01-11-22 | Maple Leafs -117 v. Golden Knights | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 25 m | Show
DMack NHL 3-GAME POWER PACK winner is on the Toronto Maple Leafs VGK has lost three of four on home ics with their lone win coming against a Covid-19 decimated Rangers outfit. Toronto is rolling at 6-2-2 L10 and has the fire power to stay in any game they're in. Toronto is not a good matchup for VGK in that the Leafs are as fast or faster and certainly more skilled with the Knights at less than 100%. Take Toronto. |
01-11-22 | Canucks v. Panthers -210 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 26 m | Show
DMack NHL 3-GAME POWER PACK winner is on the Florida Panthers The Canucks have done a real nice job since firing coach and completely turning over it's front office. Vancouver took full advantage of catching the weakest part of its schedule winning on the road against bottom half Western conference teams and hosting botom end East Coast teams. Florida is 18-3 at home and off huge confidence building road win at Carolina. Lay it. |
01-11-22 | Blackhawks -110 v. Blue Jackets | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 19 m | Show
DMack NHL 3-GAME POWER PACK winner is on the Chicago Blackhawks Columbus got off to fast start but has come back to the pack and is now 3-6-1 L10 and fading. Chicago has struggled all year but goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has found his rhythm and after a horrific start is 9-4-2 in his L15 starts between the pipes. The Jackets don't offer much he can't handle here. |
01-10-22 | Bruins v. Capitals -113 | 7-3 | Loss | -113 | 8 h 20 m | Show
DMACK'S MONDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Washington Capitals This is a matchup between two of the better teams is the East. The Bruins are finding their way after a slow start and are 6-3-1 L10. Their positioning in the standings in somewhat deceiving because they have six games in hand in some instances. The Caps are off a bizarre road trip that saw them lose three of four with a postponement. They were drilled 5-1 in St Louis in their last game but that was only their seventh loss in regulation in 36 games. Washington has a high caliber offense and the Caps only real weakness is between the pipes, especially on special teams, OT, and shootouts. That may very well be addressed at the trade deadline but in this spot, like Washington to get back on track with a convincing win. |
01-08-22 | Panthers v. Hurricanes -135 | 4-3 | Loss | -135 | 18 h 49 m | Show
DMACK's SAT 3-GAME NHL POWER PACK winner is on the Carolina Hurricanes The Canes and Panthers are two of the top three teams in the NHL. Carolina has the best record in the league and has had much the best of the Panthers in Charlotte. Florida, 18-3 at home, 4-5-5 on the road which is just 4-10 the way we keep score. This is a key division matchup that goes to the 24-7-1 Hurricanes that are in first in the metro with three to four games in hand at the minimum. Carolina gets the win. |
01-07-22 | Capitals v. Blues -105 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 11 h 18 m | Show
DMACK'S FRIDAY NIGHT ICE PICK winner is on the St Louis Blues The Beast from the East meets the Best from the West type of matchup here with very little separation between the two. The Caps are 10-3-3 on the road and the Blues 12-3-2 at home. Both have played 34 games and both high octane offenses have scored 119 goals. In the end, just prefer home ice and Blues goaltending. Blues off a 5-3 road loss road loss at Pitt in last but no shame there was the white hot Pens have won 10 straight. Binnington back in the form he flashed a couple of years ago when St Louis won the Cup. Take the Blues. |
01-06-22 | Predators -127 v. Kings | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 23 h 19 m | Show
DMack's NHL Power Pack winner is on the Nashville Predators The Preds are in a good place right now at 8-1-1 and handled Vegas in Sin City with little effort just 48 hours ago. This is just Nashville's second game in eight days which makes me think they'll be even better here. Nothing wrong with the Kings but LA has little fire power and the Preds are top three NHL in defense and goaltending combined and three Pred goals might just be insurmountable. Nashville 3-1. |
01-06-22 | Blue Jackets v. Devils -130 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 20 h 41 m | Show
DMack's NHL Power Pack winner is on the NJ Devils The Jackets have given up 18 goals in three games off the break and are off B2B 7-2 and 7-4 coolers to Carolina and Tampa Bay in last two. The Devils are 3-1 out of the break and saw three game win streak snapped in most recent at Boston .... definitely no shame there. New Jersey should be rock solid against a Columbus team that is just 5-10 on enemy ice and might find goals tough to come by here. Take New Jersey. |
01-05-22 | Blues v. Penguins -135 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 19 h 59 m | Show
DMACK'S BLUES/PENS TNT WATCH AND WIN winner is on the Pittsburgh Penguins Great TV matchup between red-hot teams. The Blues are 7-1-2 L10 while the Pens are 8-1-1 L10. The Blues have been perfect out of the break with wins over Edmonton and at Minnesota but St Louis is just (7-9, 7-6-3) on the road and they face a streaking Penguin team that is health and lit the lamp eight times on this ice just 72 hour ago. More urgency for Pitt here who plays at home and then faces fiv games in eight days on the road including four on the West Coast. With their snipers dialed in, the Penguins get a very confident call here. |
01-04-22 | Sharks v. Red Wings -110 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 15 h 32 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Detroit Red Wings The Sharks have given up a whopping 19 goals in three games since coming back from the break. James Reimer gets the call between the pipes tonight and he was shelled for six first period goals on 17 shots in his lat start before being removed. The Wings are a surprise based on their 11-5-2 home ice record but Motown came out of the break with B2B home losses to Washington and Boston (3-1, 5-1) and were unable to find the back of the net. In the grand scheme of things, this is a huge game for Detroit and as to whether or not they continue their improvement as a young team or will be a fade the rest of the way and they've certainly struggled in all respects outside of Little Caesar's Arena. This is a game the Red Wings have to win, take Detroit. |
01-02-22 | Jets v. Golden Knights -145 | 5-4 | Loss | -145 | 16 h 36 m | Show
DMACK'S SUNDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the Vegas Golden Knights Winnipeg has come back to earth after going on a big run after a tough early start. The Jets are 5-4-1 in their L10 and just 4-5-4 (4-9) on enemy ice this year. The VGK has not enjoyed the same home success that it has in the past but that was because the Knights were a stripped down version of what takes the ice tonight. The knights still have injuries but are possibly the deepest team in the league and that will shine through here. |
01-01-22 | Canucks -110 v. Seattle Kraken | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 20 h 57 m | Show
DMACK'S NEW YEARS DAY ICE PICK winner is on the Vancouver Canucks Vancouver saw it's seven game win streak snapped in last, a 2-1 shoot-out loss at the Kings. No shame there. The team has played great with their new coach and recent front office shakeup. There has been essentially no change in personnel, just a staff that demands accountability and it has worked. Brock Boeser is expected back off the protocol list which will greatly help the offense and the face a Seattle team that has lost four straight (2-5-3, 2-8) that is paying for their horrific draft that saw them bypass talent for money and was unable to fill in the holes with players that could play. Vancouver in near pick 'em. |
12-31-21 | Capitals -144 v. Red Wings | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 22 m | Show
DMACK'S NEW YEARS EVE ICE PICK winner is on the Washington Capitals This is the best matchup off the New Year's Even card. It features a Washington Capital team that is one of the NHL elite and a top road team at 9-3-3 in 15 games this year. The Red Wings are much improved with there good young players and have been terrific at home at 11-3-2. Backing Washington here based on the Caps prolific scoring offense, and offense that has scored 25 more goals than the Red Wings in the same number of games. The Caps have just six losses in regulation and if Washington addresses some defensive and goaltending deficiencies, the Caps will be a leading player to win the Stanley Cup. |
12-30-21 | Flames -140 v. Seattle Kraken | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 18 h 27 m | Show
DMACK'S THURSDAY NIGHT ICE PICK winner is on the Calgary Flames Seattle has lost three straight including a 3-2 OT loss to Philadelphia last night. Back-to-back out of the gate in the fist two days off an extended break can't be easy. This is Calgary's first game since Dec 11th. They had lost four straight before the break but one must remember that this was one of the hardest hit Covid-team's in Professional sports with as many as 30 players and staff were in the league protocol as recently as last week. Calgary if fortunate enough to have a great coach and some pretty good players. The Flames are 11-4-2 on the road and in a nice spot to take to shake the ring rust off against the struggling Krack. Calgary 5-3. |
12-29-21 | Canucks v. Ducks +100 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 17 m | Show
DMACK'S WEDS NHL ICE PICK BAILOUT winner is on the Anaheim Ducks The season pause couldn't have come at a worse time for the Canucks who has won six straight after a coaching and front office shake up. The Canucks have several players in the protocol whose availability will not be known till close to game time. Anaheim has been a surprise and has been rock solid all year but especially at home where the Ducks are 10-4-3 and were 6-1-3 at the stoppage. Key here is Anaheim's superior goaltending and timely scoring which will get the Duck's through here. |
12-28-21 | Golden Knights -148 v. Kings | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 36 h 16 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESS WELCOME BACK ICE PICK winner is on the VGK Las Vegas has clawed its way into first place in the Pacific Division despite playing 20 of their 32 games missing close to 40% of the salary cap out with injuries. VGK is obviously well coached and scary good and scary deep. They'll be ready to go here against the Kings, a division rival they've handled with ease in their first four years of existence. VGK ..... bank it. |
12-21-21 | Lightning v. Golden Knights -122 | 4-3 | Loss | -122 | 12 h 24 m | Show
DMACK'S TAMPA BAY/VGK TUESDAY NIGHT ICE PICK wiiner is on the VGK Two of the better teams in the NHL square off in what could be the final night of hockey for the next few days. Both teams have struggled through early injuries and bot have started to roll of late. The Bolts have won two straight and are 7-2-1 L10. Vegas has won five straight and comes off a 4-0 NY/NJ East Coast road trip, and 8-2 L10. Vegas is getting contributions up and down the lineup in any given nights. Tampa Bay may have already checked out somewhat here in Sin City with the Christmas break coming up. Both teams relatively Covid free and with all thing equal, VGK will be tough to handle at home if Lehner is dialed in. |
12-19-21 | Golden Knights -135 v. Islanders | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 49 m | Show
DMAC'S SUN NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Vegas Golden Knights VGK went through their adversity early on with injuries and played a month of the season without 40% of their salary cap players. Getting healthier by the day, the Knights have won four straight including the first three games of this early four-game East Coast swing that includes wins at Boston and the Rangers. The Islander season has been cursed from the start, playing their first 13 games on the road while waiting for their new crib to be completed. The Islanders don't score much an might be well served to take a look at their kids and try next year. VGK wins. |
12-17-21 | Capitals -105 v. Jets | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 19 h 59 m | Show
DMACK'S FRIDAY NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Washington Caps Both teams will be somewhat short-handed here with a couple of key Caps just about ready to come off Covid protocol. The Jets took a huge hit in losing scorer and captain Blake Wheeler for at least 2-3 weeks. The Jets have lost three of four including their last two to Vancouver and Buffalo. The Caps have only lost five games of 29 in regulation and a couple of early goals will make them tough to beat. |
12-16-21 | Flyers -135 v. Canadiens | 2-3 | Loss | -135 | 10 h 25 m | Show
DMACK'S THURSDAY NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Philadelphia Flyers It's going to be a long long year for Les Habitants who are currently 6-21-3, 4-10-1 at home, 2-10-2 on the road, and 1-8-1 in L10 overall. There is no relief in site and you can expect the team to blow things up top to bottom over the summer. Philadelphia has won three straight after losing 10 straight and making some minor changes. Where Montreal is buried in it's current spot, the Flyers have underachieved the first third of the season and may have turned the corner. They have the roster! |
12-14-21 | Blues v. Stars -155 | 4-1 | Loss | -155 | 10 h 41 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the Dallas Stars The Blue will be in the mix to win the West but they'll have to learn to win on enemy ice where they are sub .500 at 5-5-3. Tonight, they face the Stars who are the epitome of home road dichotomy ... 9-2-1 at home and 4-8-1 on the road. The Stars are off an 0-3 West Coast swing at VGK, Kings, and Sharks and will be desperate to get back on track with a win here. This is a home and home and St Louis is another very tough venue which will heighten the urgency for the Stars. |
12-12-21 | Predators v. Rangers -142 | 1-0 | Loss | -142 | 13 h 54 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the NY Rangers Both teams are rolling at the moment, Nashville is working off four straight wins and the Rangers have been doing it everyday and everyway all year long. The Broadway Blues have been a work in progress for so long and now they have the pieces and a crafty demanding coach with Gerard Gallant. While this is a run for the Preds, the 18-5-3 (8-2-1 at MSG) Rangers have arrived and have to be mentioned in the same conversation with Tampa Bay, Florida, and Carolina amonth the elite in the East and in the NHL. Rangers win. |
12-11-21 | Wild -145 v. Kings | 1-2 | Loss | -145 | 21 h 48 m | Show
DMACK'S SATURDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK is on the Minnesota Wild The Kings got off to a good start but have come back to the pack the last 30 days (3-5-2 L10) and that even off an inexplicable 4-0 whitewash of Calgary. Plain and simple, the Kings are sub .500 on home ice and face a killer here. Minnesota is 19-6-1 overall, 9-4-1 on the road, 8-1-1 L10 and have won eight straight. Minnesota won the only meeting between the two back on October 16th, the second game of the season, 3-2. Two months later, the same teams are heading in opposite directions with Minnesota on the up escalator. Call this 4-2 Minnesota. |
12-10-21 | Predators -120 v. Devils | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 16 h 15 m | Show
DMACK'S FRIDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Nashville Predators Not the greatest of spots for the Preds who are playing on the back end of a back-to-back and also third in four nights but ..... recent excellent form and bus trip travel (Islanders to Devils) should negate any of that in a game they would like have with the white hot Rangers on deck. The Devils snapped a four-game losing streak last night with a 3-0 win over the free-falling Flyers but the key here is that New Jersey just doesn't score (11 goals, L5 games, 4 in 8-4 loss to Jets), and they face better scoring and goaltending here in the Preds. Probably a 3-2, 4-2, 3-1 type of game but as we all know .... it looks like 7-2 when you take it to the cashier. |
12-09-21 | Wild -139 v. Sharks | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 17 h 54 m | Show
DMACK'S THURSDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK is on the Minnesota Wild The Sharks in our mind have been getting some fortunate results of late but don't figure to maintain their success on the power play or goals allowed. Tonight, they face a Minnesota Wild (18-6-1) team that is solid top-to-bottom and rocks the second best goal differential in the West and fourth overall in the league. The Wild are third in scoring, 8-4-1 on the road, and 8-1-1 L10. Minnesota has won seven straight by a 29-11 with wins over Tampa Bay, Toronto, and Edmonton. Minnesota rolls on here. |
12-08-21 | Stars v. Golden Knights -135 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 22 h 12 m | Show
DMACK'S WEDNESDAY NHL ICE PICK is on the Las Vegas Golden Knights The Golden Knights are slowly but surely getting healthy after playing more than a month with 38% of their salary cap on the injured list. VGK has weathered the storm for the most part going 14-10 at a couple of games shy of the one-third mark of the season. Dallas is a heady 9-1 L10 but that's after a long home stand, the Stars are just 4-5-1 on the road. Dallas is an excellent defensive team with very good goaltending that makes up for their lack of offense. A couple of early goals and Lehner holding the fort should translate to a VGK win. |
12-07-21 | Ducks -125 v. Sabres | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 19 h 25 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESDAY NIGHT NHL ICE PICK is on the Anaheim Ducks Gonna follow the same winning formula that we've used the last few days playing a small road favorite against a mightily struggling homie. The Ducks have surprised to this point and sit in third in the Pacific Division. Primarily, they've been great on home ice and have gotten excellent goaltending but they've also played .500 on the road which is exactly what you need to do to make the playoffs. Buffalo is fading fast and has lost four straight. The Sabres play hard to their credit but are overwhelmed by superior talent on most nights much like they'll be here. Take Anaheim. |
12-06-21 | Avalanche -150 v. Flyers | 7-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Colorado Avalanche The Flyers are are is complete freefall at 2-7-1 in L10 and losers of six straight. They were just smoked by a short-handed Tampa Bay team 7-1 on their home ice and tonight they face a Colorado Avalanche team that is just starting to hit it's stride (7-2-1 L10) after a slow start after a heavy turnover in the off season. Colorado has struggled at best on the road but has shown signs and gets thrown a softball here which could be a big confidence builder moving forward. |
12-05-21 | Lightning -135 v. Flyers | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 14 h 18 m | Show
DMACK'S SUNDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING The Lightning are playing great despite some minor health issues. The Bolts are 7-2-1 L10 and 6-2-2 on the road this year after playing a heavily front loaded home schedule. The Flyers are in crash and burn mode after seven straight losses and falling like a stone after a fast start. The depth of the Lightning and their current excellent form make this an easy and confident call. |
12-04-21 | Penguins -135 v. Canucks | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 11 m | Show
DMACK'S SATURDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Pittsburgh Penguins Vancouver is in complete freefall and at this point might very well be one of the worst team outside of Arizona in the Western Conference. There numbers and points confirm it. The Canucks are 3-6-1 on home ice as they catch up from an early front loaded road schedule and 3-7 in their L10 overall. The Penguins have done much better than tread water as they wait to get healthy. The Pens have actually played better on the road and have a tailor made opponent here that doesn't play much defense. This line is more than fair and we'll be riding Pittsburgh today. |
12-03-21 | Oilers -125 v. Seattle Kraken | 3-4 | Loss | -125 | 13 h 48 m | Show
DMACK'S FRIDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Edmonton Oilers The line made us do a double take as the Kraken are just 4-5-1 in their L10 and have given up more goals than anyone in the Western Conference other than the Arizona Coyotes. Went through Edmonton pages with a fine tooth comb and other than a nic to Duncan Keith, the Oilers will be at close to 100%. The teams have met once, back on November 1st and Edmonton won 5-2 in a routine home ice affair. The Oilers are 7-4 on enemy ice this year, 7-3 L10 and the offense hasn't missed a beat. Look for the transmission of the Oiler offense, McDavid and Draisaitl to both have big games here in another routine Edmonton win. |
12-02-21 | Flames -145 v. Kings | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 24 m | Show
DMACK'S THURSDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Calgary Flames The Kings got off to a fast start but have carried it as far as they could have finally hit the wall. They've alreay dropped to sixth place in a Pacific Division that is wide open and rip to be taken. The Flames are making up for a brutal 2020-21 and have Darryl Sutter cracking the whip start to finish. The Flames are doing their best work on enemy ice at 9-2-2, had three days off, and really have no excuses here against a team that is really struggling to score. Lay it with the Flames. |
12-01-21 | Seattle Kraken v. Red Wings +101 | 3-4 | Win | 101 | 11 h 30 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the Detroit Red Wings Both teams are on something of a form spree with the Kraken having won four of five including the last two on the road. The Wings have won three straight but more importantly for us, Detroit is 7-2-2 at home and have proven super tough, even against "elite" teams. Both teams are hungry developing works in progress but the wrong team is favored here and we'll take the Wings act close to pick'em. Games like these demonstrate the value of having several outs. Shop around. |
11-30-21 | Ducks +115 v. Kings | 5-4 | Win | 115 | 13 h 28 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the Anaheim Ducks The Ducks have lost four of five but have just faced a gauntlet of killers that included Carolina, Toronto, at Colorado, and at Nashville. Their one "break" was Ottawa and they won 4-0. Tonight they get the Kings who don't score and get outstanding goaltending. In the end, the Lings are just a 50-50 proposition on home ice and the Ducks are the better team, a young team that fares better against it's own kind. Take Anaheim. |
11-26-21 | Canucks v. Blue Jackets -138 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 25 m | Show |
DMACK'S NHL GAME OF THE MONTH is on the Columbus Blue Jackets The Vancouver Canucks are watching their season circle the drain. They're 3-6-1 on the road and 2-7-1 in their L10. They one point ahead of the last place expansion Kraken in a weak Pacific Division and Seattle has a game in hand. The Jackets are one of the surprise teams in the NHL and will only get better. Two years ago they blew it all up and have drafted very well and made some excellent free agent pick ups to hold it together. They're 7-3 on home ice and they have two excellent young goaltenders that keep them in games every night. Tons better team on home ice, a great line that should be at least 30-40 cents higher, and better goaltending. This one checks all the boxes and is our NHL Game of the Month. |
11-24-21 | Maple Leafs -155 v. Kings | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 20 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Toronto Maple Leafs These are two teams headed in opposite directions. The Leafs are 8-2 in their L10 and the offense has returned from MIA since Auston Mathews returned to the lineup which will be much needed here against the excellent King's goaltending. Los Angeles got off to a fast start but has come back to the field and have lost four straight scoring just seven goals. Toronto has been playing good defense itself allowing just three goals over their last three games. Take Toronto. |
11-22-21 | Hurricanes -148 v. Sharks | 1-2 | Loss | -148 | 21 h 2 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Carolina Hurricanes San Jose was a surprise to start the season but have come back to the pack and have lost four of five including a DMack winning 4-0 whitewash from the Washington Caps on Saturday. Carolina is the best team in hockey at 14-2 with both losses coming to the second best team in the East Florida Panthers. The Canes are young, talented, and deep and with anything close to their normal effort .... get the money here. |
11-20-21 | Capitals -120 v. Sharks | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 12 h 9 m | Show
DMack Sat 3-Game NHL Power Pack winner is on the Washington Caps The Sharks are one of the early surprises in the league but may have hit the wall after a fast start. San Jose is .500 but headed down with a bullet. Washington is playing great and would have the lead in the race for the President's Trophy if not for five OT/SO losses. The Caps have only two regulation losses and are missing several key cogs in the offense which hasn't missed a beat. Caps improve 5-1-2 road slate with a win here. |
11-20-21 | Blues +102 v. Stars | 1-4 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 31 m | Show
DMack Sat 3-Game NHL Power Pack winner is on the St Louis Blues Dallas is not much but have managed to hover around .500 despite an anemic offense and below average defense. The Stars are 3-5-2 in their L10 and it doesn't figure to improve here. The Blues have cooled of some but they've played a heavy road schedule of late and still rock a +12 goal differential and will have have the better goaltending tonight. Blues win. |
11-20-21 | Predators -127 v. Canadiens | 3-6 | Loss | -127 | 9 h 42 m | Show
DMack Sat 3-Game NHL Power Pack winner is on the Nashville Predators The Preds have recovered from a slow start to go 7-2-1 in their L10 and have been doing their best work on the road. Montreal has never recovered from its slow start and watches its season circle the drain before they've even played 20 games. Habs -29 goal differential is glaring and with the Preds getting excellent play between the pipes, it won't take Nashville much to get it done here. |
11-18-21 | Blue Jackets -150 v. Coyotes | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 18 h 6 m | Show
DMACK'S THURS NHL PLY OF THE DAY is on the Columbus Blue Jackets The Coyotes are 2-13-1 and have scored just 26 goals. True, the Desert Dogs have played a road heavy schedule in the first half but any home ice advantage is negligible if any the team is a lame duck as they play their final season in that venue. Columbus has been a surprise to this point with a good young roster of players they've accumulated after blowing things up a couple of years ago. The Jackets also have the better goaltending and with a couple of scores, they'll be tough to beat here. |
11-17-21 | Blackhawks v. Seattle Kraken -135 | 4-2 | Loss | -135 | 21 h 46 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY of the Day is on the Seattle Kraken The Blackhawks have won three straight but at the end of the day, Chicago is 0-5-1 on the road and face a Kraken outfit that has been ok (3-4) at home. Seattle is no VGK but will figure out their road problems later in the year. Seattle can score had should do some business against the worst defensive team in the league. Kraken cherish every Year I win against an in turmoil Blackhawk outfit. Kraken 4-3. |

11-16-21 | Hurricanes -119 v. Golden Knights | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 20 h 4 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Carolina Hurricanes The Golden Knights are 8-2 L10 despite missing almost 35% of their 81 million dollar salary cap to injuries. Mark Stone is back at about 70% but this team is primarily 50% the AHL Henderson Silver Knights and that won't cut it here against the best team in hockey. The Canes bounced back from home loss to the Flyers with a solid win over St Louis and have had plenty of time to prepare for game two of this six game Pacific Division West Coast swing. Carolina gets to Lehner early and often to win this comfortably. |
11-14-21 | Oilers -105 v. Blues | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 16 h 40 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Edmonton Oilers We played against the Blues las night in their loss to Carolina and will come right back with a fade of St Louis as they are in a worse spot here. It's the Blues third game in four nights with travel last night to face the best team in the West in Edmonton. The Oilers play their sixth straight road game where they are 3-2 with all wins against the better teams and losses against teams they really should have beat. Despite road odyssey, Oilers the fresher team of the two and with snipers like McDavid and Draisatl, Edmonton gets a solid call here. |
11-13-21 | Canucks v. Golden Knights -135 | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 11 h 28 m | Show
DMACK'S SAT 3-GAME NHL POWER PACK winner is on the Vegas Golden Knights VGK is 7-6 but the amazing thing is that they are missing better than 40% of their salary cap to injuries. Lehner has been keeping them in games with excellent play between the pipes and their "next man up" are all contributing night in and Knight out. VGK 5-2. |
11-13-21 | Blues v. Hurricanes -133 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 55 m | Show
DMACK'S SAT 3-GAME NHL POWER PACK winner is on the Carolina Hurricanes One the Best in the West versus one of the Beasts in the East. Like the Canes here who are tough to beat at home and seem to really play up to better competition. No complaints with the Blues but they've also done their best work on home ice and would appear to be up against it in a very tough venue in Charlotte. Carolina 4-2. |
11-13-21 | Canadiens v. Red Wings -113 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show
DMACK'S SAT 3-GAME NHL POWER PACK winner is on the Detroit Red Wings The Canadiens were very fortunate in last falling behind two goals to the Calgary Flames before clawing back to score four unanswered. That said, the Habs are still 4-10 and face a Wing team on the improve. Detroit 4-2-2 on home ice and getting things done some young, feisty, and talented kids. The first part of improving is winning the games you are supposed to win. This is one of those games and thinking that the Wings are on their way back to respectability. |
11-12-21 | Flyers v. Hurricanes -167 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -167 | 18 h 51 m | Show |
DMACK FRIDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Carolina Hurricanes The Canes came up one game short of the NHL record for most wins to start a season when they were given a reality check by the Florida Panthers but the Cans bounced right back with a hard fought 2-1 OT win at Tampa Bay to right the ships. The are home here facing a decent Flyer team but a Philly team that struggles on enemy ice. The Flyers have alternated losses and wins the last five game and two of the three road loss were shut outs which won't work against a team that has only allowed 21 goals in 11 games as it is. Lay it with Carolina. |
11-11-21 | Flames -125 v. Canadiens | 2-4 | Loss | -125 | 31 h 49 m | Show
DMack's NHL Game of the Week is on the Calgary Flames After a brief run off a terrible start, the Canadiens (3-10-1) have lost three straight and have scored just 28 goals, third lowest behind just the Islanders and Arizona. Things don't figure to get much better against a Calgary Flames that is 5-1 on the road and 7-1-2 in L10. The Flames are off a 4-1 home ice no show against the Sharks so Darryl Sutter will be axious to get things back on track and they have the perfect spot here. |
11-09-21 | Kings +130 v. Canadiens | 3-2 | Win | 130 | 7 h 33 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESDAY NHL DOG BITE winner is on the LA Kings Montreal is 3-10 with a -19 goal differential and after a brief run, has lost two straight. The only light at the end of the Hab tunnel is a train and today's express is the Los Angeles Kings who have won five straight. Granted, the majority have been on home ice but the Kings have been getting good play between the pipes and very timely scoring. These are two teams on the opposite side of the escalator and the Kings are headed up. |
11-08-21 | Panthers -119 v. Rangers | 3-4 | Loss | -119 | 9 h 32 m | Show
DMACK'S MONDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Florida Panthers The Rangers return home after a four game in six nights West Coast swing that started with a win over the Kraken and then three straight losses. Now they fly home West to East to face the 10-0-1 Florida Panthers with their 46 goals, +22 differential, and fresh off handing Carolina it's first loss of the year. Just not a good spot for the homestanding Rangers and there won't be many times this year you can get the Panthers at 20 cents. |
11-07-21 | Blues -163 v. Ducks | 1-4 | Loss | -163 | 20 h 48 m | Show
DMACK'S SUNDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the St Louis Blues The 7-1-1 Blues have not been beaten in regulation on the road this year and have some pretty good wins at tough venues. The Kings have really played well after a horrific year last year. That said, this is a very young team with a couple of savvy vets and will be up against it here against the swarming opportunistic Blues. St Louis is getting razor sharp work between the pipes and have allowed the third lowest goals against in the league. St Louis is as good a -160 favorite as you'll find. |
11-06-21 | Rangers v. Flames -135 | 0-6 | Win | 100 | 19 h 37 m | Show
DMACK'S SAT NHL 3-GAME POWER PACK WINNER is on the Calgary Flames The Rangers are on a roadie from hell and lost last night after blowing a two-goal lead in the final five minutes at Edmonton. The Flames are 1-0-3 at home with the key being OT or shootout losses. Calgary is +12 on the year in goal differential and the Flames have more than enough fire power to beat an extended Ranger team here. |
11-06-21 | Golden Knights -102 v. Canadiens | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 16 h 50 m | Show
DMACK'S SAT NHL 3-GAME POWER PACK WINNER is on the Vegas Golden Knights The Golden Knights are ravaged by injuries but have managed to play .500 with 50% of their AHL roster. How bad are the VGK injuries. How about 35 million of their 81 million dollar cap is on the shelf. The 3-9 Canadiens are in an out, out at the moment and face the team they eliminated in the NHL playoff semis from last year. VGK has the edge with Lehner and and some clutch scoring should get it done. |
11-06-21 | Red Wings v. Sabres -101 | 4-3 | Loss | -101 | 16 h 40 m | Show
DMACK'S SAT NHL 3-GAME POWER PACK WINNER is on the Buffalo Sabres The Sabres are 5-4-1 after losing three straight to Pacific division opponents. Buffalo returns home where they've been rock solid and facing a Red Wing outfit that's lost four straight, the last three on the road. Buffalo is 4-1 at home with a lone loss to Boston and should enjoy home ice and a drop in class. Buffalo is the winner. |
11-05-21 | Blackhawks v. Jets -165 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 18 h 5 m | Show
DMACK's FRIDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Winnipeg Jets The Jets have gone 5-1 since getting the bulk of their team back from injuries and suspensions carried over from last year's playoffs. The Jets are versatile and willing to do it any way you want to do it. They've won their last three games by one goal and the loss was 2-1 in OT in San Jose. Chicago has been struggling on and off the ice. The Had their hearts ripped out again two nights ago when they blew a 3-1 third period lead to Carolina and lost 4-3. Now they travel to a very tough venue against a hot team. Winnipeg. |
11-04-21 | Blues -123 v. Sharks | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 30 m | Show
DMACK'S THURS NHL PLAY OF THE DAY WINNER is on the St Louis Blues The Blues are off to a 6-1-1 start and are yet to start scoring. St Louis has een playing terrific defense and Jordan Binnington has found his form of four years ago when the Blues won the Cup. San Jose has been a huge overachiever but there are several of the Sharks top players reportedly on the move so not sure if their solid play can or will continue. The price is definitely right. |
11-03-21 | Hurricanes -150 v. Blackhawks | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
DMACK'S WEDS NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the Carolina Hurricane The Canes are a perfect 8-0 to start the year scoring 33 goals while allowing just 12. They were flat as a pancake in their last home 2-1 win over the Coyotes and should appreciate change of scenery vs. a team that allows almost five goals a game. Looking at a big effort here as the Canes put on a shooting gallery against whoever it is to be unlucky enough to be between the pipes tonight. |
11-02-21 | Rangers -130 v. Canucks | 2-3 | Loss | -130 | 11 h 32 m | Show
DMACK'S TUESDAY NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the NY Rangers The Rangers have been money since getting rocked in their opener. More importantly for us, they are 5-1 on enemy ice and figure to have some success against Vancouver and their lax defensive set. The Broadway Blues are excellent backcheckers and have been getting excellent play between the pipes. We have the Rangers winning this 4-2. |
10-30-21 | Oilers -140 v. Canucks | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 19 h 45 m | Show
DMACK'S SATURDAY NHL ICE PICK winner is on the Edmonton Oilers The Oilers saw their five-game win streak to start the season snapped in last, to Philly on home ice. They've had three days to marinate and should be ready to take it out on the Canucks who are nothing special. The Olier dynamic duo of McDavid and Draisaitl is off to fast start with 7G,8A and 4G,8A respectively. Edmonton has done it's best work on the road for years so no qualms here. |
10-28-21 | Bruins v. Hurricanes -125 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 46 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner in the Carolina Hurricanes Not the best of spots for Boston who were iced at now 7-0 Florida last night and then travel to face 5-0 Carolina here. The Bruins are good but not real deep and these tough B2Bs with travel, although short, can't be easy. The Canes have outscored their opponents 22-8 and should be chomping at the bit here after not playing since Monday. This is an Atlantic Division matchup between two of the top three teams and the Canes are well aware that a win in October is just as important as a win in April. Carolina 4-2. |
10-27-21 | Bruins v. Panthers -122 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 50 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the Florida Panthers Without question the best game of the night in the NHL as the 3-1 Bruins visit the 6-0 Panthers. Small number gives pause that something might not meet the eye but one of the two Bruins road games was a 6-3 loss at Philly which raises red flag here against a Panther offensive juggernaut averaging almost 5 goals a game themselves. Solid goaltending also give Florida edge in this matchup. Great game featuring what could be a Final Four preview in the East. Take Florida. |
10-26-21 | Sharks +120 v. Predators | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 49 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the San Jose Sharks Talent was never a problem for the Sharks who have struggled with poor goaltending and a lack of attention to special teams. San Jose has started the year with a new sense of purpose and a pulse between the pipes that has kept them in games early on. The Preds are a .500 bunch at best and in the end ... the Sahrks will find a way to get this done. San Jose 5-3. |
10-25-21 | Flames v. Rangers -130 | 5-1 | Loss | -130 | 8 h 25 m | Show
DMACK's NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the NY Rangers This is a battle of two teams that have found themselves after slow starts. The Calgary Flames started 0-2-1 before going on the road and shutting out the Red Wings and beating the Washington Caps in OT. The Rangers were thumped 5-1 by Washington in their opener but have gone 4-0-1 since. Very similar teams stylistically but like the Broadway Blues by virtue of their superior goaltending, opportunistic scoring, and home ice. The price is very fair. |
10-24-21 | Islanders +120 v. Golden Knights | 2-0 | Win | 120 | 15 h 60 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the NY Islanders The Islanders are on a 13-game road odyssey to start the season as they wait for crews to finish up their brand new billion dollar crib. NY is 2-2-1 but that's somewhat deceptive as they opened at Florida and Carolina, arguably the best two teams in the East. VGK has had some brutal luck with injuries but that happens, it was only a matter of time for Sin City who has been heathy for pretty much it's first four years of existence. If we are calling it like it is, Vegas is pretty much a middle of the road AHL team the way it is currently comprised with its Henderson Silver Knights stop-gap emergency fill ins. Robin Lehner hasn't dome them any favors between the pipes either. Islanders here. |
10-23-21 | Canucks v. Seattle Kraken -123 | 4-2 | Loss | -123 | 21 h 5 m | Show
DMack NHL Power Pack winner in the Seattle Kraken The schedule makers didn't do either team any favorites to start the year, the Kracken played their first five goals on the road, the Canucks play their sixth straight road game tonight. The Kracken have shown they can play and tonight play their first home game in franchise history. Seattle beat Vancouver in their first ever game in the preseason on this ice a couple of weeks ago so both teams know what to expect. Seattle has been starved for a team for so long and just think that the fans and home ice somehow get them home. |
10-23-21 | Red Wings +142 v. Canadiens | 1-6 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 11 m | Show
DMack NHL Power Pack winner in the Detroit Red Wings The Canadiens are on a horrific start at 0-5 with a 4/19 goal differential. It doesn't matter who you play when you average less than a goal a game and the one thing this young Wings team does is score. Other than a 7-6 shootout with Tampa Bay, Detroit has done some good things on defense and the young goaltending has held up. Can't see Montreal a favorite vs. ANYONE in their current form and the Wings are not just a doormat at this point. |
10-23-21 | Avalanche v. Lightning -104 | 4-3 | Loss | -104 | 18 h 9 m | Show
DMack NHL Power Pack winner in the Tampa Bay Lightning Colorado is off to a 1-3 start and the Avs just might be feeling the sting of not having an elite class goaltender with the departure of Philip Grubauer. The Lightning are 2-2 losing both home games to killers in not the best of spots so fully expect the Bolts to respond here.against a team that has lost three straight and allowing better than four goals a game. |
10-22-21 | Oilers +125 v. Golden Knights | Top | 5-3 | Win | 125 | 20 h 55 m | Show |
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY (6-1, 29-12 Runs) Two Pacific Division team headed in very different directions. VGK has so many injuries, you'l basically be seeing the Henderson Silver Knights plus a couple of the original Golden Misfits. Edmonton is a destroyer! 4-0 with a 19-10 goal differential. McDavid, Draisaitl, and Nugent-Hopkins are all looking at multi-point games and there is little Vegas can do about it. Absolutely floored when I saw this opening line. Wouldn't be shocked to see the Oilers favored at game time. Why wouldn't they be. |
10-21-21 | Hurricanes -115 v. Canadiens | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 45 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Carolina Hurricanes Things are not good in Montreal. The Habs are missing several key pieces and the are not getting production from anyone. Four games (0-4, 3/15) in and the brass is already talking house cleaning and reportedly the locker room is no good. Carolina has only played two games (2-0, 9/5) and fresh as a daisy. The Canes have a much better roster and with multiple scoring options that will pepper the Canadiens net. Small price, nice price. |
10-20-21 | Blues +116 v. Golden Knights | 3-1 | Win | 116 | 24 h 22 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY winner is on the St Louis Blues Last year the Blues struggled with injuries all year and were basically toothless when they were swept in the playoffs. St Louis is healthy now and loaded for bear and ready to lay it on a team they don't particularly like. VGK has had a rash of early injuries including both their leading scorers, Mark Stone and Max Pacioretty. The Fortress will be under siege all night and the Knights don't have stonewall Marc-Andre Fleury to turn everything back. Wrong favorite here, St. Louis smokes the VGK! |
10-19-21 | Jets v. Wild -140 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 16 h 9 m | Show
DMack NHL 3-Game Power Pack winner is on the Minnesota Wild The Wild are 2-0 and playing like they are on a mission. They're getting just enough offense to take advantage of a stifling defense. The Jets started the season short-handed and get some people back here including Mark Scheifele who returns from his playoff roughing suspension. This has been one of the toughest venues to win at for years (ask VGK) and this year will no different. Minnesota 4-1. |
10-19-21 | Blue Jackets +102 v. Red Wings | 1-4 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 40 m | Show
DMack NHL 3-Game Power Pack winner is on the Columbus Blue Jackets The Jackets must have done quite well for themselves after going all in 2019 and then selling off the team in 2020. Young hungry people with talent top to bottom and the goaltending has held up well in two games (10-3 Jackets agg). The first two Red Wing games produced 17 goals but while they'll give up there usual share here, they'll face more resistance on the offensive end. Columbus 5-3. |
10-19-21 | Sharks +136 v. Canadiens | 5-0 | Win | 136 | 15 h 17 m | Show
DMACK'S NHL PLAY OF THE DAY is on the San Jose Sharks The new look Sharks won the only game they've played and were very impressive in the preseason where they played excellent defense and got production from their snipers ..... and they have plenty of talented offensive people. The Canadiens are 0-3 and a bad 0-3 at that with a 3/10 goal differential. The goaltending has been brutal with Cary Price out and the Habs have gotten no production from the people that they paid over the summer. San Jose is a VERY live dog here. |
10-19-21 | Canucks v. Sabres +133 | 2-5 | Win | 133 | 15 h 4 m | Show
DMack NHL 3-Game Power Pack winner is on the Buffalo Sabres Nothing wrong with the 2-0 Sabres who have played very well in two wins getting scoring and excellent defense and goaltending. Buffalo has a bunch of good young kids and hungry vet looking to continue their careers. They're very reminiscent of an expansion team. The Canucks play no defense which will hurt them here and hope every time they take the ice thay can score and win 5-4, 6-5. Not here. Buffalo 5-2. |
10-18-21 | Ducks +166 v. Flames | 3-2 | Win | 166 | 13 h 27 m | Show
DMACK'S 2021 NHL FIRST BLOOD winner is on the Anaheim Ducks It might be a long year for the Calgary Flames who were smoked at Edmonton in its opener. It's a question of a good coach and a not very good roster at the Saddle Dome. Anaheim just might be a surprise in the Pacific. The Ducks have upgraded their talent and had some preseason and early success playing stifling defense and getting good goaltending. First game on enemy ice against a similar type of team will give us a better picture of rolling with Anaheim in the future. |

09-01-20 | Islanders -118 v. Flyers | 3-4 | Loss | -118 | 1 h 58 m | Show
DMack's NHL Bonus Best Bet is on the NY Islanders No Analysis Gents, I apologize for the late post. I've had some medical issues (blood clot in the leg) that have had me out of action the past couple of days. The worst is over and I will notify the office to make sure everything is right. Thank you for your patience. |

03-11-20 | Sharks v. Blackhawks -160 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 8 h 40 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Chicago Blackhawks An already horrific season for the Sharks has gotten even worse as the Tiburones will now have to play the remainder of their home games on the road (Coronavirus restrictions in Santa Clara county) or in San Francisco at the old Cow Palace. Regardless, San Jose is toast in 2019-2020 while Chicago tries to gear up for one more improbable late playoff run. The Hawks are home and will have the best two players on the ice in a very winnable game here. |
03-10-20 | Bruins v. Flyers -102 | 2-0 | Loss | -102 | 7 h 45 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Philadelphia Flyers This could be an Eastern Conference final playoff preview as the Bruins have been the best team in the NHL all year and the Flyers are the best team in the second half and in a dogfight with Washington (down a point with a game in hand) for top spot in the Metro. The Flyers have won 9 straight and do it the old fashion way, splitting on the road and crushing people on home ice. In fact, the Flyers are 25-5-4 at home, get timely scoring an excellent goaltending from Hart and Elliot. Boston is formidable on the road in their own right but not standing in front of the Philly money train here. |
03-08-20 | Avalanche -156 v. Sharks | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Colorado Avalanche Bot teams are off tough losses but that's where any similarities end. The Sharks played last night and were beaten 2-1 in OT by Ottawa so this is a quick turnaround game to be sure. The Avs were spanked at Vancouver but have had an extra day to regroup and face a defensive sieve here which should help jumpstart one of the league's most potent offenses. Get some puckline too. |
03-07-20 | Lightning v. Bruins -130 | 5-3 | Loss | -130 | 10 h 11 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Boston Bruins The Lightning saw their 19-2 run snuffed on the West Coast and will now be without sniper Stamkos until the playoffs, out with a sports hernia. The Bruins have won four straight and 8-2 L10, further solidifying themselves as the frontrunner for the President's trophy. Boston is 22-3 in regulation time on home ice and will be tough to beat here. |
03-06-20 | Avalanche -125 v. Canucks | 3-6 | Loss | -125 | 11 h 28 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Colorado Avalanche Vancouver looked like it might be one of the better stories in hockey, a young upstart team that shared a piece of the division lead just three weeks … but …. the Canucks have lost four straight by a 19-9 aggregate and their early home ice invincibility has crashed with them. The Avs are 7-1-2 in their L10 and are the best in the West in goal differential and rocking a 23-9-2 record on enemy ice. Colorado trails the Blues by two points with a game in hand so the top-seed in the West is still in play. The Avs also lead the league in goals with 226 which makes them a rude guest here. |
03-05-20 | Stars -107 v. Predators | 0-2 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 24 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Dallas Stars Both teams have lost three straight but that's where any similarity ends. The Stars are still 5-2-3 L10 despite current funk and have had a big second half after a slow start. Nashville has effectively played itself out of the playoffs, are a defensive sieve, and the goaltending has been atrocious. Dallas checks the box in most areas and this a great spot to get a big Div/Conf win against a solid but slumping division opponent. |
03-03-20 | Blues -135 v. Rangers | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 23 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the St Louis Blues Both teams are playing well in their L10 games but the Ranger playoff hopes took a major hit over the weekend when the Broadway Blues were swept in HNH by the Philadelphia Flyers. NYR playing with second string goalie at the moment thanks to injury (car accident) to their other hotshot Russian rook and face a Blues team that is just starting to hot back on all cylinders, winning 7 straight and scoring 3+ goals in 6 of those wins. The defending champs get the nod here. |
02-29-20 | Avalanche +125 v. Predators | 3-2 | Win | 125 | 9 h 43 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Colorado Avalanche Both teams are playing great at the moment, Colorado 7-2-1 L10 and winners of 5 straight. The Preds are 6-3-1 L10 and have won 3 straight. In the end, the Avs are 11 points better than the Preds and Colorado has been one of the best road teams in the league at 21-11 where the Preds are just 16-16 at home and at a disadvantage between the pipes and in firepower. 02-27-20 | Capitals -150 v. Jets | 0-3 | Loss | -150 | 8 h 27 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Washington Capitals The Caps have snapped a three-game funk with two straight wins, the win on Tuesday a 4-3 shootout win over these same Winnipeg Jets as this is the back end of a rare interconference home and home. The Jets have lost three straight and have struggled on home ice all year. The Caps have done their best work on enemy ice and at 21-9-1 and figure to get the best of it here against a team they saw less than 48 hours ago. |

02-25-20 | Oilers -144 v. Ducks | 3-4 | Loss | -144 | 11 h 37 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is in the Edmonton Oilers Edmonton trails Vegas by 3 points with two games in hand in the Pacific with more or less 20 games to play. Where VGK went all in at the trade deadline, Edmonton is getting healthy at the right time for a stretch run including the return of Connor McDavid, arguably the best player in the league. McDavid had a goal and two assists in his return after missing six games with a quad injury. Edmonton has been a strong road team and face a reeling Anaheim Duck outfit that has lost four straight and appears to be simply playing out the string. Fourty cents is fair and we'll lay it here with an Edmonton team gearing up for late second half run. |

02-23-20 | Oilers -131 v. Kings | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 39 m | Show
DMack's NHL Play of the Day is on the Edmonton Oilers It looks like a seven-team dogfight for seven spots for the last four spots in the Western Conference playoffs. Edmonton has hung tough without the league's best player Connor McDavid who returns here after missing a couple of weeks from a quad injury. The Kings have been sellers before the trade deadline and appear to have mailed it in and looking to rebuild for next year. Urgency and spark of getting McDavid sees Edmonton through but check status. Regardless, like Edmonton with or without. |

02-22-20 | Bruins -137 v. Canucks | 3-9 | Loss | -137 | 12 h 54 m | Show
DMack's Saturday NHL Power Pack winner is on the Boston Bruins We used the Bruins last night as our Play of the Day winner and after a crazy start that saw Boston down 3-1 after just 194 seconds of play, got the money 4-3 after things settled down. Possible not the best of spots for the Bruins in the second of B2B but ... that is built into the line and Boston will be dealing No.1 goalie Tuuka Rask who will be well-rested to stone wall the homestanding Canucks tonight. |

02-22-20 | Lightning -162 v. Coyotes | 3-7 | Loss | -162 | 10 h 53 m | Show
DMack's Saturday NHL Power Pack winner is on the Tampa Bay Lightning Tampa Bay saw it's 11-game win streak come to an end at white-hot Vegas Thursday night but the Bolts have been quite clearly the best team in the NHL in the second half (23-3-2 L28) and don't figure to skip a beat here against a Coyote outfit that simply cannot put the biscuit in the basket. |

02-22-20 | Jets v. Flyers -150 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 51 m | Show
DMack's Saturday NHL Power Pack winner is on the Philadelphia Flyers The Flyers 20-5-4 home ice record is the second best in the NHL and the Flyers are currently at the top of a seven-team dogfight for four playoffs spots in the very competitive Eastern Conference. Philly is getting healthy at the right time and has won two straight and 7 of 10. Philadelphia figures to be tough the rest of the way and will be a tough out with their solid defense and timely scoring come the playoffs. |
