09-15-19 | Eagles -1 v. Falcons | 20-24 | Loss | -120 | 36 h 19 m | Show
DMack NFL Sunday Night Magic is on the Philadelphia Eagles Philadelphia sleepwalked to the half vs. Washington and trailed 20-6 at the half before storming back to win. Wentz and Co. meet a desperate Falcon team that is a dangerous 8-2 L10 home dog that did less than nothing in their opening loss at the Vikings. Quinn is coaching for his job but that will not be enough to get by an Eagle outfit that has won 8 of their last 10 road openers straight up. Philly 27-20. |
09-15-19 | Colts v. Titans -3 | 19-17 | Loss | -115 | 80 h 32 m | Show
DMack NFL Power Pack winner is on the Tennessee Titans Not over-reacting to the Titan's blowout of the Brown but don't want to minimize the effort either. Tennessee capitalized on three takeaways and the Titans generally play solid defense. The Colts were fortunate to take the Chargers to OT and were unable to stop the run all day. Hard to see how they'll have an answer for Derrick Henry here. Tennessee 23-13. |
09-15-19 | Seahawks v. Steelers -3.5 | 28-26 | Loss | -102 | 29 h 60 m | Show
DMack NFL Power Pack winner is on the Pittsburgh Steelers Love the Steelers here to rebound from their humiliating national TV loss last Sunday night. Seattle won by divine intervention last week, beating the Bengals despite being outgained 429-233. The Hawks are strangled by Russell Wilson's salary and it will show for year's to come as Seattle is unable to afford to bring in talent. The Steelers have won 14 of their L16 home openers (11-5 ATS) and will be looking to make amends. They do so against a team they beat by a combined 48-0 in the last two meetings on this field. |
09-15-19 | Chargers v. Lions | 10-13 | Loss | -125 | 29 h 58 m | Show
DMack NFL Power Pack winner is on the San Diego Chargers The Lions blew a 24-6 fourth quarter lead at Arizona and were fortunate to escape with a tie. The Bolts took their foot of the pedal before winning in OT over Indy. The Charger offense did pretty much what it wanted and Philip Rivers looks to be in mid-season form. The visitor has been a solid road play for years (9-5 L14 ATS) and are also 4-2-1 under Lynn as a road favorite. Chargers 27-10. |
09-14-19 | Texas State v. SMU -17 | 17-47 | Win | 100 | 29 h 22 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Power Pack Play on SMU The SMU was an easy winner for us last week and we're coming right back with the Stangs for many of the same reasons. Southern Meth features a high-octane offense that can beat you in the air or on the ground with the ground with serial slasher Xavier Jones. Texas State has a quarterback that has thrown four picks in the Wildcats first two games and will be throwing into the teeth of a secondary here that has been bolstered by four upperclassman Power Five transfers that played for the likes of Auburn, Nebraska, and USC. The Ponies have already beaten better on the road and have no excuses to not win easily here. |
09-14-19 | Iowa v. Iowa State | 18-17 | Win | 100 | 10 h 29 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Power Pack Play on the Iowa Hawkeyes Iowa was given little run at the beginning of the year but the Hawkeyes are now 2-0, albeit against Miami, Oh and Rutgers, and should be unscored upon. The Clones were taken to two OTs by Northern Iowa and are 0-4 SU (0-3-1 ATS) in the last four games of series. This rivalry is always a brawl played at top intensity but Iowa is the better team here and has been money in this spot going 15-2-1 the last six years as a road favorite under Ferentz. Iowa 23-10. |
09-14-19 | Arizona State v. Michigan State -14 | 10-7 | Loss | -110 | 59 h 39 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Super Play on Michigan State The Spartans have been the sexy pick this week in Las Vegas as the Sparty defense appears to be it's usual self while the offense is the best of the recent Dantonio era. A revenge spot here as Herm and the Pitchforks won 16-13 in the desert last year. This Michigan State is the real deal and in the end, ASU's basic lack of talent is exposed in a 20-point loss. |
09-14-19 | Stanford v. Central Florida -7 | 27-45 | Win | 100 | 69 h 35 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Power Pack is on the UFC Knights UFC got off to a slow start last week before blowing out FAU on the road in a lightning shortened game in South Beach. The Knights are settling on a QB and Josh Heupel has this UCF offense hitting on all cylinders. Stanford is in a world of hurt after getting spanked by a true freshman USC QB last week, travels West to East, and has significant injuries to the offensive line. The Cardinal gets starting QB Costello back but even if he brought Abbott with him, they couldn't keep the The Tree to falling to 2-6 L8 as a road dog. UCF does whatever it wants. |
09-14-19 | UNLV v. Northwestern -18 | 14-30 | Loss | -114 | 58 h 8 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Power Pack Play is on the Northwestern Wildcats Northwestern's loss at Stanford the first week of the season doesn't look like much right now but the Wildcats are made of better stuff and get the right patsy to pummel here. The Rebels beat a very bad Southern Utah outfit in their opener and then put up less than token resistance in a four touchdown loss to Arkansas State in a game they opened up at as favorite. The Cats have their Big Ten opener next week but were so bad at Palo Alto that Pat Fitzgerald will have them believing they are playing the Vikings. Bottom line … the Rebs are one the 10 worst teams in FBS. |
09-14-19 | East Carolina v. Navy -7 | 10-42 | Win | 100 | 26 h 50 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Power Pack Play on Navy The Middies have had a reality check the last couple of year but this edition might be closer to the solid editions that were featured in the first part of the decade. Navy loves to see ECU who they've beaten by 65-45-56 points in the last three meetings. ECU was beat up by a rebuilding NC State team in their opener and the Pirates face a disciplined senior Navy signal caller with 26 starts. Navy won't win by 50+ here but they don't have to for us to cash a ticket. |
09-14-19 | USC -3.5 v. BYU | 27-30 | Loss | -108 | 26 h 44 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Power Pack Play on USC With all due respect to Trojan HC Clay Helton, he just might be the ultimate cockroach in the Pac 12. His seat was hot and he was the early favorite at many books to be the first coach fired. USC won it's opener while losing starting QB J.T. Daniels in process and then took Stanford behind the woodshed behind their true frosh replacement signal caller who set all kinds of records in the beat down of The Tree. USC is now a legit threat to win the Pac 12 and has Utah on deck. That said, they face a BYU team here whose scheduling (Utah, Tennessee) is done by the Marquis de Sade leaving the Cougars "defrosted" already. |
09-14-19 | Pittsburgh v. Penn State -17 | 10-17 | Loss | -109 | 55 h 40 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Super Play on Penn State Penn State, like Iowa and Wisconsin on the other side of the Big Ten, has been overlooked all summer and is much better than expected. The Nits were sloppy against Buffalo of the MAC last week but rolled in the second half behind the team's superior depth. PSU's M.O. for the year is going to be playing close in the first half and then flipping the switch in the second. This is a renewal of an old rivalry (Joe Pa insisted on a 2-for-1 after PSU joined the Big Ten) and is meaningful to both for recruiting. Penn State 48-17. |
09-14-19 | NC State -7 v. West Virginia | 27-44 | Loss | -101 | 22 h 25 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Power Pack Play on NC State These were supposed to be two teams in rebuild mode but while West Virginia has all the makings of a train wreck, NC State is coming on fast and well ahead of schedule. The Wolf Pack beat up two tomato cans to start the year but the offense that returned just four starters is doing some real nice things. The Mounties were left toothless by Dana Holgorsen who saw the writing on the wall and flew the coup. WVU was mauled by Mizzou last week and was life and death to beat James Madison in it's opener. In the end, N.C. State has no excuses for not beating a bad West Virginia team by two touchdowns. |

09-12-19 | Bucs +7.5 v. Panthers | 20-14 | Win | 100 | 9 h 58 m | Show
DMack's NFL Thursday Night Thunder is on the Tampa Bay Buccs Both teams will be playing with a lot of urgency here to avoid the dreaded 0-2 and this is a division game to boot. This Capper is a Bruce Arians believer so will give the Bucs a mulligan for last week's terrible performance which featured four turnovers and two 49ers defensive touchdowns. The Panthers 30-27 loss to the Rams in their opener was not as close as the final score. Carolina just 8-10 in their L18 tries as a home favorite and Cam Newton is turnover prone himself and less than 100% physically. Grab the full touchdown or more. Hooks are still readily available at this writing. |

09-08-19 | Chiefs -3 v. Jaguars | 40-26 | Win | 100 | 50 h 21 m | Show
DMack Sunday NFL Power Pack Play on the Kansas City Chiefs You most likely won't be able to find a 3 at this point but even at -3.5/4, you have an offensive juggernaut that until proven otherwise, will have to be a team that scores 30 per in your handicap. Last year, the Jags problems rest on offense and the dead season blamed on Blake Bortles. Nick Foles takes over but this team did little to nothing on offense in August and will have to show us first. Chiefs 5-1 ATS in L6 road openers and 15-7 L22 as a road favorite. Lay it. |
09-08-19 | Ravens -6.5 v. Dolphins | 59-10 | Win | 100 | 50 h 20 m | Show
DMack Sunday NFL Power Pack Play on the Baltimore Ravens This is going to be the biggest decision on the day in Las Vegas. Historically you can make a strong case for Miami but the Fish have made it clear that they are in full tank mode. The Ravens followed their success with Lamar Jackson and rolled through the preseason. Not necessarily a great spot, on the road in Week I in hot steamy Miami … but Baltimore face a team that just unloaded arguably their two best defensive players and also their blindside protection for Fitzmagic. Baltimore 27-10. |

09-07-19 | North Texas v. SMU -3 | 27-49 | Win | 100 | 16 h 6 m | Show
DMack Saturday NCAAF Power Pack Play on the SMU This is a revenge game for the Mustangs who saw their three-game series wins streak stopped last year. The Mean Green caught a lot of breaks last year and do roll with a QB with 37 starts but not much else as was indicative of their opening struggle versus FCS school. SMU beat a better Arkansas State team on the road last week and figures to roll at home. |
09-07-19 | Central Florida -11.5 v. Florida Atlantic | 48-14 | Win | 100 | 16 h 56 m | Show
DMack Saturday NCAAF Power Pack Play on the UCF Golden Knights UCF's biggest question mark coming in to the year was at QB with no proven commodity. Apparently, Josh Heupel has three QBs that he can go to as he pleases. FAU is a far cry from the Florida A&M Rattlers but the Owls first quarter against and Ohio State team that lost interest after eight minutes (28-0) would look to be their real profile. |
09-07-19 | Southern Utah v. Northern Iowa -24 | 14-34 | Loss | -120 | 31 h 49 m | Show
DMack Saturday NCAAF Power Pack Play on the Northern Iowa Panthers Northern Iowa couldn't have been any unluckier than they were in their double-OT loss to Iowa State. The Panthers played on even ground with the Cyclones throughout and will enjoy a soft touch here in Southern Utah. UNLV could have run for 700 yards on the T-Birds had they wanted and the final would have been 56-7 had Sanchez not called off the dogs. |
09-07-19 | Northern Colorado v. Washington State -34 | 17-59 | Win | 100 | 11 h 18 m | Show
DMack's Week II NCAAF Bully Beat Down is on the Washington State Cougars The Pirate, Mike Leach, showed no compunction is spanking an outmanned New Mexico State outfit 58-7 last week. In typical Cougar fashion versus the have nots, Wazzou spread the ball around, getting everyone involved. Northern Colorado was beaten up by San Jose State last weekend which is all you need to know about the Bears. |
09-07-19 | Illinois -21 v. Connecticut | 31-23 | Loss | -108 | 34 h 12 m | Show
DMack Saturday NCAAF Power Pack Play on the Illinois Fighting Illini Lovie Smith is coaching for his job and taking no prisoners against a soft non-conference schedule. UConn may very well the lowest power rated team in Division and the Huskies were life and death to beat Wagner in their opener. The Illini have been taking sharp money over the last two weeks and will have no excuses again this week. |
09-07-19 | Nebraska -4 v. Colorado | 31-34 | Loss | -109 | 29 h 4 m | Show
DMack Saturday NCAAF Power Pack Play on the Nebraska Cornhuskers Nebraska was guilty of reading their own clippings and forgetting to show up for their opener. The Huskers prevailed thanks to two defensive touchdowns and a punt return. The Blackshirts face former Big 12 rival Colorado here and the offense should do some business against a Buffalo team that game up 500+ yards to a very ordinary Colorado State in that rivalry win. Nebraska puts the hammer down. |
09-07-19 | Rutgers v. Iowa -19.5 | 0-30 | Win | 100 | 48 h 34 m | Show
DMack Saturday NCAAF Power Pack Play on the Iowa Hawkeyes The Hawkeyes won, pushed, or lost their opening against Miami, Ohio … winning by 24 despite being a complete no show in the first half and turning the ball over twice resulting in the Redhawks only points. Rutgers will be more competitive but catch a focused Iowa bunch here that generally takes car of business on their home field. |
09-07-19 | Ohio +4.5 v. Pittsburgh | 10-20 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 30 m | Show
DMack's Saturday NCAAF Early Bird winner is on the Ohio Bobcats Pitt was absolutely awful last week in getting dominated on this field by Virginia. The Panthers will have their work cut out for them against Ohio's veteran Sr. quarterback Rourke and a senior laden secondary that will make it difficult to throw. Solich is 11-4 in L15 as a dog and has a real chance to take a Power Five scalp here. |
09-06-19 | Marshall +12 v. Boise State | 7-14 | Win | 100 | 33 h 6 m | Show
DMack's Marshall/Boise Friday NCAAF Super Play is Marshall Call it a "trap" game or whatever you want, this is not the best of spots for the Broncos home opener. Granted, win at Florida State was big for the program and the new freshman QB but they face a very experienced Marshall team that is supremely coached by Doc Holiday. The Herd crushed a tomato can in its opener and 11-4-1 L16 as a road dog. Boise on the other hand starts new era but 16-34 ATS run on the Blue Turf is long term and can't be ignored. Neither can 12 points with a VERY live dog. |

08-31-19 | Weber State v. San Diego State -7 | 0-6 | Loss | -186 | 10 h 54 m | Show
DMack's Saturday NCAAF Bail Out Special is on the San Diego State Aztecs Weber State is very good team out of the Big Sky and that is evidenced here in the respect the Wildcats are garnering in the line. That said, San Diego State is a tough draw with its unorthodox defense and super savvy coach Rocky Long. SDSU will also have the game breaker on the field with the latest of their long line of excellent backs as you can figure to see Juwan Washington early and often. He's not big but fast and powerful and can run inside or out. Like the Mountain West team to establish dominance up front and grind out a 24-10 type of win. |
08-31-19 | Miami-OH v. Iowa -21.5 | 14-38 | Win | 100 | 9 h 29 m | Show
DMack Week I Saturday NCAAF Bonus Play is on the Iowa Hawkeyes This is a late edition for me as the Iowa Hawkeyes are a team that in many ways is a mirror image of the Wisconsin team we saw crush South Florida on the road. Both teams are young and green but the Hawkeyes ALWAYS play defense and do return the 3rd Team all-Big Ten QB and their top three RBs from last year. Iowa establishes the ground and pound early and then extends late with a relentless last 30 minutes. |
08-31-19 | South Carolina -10.5 v. North Carolina | 20-24 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 26 m | Show
DMack NCAAF Saturday Week I Super Play is on the South Carolina Gamecocks There is no recent history between these two as this is the first meeting since 2015. Mack Brown tries to resurrect the old magic for the Tar Heels but inherits a two-win team with not much talent or confidence. This is a put up or shut up year for Muschamps who starts a senior QB with 32 starts behind an offensive line with a lot of experience. This is a neutral field game in Charlotte and the Gamecocks should be well represented and have no excuses here. |
08-30-19 | Wisconsin -10.5 v. South Florida | 49-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 44 m | Show
DMack's Wisconsin/South Florida Friday Night Feature is on the Wisconsin Badgers I love when proven commodities get overlooked and pretty much have no expectations coming in. The Badgers were hit hard by graduation and do not have their usual compliment of returnees but they will pay strong defense and they will have some very big boys up front to impose their will and power ground game. South Florida was somewhat counterfeit last year and while the Bulls beat up the teams that they should, they rarely compete. Wisky is 11-3 as a road favorite under Chryst and we fully expect the Badgers to push around the hosts here and that has been reflected to this point in the line. |
08-30-19 | Rice v. Army -21.5 | 7-14 | Loss | -103 | 72 h 48 m | Show
NCAAF Super Play is on the Army Cadets This might very well be the best play on Friday and it wins early. The Cadets returning seven offensive starters from last years 11 win team including a quarterback that can run and throw. Rice will be looking to replace the key components of last years two-win team and the Owls are arguably bottom five of this year's D-I board teams. These teams met two year's ago with Army leading 35-0 at the half of a 49-12 spanking. The Cadets have shown no compunction in running up the score in recent editions and we can expect more of the same here. |
08-29-19 | Utah -6 v. BYU | 30-12 | Win | 100 | 11 h 49 m | Show
DMack's Thursday College Football Play of the Day is on the Utah Utes The "Holy War" kicks off the 2019 schedule for Utah and BYU. The Utes have won the last three editions by a combined 15 points and this game is always played tough and an important in-state recruiting tool for the winner. The Utes are getting lots of preseason love from the pundits with their 14 returning starters, 7 on each side, and a QB with 19 starts who will have the luxury of handing off to a stud RB and experienced offensive line. The Cougars have 17 starters back but the disparity in talent is significant and home dog (0-3-1) has not been the best of spots under Sitake. |
08-29-19 | Cardinals v. Broncos -1 | 7-20 | Win | 100 | 51 h 4 m | Show
DMack's NFLX Week IV Super Play is on the Denver Broncos Arizona is horrific on both sides of the ball and it's going to be a long year for Kyler and Kliff. Shocked at the line here as Arizona can't stop a breeze while the Broncos reportedly (from multiple sources) have double-digit starting jobs up for grabs including the Flacco backup spot between Kevin Hogan and Brett Rypien. Just see a big effort here from a homestanding Bronco team under a new regime, looking to win back a home crowd that is loaded with doubt from its recent post Super Bowl editions. Lay it. |
08-24-19 | Florida -7 v. Miami-FL | 24-20 | Loss | -105 | 32 h 52 m | Show
DMack's 2019 NCAAF First Blood is on the Florida Gators A huge game for Florida off the git go as they face the gauntlet (Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU) in their next four games that games (with all due respect to Towson) that matter. Franks is the real deal at QB for the Gators but he'll have to guide his young offensive line against a pretty good Cane defense. A true frosh won the QB job in South Beach giving the impression that Diaz has a bigger job than met the eye. The Florida defense in elite, top 10 in fact, and the spot is where Gator coach Dan Mullin has made his bones throughout his career. Florida 24-10. |
08-24-19 | Texans +1 v. Cowboys | 0-34 | Loss | -115 | 32 h 41 m | Show
DMack's Saturday NFLX Super Play is on the Houston Texans Jason Garrett has proven throughout his tenure in Dallas that he doesn't care about preseason and last week's win over an equally disinterested Rams outfit was almost by accident. The Cowboys have a division heavy schedule early and yet to implement the offense (holdouts) so they'll be looking to get out of Dodge in one piece. Houston's Bill O'Brien is coaching for life as he's arguably the coach in the hottest hot seat to start the season. O'Brien gave most offensive starters the week off last week and this will be the fine-tune game for Deshaun Watson and Co. to work the kinks out before their Monday night opener against the Saints. The Houston offense is slated to see extensive action and really like the Texans here in wire-to-wire comfortable fashion. |
08-23-19 | Bills -2.5 v. Lions | 24-20 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show
DMack's Friday NFLX Super Play is on the Buffalo Bills The season hasn't even started and already we have the feeling that these are two teams headed in opposite directions. There is plenty of hope and optimism in Buffalo while Detroit already looks like a beaten dog. The Bills again are very deep defensively which is one of our important prerequisites. It's unclear if Motown starters will even play and how long and the key question for the Honolulu blue is whether or not David Fales can win backup gig to Mathew Stafford. The Bills are still a long way away but are doing some things well and their starters and key people will reportedly get plenty of time in what local media is calling their best off season in recent memory. Bills by 10. |
08-22-19 | Packers v. Raiders +3 | 21-22 | Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show
DMack's Thursday NFLX Bonus Play is on the Oakland Raiders |
08-22-19 | Panthers v. Patriots -3.5 | 3-10 | Win | 105 | 9 h 59 m | Show
DMack's Thursday NFLX "Go Game" Super Play is on the New England Patriots Week III used to be known as "Go Week" or "The Dress Rehearsal" where the starters would generally play the first half and a series or two into the third quarter. This hasn't been the case for the most part over the last five years thanks to preferred work in joint practices with other teams for several days at a time. Tom Brady may or may not see time here but regardless, this is as deep a Patriot team defensively as we've seen in a long time and there is still major competition for the wide receiver spots with 2-3 reportedly still up for grabs. Ron Rivera has little to prove here, has never had qualms about laying down in past, and would figure to have a top priority of getting out of Dodge healthy and ready for Week One. See the Pats rolling here with roster cuts just 10 days away and jobs still up in the air. New England 27-13. |
08-19-19 | 49ers +1.5 v. Broncos | 24-15 | Win | 100 | 11 h 51 m | Show
DMack's NFLX Monday Night Magic is on the San Francisco 49ers The homestanding Broncos can do some nice things with their starters, especially on the defensive side of the ball. That said, these are two teams in builds and edge in depth (on both sides of the ball) clearly belongs to the 49ers. Especially like the QB backups for San Francisco as Nick Mullen and C.J. Beathard battle it as the Jimmy G backup. Both players are quality, and either would likely be picked up if cut from. Expecting razor sharp efforts from both after the starters get their taste and don't see Denver with much of an answer the second half. See the 49ers winning this by double-digits. |
08-17-19 | Chiefs +1 v. Steelers | 7-17 | Loss | -108 | 81 h 56 m | Show
DMack's NFLX Super Play is on the Kansas City Chiefs What many forget about the Chiefs is that they have depth on both sides of the ball, especially on the offensive side. The defense has issues to be sure but figures to be improved but and the Kansas City stop unit will be playing hard throughout with spots still up for grabs. The Steelers are in a similar spot but without much depth on defense. Tampa Bay did WHATEVER is wanted late to get in the back door last week and the new third string "Curtain" will be facing far better here. Andy Reid has been a NFLX lay down over the first 20 years of his career but has shown "buy signs" with his newly configured Chiefs outfit. Kansas City by a touchdown in a higher scoring game. |
08-16-19 | Dolphins v. Bucs -3.5 | 14-16 | Loss | -108 | 56 h 54 m | Show
DMack's NFLX Super Play is on the Tampa Bay Bucs Bruce Ariens and Todd Bowles are reunited in Western Florida and if their time in Arizona is any indication, should produce reasonably fast results in Tampa Bay. The Bucs definitely have issues on defense but the offense can go up and down with anyone and the depth chart is extremely deep on offense. The Dolphins were given a gift last week when Atlanta went for it on 4th and 17 on it's own 10 with less than a minute left to avoid overtime. That stuff happens. The Miami defense has it's own issues and expecting the Bucs to drop 30+ on them here making the -3.5 much more palatable. Three's are readily had here and in this case, I'll be getting the worst of the number. You shouldn't have to! |
08-15-19 | Raiders +3.5 v. Cardinals | 33-26 | Win | 100 | 32 h 29 m | Show
DMack's NFLX Super Play is on the Raiders +3.5 (-125) Full disclosure is that I took the Raiders +3.5 + juice early in the week and that now it is difficult to find a three. Shop! The The Cardinal's result form last weekend was extremely misleading as the Chargers first units basically ran for 10 yards a pop at will. Had Philip Rivers been playing to do the honors, the Bolts could have won by four touchdowns. Say what you will about the Raiders but there are plenty of jobs still up for grabs and Gruden will be playing to win as opposed to evaluating talent like Arizona which is in complete rebuild. IMO, points not even in play but always good to have. Raiders straight up. |

08-08-19 | Jets -1 v. Giants | 22-31 | Loss | -120 | 152 h 50 m | Show
DMack NFLX Play of the Day is on the NY Jets Motivation and objectives are so important in the NFL preseason. Both teams are in rebuilding mode but thinking and reports seem to indicate that both aspects are with the Jets who will be looking to establish a better "culture" right away. The Giants will be looking at a lot of players while looking to preserve Eli, Barkley, and the like … the G-Men have already been hit by injuries and will be short handed at positions like wide receiver. Good spot for the Flyboys who look to be somewhat further along to win this "derby" somewhat convincingly. Jet by 10. |
07-16-19 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Phillies | 8-9 | Loss | -121 | 13 h 14 m | Show
DMack's MLB Run-Line Game of the Week is on the Dodgers (Buehler Listed) Walker Buehler has had more than a day off and should be ready to roll with a big second half. The Dodgers are 12-5 in his starts and abused Phillie pitching last night. The homies send Vince Velasquez to the mound and he hasn't been getting anyone out with his 7.03 ERA over his L6 starts. Phils just 5-8 L13 and would appear to be up against it here as reflected by 2-dollar-dog price at home. Laying the run and half mitigated damage and increases profit when you pick your spots. This is one of those spots. |
06-25-19 | Nationals -1.5 v. Marlins | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 34 m | Show
DMack's Run-Line Game of the Week is on the Washington Nationals It's tough to ignore Max Scherzer when he is in this kind of a zone. He's had All-Star type numbers all year but has been sucked under by the early Nats swoon. He's 4-0 with a 0.93 ERA over his last four starts and is finally getting support. As you would expect, he's 12-4 LT vs. the Marlins with a 3.21 RA in 21 career starts. Trevor Richards has been doing his part for the Fish (2.43 ERA, L5) but has been the beneficiary of just one run of support in his last three starts. The Nats are scoring runs so barring a bad outing by Scherzer, this run line is very doable. Take the Nats -1 1/2. |

06-10-19 | Warriors v. Raptors -3 | 106-105 | Loss | -109 | 34 h 48 m | Show
Mack Attack NBA Finals Game Five Super Play is on the Toronto Raptors Fully convinced at this point that the Raptors take care of business here and finish in five games. Kevin Durant, the 101st Airborne, and teargas won't make the Warriors play defense and the Raptors merely need to stay the course and follow their gameplan. Remember, that Toronto won by double-digits in game four after starting the game 4-18 from the floor and connecting on just 1 of their first 12 treys. Toronto is very professional, very focused ... Golden State is at 60% and Steph is exhausted !!! Toronto 113-101. |
06-07-19 | Raptors +4.5 v. Warriors | Top | 105-92 | Win | 100 | 9 h 35 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Finals Game IV Super Play is on the Toronto Raptors I very rarely change my opinion mid-stream but I'm a firm believer of the eye test and the Golden State Warrior team that was put out on the floor in Game III cannot compete at this level. The Warriors were out of the mix from the get go and it took 47 from Steph to make things as close as they were. Sure GSW will likely get Klay back for this one but at what level and I'm not a big klay guy to begin with. That's not to say that he won't go out and get 60 which he does every blue moon. In the end, the Warriors just don't play defense and their bench is the weakest of any of the five teams in the current five game championship run. Toronto straight up. |
06-05-19 | Yankees -1.5 v. Blue Jays | 7-11 | Loss | -127 | 7 h 2 m | Show
DMack's MLB Play of the Day is on the Yankees Run-Line (Paxton Listed) You will rare if ever see me recommend a run-line but with the way the MLB elites (Dodgers, Astros, Bronx) are cleaning house, we're going to have to either pick spots or play totals and questionable matchups. Good spot for New York who comes off a horrific game in the field with the Bombers kicking the ball around on Tanaka. More focused effort here plus a razor sharp James Paxton 92-0, 1.35 ERA, L5) should be enough to get the Pinstripes through by margin. Yanks Run-Line is the Play. |
06-02-19 | Warriors +2 v. Raptors | 109-104 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show
DMack's NBA Championship Game Two Super Play is on the Golden State Warriors One of the biggest pitfalls of this hobby is remembering what we saw last. In this case, it was a dominating wire-to-wire Toronto win that has everyone thing that the Warriors backs are against the wall. Keep this mind ... Golden State had not played in 10 days, were integrating Boogie Cousins back into the lineup for the first time in eight weeks, and overall just played a miserable game. PRIOR, the Warriors were 32-1 in games that Steph played and KD didn't. Without the Durantula, the Wubs ball movement is more crisp and you would have to think that GSW will shoot considerably better from the field and be much more aware of their defensive assignments. Yes Kahwi had a pedestrian Game I at best but are you willing to bet that you'll get 34 points from Pascal Biakim and another 20/7 game from Marc Gasol ??? I don't think so. Expect Golden State to go in and take care of business here and go back to the bay with a convincing split. Golden State 122-106. |
05-30-19 | Warriors +1.5 v. Raptors | 109-118 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 25 m | Show
DMack's NBA Finals Game I Super Play is on the Golden State Warriors Golden State has had 10 days off but in this case, that might have been a good thing. The Warrior role players (and that's no insult) like Iguodala have had plenty of time to heal and the Wubs (other than Durant) should be close to 100% ready to go. Not much going into this "cap" ... Golden State is 32-1 straight up when Curry plays and Durant doesn't. That is not by accident and it seems to be forgotten that this team has won championships without KD. Plain and simple ... Golden State been there and done that and the Raptors are a team that couldn't get out of the first round two and three back and are solely based on having Kawhi on a rental. Golden State 114-103. |
05-25-19 | Bucks v. Raptors -2 | 94-100 | Win | 100 | 10 h 56 m | Show
DMack's Eastern Conference Final Game Six Super Play is Toronto I have to admit that I was fooled by the Raptors who have won and covered three straight since their Game Two no show. Great Toronto defense and hard work on the boards has absolutely locked up the Bucks offense and even Giannis has been unable to figure things out and his lack of a mid range game has been exposed. Milwaukee is on it's first three game losing streak of the season and can't hit a shot. Don't know how that will change here in a hostile venue vs. a team and a crowd that smells blood in the water. Raptors by 8-10. |
05-20-19 | Warriors -3.5 v. Blazers | 119-117 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 27 m | Show
DMack's Warriors/Blazers Game Four Super Play is on the Golden State Warriors Andre Iguodala is questionable for tonight's game and that is somewhat problematic as he brings so much to the table on both sides of the ball. Damian Lillard has rib problems and will not be 100% but in all honesty has not be been much of a factor in the series to this point in any case. Portland is in a hole that they cannot dig out of and it won't take much to break their will. Golden State has some urgency here to win as that it will give them a full nine days off to get healthy while the Bucks and Raptors slug it out. In the last 31 games that GSW has played with Durant out and Steph running the show, the Warriors are 30-1 straight up. At -150, Golden State should be a real consideration money line. In either case, Golden State is still the play. |
05-19-19 | Bucks +2.5 v. Raptors | 112-118 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 60 m | Show
DMack's Buck/Raptors Game III Super Play is on the Milwaukee Bucks Much like you saw with Portland last night, the Raptors are a beaten dog and have already made tee times for next weekend The Barney's had Game I in their back pocket and gave it away and their performance in Game II was inevitable. Expect De Ja Vu all over again here. Toronto comes out with a lot of urgency and and comes out with a high intensity 18 minutes. The Bucks weather the storm and shake off that first punch in the face and keep it close to the half. Milwaukee wins the second half 58-44 to win by 10 and YOU go to the window with a smile. You're backing best ATS team in the NBA by a mile. Just do it. |
05-18-19 | Warriors +2.5 v. Blazers | 110-99 | Win | 100 | 15 h 37 m | Show
DMack's Warriors/Blazers Game III Super Play is on Golden State Much like we saw with the Raptors last night, it's hard to see Portland bouncing back here after giving Game II away on Friday. A split would have been huge for the Rose City who must now beat Golden State 4-of-5 to move on. It ain't happening and ain't happening tonight against a Warrior team that won a championship before KD got there and really hasn't missed a beat without him. Wub bench has really stepped up and that allows Curry and Thompson to get their open, spot-up, looks. Golden State straight up by eight. |
05-17-19 | Raptors v. Bucks -6.5 | 103-125 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show
DMack's Raptors/Bucks ECF Game of the Year is on the Milwaukee Bucks Fair is fair and if you had the Raptors in Game One, that was about as tough a beat as you can possibly get. The Barney's led by 10 at half and through most of the second half before a 10-0 Milwaukee run to end the game got the win and cover. What did we learn ??? Kahwi was exhausted and nothing left in the tank after the tough series against the 76ers. Milwaukee simply stayed the course and won by margin despite nobody on the team other than Brook Lopez having a good game. Have to think that the Bucks will be sharper here and that there won't be much Toronto can do to stop it. Shop around and lay the points. |

DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Milwaukee Bucks YES !!! Fear the Deer. Milwaukee has walked through two opponents while the Raptors have been life and death at times and really have Kawhi to thank for surviving this long. A one-man gang just won't do it against Freak and Co. and now we are getting down right to it. The Bucks have made a habit of extending late and twisting the knife and stepping on necks when they've got you down. The best you can hope for when you represent at the window. Lay it. |
05-14-19 | Blazers +7.5 v. Warriors | 94-116 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 14 m | Show
DMack's Blazers/Warriors Game One Super Play is on the Portland Trailblazers Durant out tonight and likely for Game Two also. Like the Dog and the points for the simple reason that the Blazers should be loose and ready to go as they are ultra-confident and playing on house money. Denver had not lost a game that they had led going into the fourth quarter at home until Sunday as the Blazers stormed back from 17 down. Golden State rode a big second half from Steph and might not have the same urgency here. Portland has own four the last six in the series so why would they back down here. Four points decides this either way. |
05-12-19 | 76ers +6.5 v. Raptors | 90-92 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show
DMack's 76ers/Raptors Game Seven Super Play is on the Philadelphia 76ers This has been a tough series to figure as neither team has made a concerted effort to show up in every game. The 76ers would appear to be all in with their top notch starting five and the Raptors MUST advance here if they have any hope (which is slim to none to begin with) of re-signing Kahwi Leonard. Again, win or go home with no excuses, expect Ben Simmons and J.J. Reddick to bring their AAA games here and when it's all said and done, Philly, top to bottom first seven players is the better team. The 76ers "Put Up" here and win straight up. |
05-12-19 | Blazers +5.5 v. Nuggets | 100-96 | Win | 100 | 4 h 11 m | Show
Mack Attack Blazers/Nuggets Game Seven Super Play is on the Portland Trailblazers It's win or go home in both games today and in this spot, I really like the dog. IMO, Portland has the best two players on the floor in Lillard and McCollum and if they perform they way they did in Game ix when they combined for 62 points, Portland is going to have a big chance to win this game straight up. The Nuggets are home and the Pepsi Center is a tough venue but IMO, it's just not Denver's time. Looking for Lillard to get involved early on and for Portland to leave it on the floor from the git go. Portland 113-109. |
04-30-19 | Rockets +5.5 v. Warriors | 109-115 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 53 m | Show
DMack's Rockets/Warriors Game Two Super Play is on the Houston Rockets The Rockets were pretty much jobbed in Game One and have pretty much whined themselves several makeups which should at minimum keep them under the number. Neither team was great in Game One which is a concern but the urgency is also completely with Houston here as they pretty much need a split to have any chance against the Wubs. Big effort from the front court and reserves as opposed to Paul/Harden gets it done for the visitors. Houston 122-119. |
04-30-19 | Celtics +7.5 v. Bucks | 102-123 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 45 m | Show
DMack's Celtics/Bucks Game Two Super Play is on the Boston Celtics We used Boston in Game One and came away with an easy 20-point straight up winner that was pretty much wire-to-wire. The Celts have seemingly flicked the switch and in Game One, Horford was terrific but the rest of the Leprechauns were very ordinary. Give the Bucks a mulligan if you want but this is not their best matchup and Giannis can only do so much. Boston 108-105. |
04-29-19 | Blazers +4 v. Nuggets | Top | 113-121 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 4 m | Show |
DMack's NBA Playoff Play of the the Day is on the Portland Trailblazers The Nuggets were life and death to beat the Spurs in Game Seven at home and maybe Denver's big regular season is translating away to a "year away" type series here. Portland will always have the best man on the floor in Damian Lillard and the gutsy PG out of Weber State is getting enough from his surrounding cast that it has me on the Blazers for the series. This will look like the Celtics in Milwaukee last night. Portland 114-103. |
04-28-19 | Celtics +7.5 v. Bucks | 112-90 | Win | 100 | 3 h 33 m | Show
DMack's Celtics/Bucks Game One Super Play is on the Boston Celtics The home team is 9-1 L10 straight up in this series and seeing that that there has been 43 NBA playoff games to this point and that the spread has come into play just four times, your first look night be at the homestanding Bucks. That said, Boston is the team that appears to have flicked the switch for the playoff and last year's Eastern Conference finals runner-up is playing it's best basketball of the season. The Celts are experience and match up well. The 7.5 points is just impossible to ignore and Boston could win this game straight up. |
04-27-19 | 76ers +6.5 v. Raptors | 95-108 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 55 m | Show
DMack's 76ers/Raptors Game One Super Play is on the 76ers Neither team expended much energy in winning their first round series and should be well rested and ready to go. The Raptors first game series woes are well documented and they'll be up against it here against a 76ers outfit that has to get off to a fast start to have any hope in this series. Philadelphia is sure to come with it's best effort here. Can Toronto survive that first punch in the mouth ??? Not 6.5 points worth. Very aware that the spread did not come into play much in the first round but thinking the Sixers have a big shot to win this straight up. |
04-24-19 | Jazz v. Rockets -8 | 93-100 | Loss | -111 | 8 h 54 m | Show
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Houston Rockets The Jazz played PERECT 1st, 2nd, and 4th quarters in Game IV to prolong the agony another night. Houston has won seven straight home games, covering the number in six of them. James Harden was just 11-39 in Salt Lake and he will remedy that tonight. With Golden State likely to punch it's ticket just two hours after this one, expect the Rockets to be all business here and win this comfortably by 20+ points. |
04-23-19 | Thunder v. Blazers -4 | 115-118 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 45 m | Show
DMack's NBA Play of the Day is on the Portland Trailblazers We used Portland in Game Four and came away with an easy straight up winner. When you get down to it, the Thunder can't shoot a lick from the outside and Damian Lillard consistently outplays Russ, game in and game out, no matter how much smack Russ has to say. The Thunder have not won a playoff series since Kevin Durant went to Golden State and are in fact just 4-12 straight up in playoff games without him. Portland closes this one out in fives games and in much easier fashion than you would think. Blazers by double-digits. |
04-22-19 | Rockets -2.5 v. Jazz | 91-107 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 0 m | Show
DMack's Rockets/Jazz Game Four Super Play is on the Houston Rockets We used the Rockets as Round One Game of the Year two nights ago and were rewarded with a straight up dog winner despite Jame Harden missing his first 15 shots and not registering his first FG until the fourth quarter. This is just a terrible matchup for the Jazz who are now 1-5 SU and ATS at in the last six games of this series. Houston has won and covered 9 of its L10 games and has just beaten Utah like a drum the last three games. Just don't foresee Utah prolonging their agony and don't see Houston allowing it to happen. Houston 120-106. |
04-21-19 | Blazers +5.5 v. Thunder | 111-98 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show
DMack's Blazers/Thunder Sunday Super Play is on the Portland Trailblazers Quick .. what in the OKC's straight up record in the playoffs since Kevin Durant left ??? It's 4-10 including the Thurder's Game III win. Giving the Blazers a mulligan for that and call for them to win straight up here behind one of the three most underrated players in the league, Damian Lillard. OKC can't shoot a lick from the outside and it's not for lack of trying. They'll do the same here and the result will deviate back towards the norm as the Blazers win 113-108. |

DMack's Warriors/Clippers Holiday Super Play is on the Golden State Warriors Golden State has lead the half by 13+ in all three games, never scored less than 121 in any of those three games, and led by 31 in the third quarter of the game they ultimately lost. The Clippers play hard or Doc and play an exciting brand of basketball but in the end, this is a team that was fortunate to make the playoffs and in every sense an overachiever. The Clippers are 3-10 L10 ATS in the series and 3-10 ATS against all comers at the Clip joint. GSW puts the hammer down. |

DMack's NBA Playoff Opening Round Game of the Year is on the Houston Rockets Any way you want to cap this game, the Rockets are just a horrible matchup for the Jazz. Houston has won 9 of the last 12 in the series and has won and covered three of the last four here, the final regular season between the two here by 28 points. Houston smoked the Jazz in the first two games in Texas, winning by 32 and 20 points after leading by 16 and 20 at the half and cruising the rest of the way. The Rockets look to be all business this year and we'll get that type of effort here. Rockets straight up, 118-104. |
04-20-19 | Bucks -8.5 v. Pistons | 119-103 | Win | 100 | 10 h 0 m | Show
DMack's Saturday Night NBA Printin' Money is on the Milwaukee Bucks The Pistons have played hard but are just completely outmatched by the Bucks despite Milwaukee's multiple injuries. Blake Griffin or not, the Pistons just don't have the firepower to keep up with the books and lack the defensive stopper to even slow Giannis down. One of the reasons Mike Budenholzer was such a great hire is that he'll have his team focused and ready to go despite winning the first two games by 35 and 21 points. Milwaukee has the game spread covered at the half and never looks back. |
04-20-19 | Nuggets v. Spurs -3.5 | 117-103 | Loss | -106 | 7 h 9 m | Show
DMack's Saturday Night Under-the Radar Special is on the San Antonio Spurs Coming right back with the Spurs who were 119-109 winners in Game III. This is certainly a different Spurs/Pop team than we are used to but the keyword there was Pop who has been here and done that so many times before. The Nuggs have crashed and burned down the stretch and are just 1-6 ATS in their L7 road games. Alamo City is not an easy place to play. Spurs by 10. |

Mack Attack NBA Playoff Play of the Day is on the Boston Celtics Indiana has done about as well as can be expected without their hear and soul, Victor Oladipo. The Pacers current lineup has translated well to the Chicago Bulls and Knicks of the world but they have not been able to hang with the better teams like the Celtics, even when Boston is not at the top of its game. Game One was close early before Celts pulled away for double-digit win and cover. This one is a wire-to-wire beat down to eliminate any thoughts in the Pacer's minds that they are still in this series. |
04-15-19 | Nets +8 v. 76ers | 123-145 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 5 m | Show
DMack's NBA Playoff Play of the Day is on the Brooklyn Nets Saturday, three road dogs won straight up including Brooklyn as the 76ers demonstrated some serious dysfunction on and off the court. Joel Embiid is a game time decision with a sore knee and his absence would be huge not only to the chances of a Philly cover but also regarding a straight up win. The Nets already have their road split and will be on a free roll here but have demonstrated throughout the season that they fear nothing and just roll the ball out and see what happens. The calling for a second straight up win by the Nets here at a pretty healthy money line. Nets 118-114. |
04-14-19 | Pistons v. Bucks -12.5 | 86-121 | Win | 100 | 8 h 39 m | Show
DMack's NBA Playoff Play of the Day is on the Milwaukee Bucks The Pistons limped into the playoffs, are in for just the second time in 10 years, and haven't won a series since 2008. That said, there is the matter of these big points and the Bucks are dealing with multiple injuries. Gonna lay it here thinking that Milwaukee will jacked up here and know that they've eight of the last 10 in the series. The Freak will be in high gear and the rest of the team should feed off of that energy as the Bucks send a message to Motown in Game One. |

DMack's MLB Play of th Day is on the Mets Run-Line (deGrom Listd) Jacob deGrom has without question been the nest pitcher on baseball the past 18 months and the though you pay he price, this year you have a Met offense that can hit some (7-2 over in nine games) and give this guy some much needed support. deGrom 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA continues to roll through history making run of starts while allowing three or less runs. He's never faced the Twins but opposite number Gibson has been throwing batting practice to opposing teams in two starts. |

04-08-19 | Texas Tech +1.5 v. Virginia | 77-85 | Loss | -106 | 33 h 58 m | Show
DMack's National Championship Game Super Play is on the Texas Tech Red Raiders An intriguing matchup. Virginia is is 17-0 outside the ACC and was beaten by Duke twice. The Red Raiders are 17-1 outside the Big 12 and that loss was to Duke early on a neutral court. Both teams play great defense that challenge every shot. In the end, really like the relentless pressure of Texas Tech who also have better alternatives to score. Virginia has had a foot on a banana peel all year and in all honesty, should not be playing this game. Nice season for the Cavs after last year's Baltimore Maryland County debacle but .... the clock strikes midnight here and Texas Tech wins the National Championship 64-55. |
04-06-19 | Texas Tech +2.5 v. Michigan State | 61-51 | Win | 100 | 10 h 9 m | Show
DMack's Final Four Super Play is on the Texas Tech Red Raiders Texas Tech is 13-1 L14 and Michigan State is 14-1 L15 so something is going to have to give here. This is the first time a No.2 has played a No.3 since 2004. Very little separates these two teams which rely primarily on defense and quality shots. As great is Tom Izzo is, he's only 2-5 in this round. Beard has done an amazing job having lot all five starters from last year's Elite Eight team to getting to the Final Four with all new faces. In the end, I've always liked the team playing with house money and that would be Tech here. The Raider's suffocating challenge everything defense and Sparty's inability to get points will be the difference ... Texas Tech straight up. |

04-03-19 | South Florida v. DePaul -5.5 | 96-100 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 13 m | Show
DMack's CBI Game Two Super Play winner is on the DePaul Blue Devils The CBI is a best-of-three final so USF leads 1-0 by virtue of the Bulls 63-61 win in Tampa on Monday. That said, this tournament has been very home team sided. The three finals prior to this one, all went three game with the home team going 9-0 straight up and 7-1-1 ATS against the spread. That would make the numbers 10-0 and (8-1-1/7-1-2) ATS over the last 10 games. South Florida blew an 11-point lead in Game One and held on but face a DePaul outfit here that is very tough at home, winning five straight and were a handful in Big East competition. The Blue Demons averaged 96 ppg. in three prior CBI game before getting a cooler in Florida. DePaul dictates tempo here and shoot the ball to win by double-digits and force a Game III. Lay it. |

04-02-19 | Wichita State +1 v. Lipscomb | Top | 64-71 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 28 m | Show |
DMack's Wichita/Lipscomb NIT Super Play is in the Wichita State Shockers Lipscomb has to be fird up about playing in New York in front of a national television audience. The Bison are no jokes owning wins over TCU and NC State. They also lost at Louisville by just four so this team can play. Wichita State flipped the switch after 8-11 start to salvage what was supposed to be a rebuilding year. The Shockers are 14-3 down the stretch and all their wins to get here were true road games. Witchy is also ride a hot player in senior McDuffie who will be best on the floor and that means something in a pick 'em. Wichita State 78-70. |

03-31-19 | Auburn v. Kentucky -4.5 | 77-71 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 19 m | Show
DMack's Great Eight Game of the Year is on the Kentucky Wildcats Auburn lost both games to Kentucky during the year, strangely enough, by two in Lexington and by 27 on their home floor. The Tigers have won 11 straight since and roared through the SEC tournament and to this point of the Big Dance. Auburn will be without Okeke with the torn ACL which hurts as the matchup is not good to begin with. UK has been at less than 100% but is grinding people down late. Kentucky is 19-2 L21 in the series and won twice this year with a basically all freshman lineup. Matchup screams Kentucky. |
