Detroit has surprised a lot of people this year and they have value in this spot. My difference maker tonight you ask? Cade Cunningham. Can't wait to watch this matchup with Brunson. Sitting 1 game over .500, the Pistons are 6-1 this month. They have looked solid overall on both ends of the floor and they’re getting production from a lot of different players. They take on a Knicks team that has a lot of injury questions, so we may not see them at 100%. PLUS, Knicks aren't great guarding shots from beyond the arch. Orlando has the value here. The Magic have Banchero back in the lineup and they are in a great spot against such an inconsistent 76ers side. Phili is just 1-5 ATS when catching 1-3 points as they haven’t fared well in close games. Orlando is going to have the edge as this 76ers team just doesn’t play well on short rest. They fell Friday to the Pelicans and this is another spot where they will struggle. Back Orlando.

Oklahoma City and Cleveland matchup on Wednesday as these two teams sit at the top of their leagues. The value sits with the Thunder here as this will be a measuring stick for both teams. Oklahoma City’s defense is going to be the best that the Cavs have seen, as they allow nothing easy. Cleveland’s shooting has been top notch, but the Thunder are going to shut those down. This game will turn into a grind and that favors the Thunder who will have the Cavs off rhythm.

Houston and Washington have value to the under on Tuesday night. This game is going to be played at the Rockets pace. They come in one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, allowing just 106 ppg so far. They turn up the pressure tremendously time and time again, and they’ll force the Wizards out of their rhythm here. Expect this game to turn into a grind from the start and for transition buckets to be very minimal. Houston will force this into a half court style game, which will chew up a lot of clock per possessions. Grab the under as this total is just too high.

Memphis struggled at the tail end of the road trip, but returning home is just what they need. This is a great spot and number on Memphis. They have covered 12 of the last 15 at home and Dallas right now is so depleted. They are without Luka and the injuries have hurt them significantly. In those 12 games, they’ve won by at least 5 points too as they’ve shot much better inside this building. This is a game where they’ll be recharged and have the edge over the Mavs who are reeling right now. Grab the home side and lay the points.

The Spurs have value here as they welcome in the Clippers. San Antonio has played well overall this season and they have given all the top teams some good games. They play through Wemby and he is going to cause this Clippers defense a ton of issues. Fatigue will play a role and that gives the situational edge to the Spurs.

Los Angeles comes in winners of 3 of their last 4 and they have looked much better since LeBron James took a short rest. This team is attacking much better and he’s the spark that has provided them with playing far better overall. This is a matchup where they’re going to come out looking to attack in transition and it’ll open up the floor for their outside threats. They have the weapons to matchup with the Warriors and we’re getting good value at this number. Grab the Lakers.

The Spurs are playing well lately and have value here. They have won 4 of their last 6 and they could have easily been in a situation where they had won 5 of those as they nearly took down the 76ers on Monday. San Antonio is going to throw out all the stops here as they will come in looking to play through Wemby inside against KAT. The Cavs and Bucks meet in Cleveland on Friday night and this is a good spot for the home side. Cleveland continues to be one of the best teams at home overall and they are rolling once again. The 76ers will be without Joel Embiid once again and this is a good value spot on the Hornets at home. Charlotte has struggled at times, but they still have shown some solid play here and there. The Thunder have beaten up on bad teams, but they’ve struggled when it comes to taking on the top teams in the NBA. Expect a very slow developing kind of game where neither team looks to attack early in the shot clock. They’re dealing with injuries and they just haven’t had much in terms of defensive success. Boston will pick apart their defense and create a lot of open shooting lanes for their outside threats. This will be a game where they can turn this into a grind and really have the Bucks struggling to find some rhythm. The Nets and Bulls meet on Monday and this is a great spot for an over play. These two teams are young and love to get out and run. Chicago has given up 125 ppg so far this season because of quickly they play. That’s should result in some easy transition buckets the other way for the Nets in this game. On the flip side of it, Brooklyn is giving up nearly 115 ppg and they have just been a struggle overall at times to get stops. Look for both teams to get out and run, pushing the tempo on one another. This will be a game where both teams find some easy transition buckets and it gives a good over spot.

The Pelicans and Knicks meet Sunday and this is a good under spot. The Pelicans just have been a debacle all season long and this offense is a mess. The Cavs and Hawks meet again and this is a revenge spot for Cleveland. The Hawks beat them on Wednesday in Cleveland as the Cavs just couldn’t solve this Hawks offense. Cleveland is still one of the best in the league on both sides of the ball and they’ve made every adjustment possible this season when things have gone wrong. The Nets have value here against Phoenix on Wednesday night. Brooklyn is playing top teams very well this year and they continue to cause teams a lot of issues on both ends of the floor. Philadelphia has value here grabbing points against Houston. This is a bit of a let down spot for the Rockets after a wild overtime game against Minnesota on Tuesday. The 76ers are without George and Embiid, but it’s given way to some of the younger guys who play much quicker. Look for them to turn this game into a track meet and wear down the Rockets. Milwaukee is catching fire and they have the value against Miami on Tuesday. The Bucks have won 4 straight and they’re finding their offensive groove. The bench is coming in with the likes of Bobby Portis and Gary Trent Jr. who are putting up double digits consistently. That’s the biggest key for this team is the supporting cast has to produce. Miami is just 7-7 and they’ve been too inconsistent to trust. They just have lacked any sort of offensive spark and they have struggled shooting the 3. Memphis and Chicago meet on Saturday in Chicago and this is a good spot for a lower scoring game. This is two teams that have just been wildly inconsistent all season long. These are two of the slowest teams pace wise in the NBA and they’re going to showcase that here on Saturday. The Lakers have value here as they have a good situational edge against the Magic. Los Angeles will catch the Magic in the 2nd leg of their back to back as they were beaten by the Clippers last night. The Lakers are going to play a physical game and they’re going to wear down this Magic team as the game goes on. Orlando has gone through spurts where they struggle to score and their issues continued last night against the Clippers. They’re running into a hot Lakers team that will impose their will in the paint on both ends of the floor. This is a great value spot here for the Lakers to get out early and keep their foot on the gas.

The Clippers have won back to back games and they have value laying the small number. Los Angeles put together solid performances against Utah and Golden State as they’re starting to figure some things out. Norman Powell has stepped up tremendously and Harden continues to find his groove as this team is leaning on its stars to continue to produce. They take on a Magic team that is hot right now but situationally this is a tough spot. With the Lakers looming tomorrow, they’re going to struggle as they finish off this west coast swing. The Rockets have value against the Pacers on Wednesday night. Indiana has just been far too inconsistent to trust. They’ve struggled so far to find any sort of offensive firepower and defensively they’re a mess once again. The Rockets have a lot of depth and it’s becoming apparent that this team may have found something. They haven’t allowed losses to pile up and this team matches up very well with Portland. The Trail Blazers have won 3 in a row, but this team still has a ton of flaws. They’re a struggle defensively and Oklahoma City is going to push the tempo on them. This will be a game where the Thunder dictate the pace and control the paint both inside and out. The Lakers return home and right now they’re rolling. With 5 straight wins they’re putting together quite the start to their campaign and they look refreshed out of the gates. They’ve scored over 120 3 different times during this win and they’re getting a lot of production from the supporting cast. Being able to give James and Davis rest has been crucial and they’re finding a lot of different scorers both inside and out. They’ll pick apart this Jazz defense, as they’ve just struggled as a team overall. They’ve dropped 3 of their last 4 and defensively they’re not getting any key stops. The advantage is with the Lakers in this spot.

The Bucks take on the Rockets on Monday and this is a good spot for Milwaukee. Milwaukee fell by one last time out, but they’ve still cashed in 2 of their last 3 as they’re starting to figure things out even with key injuries. They’re playing with a ton of speed and it’s finally starting to look like the Bucks of old that likes to get out and run. They’re going to pick up the tempo on the Rockets and force them on their heels in transition. This will be a game the Bucks control and dictate the pace and they will be able to expose the youth in this Rockets side. There’s good value with the Bucks at home in this one on Monday night.

Detroit has won 3 of 4, but they have played a softer schedule compared to other teams so far. They’re going to have some regression from this start and going up against a fast Bulls team will cause some issues for them. Minnesota and Phoenix clash on Sunday and this is a good spot on the Twolves here. Minnesota comes in off a huge win over the Kings as they continue to try and figure things out. This will be a game they push the tempo and force the Suns out of their comfort zone. Phoenix scored just 83 points last time out and they’ve dropped back to back games as they’re struggling to find offense. We’re getting good value in this spot on Minnesota.

The Bucks may be figuring some things out here as they’ve put together a good winning streak coming into Charlotte. This is a good over spot as this game will turn into a track meet. Milwaukee has found their success recently with playing extremely fast and pushing the tempo on teams. That’s going to be the game plan on Saturday as they’ll play extremely fast and get out in transition. They’re producing a lot of open shooting lanes with their speed attack and this is a sluggish Hornets defense that’ll have its hands full. They play with equal speed and we’ve seen them push the tempo themselves on teams this season. Expect a back and forth affair all night long in what will be high scoring.

Washington catches a lot of points against the Hawks on Friday as these two teams square off in the NBA Cup. Washington and Atlanta met in a home and home already and it was Washington that took both games. The Hawks are just 4-8 ATS and 1-6 ATS at home coming into play on Friday. Washington has the confidence against this Hawks team that lacks a lot of defensive discipline. They’re going to have their hands full with Washington’s speed and ability to attack the rim. They just dropped 130 against the Spurs as they’ve shown they can score in flurries. This is a good spot and number on the Wizards who will keep it close.

Detroit heads north to take on the Raptors and we’re getting good value on the Pistons at this number. Toronto is just 2-10 and they’ve dropped 5 in a row coming into play on Friday. They’re just a debacle on both ends of the floor as they don’t have the depth or playmakers at the top to make a difference. The Pistons are 5-8, but they’ve shown some solid signs throughout the early portion of this season. They’ve competed with some of the top teams down to the wire and they’re getting some good offensive production from their young guys. The Cavs and 76ers will meet in Phili on Wednesday and this has the makings of a good over game. Cleveland comes in undefeated and it’s been a dominant start with this team lighting up the scoreboard. They are running wild with speed and their ability to hit the 3 ball has been tops in the league. This roster is deep and their scoring is coming from many different players. Phili is healthy again and with Embiid and George back, this team should be able to find much more offensive success as the games go on. The Pelicans and Thunder meet on Wednesday night and this is a good under spot. Both of these teams have been hit with injuries and it’s given them a struggle with depth. This is a game of depleted rosters that will struggle to find some scoring all around. Look for them to turn this into a slower developing game and for these two teams to work a lot of the shot clock. Orlando and Indiana have become very familiar with each other as they meet on Wednesday night. This will be the 3rd meeting with the teams splitting the first two games. Orlando has won 3 straight and they’re coming up big defensively. They’ve held the opposition to under 100 points in all 3 wins and they’re getting huge stops in transition. They’re forcing the opposition to make tough decisions in the paint and they are one of the best at closing out on shooters. Indiana has been extremely inconsistent and that’s going to be a struggle for them against this aggressive defense. Grab the Magic in this spot.

The Timberwolves and Trail Blazers meet on Tuesday and this is a nice under spot between two teams trying to find their identity still. Portland looked atrocious last time out as they struggled to find any sort of offensive production. Minnesota has shown some good signs, but they too need to find their groove. All the new pieces in the offseason are taking some time to gel and this will be a game where they play to the style of Portland. The Suns meet with the Jazz on Tuesday and this is a great spot on the Suns, laying the points. Phoenix will be without Durant here, but that doesn’t remove any value as the line shrinks. Devin Booker has been able to carry the load when Durant is out and that’s going to be the case here. This will be a game where Phoenix can pick apart this Jazz defense as they rank near the bottom in many defensive categories. Their struggles come from allowing a lot of easy looks in transition and they’ll have issues with how quick the Suns play. Expect a lot of open looks and shooting lanes for Phoenix, who is off to a fast 8-2 start. Back the Suns.

The Celtics and Hawks open NBA Cup play on Tuesday night and Boston has good value. Boston will catch an Atlanta team that has just struggled extremely overall. They come in losers in 3 of 4 and they’ve gave up at least 122 points in all 3 losses. That doesn’t bode well for them as they take on a really good and deep Boston side. The Celtics are off to a fast start again and they’re doing it on both ends of the floor. The Celtics are going to impose their will on both ends of the floor and it’ll start with them dominating the paint. Shooting lanes will open and Boston is one of the best teams at creating open shots. This is a complete mismatch.

The Rockets have good value here in this spot against the Wizards. Houston has started 6-4 and they’ve won 3 of 4 as they’re playing with a ton of confidence right now. Cleveland is off a high Saturday when they came back to win and this will be the let down kind of game for them. The Grizzlies have been a bit of a surprise out of the gates and they have value here laying a point on the road in Portland. Memphis comes in 6-4 and they’ve done it with speed and scoring. In their 3 wins this month, they’ve put up 124,131, and 128 points. Their ability to get out and run and find open shooting lanes has been top notch as of late. They’re getting production top to bottom from this lineup and they’re riding a hot Jaren Jackson Jr. who is scoring 22.0 ppg. He dropped 39 last time out and right now he’s the igniter to this lineup. Portland has struggled mighty defensively and it’s led them to having issues slowing teams down in the transition game. This is a good spot for Memphis.

The Nuggets and Mavs meet on Sunday and this is a good under spot for them. Dallas has been slowing the tempo down more and more and it’s led to them playing some lower scoring games. Their defensive intensity is one of the best in the league and they put relentless pressure on opposing shooters. This is a game where both teams will play with a bit more intensity defensively given how they’re expected to be two of the top teams in the West. Both teams played Friday and they’ve been through a tough stretch overall that has worn them down. Look for some struggles on the offensive end both ways and for this game to turn into a grind. The Cavs are red hot and the last unbeaten team just rolled over the Warriors on Friday. Now they go into the 2nd leg of a back to back against the Nets on Saturday. This is another good spot on Cleveland, who will just overwhelm the Nets from start to finish here. Brooklyn has struggled with quick team and this will be no different for them. Cleveland’s run and gun style allows them to open shooting lanes like no other. They hit 20 three pointers on Friday night as they aren’t shy about hoisting them up. Cleveland will do that once again and the Nets just don’t have the firepower to keep up. Look for Cleveland to overwhelm them from the start in what is a lopsided game.

The Lakers have the value against the 76ers, who are just a debacle right now. Los Angeles comes in 4-4, while the 76ers have just 1 win in the year. They’ve dropped 4 in a row and it’s been a debacle for them on both ends of the floor. Philadelphia fell to the Clippers 110-98 last time out as this team just can’t find any sort of rhythm. Defensively, this is going to be such a tough matchup for them as LA can really be physical in the paint. The lack of a presence in the paint with Embiid out is a huge loss for the 76ers and that’s going to be the difference Friday. The Lakers will impose their will and control the paint on both ends of the floor in a game that is played to their pace and liking. Lay the points and continue to fade the 76ers.

The Thunder take on the Rockets and this is a good spot for the Thunder at home. Oklahoma City hasn’t messed around at all this season, winning 7 of their first 8 games and they’ve done it with stellar defense. Despite losing for the first time last time out, they held the opposition to just 92 and 86 points in their preview two wins. They’re putting an emphasis on closing out on shooters and not allowing much on the offensive glass. They’re going to do that against a Houston team, that has a lot of youth. They are a streaky team and this is just too tough of a matchup for them. Look for Oklahoma City to dictate the pace and control this game from the start. They’re the far better team and are just simply too powerful for the Rockets. Lay the points.

The Warriors and Cavs meet in Cleveland on Friday night and we’re on the Warriors with the points. Cleveland remains the last unbeaten as they’ve started this season off on a tear. This is too many points though to give to a really good Warriors team. Golden State is proving they are going to be legit contenders as they sit at 7-1 and come in off a very impressive win on the road against Boston. Golden State got contributions from so many different players, which includes Curry and Wiggins who led the way. Golden State can shoot the 3 as good as anyone and they push the tempo on teams. They have just been a mess defensively and they will have their hands full with this Jazz attack that plays very well in transition. Utah has had the same issues defensively themselves as they’re struggling to get stops. Both teams have given up a lot of open shooting lanes and this game will turn into a track meet. The 76ers will head into LA on Wednesday as Paul George will meet with his former team in this matchup. This is a good spot for the 76ers, who have to get things on track. While they await Embiid to now come back from his suspension, George will have to be the one to carry the load. He comes in off a 15 point performance against the Suns and for the first time in a while here, Phili looked like a competent team despite the loss. They matchup well with the Clippers, who have had a lot of defensive issues so far this year. Look for a motivated 76ers team that will come out and push the ball in transition. We’re grabbing the visitors on Wednesday. 

Wednesday 8* NBA ATS Play

Rockets -6.5

The Rockets welcome in the Spurs on Wednesday and were on the Rockets in this spot. Houston has caught some fire, winning 3 in a row which includes a win over this Spurs team. This will be the third time these two teams are meeting this year already and Houston is the hotter of the two. Fresh off a win over Knicks, Houston has looked good on the defensive end. They held the Knicks to under 100 points and they have been overwhelming teams with their ability to win the battle in the paint. This will be another game where their big men take over, which includes Sengun who has been stellar to start the campaign. Averaging 16.4 ppg, he’s been solid all around and a difference maker on both ends of the floor. Grab Houston.  

Wednesday 9* NBA ATS Play

UNDER 226.5

The Pacers and Magic meet and this is a good under spot on Wednesday night. The Magic have been just far too inconsistent offensively this season and in particular as of late. They’ve just managed 85 and 86 points as they’ve had zero efficiency along with some key injuries.  This is going to be a let down spot too for the Pacers after their big win over the Mavs last time out. Expect them to come out with some sloppy offensively play and for this to be the kind of game where neither team gets into a groove.
