the East Coast. Pittsburgh blew a 2-0 lead on Saturday in New York, but returning home will be a nice sight for them. Vegas is in the midst of a long road trip and are off a loss in Washington on Friday. Pittsburgh needs every win possible at this point and they’ve played a majority of their best hockey at home. Overall, they average 3.42 gpg and they’ll be able to expose a Vegas defense that has had issues. Vegas gives up over 3 gpg and they’ve struggle to contain teams when it comes to 2nd and 3rd chances. Situationally, this is a great spot on Pittsburgh. Back the Pens.

Gonzaga and St. Mary’s meet as these two renew their rivalry in a crucial spot. We’re on Gonzaga laying the points as they’re just a more complete team this season. They have one of the best inside out games in the entire nation and they’re going to force the Gaels into some very difficult defensive situations. This is the kind of game where they can wear down St. Mary’s and start to open up more and more shooting lanes as the game gets deeper. Gonzaga averages nearly 87 ppg and this offense will have a field day with their ability to get up and down the floor. Lay the points with this late night bail-out play.

Golden State has value catching points against the Lakers. The Warriors have been such an interesting team this season. They have struggled to stay healthy and at times they’ve shown they can either get blown out or compete with the best. Thats what they have to do and use it to their advantage as they have a lot of depth even despite the injuries. The Lakers have dropped 3 in a row and are just struggling as a whole offensively. Arkansas and Florida meet and we’re on the Razorbacks catching points. Arkansas has been lighting up the scoreboard. They’re averaging 90.3 ppg and have one of the best offenses in the entire nation. They push the tempo on teams and they have so many threats both inside and out. This is a game where they can overwhelm the Gators defense and wear them out as this game goes on. They came out of the break and dropped back to back games to Tampa and Florida, as they struggled to generate much offense. Ottawa has stepped up defensively themselves as of late and they’re playing a much more possession game. Expect them to try and wear down Toronto as they’ll produce many scoring chances against a defense that allows 3.42 gpg. Back Ottawa.

Kentucky and Vandy meet and this is a good spot on Kentucky. The Wildcats are in need of resume building wins now as they sit with 18 wins so far this season. They finally put an end to their 3 game losing streak with a 9 point win over South Carolina and now return home with a chance to beat the number 25 team in the nation. Vandy has been very vulnerable on the road as well and this team has gone through stretches where they’ve struggled to find consistent defensive stops. Kentucky will come out the aggressor and they’re going to wear down Vandy. Back Kentucky.

The Mavericks have value as they take on the Grizzlies. Both teams continue to be shorthanded as they’re dealing with many injuries. However, Dallas has seemed to handle it much better and they’re at least being competitive in games, while stealing a few. They’ve won 2 of their last 3 entering Friday and it’s been Naji Marshall who has stepped up. He’s dropped 36 and 21 in each of his last two games and he gets to go up against a Memphis defense that is just a mess. This is a great spot for Dallas to dictate the pace and find a lot of success attack the paint. Back Dallas.

New York and Milwaukee meet and this is a good over spot. Even without Giannis, the Bucks are getting production from a lot of different players. They just put up 118 on the Cavs and that comes after a 128 point performance against Miami. New York’s offense should have a field day against this Milwaukee defense, that has a lot of gaps in it. They give up a lot of easy looks in transition and they will have a hard time with all of these outside threats the Knicks have. Grab the over.

Illinois +1.5

Illinois and Michigan meet and we’re on Illinois. This is a prime bounce back spot after having to run their California trip and losing to UCLA at the buzzer on Saturday. They got a much needed layoff and now will have this place rocking with one of the top teams in the nation in town. Illinois has played exceptionally well at home and overall this offense is so difficult to stop. They average 85.1 ppg and turn defense into offense better than anyone. They only concede 69.0 ppg and their high pressure defense will have Michigan struggling to find open looks. Illinois is the move. Back the Fighting Illini.

Calgary and San Jose have value to the under. Neither of these teams like to push the tempo offensively and this game should be played very slowly. San Jose averages 3.07 gpg, but even that number has decreased over the last month. Calgary has one of the worst offenses in the NHL at 2.50 gpg and their attack is so stagnant. Neither team likes to pepper the net as they both like to work the puck around. These first few games will feature lower scoring chances out of the long layoff and this game will have scoring at a premium. Grab the under.

Michigan State and Purdue clash in a crucial Big 10 showdown. We’re on the over as these two teams love to push the tempo. Michigan State averages over 78 ppg while Purdue is at 82.9 ppg themselves. Both teams aren’t shy about pushing the ball in transition and they’re going pick up the tempo even more in this game. Expect plenty of transition shots and quick shots throughout this game, as both teams will look to put together scoring spurts. This is a great spot for a high scoring, back and forth game. Houston and Orlando meet and we’re on the Rockets. Houston has won back to back games and they’ve done it with dominant offense. They put up 125 and 128 in those wins as this offense just has so many weapons that can hurt opponents. Combine that with how good this team is defensively and they’re just such an overwhelming opponent. They gave up 105 and 97 in those two wins and overall they average just 109.1 ppg against. Orlando will struggle to get into any sort of rhythm offensively themselves, as Houston will wear them out as this game goes on. Back the Rockets.

Cal is being undervalued in this spot. Cal has flown under the radar a bit, as they come in with 19 wins and have won back to back games. They’re looking for another win to pad their resume and beating an SMU team here will go a long way. Cal has been solid on both ends of the floor so far this season and their pace has caused issues for opponents. They average nearly 79 ppg and they like to push the ball a lot in transition. SMU has struggled at times with fast teams and this will be a game they have their hands full with Cal’s ability to shoot from the outside. Expect Cal to keep this close throughout and really set the pace from the start, which will wear down this SMU side. Back Cal.

The NHL is back. Utah and Colorado meet and this is a great spot for Utah. Colorado’s top players spent time all over the Olympics and they had the likes of MacKinnon and Maker both see significant ice time. They’re listed as questionable and even if they play, they’re going to see their minutes cut back. Utah won back to back games heading into the break and they have been one of the surprises this year with 30 wins. This is a nice price as they’re at home and get an Avs teams that has fatigue issues. Back Utah.

Wednesday 4* NHL ML Play

Spurs -7.5

San Antonio and Toronto meet and there is good value on the Spurs. Toronto is off a loss to the Thunder and they have just struggled when it comes to playing top teams. The Spurs haven’t lost this month and are off a 114-103 win over the top team in the East against Detroit. They’re averaging nearly 119 ppg and only giving up 111.9, as they have been so difficult to crack with their speed and length. Toronto just doesn’t have the weapons to keep up and will struggle with the Spurs ability to attack the rim early in this game. Back the Spurs and lay the points.

Wednesday 2* NBA ATS Play

Tennessee and Missouri meet and this is a great over spot. Missouri has been on a recent run as of late where they have struggled defensively. They’ve hit four straight overs and have had at least 153 points in all of those contests. Both of these teams average just over 80 ppg as Tennessee is at 80.9, while Missouri is at 80.2. They both like to pick up the pace a little and they’re going to try and turn this game into a track meet both ways. Expect plenty of transition play and a lot of early shots in the shot clock. Dallas and Brooklyn meet and we’re on the Mavs. Brooklyn is just in an absolute free fall and they’ve dropped 4 straight games. They’re struggling on both sides of the floor and they’re even managing to score in the 80’s during this recent stretch, which is extremely tough to do in today’s NBA. Dallas is off a good win over Indiana and despite their injury issues, they’re still battling this season. They scored 134 points in the win over Indy and they’re getting contributions from many different players. Dallas is the better team on both ends of the floor. Back the Mavs.

Miami Ohio and EMU meet and we’re laying the points with the Redhawks. Miami continues to roll and they’re going to keep trying to win in as much style as possible given they could end up being in the mix for at large bid down the road. Miami is off another 90+ point outing and they just have far too much firepower for EMU to keep up with. Miami averages 92.3 ppg while EMU sits at 71.1. The Eagles have dealt with injuries all season and they aren’t going to be able to keep up with speed of this Redhawks offense. This is a great number on Miami. Back the Redhawks.

Houston and Kansas meet and we’re on Houston. The Big 12 continues to beat up on one another and this is a prime bounce back spot for Houston after being upset on Saturday against Arizona. Houston has bounced back in big ways all year and this is a perfect spot for them. Their defense is one of the best in the nation and they give up just 62 ppg. They’ll turn this game into a grind and force a lot of difficult possessions from Kansas’ side. Back Houston.

Memphis and Sacramento have value to the under. These are two extremely inconsistent teams offensively and they have really struggled all year staying healthy. Los Angeles and Orlando clash and we’re on the Clippers. Los Angeles continues to put together good games and after their slow start, they’re putting themselves right back into the playoff picture. They’ve won 2 of 3 and are off a 3 point loss to the Lakers, but getting to stay at home is huge here. Orlando has had issues on the road and fell to Phoenix Saturday in 2 overtimes. Fatigue will be an issue here and the Clippers have enough veteran leadership to wear this team down. Lay the points. Back Los Angeles.

Denver and the Warriors meet and we’re on the Nuggets. Denver is off a 54 point win over Portland as they made a statement in a blowout win. Golden State continues to be without Curry and this offense just hasn’t had the same firepower. They have dropped back to back games and now they have to play through Porzingis, who simply can’t be a difference maker. Jokic and Murray, along with the rest of the supporting cast put up 157 on Portland and this young group from the Warriors will struggle defensively. This is a great spot for Denver to control the pace and control both the paint and perimeter, in what will be a lopsided game. Back Denver.

Drexel and Towson meet and we’re on Drexel. Drexel is off a 70-61 win over Northeastern and this is a revenge spot after losing to Towson by 2 earlier this year. Drexel only allows 67.7 ppg and this defense is going to be the difference. They swarm to the ball and force a lot of turnovers, which should lead to some easy transition buckets. Towson has lost 2 of 3 and their issues stem offensively. They don’t have a lot of weapons and Drexel’s defense will expose that. Grab the home side.

Atlanta and Miami meet and this is a great spot on Atlanta. The Hawks are such a tough matchup for the Heat, given how quick they play. Miami has just been far too inconsistent and have struggled defensively as a whole. They allow 118 ppg themselves and they have struggled with this style of play. The Terps are the move over the Buckeyes. It’s been a struggle so far for Maryland, but they’re off a stretch where they played the number 10, 11, and 12 teams in the nation in 3 straight games. They matchup well with Ohio State, who is off a loss to Wisconsin and has dropped 2 of 3. They’re reeling a bit and Maryland’s physicality will be a difference maker here. Expect this game to turn into a big grind, with both teams wearing each other down. This will be close throughout. Back Maryland.

Ottawa and Philadelphia meet and we’re on the Sens. Ottawa has won 4 of their last 5 as they’re heading into the break very strong. They’ve averaged 3.32 gpg in the first half of the season as they continue to play with a lot of pace. They aren’t shy about getting up and down the ice quick and they’ll look for counter attacking opportunities. Phili has lost 4 of 5 and they’re struggling offensively as they put up under 3 gpg. Ottawa is the better all around team and they’ll put the pressure on early. Back the Sens.
