With both teams already showing a willingness to grind in the half court and the Spurs likely tightening the screws defensively rather than trying to run, the setup points to another game that stays under the number.

4% Spurs/Thunder Game 7 NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): Two of the last three games in the series, both in San Antonio, have stayed under the total after a 3–0 over start to the series, with OKC contributing only 82 and 91 points in those two “under” contests. Now back home for a Game 7, I expect exceptional shooting from the Thunder, and the combination of high-intensity defense and Game 7 whistle tendencies can easily translate into a steady stream of free throws and easy points at the line.

4% Spurs/Wolves NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): The San Antonio Spurs are one win away from the Western Conference Finals after a dominant 126-97 victory, and their suffocating defense has been the story, holding Minnesota under 100 points in two of the five games.

With their season on the line, expect the Timberwolves to respond with that same defensive intensity. In a high-pressure spot like this, that points toward a slower pace and a game that stays under the total.

The Angle(s): The San Antonio Spurs held the Blazers to under 100 points in three of five games, and even in their lone loss they allowed just 106. Reigning unanimous Defensive Player of the Year, French superstar Victor Wembanyama, anchors one of the league’s elite defenses, while the Wolves counters with their own defensive force in Rudy Gobert. The Spurs will likely win in a blowout, but it’ll be via lockdown defense rather than a track-meet offense.

4% Raptors/Cavs NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): In the NBA playoffs so far, the under is 16-6 following an over. We’ve been printing money with this trend, and with just two games left in the opening round, I’m comfortable shining a light on it, because I’m not convinced the trend will survive into Round 2. We were a buzzer-eating Toronto three-pointer away from cashing this exact trend in Game 6 of this series. Bad beat, but I fully expect us to get that one back here.

4% Nuggets/Wolves NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): The Minnesota Timberwolves look to close out the series at home, holding a 3-2 lead despite a 125-113 loss at Denver last time out. In the previous two games in Minnesota, the Timberwolves held the Denver Nuggets to 96 points each time, and with superstar Anthony Edwards out, they will need to rely on their defense to keep this one close. Gimme me the under.

The Bet: UNDER (4%), 

Knicks/Hawks NBA BOOKIE BU$TER

The Angle(s): The New York Knicks hold a 3-2 series lead after back-to-back 114-98 and 126-97 wins. They've figured out how to effectively slow down the Atlanta Hawks' offense, and I think that will be the case again here on the road in Game 6. Gimme the under.

4% Rockets/Lakers NBA TOP PLAY of the Day 

The Angle(s): The Houston Rockets stayed alive with a 115-96 win in Game 4. They finally got a handle on LeBron James, holding him to 10 points on 2-of-9 shooting, and with Doncic and Reaves out, if LeBron is not at his best, this is a weak Lakers team. I think we will see another relatively low-scoring affair as Houston fights for its life.

The Bet: Under (4%). 

4% Sixers/Celtics NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): The zig-zag theory isn't just for sides. This playoffs, the under is 12-4 after an over, and the first three games of this series all stayed under before Celtics' 128-96 Game 4 win.

MAGIC MIKE'S 4% Thunder/Suns NBA TOP PLAY

The Angle(s): The Oklahoma City Thunder have scored 119, 120, and 121 points through the first three games of the series. They clearly know how to exploit the holes in Phoenix's defense, and the Suns must feel quite hapless down 3-0 with virtually no chance of redemption. I think the Thunder will keep running rampant on offense against a Suns team that will be happy to just get the ball back and try scoring some points. I do not expect much grit on defense from either side to be honest.

The Bet: OVER (4%). 

Cavs/Raptors NBA BOOKIE BREAKER

The Angle(s): The Toronto Raptors won Game 3 126-104, but I expect the Cavs to ramp up the intensity on the defensive end for this game. Also, the Raptors shot an unsustainable 61% (14-of-22) from three-point range, but that's unlikely to happen again.  

The Bet: UNDER (3%). 

5% SUPER MAX: NBA East TOTAL OF THE MONTH

The Angle(s): After losing game 1 of the series, the Detroit Pistons clamped down on defense again to win Game 2 98-93. They're holding opponents to 109.3 points per game (3), and will only improve the more they see of the Magic. We can also note that the Pistons are 14-5 (74%) to the under as road favorites of seven points or fewer. 

The Bet: UNDER (5%). 

Suns/Thunder NBA BOOKIE BREAKER 

The Angle(s): The Oklahoma City Thunder have locked down opponents all year, and showed just how in their 119-84 rout in Game 1 of this series. The Phoenix Suns are without a doubt one of the West's weaker playoff squads, and while OKC might ease off the gas late, their lockdown D stays relentless. I'm avoiding the inflated spread, but I love the under.

The Angle(s): The Philadelphia 76ers are 8-2 to the under in their last 10 games and the last three meetings with the Celtics all stayed under the total. This is a low number, but considering the circumstances with this being Game 1 of a playoff series between two bitter rivals, I think it should be even lower.

Rockets/Lakers NBA BOOKIE BU$TER

The Angle(s): Both teams will be without significant firepower in the opener of this best-of-seven series. The total reflects that, but I still think it's too high, considering the circumstances.

4% Warriors/Clippers NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): The Los Angeles Clippers (No. 9) edged the Golden State Warriors (No. 10) 115-110 in their regular-season finale on April 12, but this do-or-die play-in rematch amps the stakes with elimination on the line. Expect both squads to clamp down defensively for a grittier battle than the recent, looser, matchup.

The Angle(s): The Phoenix Suns are 14-9 to the under as home favorites and the the Portland Trail Blazers 15-8 to the under as road underdogs.

4% Pistons Magic NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): The Orlando Magic are 7-3 to the over in their last 10 games, but the last two meetings with the Detroit Pistons both stayed comfortably under the total. The Pistons have clinched the No. 1 seed and can start resting players, and while the second-stringers will look to make the most of their minutes, the drop-off is big enough for me to like the under here.

The Bet: UNDER (4%). 

4% Jazz/Thunder NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): The last meeting, with a closing total of 242½, went over the total, but only because it went to overtime. With the Oklahoma City Thunder more than a 20-point favorite, another OT seems unlikely, and I expect the home team to be able to bench its starters early. As for the Utah Jazz, several of their top scorers have missed extended time recently. 

The Bet: UNDER (4%). 

4% Magic/Mavs NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): The defensively challenged Dallas Mavericks don't seem to mind letting their young talent focus on offense over defense down the stretch. The Orlando Magic are gearing up for postseason basketball, but they've allowed 130+ points in three of their last five games, while Dallas has conceded 120+ in 12 of its last 14.

The Bet: OVER (4%). 

4% Suns/Hornets NBA TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): The Charlotte Hornets are 63% to the under overall this season and 67% to the under as home favorites. They held Phoenix to just 111 points less than a month ago, but still lost 111-99. I expect both teams to bring solid defense again and keep the final score under the total.

Pacers/Bulls NBA BOOKIE BU$TER 

The Angle(s): The Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Bulls will have to watch the playoffs from the sidelines, and while that scenario can lead to both teams coming out playing loose and easy, I think this total is way inflated. The Bulls are 70% to the under in 10 games with a total of 245 or higher, and 67% (10-5) to the under as home favorites on the season.

The Angle(s): The Washington Wizards got blown out 123-86 at Portland last night, but I expect them to put up way more points tonight and help push this one over the total. They're 4-0 to the over on no rest lately, and 3-1 to the over on no rest coming off an under this season.

Celtics/Hornets NBA BOOKIE BU$TER

The Angle(s): Both teams have leaned heavy to the under all season, and the relatively low total doesn't scare me, as the Hornets are perfect 4-0 to the under with totals under 220.

The Angle(s): The Portland Trailblazers are 15-2 (88%) to the over as home favorites. The Washington Wizards are 31-16 (66%) to the over as underdogs of 10 points or more on the season, and currently on a 10-2 run to the over in this spot.

The Angle(s): The Utah Jazz are 58% to the over overall on the season and 75% to the over as underdogs of 16 points or more. Additionally, they'll place on no rest and are 64% to the over on no rest on the season. History is on our side as well, with eight of the last 10 in this series going over the total.

The Angle(s): The Charlotte Hornets are turning into a "dark horse" for the playoffs. No, I don't seriously then can be a threat to the title, but they're playing great basketball, and it all starts with good defending. Coming off a 134-90 win over the Kings, I think they can hold the Knicks in check here.

4% Spurs/Grizzlies NBA Total TOP PLAY of the Day 

The Angle(s): The Memphis Grizzlies were blown out 146-107 in Atlanta on Monday, and while the San Antonio Spurs have scored 130+ points in three of their last four games, I still expect this to be a relatively low-scoring affair. The Grizzlies are 9-4 to the under as double-digit underdogs, and the Spurs can bring plenty of defensive pressure.

The Bet: UNDER (4%).

Thunder/Celtics NBA BOOKIE BREAKER

The Angle(s): This is a matchup between the No. 1 and No. 2 scoring defenses, and I don’t think the total fully reflects just how suffocating both teams can be on that end of the floor. Eight of the last 10 meetings have gone over the total, but the Thunder won 104-102 when they hosted Boston two weeks ago, and I expect this game to play out similarly.

The Bet: UNDER (3%). 

Spurs/Grizzlies NBA BOOKIE BLA$TER

The Angle(s): This looks like a good spot to back the Los Angeles Lakers to bounce back from a 113-110 loss at Detroit. They had won nine straight before running into a wall in Detroit on Monday, and I now expect them to close out this six-game road trip with a bang. The Lakers are 63% against the spread as road favorites, 5-1 against the spread as double-digit favorites home and away, and 17-8 against the spread coming off a loss.

Add a 5-2 over/under record as favorites of 10 points or more, and you have my reasons for backing the Lakers and the over.

The Angle(s): The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a 138-131 loss to the Clippers and they've scored 120+ in four of their last six games. The Golden State Warriors have struggled defensively of late and they re 14-5 to the over as road favorites, which they are (-2) when this pick is posted.

The Angle(s): The Golden State Warriors are 11-6 to the under as road underdogs and the Atlanta Hawks 14-7 to the under as home favorites. Atlanta is red hot, but the Warriors are too banged up to contribute enough points to push this one over the total.

The Angle(s): The Houston Rockets are 40-29 to the under on the season and showcased their steller defending in yesterday's 117-95 win over Atlanta. They are 21-11 to the under as home favorites and 64% to the under on no rest.

The Angle(s): The Charlotte Hornets won 112-97 at Memphis back in January and even with the Hornets coming off back-to-back 130+ point games, I think this will stay under as I don't see Memphis contribute enough.

The Angle(s): The Houston Rockets are 39-29 to the under on the season and 64% to the under as home favorites. The Atlanta Hawks have won 11 in a row and scored 120+ in each of their last 10, but I think they'll struggle to break down this rock-solid Houston team.

The Angle(s): The Brooklyn Nets are 39-30 to the under on the season but 59% to the over in games with totals of 217 and under. They've been held to fewer than 100 points in four consecutive games but I expect them to show up here against their rival.

The Angle(s): The Charlotte Hornets are coming off a 136-106 win over the Heat, but they're 6-2 to the under as favorites coming off an over and 42-27 (61%) to the under overall on the season. The Orlando Magic lost 113-108 to the Thunder their last time out and eight of the last time meetings with Charlotte have stayed under hte total, suggesting they're likely to get buckets in this one as well.

Mavs/Pelicans NBA BOOKIE BREAKER

The Angle(s): The Dallas Mavericks are 8-2 to the under in their last 10 games, but I'm fading that trend when they roll into NOLA Monday night. Rookie phenom Cooper Flagg's already smashing NBA records, and the Mavs won't leash him down the stretch; they're gonna let the kid cook to fast-track his growth. Pels can't guard a soul, so the sensation leads us to a track meet.

Suns/Celtics NBA TOTAL TOP PLAY of the Day

The Angle(s): Jayson Tatum played a season-high 32 minutes Saturday in a 111-100 victory over the Wizards. The Celtics have played surprisingly well without their previously injured superstar, excelling on defense by holding opponents to an NBA-best 107.0 points per game. They're 8-2 to the under in their last 10 games, and I don't think they're about to abandon that hard-nosed defensive identity.

Warriors/Knicks NBA BOOKIE BU$TER

The Angle(s): The Golden State Warriors are 39-27 to the over on the season and, even with Steph Curry out injured, they've played more overs than unders. Both teams are dealing with injuries as the NBA regular season winds down, but I think the bench players will be eager to leave their mark and showcase their talent for a playoff run.

The Angle(s): This is a big revenge spot for the Oklahoma City Thunder after losing the last two meetings, both in Minnesota, making the Wolves responsible for almost 15% of OKC's 15 losses for the season. The Angle(s): The Detroit Pistons are 37-28 to the under for the season but 9-4 to the over as a double-digit favorite (2-0 against teams from the West). The Memphis Grizzlies are coming off a 120-112 loss to Dallas—their sixth loss in a row, and fifth in a row with 122 points or more allowed.

Nets/Hawks NBA BOOKIE BREAKER

The Angle(s): The Atlanta Hawks have won seven on the bounce and scored 124-135 points across their last five games. They might run up the score again against a Nets team lacking a lot defensively, but note that the Hawks are 5-1 to the under as a double-digit favorite and the Nets 11-6 to the under as a double-digit road underdog

The Angle(s):  Trae Young debuted for the Wizards in a 122-112 loss to Utah on Thursday, posting just 12 points and six assists, but he'll boost Washington's offense here against a Pelicans squad allowing 120.2 points per game (27th). That said, the Wizards are giving up 123.0 points per game (29th), and Young is a below average defender ... Even with this hefty total, it still feels too low to pass up.

The Angle(s): With the Oklahoma City Thunder playing on two days rest, I expect them to play with highest intensity possible on defense and the Golden State Warriors are. not surprisingly, not the same threat offensively without injured superstar Steph Curry.

The Angle(s): Eight of the last 10 meetings in this series have stayed under the total and the Brooklyn Nets have struggled to get buckets even more than usual since the All-Star break, while the Miami heat are 9-1 to the under laying double-digits on the season.

The Angle(s): Both the Charlotte Hornets and the Boston Celtics have come out hot from the All-Star break, and it's mostly their play on the defensive end that has me impressed. The Celtics have conceded just 98 and 81 points across their last two games, to Philly and Milwaukee, and the Hornets 93 and 90 points, to Portland and Dallas, across their last two. With both teams locked in defensively, I like the under even at this relatively low number.

The Brooklyn Nets have struggled to get buckets post All-star break with three of four games staying under the total. I don't think the Nets will be able to contribute enough points to push this one over.

The Angle(s): The Boston Celtics just dominated Phoenix 97-81, pushing their season record to 36-21 to the under. They're 8-2 to the under in their last 10 games, and with Jayson Tatum still sidelined, they'll lean hard on their elite defense to hopefully grind out another low-scoring win.

Warriors/Thunder NBA BOOKIE BREAKER

The Angle(s): The injury-hit Golden State Warriors are coming off an impressive 128-117 win over Denver and I think the role players can do enough damage again to keep this game over the total as well. The New Orleans Pelicans are allowing 120.6 points per game (27th), but have managed to win three of their last five with solid offense displays. 

The Bet: OVER (3%). 

Hornets/Bulls BE$T NBA PLAY Of the Day

The Angle(s): The Charlotte Hornets won 112-99 here in Chicago back in early January and the slumping Chicago Bulls have struggled to get buckets through a nine-game skid. The Hornets are 60% to the under on the season and I just don't see the Bulls contributing enough to push this one over the number. The spread is to juicy for my liking, but I'm confident in the over.

Thunder/Raptors NBA BOOKIE BU$TER

The Angle(s): The Toronto Raptors are 60% to the under on the season, and the banged-up Oklahoma City Thunder are the underdog for exactly that reason. Injuries will hurt their scoring more than their defense, given OKC's intense, defense-first mentality.

The Angle(s): Both teams are coming off high-scoring wins but I like the under in this matchup. The San Antonio Spurs are 4-1 to the under in non-conference games coming off an over and the Detroit Pistons 11-7 to the under as favorites in non-conference games.

Nuggets/Warriors NBA BOOKIE BREAKER

The Angle(s): The Denver Nuggets are 36-21 to the over this season and fresh off a 157-103 blowout in Portland; they've hit the over 69% of the time after dropping 130+ points. The Golden State Warriors sit at 32-24 to the over. Steph Curry is sidelined, but we can expect more minutes for Kristaps Porziņģis filling the gap as an interior scoring threat they've lacked for quite some time.

1:10 PM ET: Early Cavs/Thunder MAGIC MIKE MONEYMAKER

The Angle(s): The Oklahoma City Thunder held Brooklyn to 86 points in their last game and their last four games vs. teams from the East have stayed under the total. Even without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, the Thunder have won three of their last four but they've found it difficult to get open shots and instead relied on ther defense. I like the under in this matchup.

The Angle(s): The Charlotte Hornets are 13-5 to the under as home underdogs and both teams are playing on no rest. While the Cavs' over/under record on no rest is unremarkable, note that Charlotte is 9-2 to the under on no rest.

The Angle(s): The Washington Wizards won 112-105 against Indiana Pacers last night, moving the the Pacers to 6-2 to the under as favorites on the season.

The Angle(s): The Detroit Pistons have held the New York Knicks to 90 and 80 points in two wins this calendar year. Both games stayed under the total, and I think this will be another under.

NBA East TOTAL OF THE YEAR: 5% MEGA MAX BET

The Angle(s): The Milwaukee Bucks have scored 105 and 99 points across their last two games and they've been held to under triple-digits in three of their last six games. There's a serious lack of scoring threat without injured superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, but they've managed to stay somewhat competitive with hardnosed defense and have a 21-30 over/under record to go with their 21-30 win/loss record. I think this game will be of the lower-scoring variety.

Bulls/Nets NBA B€$T PLAY of the Day

The Angle: The Brooklyn Nets are coming off a 127-113 win over Washington and have seen each of their last three games fly over the total. The Chicago Bulls have conceded 135, 131, 123 and 136 points through their last four games, and I think both teams will have open lanes to the basket.

Sixers/Suns NBA BOOKIE BLA$TER

The Angle: The Philadelphia 76ers saw a five-game winning streak end with a 119-115 loss to the Lakers on Thursday, despite putting up a solid number. The Phoenix Suns won 130-125 at Portland on Tuesday before going flat in a 101-97 home loss to Golden State two nights later, but they should bounce back offensively here. The Suns previously beat Philly 116-110 on January 20, and this matchup sets up for similar scoring.

The Angle: The Golden State Warriors won 101-97 at Phoenix on Thursday, without Steph Curry, who will miss his third straight game Saturday because of right knee soreness. The Los Angeles Lakers are also dealing with injuries as Luka Doncic (hamstring) will miss this game. There's still a lot of talent on the hardwood, but I think the scoring will take a bigger hit than what's reflected on the total. 

The Bet: UNDER (4%). 

Nuggets/Bulls NBA BOOKIE BOMBER

The Angle: The Denver Nuggets are coming off back-to-back losses despite putting up 121 and 127 points respectively. Nuggets star Nikola Jokic is back from injury putting up impressive stat lines, and I think this contest will be higher scoring than the total suggests. 

The Bet: OVER (3%). 

NBA East TOTAL OF THE MONTH: 5% SUPER MAX

The Angle: Both teams are close to 60% to the under on the season, but I think this number is too low. The Bucks are 7-5 to the over as home underdogs and the Pacers a MASSIVE 1-0 to the over as road favorites. Not big sample sizes on either, but contributing factors and part of a bigger picture.

Hornets/Rockets NBA B€$T PLAY of the Day

The Angle: Both teams have played more unders than over on the season, and with the trade deadline creating uncertainties in the lineups I can easily see both teams struggle with rhythm.

The Angle: The Toronto Raptors are 31-21 to the under on the season, but I think this total looks low considering the Bulls are allowing 120+ per game.

The Angle: The reigning champions Boston Celtics have played lockdown defense all season and I think they can lock down Dallas' young rookie standout Cooper Flagg. Additionally, they're coming off a 107-79 win over Milwaukee and are 7-2 to the under after holding their last opponent to 100 points or fewer.

The Angle: Both teams have had more success with the ball in their hands than stopping their opponents in recent games and although the first meeting of the season landed at 239 points exactly with a closing total of 250, I expect more points this time around.

The Angle: The New York Knicks have played great defense through a six-game winning streak and the Washington Wizards have been offensively challenged all season. I'm not ready to lay the points ont he favorite, but I'm confident it'll be a low-scoring affair.

Pelicans/Hornets NBA BOOKIE BREAKER

The Angle: The Charlotte Hornets are on their hottest streak in a decade, powered not just by sharp shooting but tenacious defense. They've held five of their last eight opponents under 100 points, and with revenge for a 116-112 loss at New Orleans in November, expect the Hornets to lock down defensively here. 

The Bet: UNDER (3%).

The Angle: The Miami Heat won 116-113 in Chicago with a similar total to this just a couple of nights ago. With virtually no adjustment to the total for this game, I like this one to stay under the total as well.

The Angle: The Memphis Grizzlies are 27-19 to the under on the season and while the Minnesota Timberwolves have a fairly even distribution of overs (26) and unders (23) overall, note that they're 20-9 to the under as favorites of five points or more.

The Angle: The Houston Rockets have clamped down defensively lately and, on no rest after a 111-99 loss to the Spurs, won't want to run-and-gun in Atlanta. Already one of the league's slowest teams at 101.4 possessions per game, I expect them to set up a low-tempo grind. This total looks inflated.

Magic/Heat NBA BE$T BET of the Day

The Angle: The slumping Orlando Magic have scored just 109, 97, 105 and 98 points through a four-game slide. The Miami Heat have seen better output, but they've struggled in three losses against the Magic this season and I think this will another close, low-scoring affair.
