Bucknell/Colgate 7:30: Bucknell usually manages to show up around tournament time and make noise. Last year, they demolished Colgate in this game but it will be a lot tougher today. Colgate hasn't lost since February 2nd and they got the Bison on their home floor. Nevertheless, I like the senior leadership of G Mackenzie and F Sestina. Bison collectively limits turnovers, rebounds well and hits free throws - key components in March. Bucknell's defense good enough in tight games to get it done.

Nebraska is offensively challenged especially at home where they averaged just 63.6 PPG over their last nine Big 10 games - that's 16.3 PPG less than on the road! Nebraska sports a money burning 1-8 ATS mark against teams above .500 and lost 13 of its last 16 ATS vs the Big 10. Rutgers/Indiana Noon: Both of these teams playing well down the stretch but like the grit of Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights, which have gone 6-0-1 ATS in its last 7, have a tendency to hang around on the road covering 4 straight as a traveler. And they're 10-4 ATS on the road vs a team with a home win % above .600. Coach Pikiell has done a nice job guiding Rutgers to more Big 10 wins this year than the last 2 seasons combined! And Rutgers is in line for a first round bye if they can get by Indiana today. The Scarlet Knights crash the boards - leading the Big 10 in offensive rebounds. Of course, they leave themselves vulnerable for transition points - especially perimeter shots; however, Indiana has not measured up on the perimeter for most of the season shooting just 31.2% (320th nationally). Rutgers on a 2-0 SU run vs Indiana and should deliver again.

Quite an accomplishment considering they've allowed 74.2 PPG for the season. With their newfound commitment to defense, the Blue Jays' Head Coach McDermott should institute a solid game plan on how to stop the two man game of the Friars' G Diallo and C Watson. As a team the Friars shoot just 41.7% from the floor and a poor 30.6% from 3 point land. With Creighton's defense shaping up, hard for Providence to trade buckets with the prolific Creighton offense dropping 79 PPG. K State, most assuredly in NCAA tourney, is looking to win final two conference games to finally win, or have a share of, Big 12 Conference Title. The Wildcats have been winning all season on defensive play - as evidenced by their #4 ranking in the nation in scoring defense at 59.5 PPG. Coach Weber will look to clamp down on the slumping Horned Frogs which over their last 5 games have fallen off about 3.5 PPG in scoring production from their regular season average. Dixon has always preached defensive intensity and currently disgusted by recent defensive play. TCU is clearly on the bubble and desperately needs a win here. Defensive intensity should be ratcheted up against the 321st scoring offense in the nation at 65.9 PPG. TCU is 1-4 O/U following a double-digit loss at home and 3-7 O/U at home vs a team with a winning road record. "Under" the call.

They do, however, have shown consistent resiliency over the last 5 weeks going 4-0 ATS off a SU loss and 5-1 ATS off a 10+ point loss at home. Although Alexander-Walker and Blackshear try to pick up the scoring slack, they lack that ability to manufacturer instant offense when needed. Duke, 6-18-2 O/U in their last 26 games and 1-5-1 O/U in their last 7 road tilts, miss Zion Williamson's 22 PPG. St. Bonaventure/St. Joe's 6:30: Revenge game for St. Joe's after getting ambushed at St. Bonnie's 73-47 January 9th. Bonnie's got out of the gate early 39-12 putting away the Hawks. It should be noted that the Hawks showed some fight in the second half outscoring the Bonnies 35-34; nevertheless, an embarrassment St. Joe's wants to forget. Hawks off a throttling of SLU 91-61 and sport a 13-3 ATS mark after scoring 90+ points under Martelli. Meanwhile, Bonnies got stomped 85-55 at home vs VCU. Home teams seeking same season revenge from road team off a loss of 20+ have a successful 14-5 ATS mark over the last few decades. Bonnies are offensively challenged on the road (61 ppg) and we'll look for the Hawks to flap their wings successfully tonight.

Virginia/North Carolina 7:00: Duke shot the lights out early from the perimeter and was able to sustain the solid shooting through the second half. I don't believe the Tar Heels can do the same. Tar Heels have been hot from the perimeter but should cool off tonight. Virginia won't change their established picket fence in the paint defense to stretch out to the perimeter; after all, they're #2 in the nation defending the perimeter at 26.5%! The Cavaliers are actually a better 3 pt shooting team and should light up the weak Tar Heel defense. Cavaliers are 14-5 ATS in this series, strong off SU losses and play well on Mondays. Cavaliers the call.

Cincinnati/Houston 4:00: I've had success betting on both of these teams this season and would lean on the Bearcats getting points in a projected defensive battle. Cincinnati highly dependent on big time guard Jarron Cumberland (23 ppg last 7). Other than him, Bearcats struggle to manufacturer points, especially from the perimeter. And Houston's defense (ranked 7th in the nation) is 3rd in the nation defending the perimeter. I do like the fact that Cincinnati is in good hands when Justin Jenifer controls the ball. He sports a 73/15 assist/turnover ratio. Bearcats control the 11th ranked defense in the nation and do not give up easy buckets. This series is 1-8 O/U in its last 9 meetings and has yet to break 132 combined points in recent times at Houston. Bearcats 11-40-1 O/U on the road. Under the call.

This series has been competitive with Nebraska taking 3 straight from 2014 through 2016. And then Michigan State took the next 3. Sure, Michigan State is on a 10 game winning run and has some top gun talent in Winston and Ward. And McQuaid has displayed good range; however, the absence of Langford (foot) and Ahrens (back) could finally stall out the Spartans. Remember, in turnover margin, Michigan State sports the worst in the Big Ten at minus 2.8 whereas the Cornhuskers sport the best at plus 4.3. The Hawkeyes are playing well together and finding ways to manufacture points. On the other hand, the offensively challenged Nittany Lions, which are win-less in the Big Ten, are getting no work from their bench.
