05-03-24 | Clippers v. Mavs -7.5 | 101-114 | Win | 100 | 12 h 60 m | Show
LA. Clippers at Dallas 9:30 ET Mavericks (-) over Clippers- The Los Angeles Clippers try to avoid elimination and even their Western Conference first-round series when they visit the Dallas Mavericks for Game 6. The Clippers have their backs against the wall after a truly dismal effort in Game 5. The most startling development of the night was how poorly Los Angeles played when it had a chance to take the series lead at home. They will be without star forward Kawhi Leonard (knee) for the third straight game as it fights to stay alive. The Mavericks are very much aware that the Clippers will be delivering their best punch on Friday. The Mavericks reached the Western Conference finals two seasons ago before losing to the Golden State Warriors in five games. But in their previous two attempts, Dallas was eliminated by the Clippers. Pay-back is sweet! Take DALLAS! |

05-03-24 | Rangers +103 v. Royals | 1-7 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 21 m | Show
Texas at Kansas City 7:40 ET Rangers over Royals- Solid pitching has lifted the Rangers to consecutive series wins -- posting a 1.83 ERA while winning four out of six and lowering their opposition batting average to .208, the third-best mark in the majors. Texas' Michael Lorenzen (2-1, 4.24 ERA) and Kansas City's Brady Singer (2-1, 2.62) are scheduled to face off on Friday in a battle of right-handers. In four career games (three starts) against the Royals, Lorenzen is 1-1 with a 2.75 ERA. Singer has lost all three of his career starts against Texas while posting an 8.10 ERA. Kansas City's 3.14 team ERA ranks fifth in the majors while Royals starters' 3.01 ERA ranks third. The club has won six of the past nine while allowing two runs or fewer in each victory. Take TEXAS! |

05-03-24 | Cavs +4 v. Magic | 96-103 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 33 m | Show
Cleveland at Orlando 7:00 ET Cavaliers over Magic- The Magic look to stave off elimination in Game 6 of their Eastern Conference first-round series versus the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday. They featured just four players with postseason experience prior to this series. Cleveland holds a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series. The home team has won each game in the series, and should Orlando hold serve Friday, that would force the franchise's first Game 7 since 2009. Cleveland is bidding to win a playoff series for the first time since 2018. Of course, that was a different time for the Cavaliers as they finished a run of four consecutive NBA Finals appearances during LeBron James' second stint with the franchise. The Magic have covered the past three and yet trail in the series...that spells doom. Take CLEVELAND! |
|||||||
05-03-24 | Orioles v. Reds +100 | Top | 3-0 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 6 m | Show |
Baltimore at Cincinnati 6:10 ET Reds over Orioles- The Orioles will look to build on that momentum and the Reds will hope to snap out of a slump Friday night when Baltimore visits Cincinnati in the opener of a three-game interleague series. Left-hander Cole Irvin (2-1, 3.49 ERA) is slated to start for the Orioles against Reds right-hander Hunter Greene (1-2, 3.63). The Orioles, the defending AL East champions, took three of four from the Yankees while outscoring them 13-6 and limiting New York to 22 hits. The Reds, who finished two games out of a National League wild-card spot last year after losing 100 games in 2022, continued to struggle on offense while dropping the final two games to the Padres. Cincinnati is 0-2-1 in its last three series since recording a three-game sweep of the Los Angeles Angels from April 19-21. Irvin is 0-0 with a 1.69 ERA in three career games (one start) against the Reds. Greene has never opposed the Orioles in his three major league seasons. O’s suffer a letdown after Yankees. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
05-03-24 | Mets v. Rays -122 | 8-10 | Win | 100 | 9 h 42 m | Show
New York Mets at Tampa Bay 6:40 ET Rays over Mets- The Rays haven't won a series since taking two of three from the visiting San Francisco Giants from April 12-14. Since then, they have had a series split and four straight series defeats. They are four games below .500 for the first time since June 23, 2018. The Rays hope to kick off a turnaround during a three-game series against the visiting New York Mets that begins on Friday. Tampa Bay is averaging 3.75 runs per game but has scored two or fewer in four straight and six of its past nine. Aaron Civale (2-2, 5.06 ERA) will get the start for Tampa Bay on Friday. The right-hander lost his only prior appearance against the Mets, allowing two runs on four hits in 5 2/3 innings back in 2019. Jose Quintana (1-2, 3.48 ERA) will get the ball for New York in the series opener. He is coming off his best outing of the season, as he threw eight innings of one-run ball against St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Quintana is 1-4 with a 4.09 ERA in nine career appearances (eight starts) against the Rays. Take TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
05-02-24 | Knicks +3.5 v. 76ers | 118-115 | Win | 100 | 10 h 1 m | Show
New York at Philadelphia 9:00 ET Knicks (+) over 76ers- The 76ers have fought an uphill battle throughout the best-of-seven set, losing twice in New York to open the series before later dropping Game 4 at home. But seventh-seeded Philadelphia has managed to bounce back from its setbacks, first taking Game 3 125-114, then, in improbable fashion, living to see another day with a 112-106 overtime. The Knicks learned from their previous loss in the series, securing a key Game 4 win at Philadelphia on Sunday, when Jalen Brunson (47 points) nearly single-handedly outscored 76ers stars Joel Embiid (27) and Maxey (23). Take NEW YORK! |
|||||||
05-02-24 | Guardians v. Astros -125 | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 9 h 5 m | Show
Cleveland at Houston 8:10 ET Astros over Former Tribesman- Logan Allen (3-1, 5.46 ERA) ha been less than stellar although he shows a winning record as good support has been his biggest asset. He has allowed 44 men to reach base in 31 innings and has surrendered more hits (34) than innings pitched. For the struggling Astros they are trying a ‘Hail Mary’ with Spencer Arrighetti (0-3, 10.97) who in three starts has made it to the 4th inning just once giving up 18 hits in 10.2 innings. He’s a rookie that does have one thing going for him, he can throw the ball and with 15 strike outs (1.5 per inning). There is no logical reason for him to be favored so illogically I want him. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
05-02-24 | Bucks v. Pacers -8.5 | Top | 98-120 | Win | 100 | 8 h 30 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Indiana 6:30 ET Pacers (-) over Bucks- The undermanned Milwaukee Bucks were able to stave off elimination in their last outing despite being without the services of superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. The Bucks still don't know if the two stars will be able to return to the court on Thursday night when they play Game 6 of their Eastern Conference first-round series against the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis. Both players were listed as doubtful on Wednesday afternoon. Indiana missed a golden opportunity on Tuesday to record its first playoff series win since 2014. Before Tuesday’s upset win by the Bucks the Pacers had won five of the past six meetings. Take INDIANA! |
|||||||
05-01-24 | Mavs -2.5 v. Clippers | Top | 123-93 | Win | 100 | 18 h 15 m | Show |
Dallas at LA Clippers 10:00 ET Mavericks (-) over Clippers- The best-of-seven series is tied at two wins apiece, but the path to get there has been anything but conventional. The teams split a pair of games at Los Angeles and another two at Dallas, with the Clippers forced into an alternate reality as Kawhi Leonard deals with knee inflammation. Leonard already has been ruled out for Game 5. The Mavericks are dealing with their own injury issues as Luka Doncic is playing through a right knee sprain, though he is listed as probable. Take DALLAS! |
|||||||
05-01-24 | Cubs v. Mets +115 | Top | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 21 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Cubs- The Mets won for just the third time in nine games. The Cubs have lost three of their past four. After losing their first six games the Mets have moved over .500 with Tuesday’s 4-2 win over the Cubs and have their mojo working. New York has won four of six and will send Jose Butto (0-1, 2.86 ERA) to the hill and he has been outstanding. He has surrendered just 12 hits in 22 innings with 25 strikeouts. Take NY METS! |
|||||||
05-01-24 | Yankees +129 v. Orioles | 2-0 | Win | 129 | 7 h 60 m | Show
New York at Baltimore 6:40 ET Yankees over Orioles- Baltimore has taken the first two games of the four-game series between the top two teams in the American League East, and Corbin Burnes will try to secure a series win on Wednesday. The Yankees are a game back of the division-leading Orioles. Burnes (3-0, 2.55 ERA) has given up three runs or less in each of his first six starts for the Orioles. He has struck out 35 and walked eight in 35 1/3 innings. The right-hander has faced the Yankees just once in his career, tossing eight no-hit innings in a no-decision on Sept. 10, 2023. New York will counter on Wednesday with right-hander Luis Gil (1-1, 4.01 ERA), making his 13th major league start. Gil tossed six scoreless innings for a win in his only previous start against Baltimore on April 3, 2021. Take NY YANKEES! |
|||||||
05-01-24 | Rays -113 v. Brewers | 1-7 | Loss | -113 | 2 h 48 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Milwaukee 1:10 ET Rays over Brewers- After Tuesday’s brawl tempers might still be high when the Milwaukee Brewers and the visiting Tampa Bay Rays play the rubber match of a three-game series. Wednesday pitching matchup will features two veteran right-handers, Milwaukee's Colin Rea and Tampa Bay's Zach Eflin. Rea (2-0, 3.25 ERA) has been one of the most consistent starters in an injury-riddled rotation, tossing at least five innings in each of his five starts. Eflin (1-3, 4.08) took a loss his last time out, giving up five runs, four earned, in six innings during a 9-4 setback against the Chicago White Sox on Friday. In six career starts vs. Milwaukee, Eflin is 3-2 with a 4.11 ERA. He faced the Brewers once last season, allowing three runs in seven innings. Take TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
04-30-24 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks +103 | 3-4 | Win | 103 | 10 h 30 m | Show
LA Dodgers at Arizona 9:40 ET Diamondbacks over Dodgers-The Los Angeles Dodgers were swept in the 2023 postseason by the Arizona Diamondbacks, who went on to compete in the World Series. Winning one regular-season game surely doesn't equate as payback but the Dodgers will take it. In the teams' first meeting since the postseason. Left-hander Jordan Montgomery (1-1, 2.77 ERA) will make his third start of the season for the Diamondbacks. Montgomery won his Arizona debut against the San Francisco Giants on April 19 before losing to the St. Louis Cardinals last Wednesday. He allowed three runs and seven hits in seven innings in the setback. Montgomery, 31, is 0-2 with a 5.91 ERA in two career starts against the Dodgers. Dodgers right-hander Landon Knack (1-1, 3.27) will make his third career start. Both of Knack's other two major league appearances were against the Washington Nationals. He gave up two runs in each, losing on April 17 and winning last Wednesday. Take ARIZONA! |
|||||||
04-30-24 | Pacers v. Bucks +4.5 | 92-115 | Win | 100 | 11 h 12 m | Show
Indiana at Milwaukee 9:30 ET Bucks (-) over Pacers- Third-seeded Milwaukee aims to keep its season going Tuesday night when it hosts the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference first-round series. Sixth-seeded Indiana holds a 3-1 series lead. The Bucks have been without two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) for the entire series and lost star guard Damian Lillard (Achilles) with an injury late in Game 3. Regardless of who is available for the Bucks in the must-win game. The Bucks have badly missed Antetokounmpo in the series, but his teammates understand that he hasn't been able to physically go against Indiana. The Pacers dropped the first game of the best-of-seven series before winning the last three contests. It is ‘Do or die’...take MILWAUKEE! |
|||||||
04-30-24 | Magic +5 v. Cavs | Top | 103-104 | Win | 100 | 10 h 43 m | Show |
Orlando at Cleveland 8:00 ET Magic (+) over Cavaliers- The Cleveland Cavaliers recorded a pair of convincing victories at home to open their Eastern Conference first-round series before the Magic held serve in Orlando during the next two games. The fourth-seeded Cavaliers look to rebound following a second-half collapse in their last contest when they host the fifth-seeded Magic. They mustered just 10 points in the third quarter and were outscored 61-29 in the second half of Saturday's 112-89 setback. The Cavaliers couldn't throw it in the ocean from 3-point range. They made just 4 of 17 attempts, with Darius Garland going 2-for-5 to lead the team. Cleveland has failed to score 100 points in seven consecutive playoff games dating back to last year. In a surprise take ORLANDO! |
|||||||
04-30-24 | Giants -128 v. Red Sox | 0-4 | Loss | -128 | 8 h 1 m | Show
San Francisco at Boston 7:10 ET Giants over Red Sox- Right-hander Logan Webb will try to extend his career-best 19-inning scoreless streak Tuesday night when the visiting San Francisco Giants open a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox. Webb (3-1, 2.33 ERA) tossed eight scoreless innings to help the Giants defeat the New York Mets 5-1 last Tuesday. It was his third victory in as many starts. Webb is 0-1 with a 4.38 ERA in two career appearances (both starts) against the Red Sox. Boston will send righty Cooper Criswell (1-1, 2.38 ERA) to the mound Tuesday. The Giants' rotation has a 0.95 ERA over the past seven games. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
04-30-24 | 76ers +4.5 v. Knicks | 112-106 | Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show
Philadelphia at New York 7:00 ET 76ers (+) over Knicks-The Knicks are hoping to avoid a return trip to Philadelphia on Thursday night after they took over Game 4 by rallying from a 12-point deficit in the first half. New York won the first two games at home by a combined 10 points.Knicks rallied from a double-digit deficit for the second time in the series. The Knicks are attempting to reach the second round in consecutive seasons for the first time since doing it in nine straight postseasons from 1992-2000. Last season, they advanced out of the first round by winning Game 5 at Cleveland after winning Games 3 and 4 at home. Philadelphia is on the verge of its second opening-round exit when making the playoffs in the Embiid era. This time take PHILADELPHIA! |

New York at Baltimore 6:40 ET Yankees over Orioles- New York Yankees left-hander Nestor Cortes looks to continue his success against the host Baltimore Orioles when the teams play the middle game of a three-game series on Tuesday. Cortes (1-2, 3.50 ERA) is 4-0 with a 1.99 ERA in nine games, seven starts, versus the Orioles. It is his best ERA against any team he has faced more than once. Cortes has gone seven or more innings in three of his six starts. Right-hander Dean Kremer (1-2, 4.61 ERA) will make his sixth start of the season for Baltimore. Kremer earned his first win in his most recent outing, when he limited the Los Angeles Angels to two runs on three hits over 5 1/3 innings on Wednesday. Kremer is 2-3 with a 5.04 ERA in nine lifetime starts vs. the Yankees. Take NEW YORK! |
|||||||
04-29-24 | Lakers +7.5 v. Nuggets | 106-108 | Win | 100 | 12 h 3 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Denver 10:00 ET Lakers (+) over Nuggets- Los Angeles' 119-108 win over the Nuggets in Game 4 on Saturday night snapped an 11-game skid against the defending champions, counting regular season and playoffs, but the Lakers have plenty of work ahead. The Los Angeles Lakers ended nearly two seasons of frustration against Denver on Saturday night and stayed alive in the Western Conference quarterfinal series. Now the goal is to make NBA history. Los Angeles has confidence it can be the first team to rally from 3-0. The Lakers have led for most of the series and had double-digit advantages in all four games, only to have the Nuggets rally to win the first three. Denver still has home-court advantage but would like to close out the series on Monday night but you can’t ave everything. Take LA LAKERS! |
|||||||
04-29-24 | Thunder v. Pelicans +5 | Top | 97-89 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 16 m | Show |
Oklahoma City at New Orleans 8:30 ET Pelicans (+) over Thunder- The No. 1 seed Thunder have a 3-0 lead and will try to sweep the No. 8 Pelicans in Game 4 on Monday night in New Orleans. Oklahoma City Thunder dominated Games 2 and 3 of their playoff series after a scare in Game 1. We are all aware that no team in NBA history has come-back from 0-3 in the playoffs and that OKC is a beast offensively. The Pelicans offensive struggles have involved all of the Pelicans as they are shooting 40.3 percent from the floor and 27.8 percent on 3-pointers for the series. But, you should expect an all out effort for the home club here. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
|||||||
04-29-24 | Rays +103 v. Brewers | 1-0 | Win | 103 | 9 h 11 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Milwaukee 7:40 ET Rays over Brewers- The Brewers lost 15-3 on Saturday night as the Yankees pounded out four homers. In each of the losses, the Brewers finished with position players on the mound. Tampa Bay lost 4-2 on Sunday to the Chicago White Sox, who doubled their season victory total by sweeping the three-game series. Isaac Paredes had his seventh homer for the Rays. Despite the losses, Milwaukee enters Monday in first place in the NL Central, a half-game ahead of the Chicago Cubs. Bryce Wilson (2-0, 3.50 ERA) makes his third start for the Brewers, while the Rays counter with right-hander Ryan Pepiot (2-2, 3.77). In his last start, Pepiot allowed one run on three hits in six innings but did not get the decision in a 4-2 loss to Detroit last Tuesday. Take TAMPA BAY! |
|||||||
04-29-24 | Celtics -10 v. Heat | 102-88 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show
Boston at Miami 7:30 ET Heat Celtics-The Celtics won the series opener 114-94 in Boston and the Heat evened the series at 1-1 with a 111-101 victory thanks in large part to 53.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc (23 of 43). Boston focused on playing stingy defense against the Miami Heat in Game 3 to swing the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series in their favor the last time the teams met. The Heat remain without key players Jimmy Butler (right knee), Terry Rozier (neck) and Josh Richardson (shoulder). Delon Wright, who missed Game 3 because of personal reasons, is expected to be back and available to play. The Celtics are fully healthy with no one listed on their injury report. Take BOSTON! |
|||||||
04-28-24 | Wolves v. Suns +1.5 | 122-116 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 52 m | Show
Minnesota at Phoenix 9:30 ET Suns (+) over Timberwolves- Third-seeded Minnesota leads a playoff series 3-0 for the first time in franchise history. A team with a 3-0 lead has never lost its series in NBA history. The sixth-seeded Suns are on the other side of the coin after a 126-109 home loss in Game 3 leaves them facing a monumental deficit. The Suns were viewed as an NBA title contender behind the star trio of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Yet, Phoenix is on the brink of not winning a single playoff game this season. The Timberwolves owned a 50-28 rebounding advantage while dominating the interior. Closing out a series is never easy, especially trying to finish if off on an opponent's home floor. The Suns now look for a turnaround performance that at least gets them to Minneapolis for Game 5. Take PHOENIX! |
|||||||
04-28-24 | Cubs +127 v. Red Sox | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at Boston 7:10 ET Cubs over Red Sox- The Boston Red Sox look to build upon a season-high offensive performance when they conclude a three-game weekend series against the Chicago Cubs on Sunday night. Boston's Tanner Houck (3-2, 1.65 ERA) returns to the mound for the first time since taking a Tuesday loss at Cleveland despite throwing six scoreless innings and then allowing two in the seventh. The righty allowed just five hits and three walks while striking out four. The Cubs had their four-game win streak snapped and were shut out for the first time this season on Saturday. Just one of their five hits went for extra bases. For Chicago right-hander Hayden Wesneski (2-0, 0.00) will make his first start since last July and his first career start against the Red Sox. He has thrown 6 1/3 scoreless, one-hit innings as a reliever this season. Take CHICAGO CUBS! |
|||||||
04-28-24 | Bucks v. Pacers -9.5 | Top | 113-126 | Win | 100 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Indiana 7:00 ET Pacers (-) over Bucks- The Pacers are bidding to win a playoff series for the first time since reaching the 2014 conference finals. The Indiana Pacers will look to push the injury-riddled Milwaukee Bucks to the brink of elimination on Sunday. Damian Lillard's availability could be in jeopardy after he sustained an apparent left leg injury late in the first quarter. The eight-time All-Star returned to the game before aggravating an Achilles injury. The injuries are wreaking havoc with Milwaukee. Take INDIANA! |
|||||||
04-28-24 | Clippers +6 v. Mavs | 116-111 | Win | 100 | 5 h 51 m | Show
LA Clippers at Dallas 3:30 ET Clippers (+) over Mavericks- The Game 3 matchup marked the third straight in which the Mavericks held the Clippers to fewer than Los Angeles' regular-season average of 115.6 points per game and less than Dallas' 115.6 regular-season allowance. It was also Dallas' second straight win in the series when they kept Los Angeles to fewer than 100 points. As Los Angeles looks to avoid falling into a 3-1 hole before heading home for Game 5 on Wednesday, the Clippers face uncertainty with Kawhi Leonard. He said status for Game 4 is unclear. Los Angeles - a 38.1 percent shooting team from long distance during the regular season - is 18 of 59 (25.4 percent) from 3-point territory over the last two losses. The catch their shooting eye Sunday. Take LA CLIPPERS! |
|||||||
04-27-24 | Nuggets v. Lakers +3.5 | 108-119 | Win | 100 | 18 h 22 m | Show
Denver at L.A. Lakers 8:30 ET Lakers (+) over Nuggets- The Nuggets continued their domination of the Lakers, winning their 11th consecutive game against their Western Conference rivals. Making that even more impressive is that a win Saturday would give Denver consecutive playoff sweeps over Los Angeles. History says the Lakers can make their offseason plans now. No team has ever overcome an 0-3 deficit in a best-of seven NBA playoff series in 151 attempts. Lakers are 28-13 ATS at home while Denver is 18-23-1 ATS on the road. There comes a point where the adjustment by oddsmakers can go just so far. Take L.A. LAKERS! |
|||||||
04-27-24 | Phillies v. Padres -110 | 5-1 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 15 m | Show
Philadelphia at San Diego 8:40 ET Padres over Phillies- This off-season San Diego landed Dylan Cease (3-1, 1.82 ERA) and to this point he has been the most impressive of all transplants. He has surrendered just 11 hits in 30 innings with 35 strikeouts. Philadelphia will counter with Rangers Suarez (4-0, 1.36) who has giving up just 18 hits in 33 innings with 32 K’s and just eight walks. Still, the edge goes to the home team. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||
04-27-24 | Royals v. Tigers -111 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
Kansas City at Detroit 6:10 ET Tigers over Royals- Detroit’s Casey Mize (1-0, 2.95 ERA) broke into the win column last time out winning at Minnesota with his third straight quality start. The Number One overall pick in 2018 the Tigers feel it is time for Mize to come into his own. Kansas City who is off to a great start at 17-10 will send Brady Singer (2-1, 2.76) to he bump and the 28-year old has dominated his opponents allowing just 18 hits with 28 strike outs in 28 innings. But, the Tigers are looking to bounce back from a subpar display Friday. Take DETROIT! |
|||||||
04-27-24 | Celtics v. Heat +9.5 | 104-84 | Loss | -113 | 15 h 27 m | Show
Boston at Miami 6:00 ET Heat (+) over Celtics- Sunday, host Boston prevailed 114-94. The Celtics made 22 3-pointers, shooting 44.9 percent from deep. Miami made just 12 3-pointers, shooting 32.4 percent. In Game 2 on Wednesday, the Heat made 23 3-pointers, setting a franchise postseason record. The Heat shot 53.5 percent from deep. Boston made just 12 3-pointers, shooting 37.5 percent. Jimmy Butler, who is out for several weeks due to a knee injury he suffered in the play-in round, is the Heat's spiritual leader and they are also missing Terry Rozier. Miami returns home with confidence as they know that they knocked off the Celtics, 4-3, in last year's Eastern Conference Finals. Heat burn Celtics! Take MIAMI! |
|||||||
04-27-24 | Nationals v. Marlins -127 | 11-4 | Loss | -127 | 7 h 42 m | Show
Washington at Miami 4:10 ET Marlins over Nationals- Neither of these teams expect to be around in October and have had little to cheer about this season although Washington has had a bit of glitter that has shone through the darkness. The Nationals Mitchell Parker (2-0, 1.50 ERA) has a small sample but has given up just seven hits in 12 innings with 12 strikeouts and zero walks. The 24-year old is making just his third career start and the Marlins on a four game skid last won when Cabrera (1-0,3.27) started against the Cubs has 17 K’s in just 11 innings. Take MIAMI! |
|||||||
04-27-24 | Thunder v. Pelicans +1.5 | Top | 106-85 | Loss | -115 | 13 h 27 m | Show |
Oklahoma City at New Orleans 3:30 ET Pelicans (+) over Thunder- The top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder had to battle to the buzzer to win their Western Conference first-round series opener against New Orleans. The Thunder had a much easier time in Game 2, routing the Pelicans 124-92 Wednesday night. The eighth-seeded Pelicans will look to break through at home Saturday afternoon in Game 3. Oklahoma City's defense was excellent in both games as New Orleans scored fewer than 100 points in consecutive games for just the second time this season. In Game 2, the Pelicans shot 45.2 percent from the floor (including 7 of 26 from 3-point range) and the Thunder scored 22 points off 18 New Orleans turnovers. New Orleans, which had the best road record in the NBA at 28-14, lost six straight home games before defeating Sacramento (NBA ‘Do or Die’ GOY winner) in a play-in elimination game. Oklahoma City, which won eight more games than the Pelicans during the regular season, was 24-17 away from home. The Thunder were 2-0 at New Orleans in the regular season, prevailing 107-83 and 119-112. Turn about...take NEW ORLEANS! |
|||||||
04-26-24 | Wolves v. Suns UNDER 207.5 | 126-109 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 57 m | Show
Minnesota at Phoenix 10:30 ET Timberwolves/Suns- UNDER- As most of you are aware I do not use and over/under or ‘Total’ releases until we reach the playoffs and they have been very successful.There is one clear cut reason I believe that this game stays UNDER the total and it has nothing to do with the players on the court. Here it is...in the past 10 meetings the lowest ‘total’ between these two has been a 212.5 and the highest was 238 with the average number at 222.5. This price (on the total) is so far away from the norm that I want to know why...I’ll wait for the final. Play UNDER! |

L.A. Clippers at Dallas 8:00 ET Clippers (+) over Mavericks- The Mavericks got much more production from their supporting cast, especially from distance, when they evened the series 1-1 with a 96-93 road win on Tuesday. While the Mavericks improved from 30.3 percent to 42.4 percent on 3-pointers from Game 1 to Game 2, the Clippers went from 50.0 percent to 26.7 percent. From strictly a scoring standpoint, Los Angeles dominated 54-30 from the arc in its win before Dallas enjoyed a 42-24 advantage in its three-point victory. One big difference for the Clippers was the return of Kawhi Leonard, who had missed nine consecutive games including the series opener with a sore right knee. The teams split two games in Dallas in the regular season. Leonard had 30 points in the most recent Dallas meeting, a 120-111 Clippers win in December. It’s the Clips turn...take LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS! |

04-26-24 | Cubs v. Red Sox -102 | 7-1 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 42 m | Show
Chicago Cubs at Boston 7:10 ET Red Sox over Cubs- Boston's Kutter Crawford (1-0, 0.66 ERA) carries the top qualifying ERA in all of baseball into the weekend-opening start against Chicago rookie left-hander Shota Imanaga (3-0, 0.84). Crawford is coming off his first win and second quality start of the season on Saturday at Pittsburgh, where he worked around seven hits and three walks to allow just one run over six innings. As a result, Crawford's ERA is also now the best by a Red Sox starter since Roger Clemens had a 0.66 mark through his first five starts in 1991. He has not allowed a home run across his last 43 2/3 innings. After sweeping three games at Pittsburgh last weekend, the Red Sox dropped two of three in Cleveland and now return home where they are just 3-7 this season. The Cubs completed their second sweep of 2024 with a 3-1 win over Houston on Thursday to cap a three-game set. Chicago has won nine of its past 12 games. Imanaga is set to face the Red Sox for the first time. He produced his second quality start in four outings in the finale of a doubleheader against the Miami Marlins on Saturday, when he gave up three runs (two earned) in six innings. He struck out five and without issuing a walk. A two-time Nippon Professional Baseball All-Star in his native Japan, Imanaga pitched the first 18 1/3 innings of his U.S. career without allowing an earned run until the fourth inning of his Saturday start. He scored all 35 of his points in the first half in the series opener before scoring 26 of his 34 points over the first two quarters on Tuesday. Milwaukee star Giannis Antetokounmpo has missed his team's last five games dating back to the regular season due to a left calf injury. Bucks coach Doc Rivers was optimistic about how Antetokounmpo looked in practice on Thursday, but the club listed him as doubtful. 04-25-24 | Knicks +4.5 v. 76ers | Top | 114-125 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
New York at Philadelphia 7:30 ET Knicks (+) over 76ers- have you seen what I’ve seen? I don’t believe that the New York Knicks should be an underdog to anybody, anywhere, (maybe OKC) or anytime. Tibs has them playing the best of all and with the way Boston looked (vulnerable) and that can only help the Knicks mindset. It seems obvious to me that Embiid is not 100% although he is still the best Philadelphia has and they felt with him that they could be unbeatable...not! There is a karma teams acquire when together and in sync. Like Connecticut in the NCAA’s! Right now I will have to see them break down before I will be looking for it. The Sixers are a little bit too distracted by the attention being paid to referee's calls. Take NEW YORK! |

Nick Martinez (0-0, 4.76 ERA) is leaving the bullpen and returning to the Cincinnati rotation. He will make his third start of the season on Thursday. Martinez will be making his first career start against Philadelphia. The right-hander has been dominant in five career relief appearances vs. the Phillies, allowing just one run and four hits over 10 1/3 innings with no decisions. The Phillies will counter with right-hander Zack Wheeler (1-3, 2.30 ERA). Wheeler has 38 strikeouts and just seven walks over 31 1/3 innings this season. New Orleans at Oklahoma City 9:30 ET Thunder (-) over Pelicans- In Oklahoma City’s playoff opener against New Orleans a 94-92 victory Sunday, head coach Mark Daigneault played 11 players. Nine of them played in the first quarter and final quarters. The Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made the late shots and Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren came up big offensively as well. Without Zion Williamson, New Orleans needs more production from forward Brandon Ingram, who had 12 points Sunday while going 5-of-17 from the floor and hasn’t return to form yet. Williamson has missed the last two games with a hamstring strain and will be out again Wednesday. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |

04-24-24 | Phillies v. Reds -120 | Top | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 8 h 46 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Cincinnati 6:40 ET Reds over Phillies- I have to admit I think that I am looking to play on the Reds as they seem to have come up on my board numerous time already. And I know the reason! It is Elly De La Cruz who to me is the most exciting position player in baseball. Every night I check to box scores and I see last night he hit his seventh dinger of the year and I still can figure why he is batting in the six hole. What that says to me is that Cincinnati must have a deep hitting team and yet they are hitting .221 ranking 17th but they rae 7th in runs score. I’d still like Elly hitting higher in the lineup because his a blur on the bases. Lefty Nick Lodolo (2-0, 0.75 ERA) has 16 K’s, 1 BB, 1 ER in 12 innings will love the support against Phillies Spencer Turnbull who has turn things around after five years in Detroit where he never won more than four games once lost 17 and totaled just 12 wins and had an ERA of 7.26 last season. Take CINCINNATI! |
|||||||
04-24-24 | Orioles v. Angels +119 | 6-5 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 15 m | Show
Baltimore at Los Angeles Angels 4:05 ET Angels over Orioles- I’m just going through the motions ‘Mickey’ Trout is a long from being the super-star he once was although the rap on him back east after he spurred the Yankees to remain in LaLa-land with no pressure. So, the Angels are the same even without Ohtani as the once haled as the next Mickey Mantle commences with his retirement. But, to say he can’t rise up like he will this afternoon isn’t far fetched. With Tyler Anderson (2-2, 1.42 ERA) off a masterful three hit, one run 7 inning gem against Cincinnati the Angels are flying high. The Orioles Dean Kremer has (0-2. 4.91) not been impressive. Take LA ANGELS! |

The Bucks led 69-42 at halftime and cruised the rest of the way. The Pacers averaged an NBA-best 123.3 points per game during the regular season and failed to reach 100 just once. Phoenix at Minnesota 3:40 ET Suns (+) over Timberwolves- To say that Phoenix has owned Minnesota is an understatement as they have won nine of the past 10 meetings and have covered nine straight games between the two. But, Minnesota still managed to put together its best regular season in 20 years. The Timberwolves grabbed the No. 3 seed in the West by going 56-26, their most wins since the 2003-04 campaign (58-24). The Timberwolves haven't fared well in the playoffs as of late, though, getting bounced in the first round in each of the past two seasons. They were knocked out by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2022 before the Denver Nuggets got the best of them last year. Minnesota hasn't made it past the first round since 2004. Phoenix managed to close the regular season on a high note, putting together a three-game winning streak to cap a 10-4 stretch dating back to March 20. That spurt allowed the Suns to lock down the No. 6 seed in the West. The Suns are in the playoffs for the fourth year in a row. They are coming off back-to-back second-round exits following a Finals appearance in 2021. Take PHOENIX! |

Arizona at San Francisco 10:15 ET Giants over Diamondbacks- Jordan Montgomery is set to make his Diamondbacks debut when he opposes fellow left-hander Blake Snell. Snell (0-2, 12.86 ERA), the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner, signed a two-year, $62 million deal with the Giants on March 19, nine days before Montgomery joined the Diamondbacks on a one-year, $25 million contract. He is 5-1 with a 1.11 ERA in eight career starts against the Diamondbacks. Montgomery split time between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers last season, going 10-11 with a 3.20 ERA in 32 starts. He went 3-1 with a 2.90 ERA in six postseason games (five starts) while helping lead Texas to the World Series championship. He has faced the Giants twice in his career, both times last season and is 0-1 with a 2.19 ERA. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |

04-19-24 | Blue Jays -105 v. Padres | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show
Toronto at San Diego 9:40 ET Blue Jays over Padres- Coming off three straight series wins, San Diego will trot out No. 5 starter Matt Waldron (0-1, 3.14 ERA) to open this series. The knuckleballer is coming off a no-decision Saturday at the Los Angeles Dodgers, allowing one run over five innings in the team's 5-2 loss. This will be the right-hander's first career appearance against Toronto. Toronto starts the trip with rookie Yariel Rodriguez (0-0, 2.45) scheduled to start. He made his big league debut Saturday in a 5-3 victory over Colorado, lasting 3 2/3 innings and 68 pitches. The right-hander gave up four hits and a run with two walks and six strikeouts. The Cuban-born Rodriguez's stuff and emotions were both electric and his energy in catching. Take TORONTO! |

04-19-24 | Kings v. Pelicans +1.5 | Top | 98-105 | Win | 100 | 26 h 16 m | Show |
Sacramento at New Orleans 9:30 ET Pelicans (+) over Kings- I couldn’t have asked for a better set-up (in my mind anyway) as the Kings fly into New Orleans after eliminating their perennial nemesis. It was more than a just setting the Warriors aside it was the manner in which they dismantled Golden State and were in complete command. New Orleans of course with be without Zion Williamson which is not so unusual but it did come when he appeared to be reaching his potential. The Pelicans were 8-4 ATS without Williamson this season and there is more. The line jumped from the home team Pelicans at -2 to the visiting Kings to -1.5 and I expect it to go higher from their. But, here is the dirty little secret that the bookies are aware of and now you will be aware of it. New Orleans actually has played and is rated a half-point better in the 12 game played without Williamson. I love that the expectations have shifted but no the players will. Take NEW ORLEANS! |

04-19-24 | Brewers v. Cardinals +103 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 45 m | Show |
Milwaukee at St. Louis 8:30 ET Cardinals over Brewers- The Brewers could really use a quality start from Freddy Peralta to relieve pressure on their bullpen, which has shouldered a heavy workload so far this season. Starters have thrown 80 innings, with the bullpen shouldering 71. Peralta (2-0, 2.55 ERA) has been up to the task while striking out 26 batters and walking two in 17 2/3 innings in three starts. Milwaukee defeated the San Diego Padres 1-0 on Wednesday with a bullpen start, with five relievers combining to blank the Padres. Last season, Peralta was 1-2 with a 4.15 ERA in three starts against the Cardinals. In his career, Peralta is 3-6 with a 5.86 ERA in 15 appearances, including 11 starts. Kyle Gibson (1-2, 6.16 ERA) has struggled for the Cardinals since signing as a free agent. He has allowed five homers in 19 innings over his three starts. Gibson is 1-2 with a 5.44 ERA in eight career starts against the Brewers but gets the win tonight. Tale ST. LOUIS! |

04-17-24 | Heat +5.5 v. 76ers | 104-105 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
Miami at Philadelphia 7:30 ET 76ers (-) over Heat- The Philadelphia 76ers are a much better team with Joel Embiid in the lineup and he is the Most Valuable Player in the NBA if you count wins and losses. There is a noticeable difference in the way the 76ers play when the reigning NBA MVP is on the floor. Jimmy Butler who was traded from the 76ers to the Heat in the summer of 2019, has guided Miami to two NBA Finals appearances in the last four seasons. The loser of Wednesday's contest will play an elimination game on Friday against either the Chicago Bulls or Atlanta Hawks for the eighth seed -- and the right to play the top-seeded Boston Celtics. Take MIAMI! |
|||||||
04-17-24 | Yankees v. Blue Jays -105 | 6-4 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 15 m | Show
New York Yankees at Toronto 3:07 ET Blue Jays over Yankees- The Blue Jays extended their winning streak to four games Tuesday night when they held on for a 5-4 victory over the Yankees, who have lost three consecutive contests for the first time this season. Toronto is scheduled to start struggling Kevin Gausman (0-2, 11.57 ERA) on Wednesday against fellow right-hander and former Blue Jay Marcus Stroman (1-1, 2.12). Stroman is 0-0 with an 0.82 ERA in two career starts vs. Toronto. Gausman is 10-8 with a 3.27 ERA in 32 career outings (26 starts) against the Yankees. This will be the second time Stroman has pitched in Toronto since he was traded to the New York Mets during the 2019 season. He held the Blue Jays to one run over five innings with the Chicago Cubs. Take TOTONTO! |

04-16-24 | Warriors -3 v. Kings | Top | 94-118 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 56 m | Show |
Golden State at Sacramento 10:00 ET Warriors (-) over Kings- The winner of the game between the No. 10 seed Warriors (46-36) and No. 9 Kings (46-36) will advance to play either the No. 8 Los Angeles Lakers or No. 7 New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. The winner on Friday advances to play the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs the loser-goes-home Western Conference in this play-in contest. The history of losing to the Warriors made last season's postseason ouster feel even harsher for Sacramento. They floundered down the stretch with five setbacks in six games prior to hammering the visiting Portland Trail Blazers 121-82 in Sunday's regular-season finale.The Warriors had a hot finish with 10 wins in 12 games, including Sunday's 123-116 home win over the Utah Jazz. The teams split four regular-season meetings this season, going 1-1 in both Sacramento and San Francisco. The Kings have been favored in the past six home game against the Warriors and yet the 10-seed is favored on the road over the 7-seed. Smells...take GOLDEN STATE! |
|||||||
04-16-24 | Cubs +111 v. Diamondbacks | 11-12 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 18 m | Show
Chicago Cubs at Arizona 9:40 ET Cubs over Diamondbacks- The Cubs Kyle Kendericks (0-2, 12.80 ERA) is 5-3 lifetime against the Diamondbacks while surrendering seven runs twice in two losses to them, but that all happened in 2019. He was bombed last time out by San Diego and I expect he will settle down against a team that we should fade a bit this season. Arizona will send out Tommy Henry (0-1, 5.71) to the hill who has surrendered 16 hits and 10 runs in just 14 innings. Take CHICAGO CUBS! |
|||||||
04-16-24 | Padres -121 v. Brewers | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 19 m | Show
San Diego at Milwaukee 8:00 ET Padres over Brewers- San Diego’s off season acquisition Dylan Cease (1-1, 2.19 ERA) has had three starts and he has been the most impressive of all Padres pitchers surrendering just eight hits in 17 innings with 20 strikeouts and four earned runs. Milwaukee will start Wade Miley (0-0, 2.25) who is 2-6 lifetime giving 52 runs in 93 innings and ERA of 5.23. Cease is 0-1 with an ERA of 2.56 in his lone start giving up just two runs on five hits striking out seven while walking just one but, received no run support while with the White Sox last season. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||
04-16-24 | Pirates v. Mets -125 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 50 m | Show
Pittsburgh at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Pirates- In the past four years New York Mets starter Jose Quintana (1-1, 3.45 ERA) has pitched for six teams and has a grand total of nine wins coming into this season. In the two year prior to the last six he had 26 wins in a pair of season’s 2018-19 with the Chicago Cubs winning 13 in each campaign. He is 5-2 lifetime against Pittsburgh only allowing nine earned runs in 35 innings. Like last year the Buc’s started fast so fast were they that they had their best franchise record for quick start winning their first five and nine of 11. But, they have reverted back to form and have dropped four of six. Take NEW YORK METS! |
|||||||
04-15-24 | Braves v. Astros +103 | 6-1 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 26 m | Show
Atlanta at Houston 8:40 ET Astros over Braves- Houston Astros rookie right-hander Spencer Arrighetti (0-1, 21.00 ERA) will make his second career start on Monday. In his big league debut Wednesday he was roughed up by Kansas City. Atlanta Braves right-hander Darius Vines (1-0, 3.98 ERA in 2023) was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett and will start the series opener on Monday. The 25-year-old made five appearances (two starts) for the Braves last season. The Astros have won the past four meetings all in Atlanta. After a 4-11 start the Astros have won their last two over Series Champion Rangers. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
04-15-24 | Padres +100 v. Brewers | Top | 7-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
San Diego at Milwaukee 7:40 ET Padres over Brewers- The Milwaukee Brewers will look to bounce back behind resurrected right-hander Joe Ross (1-0, 1.80 ERA), who missed most of the last two seasons after a second Tommy John surgery. Right-hander Joe Musgrove (1-2, 6.87), who gave up one hit over eight innings the last time he faced the Brewers, gets the nod for the Padres. Ross is 2-1 with a 4.00 ERA in five career outings, including three starts, against San Diego, the team that drafted him in the first round in 2011. Musgrove is 1-3 with a 4.04 ERA in eight career starts vs. Milwaukee. His lone victory was in his most recent start against the Brewers and he does it again here. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||

Pittsburgh at NY Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Pirates- Left-hander Martin Perez (1-0, 1.89 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Pirates against right-hander Adrian Houser (0-1, 5.40). The Pirates will look to continue their strong early-season start and the Mets hope to climb to .500 on Monday night when the teams open a three-game series in New York. The Pirates to 11-5 for the first time since 2018 and matched their best 16-game start this century. Perez is 4-0 with a 2.88 ERA in eight career games (four starts) against the Mets. He is 4-3 with a 3.79 ERA in 14 games (10 starts) against the Pirates. Take NEW YORK METS! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Padres +145 v. Dodgers | 6-3 | Win | 145 | 20 h 34 m | Show
San Diego at LA Dodgers 7:10 ET Padres over Dodgers- Former Dodgers Yu Darvsh (2-0, 3.86 ERA) will get the start for San Diego against his former teammates, well maybe some because he spent three seasons with the cubs and is in his fourth year with San Diego. Since parting LaLaland he is 4-5 against with an outstanding 2.27 ERA in 79 innings with 95 strikeouts, he like to get ready for the ‘Bums. Lefty James Paxton (2-0, 1.64) gets the nod for the Dodgers while only surrendering seven hits in 11 innings he has walked eight. Take SAN DIEGO! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Rockets -3.5 v. Clippers | Top | 116-105 | Win | 100 | 20 h 3 m | Show |
Houston at L.A. Clippers 8:00 ET Rockets over Clippers- Okay, this is easy to explain...I think. Houston is 40-41 looking to keep from finishing under .500 for the regular season and currently out of the playoff picture. The Clippers are 51-30 (21 games better than the Rockets) and are 25-15 SU at home. The visitor despite winning only 17 of 41 road games are favored against a team that they have lost to nine straight times. If this doesn’t qualify as the ‘Don’t Make Sense’ Game ...what does! Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Yankees -128 v. Guardians | Top | 7-8 | Loss | -128 | 14 h 32 m | Show |
NY Yankees at Cleveland 1:40 ET Yankees over Watch Dogs- Nasty Nestor is back! New York’s Nestor Cortez was a huge contributor for the Yankees in 2022 with 28 starts a 12-4 record with a 2.44 ERA. He had injury issues last season and was 5-2 in just 63 innings with an ERA of 4.97 but returned to form last time out. Pitching eight innings and allowing just two hits with no walks throwing 1-2 pitches on Monday. Cleveland who was off to a great start until New York came to town will start Logan Allen (2-0, 4.60) who was pounded by the weak hitting White Sox for seven hits and five runs in four innings lat time out on Tuesday. Logan is 0-1 vs New York with an ERA of 11.20 while Cortez is 1-0 in 18 innings versus ‘Erie Boys’ allowing just nine hits three of which were home runs. Take NEW YORK YANKEES! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Giants -120 v. Rays | 4-9 | Loss | -120 | 14 h 30 m | Show
San Francisco at Tampa Bay 1:40 ET Giants over Rays- Blake Snell (0-1, 9.00 ERA) was quite unimpressive in his Giants debut throwing 72 pitches in just three inning giving up three runs on just two hits taking the loss against Washington. Snell who still feels he has a score to settle with his former club after being yanked in the playoffs is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in six innings. He comes out sharp today. take SAN FRANCISCO! |

04-14-24 | Bulls v. Knicks -14.5 | 119-120 | Loss | -115 | 16 h 37 m | Show
! Chicago at New York 1:00 ET Knicks (-) over Bulls- The Knicks realize that they have a legitimate shot at moving into the No. 2 spot in the east as Milwaukee will be at Orlando and a loss with a NY win give them the seed. this is the third meeting in the past two weeks between theses two and the line was NYK -5 and -1.5. I believe it is a tell...take NEW YORK! |
|||||||
04-14-24 | Bucks v. Magic -4.5 | 88-113 | Win | 100 | 15 h 22 m | Show
Milwaukee at Orlando 1:00 ET Magic (-) over Bucks- I’ve been watching and what I have gathered is that the Bucks are just waltzing through the final stages and will have a different attitude in a week. Milwaukee lead by Doc Rivers were all smiles after their recent blowout loss at OKC and they are not all that concerned with seeding. Orlando is off a 4-game win-less road trip and will be ready to clinch the No. 5 seed with a victory. Magic have lost 9-of-10 to the Buck but that doe’t seem to bother the odds-makers...take ORLANDO! |
|||||||
04-13-24 | Giants -104 v. Rays | 11-2 | Win | 100 | 5 h 31 m | Show
San Francisco at Tampa Bay 4:10 ET Giants over Rays- Run production for Tampa Bay starts with Yandy Diaz in the leadoff spot. It’s been a slow start for Diaz, who’s hitting .196 through 14 games, though he does have 10 RBI. Still, this feels like a mini dip in form for a hitter who posted a .330 batting average with 35 doubles and 22 home runs in 2023. The Rays will start Ryan Pepiot, who they acquired in the trade that sent Tyler Glasnow to the Dodgers. He’s only got 12 career starts under his belt, but he delivered a lights-out performance against the Colorado Rockies last weekend, with six shutout innings and 11 strikeouts. Nothing has come easily this month for the Tampa Bay Rays, with their last five wins coming by two runs or fewer. The Giants fell to 5-9 and they turn to Logan Webb (0-1, 4.86 ERA) today in a showdown that the latest MLB odds have as a coin flip. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
|||||||
04-13-24 | Nationals -125 v. A's | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 29 m | Show |
Washington at Oakland 4:10 ET Nationals over A’s- The Oakland Athletics are doing the little things necessary for big things to happen. They've gained momentum by winning five of their past six games. They have come out on top in back-to-back one-run games. The Nationals are 2-2 on a West Coast trip and Washington manager Dave Martinez said he sees regular improvement from his team, but the club has only two runs across the last 19 innings on the trip. The Athletics will go with right-hander Joe Boyle (1-1, 8.22 ERA), who threw five shutout innings Sunday. Left-hander MacKenzie Gore (1-0, 4.09 ERA) is slated to be Washington's starter. He has worked into the sixth inning in both of his starts this season. Gore, in his third season in the big leagues, will face Oakland for the first time and pick up the win. Take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||
04-13-24 | Reds v. White Sox +113 | 5-0 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 33 m | Show
Cincinnati at Chicago White Sox 2:10 ET White Sox over Reds- Cincinnati routed Chicago 11-1 in Friday's series opener, rolling behind a 12-hit attack and seven strong innings from left-hander Andrew Abbott. Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo is slated to make his season debut when his team visits the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. The Reds will look to keep rolling behind Lodolo, who missed much of the 2023 season with a stress fracture in his left tibia. The White Sox have been held to one run or fewer in seven of 13 games this season. On Saturday, they'll aim to lend support to their top pitcher to date. Left-hander Garrett Crochet (1-1, 2.00 ERA) has struck out 21 batters in 18 innings this season. Crochet has pitched to a 0.00 ERA in three career appearances against the Reds, with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. Lodolo has a 7.36 ERA in one career start vs. the White Sox. Take CHICAGO WHITE SOX |

04-12-24 | Pelicans +4.5 v. Warriors | 114-109 | Win | 100 | 11 h 60 m | Show
New Orleans at Golden State 10;00 ET Pelicans (+) over Warriors- The Pelicans (48-32) have a one-game lead over the Phoenix Suns (47-33) in their tussle for the sixth and final guaranteed playoff position in the Western Conference. The Suns hold the tiebreaker over New Orleans, meaning the Pelicans must retain their advantage in the standings over the final two games of the regular season in order to secure the No. 6 playoff spot. The Warriors (45-35) can't catch the Pelicans in the standings and thus cannot avoid a spot in the play-in tournament. Golden State, which has won three straight games and nine of its past 10. The line is too short. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
|||||||
04-12-24 | Cubs v. Mariners -114 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Chicago Cubs at Seattle 9:40 ET Mariners over Cubs- The Mariners' moribund offense finally exploded in the 10th inning Wednesday in Toronto as Seattle pulled out a 6-1 victory to snap a three-game losing streak. Cubs left-hander Jordan Wicks (0-1, 4.15 ERA) is scheduled to start Friday against Mariners right-hander Bryce Miller (1-1, 3.00). Miller beat Milwaukee 5-3 on Saturday after pitching seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk and striking out seven. Miller will be facing the Cubs for the first time. Take SEATTLE! |
|||||||
04-12-24 | Bucks v. Thunder -15 | 107-125 | Win | 100 | 9 h 1 m | Show
! Milwaukee at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Thunder (-) over Bucks- After Milwaukee posted a dominating win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 24. In their next seven games they went 1-6 and put themselves in danger of dropping out of the No. 2 spot in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks (49-31) need one win in their last two or losses by the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers to secure the position. The Thunder own the tiebreaker over the Nuggets but would likely lose out on a tiebreaker with the Timberwolves thanks to conference records. The Bucks won that first meeting of the season, 118-93, in Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo won't be playing Friday after suffering a strained left calf in Tuesday's win over Boston. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
|||||||
04-12-24 | Rangers v. Astros -121 | 12-8 | Loss | -121 | 8 h 27 m | Show
Texas at Houston 8:00 ET Astros over Rangers- The Astros and Texas Rangers, who split a four-game series last week in Arlington, Texas. Since both clubs are looking to shake off series defeats. The Rangers dropped two of three at home against the Oakland A's, while the Astros were swept in a three-game road set against the Kansas City Royals. Houston right-hander J.P. France (0-1, 4.76 ERA) is the scheduled starter on Friday. He allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a 7-2 loss to the Rangers on Saturday, and he is with a 4.08 ERA in three career starts against Texas. France went 11-6 with a 3.83 ERA over 24 appearances (23 starts) as a rookie last season. Right-hander Dane Dunning (1-1, 4.15) is scheduled to start the series opener for the Rangers. Dunning is 0-3 with a 5.20 ERA over eight career appearances (five starts) against the Astros. He is 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA in two appearances (one start) at Houston. Take HOUSTON! |
|||||||
04-12-24 | Bulls v. Wizards -125 | Top | 129-127 | Loss | -125 | 8 h 2 m | Show |
Chicago at Washington 7:00 ET Wizards over Bulls- Chicago, with a 127-105 road rout of the Detroit Pistons on Thursday, clinched the No. 9 seed in the East and home-court edge for its matchup with No. 10 Atlanta last week. Chicago won the regular-season series against Atlanta 2-1. As the No. 9 and No. 10 seed, the Bulls and Hawks each need two wins in the play-in round to advance to the playoffs. Washington (15-65) heads into its final two games of the season guaranteed the worst record in franchise history, both in terms of total losses and win percentage. The 2023-24 Wizards will not finish with the NBA's worst record this season. Washington maintains a two-game lead over Detroit at the bottom of the East going into the final weekend. Though the Wizards ride a four-game losing streak into their final two games, they have been competitive lately. All four setbacks were by single-digit-point margins. The Bulls are locked-in and a win or loss means nothing. Take WASHINGTON! |
|||||||

Severino is 3-1 with a 4.66 ERA in five career starts against the Royals. Wacha is 5-3 with a 3.28 ERA in eight career starts against the Mets, the Chicago White Sox were the team he pitched for during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. Take NEW YORK METS! |

04-11-24 | Pelicans +1.5 v. Kings | 135-123 | Win | 100 | 11 h 4 m | Show
New Orleans at Sacramento 10:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Kings- The Pelicans (47-32), winners of two in a row, have moved into sixth place in the West. But each remaining opponent has a chance to catch New Orleans by the end of play Sunday. The Kings' chances of winning the final game of the season series against the Pelicans and then potentially passing them in the standings involve more than just Ingram's status. Sacramento has injury issues. The Kings squandered a chance to stay within one game of the Pelicans in the loss column when they blew a 20-point lead in a 112-105 loss at Oklahoma City. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
|||||||

The Celtics became the first NBA team not to shoot a free throw during Tuesday's loss. Boston has won 13 straight home games. After Thursday's matchup, the Celtics will wrap up the regular season with home games against Charlotte and Washington. New York will conclude the regular season with home games against Brooklyn and Chicago. The Knicks are win-less in four games against the Celtics this season. Celtics will remain passive until the playoffs. Take NEW YORK! |

Milwaukee at Cincinnati 6:40 ET Reds over Brewers- Brewers left-hander Wade Miley will make his season debut after starting the year on the 15-day injured list with a left shoulder impingement. Miley was a valuable part of the Brewers' rotation last season as the team captured the National League Central, posting a 9-4 record with a 3.14 ERA Greene has been strong to start 2024, even though the Reds are 0-2 in his two starts. He has received a pair of no-decisions in 23 starts. Miley is 7-3 with a 2.86 ERA in 14 career games (13 starts) against the Reds. He faced them once in 2023, allowing just four hits and striking out eight over six scoreless innings in a 1-0 win in Milwaukee. Take CINCINNATI! |

The Mavericks appear likely to avoid the play-in round, which is for teams in spots seven through 10 in the standings. Miami (44-35) is eighth in the Eastern Conference, and it looks like the Heat again are destined to compete in the play-in round. The Mavericks, who have won 15 of their past 17 games, started this week with a thrilling 147-136 overtime win at home versus the Houston Rockets on Sunday. Heat guard Tyler Herro, playing just his third game since returning from injury, scored 33 points on Tuesday. He made 13 of 25 shots from the floor. Herro is the difference. Take MIAMI! |

04-08-24 | Purdue v. Connecticut -6.5 | Top | 60-75 | Win | 100 | 21 h 52 m | Show |
Purdue vs Connecticut 9:30 ET Huskies (-) over Boilermakers- Like I said last time out, ‘until someone beats this team there is no reason to play against the Huskies.’ Yes, of course, unless you are up against Zack Edey the Two-time NCAA Payer of the Year! Both of these clubs are championship worthy and I was surprised the opening number was as high as it was at -6.5. Most of my west coast Vegas friends like I believe the price would be Connecticut around -3...but of course my east coast people showed their bias and said it could have been higher. Now, my thoughts are who’s instincts are better. Las Vegas is very sharp and I respect their opinion as I do New York but in actuality as to who would have more influence over the outcome?...Straight-up, if this game was played without referees (I was one of them) I see Connecticut getting the best of a very good team The key of course is Zack Edey and I wonder after what I saw if he has been up against a player with the size and the talent of UConn’s 7’2’ 285 Lbs center Donovan Clingan who had four blocks against Alabama and controlled the boards. Take CONNECTICUT! |
