I think the Rockets will have no trouble running up the score, but I also like Brooklyn to put up its fair share of points against a Houston team that has allowed 120 points or more in six of its past nine games.

The Golden State Warriors are 4-2 to the under on the season while the Cleveland Cavaliers have a 3-3 over/under record. 

The Warriors defeated the Thunder 141-139 Friday night, but note that the under is 2-0 this season when they scored 120+ points in their previous game. 

The Cavs put up 116 points in a loss in Indiana on Friday but they are averaging only 105.7 ppg (26th) for the season. Since the start of last season, the Cavs have a 17-26 over/under record as home favorites.  

The Warriors average only 93.9 possessions per game (21st) and Cleveland 92.9 possessions per game (23rd). I don't see either team pushing the tempo.

We won with the under as a free pick when the Warriors hosted Phoenix in their season opener. In the write-up, I mentioned how I expect the Warriors to play at a slower pace this season with Chris Paul in the team, and that turned out the be the case. 

The Kings opened the season with a 130-114 win at Utah, but I think this will be a much lower-scoring affair. Also, the under is 6-3-1 in the last 10 head-to-head meetings.

I expect a better offensive performance from Miami after putting up only 93 points on 41% shooting in Game 1 of the NBA finals. They had only one day rest following their Game 7 win against Boston, but have now had two days to rest and prepare. Expect fresh legs from both sides, leading to high-tempo basketball and effective offenses.

We cashed the under in Game 5 of the NBA finals, a game the Warriors won 104-94 despite shooting 9-for-40 (22%) from 3-point range and Steph Curry going 0-for-9 from behind the arc. I expect the Warriors to keep bombing away, and more successfully, as they can play without as much pressure as Boston, with a potential Game 7 taking place home at Chase Center. If their shots fall, which I assume they will, the Celtics must score to keep up.

Through the first four games of the NBA finals, we have seen the two teams trade wins and losses and alternate high-scoring with low-scoring affairs. I still expect another low-scoring affair here following a 107-97 Golden State in Boston on Friday. The Celtics are the best defensive team in the NBA, and the Warriors do not get enough credit for their efforts on the defensive end as mostly all we remember are them bombing away from behind the arc. It would take some seriously above average shooting for this to go over, but that'll get less and less likely as the teams get more familiar with each other.
