06-25-22 | Astros v. Yankees UNDER 8 | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 3 h 43 m | Show
The two best AL teams continue their four game set today in New York. They have split the first two games with the Yankees winning on Thursday, 7-6 and the Astros on Friday, 3-1. Cristian Javier will start for the Astros today with a 4-3 record in his nine starts and a 3.86 ERA. He's been good over his last six starts, allowing two runs or fewer in five of those outings. The Yankees hold a comfortable lead in the AL East with a 52-19 record and 11.5-game lead over the Blue Jays. Gerrit Cole gets the start today for the Yankees. Cole is 6-1 in his 14 starts with a 3.14 ERA. Cole has allowed one run or no runs in three of his last four starts. Looks to be a very good pitcher's duel today. I'll take the UNDER. |

06-24-22 | Phillies -122 v. Padres | 0-1 | Loss | -122 | 9 h 46 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies opened their four game set with the Padres by winning on Thursday, 6-2. That snapped a Phillies three-game losing streak. The Phillies will have Aaron Nola on the hill tonight with a 4-4 record in his 14 starts and a 3.11 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 2-3 record in seven starts and a 2.25 ERA. Nola has allowed just two total runs over his last three starts (22 Innings). The San Diego Padres are 1/2 game back of the Dodgers in the NL West. Mackenzie Gore will start for the Padres tonight. Gore is 4-3 in his 10 starts with a 3.86 ERA. Gore has been hard in his last two starts, allowing 14 runs and 14 hits over his last 6 2/3 innings. I'll take the road team here tonight. Play Philadelphia. |
06-24-22 | Red Sox -118 v. Guardians | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 16 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox look for their fifth straight win as they had to Cleveland tonight for a three-game series. The Red Sox are still way back of the Yankees in the AL East. However, they are just a half game from second place. Nick Pivetta will start today for the Sox with a 7-5 mark in his 14 starts and a 3.31 ERA. He's pitched well of late, allowing two total runs in three of those four starts. The Cleveland Guardians are have closed to within three-games of first place Minnesota. Cal Quantrill will start today for the Guardians. Quantrill is 4-4 in his 12 starts with a 3.77 ERA. Quantrill got hit hard last start, allowing five runs and 10 hits over five innings. I'll take the Red Sox here today. |
06-24-22 | Mets v. Marlins UNDER 7 | 5-3 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 45 m | Show
All of a sudden the NY Mets have to look over their shoulder because here comes Atlanta. The Braves have shaved the lead in the NL East to 4-games. It doesn't help their cause that the Mets have lost two straight games. Now they open a three-game series at Miami. The Mets will start Taijuan Walker today. Walker is 5-2 in his 11 starts with a 2.88 ET. Walker has been very good in his last two starts, allowing two total runs over 12 2/3 innings with 19 KO's and just two walks. Meanwhile Miami has won three straight games and will send their best pitcher to the hill in Sandy Alcantara. Alcantara is 7-2 in his 14 starts with a 1.72 ERA and an even better 1.36 home ERA. How consistent has he been? How about allowing two runs or fewer in 13 of his 14 starts this season. This looks like a dead under play to me today. |
06-23-22 | Phillies v. Padres -145 | Top | 6-2 | Loss | -145 | 11 h 48 m | Show |
The Philadelphia Phillies open their series tonight with the Padres after losing three straight games. They were also outscored in those games, 5-20. The Phils are now just two games above the .500 mark at 36-34, 8.5-games back of the Mets. Ranger Suarez will start today for the Phillies. Suaraz is 5-4 in his 13 starts with a 4.43 ERA. The Padres remained two-games in first in the NL West after winning three games in a row. The Padres Ace so far will get the start tonight in Joe Musgrove. Musgrove is 8-0 in his 12 starts with a 1.59 ERA. He has allowed just two runs over his last three starts (21 innings). In fact, in all 12 starts this year Musgrove has allowed two runs or fewer. Another great spot for Musgrove to work toward that NL Cy Young tonight. Play The Padres. |
06-23-22 | Astros v. Yankees UNDER 8 | 6-7 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 59 m | Show
A possible preview of the AL Championship series here tonight as the 1st place AL West Houston Astros take on the 1st place AL East Ny Yankees. This is a four game series and both teams have been hot. The Astros have won three straight games and six of their last seven. Framber Valdez starts tonight for the Astros with a 7-3 record and 2.78 ERA. HE's been great on the road with a 4-1 record in his seven away starts and a 1.61 ERA. Valdez has just one start this year where he allowed more than three runs in a game and that was way back on April 19th. The Yankees have won 11 of their last 13 games. Jameson Taillon will start tonight. Taillon is 8-1 in his 13 starts with a 2.70 ERA. Taillon is coming off a start where he allowed no runs over 5 2/3 inning to Toronto. Both starters are very good and I will take a shot on the UNDER with these pitchers tonight. |
06-22-22 | Tigers v. Red Sox -126 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 8 h 55 m | Show
The Detroit Tigers look to snap their two-game losing streak here today against the Red Sox. The Sox took game one by a 5-2 mark and game two by a 5-4 mark. The Tigers have lost eight of the last 10 games. Tarik Skubal will toe the rubber today for Detroit with a 5-4 record in his 13 starts and a 2.89 ERA. Skubal has been hit pretty hard his last two outings, giving up nine runs over nine innings and losing both games as the Tigers got zero total runs of support for him. Boston continues to move up in the AL East. What once looked like a disaster has now turned into a 38-31 season as they sit in second place in the division, a 1/2 game ahead of Tampa Bay Rays. The Sox have won three straight games and seven of their last nine games. Michael Wacha will start today for the Sox. Wacha is 5-1 in his 11 starts with a 2.28 ERA. He's been even better at home with a 2-1 record in five starts and a 1.03 ERA. I'll take Boston today as they continue to improve on the season. |
06-22-22 | Dodgers v. Reds UNDER 9 | 8-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 25 m | Show
The LA Dodgers have fallen two games back of the Padres in the NL West, thanks to a recent stretch that has seen the team go 4-5 over their last nine games. One of the Dodgers undefeated starters go today in Tyler Anderson who is 7-0 on the season. Anderson has been a shining star in the Dodgers starting rotation. He has a 2.90 overall ERA and 1.000 WHIP. He has allowed two runs or fewer in five of his last six starts and the team has won all six of his last starts. The Reds had that horrendous start to the season and now are in another losing streak, five games now. Luis Castillo will try and get the team a "W" today with a 2-4 overall record in his eight starts. Castillo has a 3.33 ERA but slightly higher 4.50 ERA at home. Castillo has very consistent, allowing three runs or f fewer in every start this year. I like these pitchers to keep the score low tonight. Play the UNDER. |
06-22-22 | Blue Jays -110 v. White Sox | Top | 9-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 54 m | Show |
The Toronto Blue Jays look to salvage game three of this series finale with the White Sox here today. The Jays have lost the first two games, each by a run, 7-8 on Monday and 6-7 on Tuesday. Ross Stripling will look to change that here today. Stripling is 2-2 in his eight starts with a 3.03 ERA. He's been excellent of late, allowing just two runs over his last three starts (14 2/3 innings). The White Sox and Guardians both making moves in the AL Central on what looked like a Twins runaway. The Sox are at .500 with a 33-33 record after winning six of their last eight games. Lucas Giolito will start today with a 4-3 record in his 11 starts and a 4.78 ERA. Giolito got roughed-up in his last start, allowing seven hits and eight runs over five innings of work. That makes 14 runs allowed over his last three starts (16 innings). I'll take the Jays here today as I look for them to avoid the sweep. |
06-21-22 | Diamondbacks v. Padres UNDER 7 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 9 m | Show
Arizona and San Diego play the second of their three game set here tonight in Southern Cal. The D'backs lost the first game on Monday, 1-4. They will look to Zac Gallen today to get them back on track. Gallen has been very good for the D'backs, going 4-2 in his 12 starts with a 2.91 ERA. He's coming off a seven inning performance vs the Reds where he allowed just two hits and two runs over seven innings. The Padres are in 1st in the NL West, two games ahead of the Dodgers. This despite losing three of their last four games. Sean Manaea will start today with a 3-3 record and 3.95 ERA. Manaea had back-to-back starts that were excellent, allowing just two total runs over 13 innings. Then he hit a snag last time out, allowing five runs over four innings. I look for Manaea to rebound here today as this game goes under. |
06-21-22 | Royals v. Angels UNDER 9 | 12-11 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 15 m | Show
Kansas City won their fourth win over their last five games with the victory over the Angels on Sunday, 6-2. It was their sixth straight game that has gone under the total. Jon Heasley will start today for the Royals with a 1-3 record and a 3.72 ERA. He's been very consistent, allowing three runs or fewer in all seven of his starts this year. The Angels had their three game win streak snapped yesterday by the Royals. They have also been a good under team with four straight games going under and eight of their last nine going under. Reid Detmers will start today for the Angels with a 2-3 record in his 11 starts and a 4.25 ERA. He's been better at home with a 2-2 record in six home starts with a 2.70 ERA. Detrmers had gone 8 2/3 innings with no runs allowed before his last start where he gave up four runs over 3 2/3 innings vs the Dodgers. Both these teams have been such good under plays and now they face each other. I'll take the UNDER. |
06-20-22 | Diamondbacks v. Padres UNDER 7 | 1-4 | Win | 105 | 7 h 15 m | Show
The Arizona Diamondbacks performing much better then many people expected. The D'backs are 32-36 after beating Minnesota on Sunday, 7-1. The have won three of their last four games to inch within that .500 mark. Zach Davies will start today for the D'backs with a 2-3 record and 3.78 ERA. He's pitched very well in recent starts, allowing just three total runs over his last three starts (20 2/3 innings). That includes 20 KO's against just three walks. The San Diego Padres lead the NL West, 1.5-games over the LA Dodgers with the Giants aren't far back. The Padres maintained their hold on the top spots despite being swept in Colorado in three-straight games. Yu Darvish will toe the rubber the today for the Padres. Darvish is 6-3 in his 12 starts with a 3.34 ERA. He's been very good at home, posting a 3-1 record in his five starts with a 1.35 ERA. Darvish has allowed more than two runs in just one of his last five starts. This game looks to be low scoring and I'll be on the UNDER here late tonight. |
06-20-22 | Cardinals +158 v. Brewers | 0-2 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 21 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals have caught the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central as both teams now 38-30. They begin a pivotal four-game set here today in Milwaukee. St Louis will send Miles Mikolas to the hill today. Mikolas is 5-4 in his 13 starts with a 2.62 ERA. He's coming off an excellent start against Pittsburgh, allowing one hit over 8 2/3 innings with no earned runs and just one walk and six KO's. Milwaukee is fresh off their sweep of Cincinnati. They will send Corbin Burnes to the mound today. While Burnes record is just 4-4, he has pitched well overall with a 2.52 ERA. Occasionally this season, Burnes will have some bad outings like he did on June 3 vs the Padres where he allowed five runs over 3 2/3 innings. Both these pitchers have the ability to go out and shut out the other team. However, getting the Cardinals at this nice dog price is too much for me to pass on today. Play St Louis. |
06-20-22 | Yankees v. Rays UNDER 6.5 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 9 m | Show
The NY Yankees finally had their winning streak snapped at nine games in the last 10 and 16 of the last 17 with a loss to Toronto on Sunday, 9-10. Now the Yankees head to Tampa Bay to face the Rays. Gerrit Cole gets the start today for the Yankees with a 6-1 record in his 13 starts. Cole has a 3.33 ERA and is coming off a five hit, no run outing vs the Rays on June 14th where he got the win, 2-0. Cole has not been consistent though, he's had two of his last three games where he allowed no runs but in between he gave up seven runs to the Twins. Tampa Bay lost two of their three games at Baltimore over the weekend. They are now 1-5 in their last six games and 2-7 in their last nine games. Shane McClanahan has been their best starter with a 7-3 record in his 13 starts and a 1.84 ERA. He has allowed two runs or fewer in eight straight starts. He also has excellent control with just eight walks over his last eight starts. This is one pitcher who should be able to keep the big hitting Yankees in check. If Cole pitches like he has in two of his last three outings, this will be a low scoring game. Take the UNDER. |
06-20-22 | Yankees v. Rays +118 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
The NY Yankees finally had their winning streak snapped at nine games in the last 10 and 16 of the last 17 with a loss to Toronto on Sunday, 9-10. I'll take a shot with the live home dog and better pitcher. Take Tampa Bay. |
06-19-22 | Angels v. Mariners -156 | Top | 4-0 | Loss | -156 | 6 h 8 m | Show |
The LA Angels have taken three of the first four games in this series with the Mariners after Saturday's win. 3-0. The Angels are still 8.5 games back of the Astros in the NL West. The Angels will call up Kenny Rosenberg today to get his first start of the season in the majors. He has made one bullpen appearance this year with the Angels. In his five starts at Triple-A Salt Lake, he has a 1.73 ERA. Seattle has two straight games and four of their last five games. The M's best pitcher, Logan Gilbert, gets the start today. Gilbert is 7-2 in his 13 starts with a 2.34 ERA. Gilbert has a big edge for the M's on the hill today. I'll lay the steep price with Seattle and Gilbert. |
06-19-22 | Royals -140 v. A's | 0-4 | Loss | -140 | 6 h 4 m | Show
The Royals looking for the sweep here in Oakland today. KC took the first two games of this series, holding the A's to just one total run. Brady Singer will start today for the Royals with a 3-1 record in his six start and a 3.89 ERA. He has pitched very well in five of his six starts, allowing three runs or fewer. It's just the one start on June 3 vs the Astros where he gave up seven runs over five innings that has hurt his ERA. The Oakland A's continue to flounder, losing their 2nd game in row last night and their 15th loss in their last 17 games. Jared Koenig makes his third start of the season today for Oakland. Koenig is 0-2 with a 11.25 ERA and has yet to go past four innings in either start. He has also allowed four walks against six KO's. Looks like KC will get the sweep here today as Koenig has yet to look very good. Take Kansas City. |
06-19-22 | Rays -134 v. Orioles | 1-2 | Loss | -134 | 4 h 33 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Rays snapped a four game losing streak on Friday with their win over Baltimore, 7-6. The Rays are dropping fast in the AL East, now 13-games back of the Yankees and 2-games back of 2nd place Toronto. Corey Kluber will get the start for the Rays. Kluber is 3-3 in his 12 starts with a 3.50 ERA. He's pitched very well of late, allowing three runs or fewer in each of his last six starts. The Orioles won't be going anywhere this year, but they have played better of late. The O's have won five of their last eight games. Jordan Lyles will start today with a 4-5 record in his 13 starts and a 5.10 ERA. Lyles has been hit pretty hard of late, allowing 14 runs over his last 15 1/3 innings of work. I'll take Tampa Bay here today. |
06-19-22 | Phillies -1.5 v. Nationals | 3-9 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 3 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies look for the 5-game sweep of the Nationals here today after their win on Saturday, 2-1. They have outscored the O's thus far, 25-12. Zach Eflin will get the start today for the Phils. Eflin is 2-4 this season in 11-starts with a 4.28 ERA. He has pitched well in his last three starts, allowing five total runs over 18 innings. Washington is in last in the NL East with a 23.46 record and have lost eight straight games and 11 of their last 13 games. Jackson Tetreault makes his second start of the season after a pretty disastrous one in his first start. Tetreault allowed nine hits an seven runs over four innings vs the Braves. The Phillies should sweep here today and likely in a blowout win. |
06-18-22 | Guardians v. Dodgers UNDER 8.5 | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 6 m | Show
The Guardians and Dodgers continue their series here from Chavez Ravine after the Indians took game one last night, 2-1 as a +230 underdog. Cleveland has slowly been gaining ground on first place Minnesota, now just one game back in the loss column and 3.5-games overall. Cal Quantrill will make the start today for the Guardians. Quantrill is 4-3 in his 11 starts with a 3.38 ERA. He has been very consistent, allowing three runs or fewer in 10 of his 11 starts this season. The Dodgers will counter with Julio Urias, who is 3-6 in his 12 starts this season and a 2.80 ERA. Urias has allowed three total runs over his last two starts (11 1/3 innings) with 14 KO's and three walks. I look for another low scoring game here tonight. Play UNDER. |
06-18-22 | Phillies -1.5 v. Nationals | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 27 m | Show |
The Philadelphia Phillies opened this five game set with the Nationals by taking the first three games, including both ends of yesterday's doubleheader. In fact, they have outscored the Nationals by a 23-11 margin thru the first three games. The Phils will send Aaron Nola to the hill today with a 4-4 record over his 13 starts and a 3.42 ERA. He's been slightly better on the road with a 2-3 record in six starts and a 2.70 ERA. Nola has allowed just two total runs over his last two starts (15 innings) with 12 KO's and no walks. In fact, Nola is one of the best control pitchers in baseball with no walks over his last 29 1/3 innings. The Nats have dropped to 22-games under the .500 mark with a 23-45 record. They have lost seven straight and 10 of their last 12 games. Josiah Gray will get the start today for the Nats. Gray is 6-4 with a 4.33 ERA, though that ERA shoots up to 7.14 in his six home starts. Gray has been very good of late, allowing just two total earned runs over his last three starts (16 innings). However, unlike Nola, he's allowed eight walks over his last 16 innings. Hard to find any reason to back the Nats, though Gray is one pitcher you could make a case for. Still, Philly hitting the ball great and Nola doesn't walk batters and that means his team wins the games for him. I'll take Philly again today on the Run Line. |
06-18-22 | White Sox v. Astros UNDER 8 | 7-0 | Win | 105 | 7 h 1 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox have pulled to withing one game of the .500 mark at 30-31. They still trail 1st place Minnesota by 5-games, but have been closing the gap. The Sox had their three game win streak snapped yesterday with a loss at Houston, 3-13. Johnny Cueto will toe the rubber today for the White Sox. Cueto is 0-3 in his five starts, but has a nice 3.23 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 0-1 mark in three starts and a 1.50 ERA. The Houston Astros are pulling away in the AL West with a 40-24 record after their Friday win. They lead 2nd place LA Angels by 10-games now. The Astros will have their ACE on the hill today in Justin Verlander. Verlander is 8-2 in his 12 starts with a 1.94 overall ERA and 1.65 home ERA. If you throw out that one start where he allowed six runs, then he has allowed four total runs in six of the last seven games. I expect Verlander to keep this score very low here on Saturday. Play the UNDER. |
06-18-22 | Yankees v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 4 h 13 m | Show |
Reason: The Yankees assault on the AL East continues as they have now won eight straight games, including a sweep over AL contender Tampa Bay and an open win over Toronto on Friday, 12-3. Jameson Taillon will start today for the Yankees. Taillon is 7-1 in his 12 starts with a very solid 2.93 ERA. In his 12 starts, Taillon has allowed over three runs just one time and that was a four run outing. Toronto has lost two straight after their loss on Friday night. The Jays are now 11-games back of the Yankees in the AL East. Alek Manoah will start today for the Jays with a 8-1 record in his 12 starts and a 1.67 ERA. Manoah right now looks to be a key contender for a AL Cy Young the way he's pitching. He's allowed no runs over his last two starts (12 innings) and more than two runs just one time all season (3 runs on June 2). This looks to be a great pitching matchup today and I'll be on the UNDER in what looks to be low scoring. |
06-17-22 | Yankees v. Blue Jays UNDER 9.5 | Top | 12-3 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 33 m | Show |
The NY Yankees continue to roll through the NL East, winning seven games in a row after sweeping the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees took the three-game set from the Rays allowing just four total runs in the process. Jordan Montgomery will get the start today for the Yankees. Montgomery is 2-1 in his 12 starts with a 2.70 ERA and 0.975 WHIP. He's been very consistent, allowing two runs or fewer in 10 of his 12 starts and just three runs in the other two starts. The Blue Jays are 37-26 overall, but still trail the Yankees by 10-games in the AL East. Ross Stripling will get the start today. Stripling is 2-1 in his seven starts with a 2.81 ERA. He's also been very good, allowing no runs over his last two starts with just two total hits (11 innings). Both these pitchers should keep this game very low scoring and as such, I'll be on the UNDER today. |
06-17-22 | Phillies -1.5 v. Nationals | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 3 h 30 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies had little issues with the Nationals in game one of their four game series that began on Thursday, beating them 10-1. The Phillies are now 33-31 overall as they try to make up ground on the 1st place Mets. These clubs play a doubleheader here on Friday with this being the early contest. Ranger Suarez will start game one with a 4-4 record in his 12 starts and a 4.40 ERA. He's pitched well of late, allowing two runs in each of his last three starts. The Nationals have lost five straight games as they have dropped to 23-43 and last place in the NL East. Joan Adon will start today and he's had a rough season thus far with a 1-10 record in 12 starts and a 6.95 ERA. He allowed eight runs and seven hits over just three innings in his last start at Miami. I had the Phillies on the Run line yesterday, I see no reason to change that here today. Take the Phillies in game one on the Run Line. |
06-16-22 | Phillies -1.5 v. Nationals | 10-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 4 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies trail the NY Mets in the NL East by 8.5-games as they sit at 32-31 overall. The Phillies won two of their three games vs Miami, including last night's contest 3-1. Today, they hit the road for a series at Washington. Zack Wheeler will get the start for the Phils today. Wheeler is 5-3 in his 11 starts with a 2.84 ERA. He has been very consistent, allowing three runs or fewer in each of his last eight starts. Washington looks to snap a four-game losing streak here today. They have also lost seven of their last nine games. Pat Corbin gets the start with a 3-8 record in his 13 starts and a 6.65 ERA. He's been hit hard, allowing four runs or more in four of his last six starts. I like Philly a lot today, so I'll have to lay the Run Line to get the price down. |
06-16-22 | Padres -1.5 v. Cubs | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 19 m | Show
The Chicago Cubs continue their slide, now at a 9-game losing streak. They play their final game here today at Wrigley against the Padres after dropping the first two games by a combined 10-31 score! In fact, they have allowed 12 runs or more in three of their last four games. Matt Swarmer will make his fourth start of the season here today. Swarmer is 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA. He did allow six runs and seven hits in his last start at the Yankees. The Padres are in 1st place in the NL West, leading the Dodgers now by 1-game with a 40-24 record. In addition, the Padres have the best road record in baseball. Today they get their best pitcher on the hill in Joe Musgrove. Musgrove is 7-0 in his 11 starts with a 1.50 ERA. He has allowed just one run over his last four starts (27 innings). I'll lay the run line today with the Padres as they should win another blowout contest with the Cubs. |
06-15-22 | Angels v. Dodgers UNDER 9 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 53 m | Show
The Freeway series begins game one tonight as the LA Dodgers host the LA Angels from Chavez Ravine. Both teams struggling, especially the Angels who have lost two straight and 17 of their last 19 games. The losing streak cost HC Joe Madden his job after 12 straight losses. The Angels will send Reid Detmers to the mount tonight. Detmers is 2-2 in his 10 starts with a 3.83 ERA. Detmers has been very good of late, allowing no runs over his last 8 2/3 Innings. The Dodgers fell out of first place by virtue of a 3-6 stretch their last nine games. One of their better pitchers will take the mound tonight in Tyler Anderson. Anderson is 6-0 in his nine starts with a 3.20 ERA. Anderson has been a bright spot for a Dodgers rotation that has been struggling with injuries this year. I'm going to take the UNDER here tonight in game one of the Freeway series. |

06-15-22 | Rays +130 v. Yankees | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 47 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Rays can make up some ground in the AL East over the 1st place Yankees as they begin a 3-game series here tonight in New York. The Rays are 35-26, but still trail NY by 10-games. They also have to think about Wild Card too at this point and they trail 2nd place Toronto by just 1-game. The Rays most successful pitcher will go today in Shane McClanahan who is 7-2 in his 12 starts with a nifty 1.87 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 2-1 record in his three starts and a 1.47 ERA. McClanahan has won five straight starts! The Yankees bring a 5-game win streak into tonight's contest. New York will start Nestor Cortes who is 5-2 in his 11 starts with a 1.96 ERA. Cortes had one of his worst starts last time out, allowing seven hits and four runs over 4 1/3 innings to the Twins in a loss. Good live dog here today with the Rays who should be motivated to get this win with their best on the hill Play Tampa Bay. |
06-15-22 | Reds v. Diamondbacks UNDER 8.5 | 4-7 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 23 m | Show
The Cincinnati Reds look to extend their modest win streak to four games here tonight by sweeping the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Reds have taken the first two games of this series 5-4 and then last night 5-3. Luis Castillo will take to the hill for the Reds with a 2-4 record in his seven starts and a 3.23 ERA. Castillo has been very consistent for the Reds, allowing three runs or fewer in six of his seven starts. Arizona has lost two straight and eight of their last 11 games. Zac Gallen has been very good this year with a 4-2 record in his 11 starts and a 2.95 ERA. He's been better at home with a 2-0 record in his six starts and a 2.57 ERA. Both pitchers are very good and I expect a low scoring game here this evening. Play UNDER. |
06-14-22 | Padres -128 v. Cubs | 12-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 58 m | Show
The Padres have pulled back to a tied in 1st place in the NL West with the LA Dodgers. The Padres have won seven of their last 10 while the Dodgers are just 4-6 during the same span. The Padres still boast the best road record in baseball with a 21-11 mark. Sean Manaea will toe the rubber today for the Padres with a 3-3 record in his 11 starts and a 3.52 ERA. Manaea has been very good of late, allowing just two total runs over his last two starts (13 innings). The Cubs have been in free fall, losing seven straight games to drop to 23-37 on the season. Kyle Hendricks will start today for the Cubs with a 2-5 record in his 11 starts and a 5.22 ERA. Hendricks not having near the kind of season we are used to seeing from him in recent years. I'll be on the Padres today again. |
06-14-22 | Marlins v. Phillies -141 | Top | 11-9 | Loss | -141 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
The Miami Marlins look to snap a recent 2-game losing streak here today in game two of their set with the Phillies. They lost on Monday with their best pitcher on the mound, 2-3. Now they will send Trevor Rogers to the hill today. Rogers is 3-5 in his 11 starts with a 5.58 ERA. He's allowed seven earned runs over his last 8 2/3 innings of work. The Philadelphia Phillies finally got back over the .500 mark as they have won as they have won 10 of their last 11 games. Zach Eflin is just 2-4 with a 4.09 ERA but has won his last two starts with just one earned run allowed over 12 innings. Eflin has been very good at home too, going 2-1 in his five starts with a 1.16 ERA. I'll take the hot Phils today with a equally hot Eflin on the hill. |
06-13-22 | Marlins +120 v. Phillies | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 55 m | Show
The Miami Marlins had their five game win streak snapped on Sunday by the Houston Astros, 9-4. The Marlins have improved to 27-31 in the NL East, still way behind the NY Mets. One of, it not the best, pitcher for the Marlins goes today in Sandy Alcantara. Alcantara is 6-2 in his 12 starts this year with a very good 1.61 ERA and 0.944 WHIP. Alcantara has not allowed a run over his last two starts (16 innings) and just three runs over his last six starts. The Phillies dropped back to the .500 mark with a loss on Sunday. They are still 9-games back of the Mets in the NL East. That loss on Sunday snapped a nine-game win streak for the Phillies. Aaron Nola will start today with a 4-4 record in his 12 starts and a 3.50 ERA. Nola rebounded from a poor 5-run performance vs the Giants with a nice eight inning, no runs outing vs the Brewers last start. I like Alcantara, he's very consistent and very good. Play Miami. |
06-12-22 | Marlins v. Astros UNDER 7.5 | 4-9 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 4 m | Show
The Miami Marlins have quietly built a five-game winning streak as they look to take the sweep on the road here today at Houston. They beat the Astros in game one, 7-4 and then again yesterday in game two, 5-1. Edward Cabrera will look to win again today after going 2-0 in his first two starts. Cabrera has a 0.75 ERA and 0.750 WHIP and has allowed just one earned run over his 12 innings of work. Cabrera and the Marlins will have their work cut out for them today against former Cy Young winner Justin Verlander. Verlander is 7-2 on the season with a 2.13 ERA and. 0.84 WHIP. Verlander had that one bad start on May 27th, allowing six runs and 10 hits over 6 innings to the Mariners. Other than that he has not allowed more than three runs in any of his other 10 starts. I look for this to be a low scoring game today and with that I'll be on the UNDER. |
06-12-22 | Orioles v. Royals OVER 9.5 | 10-7 | Win | 100 | 3 h 17 m | Show
Baltimore and Kansas City wrap up their four-game set here today with the Royals having won the first two games and the Orioles the game on Saturday, 6-4. Two of the three games of the series have gone over with the third just missing by one run. Dean Kremer will make his second start of the season here today for the O's. Kremer allowed five hits and three runs over 4 1/3 innings in his first game against Cleveland. The Royals will start Brad Keller here today. Keller is 1-7 in his 11 starts with a 4.18 ERA. Keller hasn't been very good, allowing three runs or more in each of his last six starts. I like this game to go OVER here today. |
06-12-22 | Rays -113 v. Twins | Top | 6-0 | Win | 100 | 5 h 3 m | Show |
The Tampa Bay Rays have lost the first two games of this series with the Twins, 4-9 on Friday and 5-6 on Sunday. That drops them to 34-25 overall and a 1/2 game back of the Blue Jays for 2nd in the AL East. Before the two losses, the Rays had won six of the previous eight games. Jeffrey Springs will get the start today with a 1-2 record in his seven starts. Springs has a very nifty 2.12 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. He's allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last six starts since his opening start of three runs. Minnesota will look to Cole Sands to help them take the sweep here today. That might be a tough task though since Sands only has two starts and neither was any good. He allowed four runs over four innings to the Tigers and four runs over 3 2/3 innings to the Yankees for a 9.39 ERA. In addition, his WHIP is a very high 2.477. Tampa Bay is too good with too good of a pitcher today to get swept. Take Tampa Bay. |
06-12-22 | Blue Jays v. Tigers +124 | 6-0 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 33 m | Show
The Toronto Blue Jays are 10-games above the .500 mark at 34-24, however they still trail the NY Yankees in the AL East by 8.5 games. They will need a winning streak if they hope to get back close to the Yankees by the All-Star break. They have split the first two games with the Tigers, taking game one, 10-1, and then losing last night 1-3. Ross Stripling will get the start today for the Jays. Stripling is 1-1 in his six starts with a 3.46 ERA. Stripling has been good, but aslo has hit some rough patches. While the Tigers are 10-games under .500 with a 24-34 record, they might be one of the scrappiest teams in baseball. They have won three of their last four games including last night's win. They have their best pitcher on the mound here today in Tarik Skubal. Skubal is 5-2 in his 11 starts with a 2.06 ERA. The team is 4-1 in his five home starts with a 2.10 ERA. Skubal is going to have his team in the game and a s decent dog price here today, the Tigers are too much to pass on. Play Detroit. |
06-11-22 | Red Sox +117 v. Mariners | 6-7 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 20 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox had their seven game win streak snapped by the Angels on Thursday, 2-5. They came right back on Friday with a win in game one of this series with the Mariners, 4-3. Michael Wacha will start today for the Sox with a 4-1 record in his nine starts and a nifty 1.99 ERA. Wacha has not allowed a run over his last two starts (14 2/3 innings) with nine KO's and just one walk. The dropped to 26-32 with last night's loss to Boston. George Kirby will look to get back to winning ways today. Kirby is 1-1 in his six starts with a 3.38 ERA. I like the way Wacha has pitched over his last few games and I will take the visiting Boston club tonight. |
06-11-22 | Mets -122 v. Angels | Top | 6-11 | Loss | -122 | 20 h 39 m | Show |
The LA Angels snapped their 14-game losing streak by finally beating the Boston Red Sox in the final game of their set on Thursday, 5-2. That win streak was short lived though, as the Angels dropped game one of their series with the Mets on Friday, 7-3. Meanwhile, the Mets have a comfortable lead in the NL East at 39-21 and a 6.5-game lead over 2nd place Atlanta. The Mets will start Carlos Carrasco today who has been very good for the Mets. Carrasco is 7-1 in his 11 games for the Mets with a 3.37 ERA. The Angels will start Michael Lorenzen who is 5-3 in his nine starts and has a 3.69 ERA. Lorenzen has been roughed-up a bit of late, allowing eight runs over his last two starts (13 2/3 innings). I'm sticking with one of the best teams in the NL in the Mets here today against a slumping Angels team. Play New York. |
06-11-22 | A's v. Guardians -109 | 10-5 | Loss | -109 | 14 h 42 m | Show
The Oakland A's slide continues as questions surrounding their move to Las Vegas might gain momentum with attendance below that of even minor league teams. The A's lost to the Guardians on Friday, 2-3, making it 10-straight losses. Frankie Montas will try and get the team back in the win column today. Montas is 2-6 in his 12 starts with a 2.93 ERA. Montas hasn't been quite as good on the road where he is 1-2 in three starts with a 4.15 ERA. The Cleveland Guardians have won three straight games. They have also won nine of their last 11 games. Zach Plesac will start today for the Guardians. Plesac is 2-4 in his 10 starts with a 4.72 ERA. He's been better at home with a 3.10 ERA in his five starts. Even though Montas is the better pitcher, I will stay with Cleveland here today. |
06-10-22 | Marlins v. Astros UNDER 8 | 7-4 | Loss | -115 | 18 h 31 m | Show
Miami won last night in the final game of their set with Washington, 7-4. That meant the Marlins swept Washington in their three game set. Pablo Lopez will start today for the fish with a 4-2 record in his 11 starts. Lopez has a very nice 2.32 ERA and 0.970 WHIP. Lopez has been even better on the road with a 2-1 record in his five starts with a 1.41 ERA. The Astros had Thursday off as they begin 3-game set with Miami. Luis Garcia will toe the rubber today for the Astros. Garcia is 3-4 in his 10 starts with a 3.07 ERA. Garcia has pitched well of late, allowing two runs or fewer in six of his last seven starts. Both pitchers appear to be in a groove right now and for me, I'll be on the UNDER today. Play UNDER. |
06-09-22 | Red Sox +107 v. Angels | 2-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 41 m | Show
The LA Angels are mired in a 14-game losing streak. They thought firing manager Joe Maddon might help after losing 12 in a row. But so far that hasn't done a thing with two more losses. Shoeie Ohtani will look to end the losing streak today. Ohtani is 3-4 in his nine starts this season with a 3.99 ERA. He has allowed nine runs over his last nine innings. Meanwhile, the Boston Red Sox have won seven straight games as they have moved up in the AL East division. Nick Pivetta will toe the rubber today for the Sox with a 5-4 record over his 11 starts and a 3.50 ERA. Pivetta has been very good of late, allowing just one run in his last two starts (13 innings). Moreover, he has allowed one run or no runs in five of his last six starts. Have to keep with the winning team. I don't buck long losing streaks like the Angels have. Play Boston. |
06-09-22 | Phillies +152 v. Brewers | 8-3 | Win | 152 | 2 h 14 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies have been hot, winning six straight games after Wednesday's blowout win over the Brewers, 10-0. The Phils are just two games back of the .500 mark, but still a good 9.5 games back of the Mets in the NL East. Zach Eflin will toe the rubber today for the Phillies with a 2-4 mark in his nine starts and a 4.24 ERA. Eflin coming off his best start of the season, going eight innings vs the Angels, allowing just five hits and no runs for the win. The Brewers look to snap a 5-game losing streak here today. They lost three of four at home to the Padres and now the first two games of this series to the Phillies. The Brewers start Corbin Burnes today who is 3-3 in his 11 starts. Burnes has a 2.50 ERA and slightly higher 3.86 home ERA. Burnes to hit hard in his last start, allowing eight hits and five runs over 3 2/3 innings to the Padres. Phillies a big dog here today and I see them as a live dog with their winning streak. Play Philadelphia. |
06-09-22 | Dodgers -119 v. White Sox | Top | 11-9 | Win | 100 | 2 h 13 m | Show |
The LA Dodgers have a slim 1.5 game lead over the Padres in the NL West. LA has run into some tougher times of late, going 3-6 over their last nine games. Tyler Anderson will get the start for LA today. Anderson has been their most successful starter with a 6-0 record in his eight starts and a 2.64 ERA. Anderson has allowed no runs over his three starts (20 innings). The White Sox still struggling to make it back to the .500 record with a 26-28 record. They had their three game win streak snapped last night by the Dodgers, 1-4. Dylan Cease will start today with a 4-2 record and 3.39 ERA. Cease also has been good of late, allowing no runs over his last two starts (10 innings). I like Anderson as he's looked the best for LA all season. Take the Dodgers. |
06-09-22 | Cardinals +150 v. Rays | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 1 h 13 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals look to salvage one game of this three-game set with the Rays. They have lost the first two games, 2-4 on Tuesday and then 3-11 last night. Miles Mikolas will get the start for St Louis with a 4-3 record in his 11 starts and a 3.01 ERA. He's been slightly better on the road with a 3-1 record and 2.54 ERA. Tampa Bay trying to keep pace with the Yankees in the AL East. They trail the Yankees by 7-games. Shane McClanahan will get the start today with a 6-2 record in his 11 starts and a 2.10 ERA. He's allowed two runs or fewer in his last six starts. Both pitchers are very good as I expect to see a lower scoring game here today. Play UNDER. |
06-09-22 | Cardinals v. Rays UNDER 7 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 1 h 12 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals look to salvage one game of this three-game set with the Rays. Play UNDER. |
06-08-22 | Yankees -1.5 v. Twins | 1-8 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 22 m | Show
Yankees have now won seven straight games, after taking game one of this set from the Twins, 10-4. They actually haven't just won, they have dominated, outscoring their opponents 48-11 during the seven games. Today, they have one of their best, if not their best, on the mound in Nestor Cortes. Cortes is 5-1 in his 10 starts with a 1.50 ERA and 0.867 WHIP. He has been just as good on the road with a 3-1 record and 1.50 ERA. Cortes has allowed one run or fewer in four of his last five starts. The Twins are in 1st in the AL Central, but this is the softest division in baseball as no other team is even over the .500 mark. The Twins have lost five of their last seven games. Christ Archer gets the start today with a 0-2 record in his 10 starts. Archer has a 3.89 ERA overall and a 5.00 home ERA. I see this matchup as a total mismatch. The Yankees are red hot and have a huge advantage in pitching today. I'll lay the Run line with the Yankees. |
06-07-22 | Dodgers v. White Sox +111 | 0-4 | Win | 111 | 7 h 14 m | Show
The LA Dodgers still maintain their NL West 1st place spot, 2.5-games ahead of the San Diego Padres - this despite losing two straight games to the Mets. In fact, the Dodgers have now lost five of their last seven overall. Mitch White will start today for LA with his 0-1 record after three starts. White has a 4.77 ERA and has not gone past the fifth inning yet. Meanwhile the White Sox have won two straight and pulled within 2-games of the .500 mark. Michael Kopech starts today with a 1-2 record in his nine starts and a 2.20 ERA. Other than his last start, Kopech has allowed no runs in three of his previous four starts. I'll take the home dog here in the Sox with a very good starter on the hill. Play Chicago. |
06-07-22 | Yankees -150 v. Twins | 10-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 46 m | Show
A pair of 1st place teams bump heads today as the NL East leading Yankees take on the AL Central leading Minnesota Twins. The Yankees bring a 6-game win streak to Minnesota for the first of a 3-game set. Jameson Taillon will start for the Yankees. He's been one of their best on the hill with a 6-1 record in his 10 starts and a 2.30 ERA. The Twins still aren't sure who they will start and for me it doesn't really matter. I like Taillon a lot and will take him against any of the Twins starters here today. Play New York. |
06-07-22 | Tigers v. Pirates UNDER 7 | 5-3 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 10 m | Show
The Detroit Tigers look to snap a 3-game losing streak as they visit the NL's Pittsburgh Pirates today. The Tigers aren't often a road favorite, but they are today. That is mainly because their winningest pitcher is on the mound in Tarik Skubal. Skubal is 4-2 on the season with a very good 1.84 ERA. Skubak has allowed no runs in four of his last five starts. The Pirates have been doing well of late, winning five of their last six games including a 3-game sweep of the LA Dodgers. Jose Quintana will get the start for the Bucs today. Quintana is 1-2 in his 10 starts with a 2.32 ERA. Both these pitchers are very good and as such, I'll take the UNDER today. |
06-07-22 | Cubs -110 v. Orioles | 3-9 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 10 m | Show
Inter League action today has the Cubs making the trip to Baltimore to take on the Orioles. The Cubs coming off a pair of losses at home to the Cardinals. They look to get back in the win column here today with Keegan Thompson on the hill. Thompson is 3-0 in his four starts with a nifty 2.79 ERA. The Cubs are 4-0 in Keegans starts this year. The Orioles lost their last game on Sunday to the Guardians, 2-3. They have now lost three of their last four games. Kyle Bradish will toe the rubber today for the O's. Bradish is 1-3 in his seven starts with a 6.82 ERA. Neither team very good, but Cubs with a big edge on the hill today. Play Chicago. |
06-06-22 | Red Sox +103 v. Angels | 1-0 | Win | 103 | 8 h 6 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox begin their set at the LA Angles tonight after having swept Oakland and won four straight games. The bats have been firing too, outscoring Oakland 20-4. In addition the Sox have scored 27 runs over their last four games. Michael Wacha will start today for the Sox with a 3-1 record and 2.43 ERA. Wacha has had one bad start, but other than than he's been excellent. The LA Angels have free fallen in the AL West. They are now 8.5 games back of first place Houston after losing their 11th straight game on Sunday. Noah Sydergaard will try and put an end to this losing streak. He's 4-3 on the season with a 4.02 ERA. He's also been on rough times of late, allowing 12 runs over his last three starts (11 innings). I have to stick with Boston here today. Until the Angels win, I'm not bucking their losing streak. Play Boston. |
06-05-22 | Cardinals -127 v. Cubs | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show
Sunday Night baseball on ESPN has this storied rivalry as the Cubs host the Cardinals. St Louis has won the first two of three in this series as the worse they can do today is a split. The Cards won on Satuday, 7-4. They have outscored the Cubs in the series 22-15. Adam Wainwright starts today for the Cardinals. He's 5-4 in his 10 starts this season with a 2.75 ERA. He has allowed just six runs over his last four starts (32 innings). The Cubs are 23-31 in the NL Central, 9.5 games back of the Brewers. Justin Steele starts today with a 1-5 record in his 10 starts. Steele has a 5.40 ERA and has allowed 10 runs over his last two starts (seven innings). Wainwright pitching too well to go against him and the Cards today. Play St Louis. |
06-05-22 | Mariners v. Rangers -125 | 6-5 | Loss | -125 | 3 h 46 m | Show
The Seattle Mariners saw a modest two game win streak snapped last night by the Rangers, 2-3. The teams have split the first two games of the series with Seattle winning game one, 4-3. Today's rubber game has George Kirby starting for the M's. Kirby is 1-1 in his five starts with a 3.46 ERA. The Rangers are so close to that .500 mark as they sit at 25-27 overall. Martin Perez looks to get them one game closer today. Perez is 4-2 on the season with a 1.42 ERA and 0.932 Whip. Perez has been amazing for the Rangers, allowing one run or no runs in each of his last eight starts. I like Perez a lot here today. Take the Rangers. |
06-05-22 | Astros -1.5 v. Royals | 7-4 | Win | 100 | 2 h 20 m | Show
The Houston Astros sit comfortably in 1st in the AL West, 6.5 games ahead of the LA Angels. Still, it's hard to accept a 0-6 loss to the lowly Royals as they did last night. Today is the rubber game of the series and the Astros won't want to let this series go down. Framber Valdez starts today with a 5-2 record in his 10 starts. Valdez has a nice 2.57 ERA and better 1.40 road ERA this season. He has allowed one run in three of his last four starts. Moreover, he's allowed no more than three runs in nine of his 10 starts this season. The Royals are in last in the AL Central with a 17-34 record. They have lost five of their last six games. Jon Heasley will start today. Heasley is 0-2 in his four starts with a 4.66 ERA and 5.40 home ERA. While Heasley hasn't been bad, don't think he has enough to take this series from the 1st place Astros. Lay the Run line with Houston. |
06-05-22 | Angels v. Phillies -118 | 7-9 | Win | 100 | 2 h 46 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies look for the sweep today over the LA Angels in this lone Inter League matchup. The Phillies have pounded the Angels too, winning by a combined 17-2 in the two games. Kyle Gibson starts today for the Phils. Gibson is 3-2 in his 10 starts with a 3.83 ERA. Gibson has been very consistent of late, allowing just two runs in each of his last three starts. The Angels are in second place in the AL West, but still a good 5.5 games back of Houston. The Angels have been in a big hitting slump of late, scoring just five runs in the last five games (ALL LOSSES). Patrick Sandoval looks to right the ship today. Sandoval is 3-1 in his eight starts with a 2.70 ERA. However Sandoval coming off one of his worst starts last time out, allowing five hits and six runs over just three innings to Toronto. Gibson has been pitching well for the Phils and LA in a losing streak. I'll take Philly to sweep today. |
06-05-22 | Tigers v. Yankees -1.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -135 | 1 h 11 m | Show
The Yankees have heated up again, now winning five straight games as they look for the sweep over Detroit today. They took both games in big fashion, shutting out the Tigers in game one 13-0 and again in game two, 3-0. Jordan Montgomery will start today with a 1-1 record in his 10 starts and a 3.04 ERA. He's been very consistent, allowing three runs or fewer in each of his 10 starts. The Tigers will have to find some offense today if they look to avoid the sweep. Rony Garcia will be on the hill and he looks to be more cannon fodder for the Bronx Bombers. Garcia is 0-1 in his two starts with a 8.00 ERA. The only good thing, he's struck out 12 and walked just three. I look for another lopsided Yankees win here today. I'll lay the Run Line with New York. |
06-04-22 | Guardians v. Orioles UNDER 8 | 4-5 | Loss | -109 | 5 h 44 m | Show
The Cleveland Guardians look to win their fifth in a row today and finally climb back to the .500 mark with a win. They beat the Orioles in game one of this set on Friday, 6-3. They have outscored opponents 25-9 during their four game win streak. Triston McKenzie will start today for the Guardians. McKenzie is 3-3 with a 2.44 ERA. He's pitched very consistently, allowing two runs or fewer in four of his last five starts. The Orioles have lost three of their last four games. Tyler Wells looks to turn that around today as he's 2-4 in his 10 starts with a 3.71 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 1-0 record in four starts and a 2.29 ERA. I like both pitchers to keep this one close and low scoring. take the UNDER. |

06-04-22 | Diamondbacks v. Pirates -125 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 5 h 43 m | Show
The Arizona Diamondbacks took game one of this series with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday night, 8-6. That was the club's third win in their last four games. Zach Davies will look to make it two in a row vs the Bucs here today. Davies is 2-3 in his 10 starts with a 4.84 ERA. Davies has also had a rough time of late, allowing 12 earned runs over his last 13 innings of work. The Pirates came back down to earth after their road sweep of the Dodgers. They are still hitting the ball well, their fourth game in a row with at least five runs. Roansy Contreras will start today for the Bucs no record in his two starts and a 1.80 ERA. I'm taking the Bucs to rebound here today. Play Pittsburgh. |
06-04-22 | Twins v. Blue Jays OVER 8.5 | 3-12 | Win | 100 | 4 h 45 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins have little competition in the AL Central with no other team having a .500 or better record. It almost makes them complacent knowing they should cruise to the division championship. Dylan Bundy will start today with a 3-2 record and 4.76 ERA. Bundy allowed nine hits and four runs in his last start to Detroit. The Blue Jays saw their eight-game win streak come to an end on Friday in their loss to the Twins, 3-9. However, it was their sixth straight over and their ninth over in their last 10 games. Jose Berrios will start today for the Jays with a 3-2 record in his 10 starts. Berrios has a lofty 5.62 ERA and has allowed nine runs over his last nine innings of work. I'm taking today's contest over. |
06-04-22 | Tigers v. Yankees -1.5 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 2 h 42 m | Show |
The Detroit Tigers had their modest 3-game win streak snapped on Friday by the Yankees, 0-13. The Tigers will look to be more competitive today with Beau Brieske on the hill. However, that doesn't look to promising with his 0-4 record in seven starts and 5.24 ERA. The Yankees have won three straight games after Friday's white wash of the Tigers. In fact, the Yankees four game win streak they have outscored opponents by a 30-3 margin. Luis Severino on the hill today with a 3-1 record in his nine starts and a 3.38 ERA. Doesn't really matter who they start though, they should pound the Tigers once again. I'm laying the Run Line with the Yankees. |
06-03-22 | Padres v. Brewers UNDER 6.5 | 7-0 | Loss | -100 | 18 h 37 m | Show
The San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers play game two of their set here tonight in Milwuakee. The Padres lost game one on Thursday, 4-5. The Padres looked to have the game in hand leading 4-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning, but gave up four runs to lose the game. The Padres will try and rebound tonight from that devastating loss with their best pitcher on the hill in Joe Musgrove. Musgrove is 5-0 in his nine starts with a nifty 1.86 ERA. Musgrove has not allowed more than two runs in any of his nine starts this year. Milwaukee will counter with their Ace in Corbin Burnes. Burnes is just 3-2 in his 10 starts, but has a great 1.95 ERA. Two of the top pitchers in the NL and both candidates for the NL Cy Young. I'll take this game UNDER. |
06-03-22 | Twins v. Blue Jays OVER 9 | 9-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 31 m | Show
The first place Minnesota Twins are now 30-23 after losing three straight games. They still have a comfortable lead in the AL Central since no other team is within 3-games of even the .500 mark. Today they start a three-game set vs one of the hottest teams in baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays. The Twins made a call to Triple-A St Paul to bring up today's starter, Chi Chi Gonzalez. Gonzalez had a 3.44 ERA in the minors with and struck out 23.4% of batters he faces. He last pitched in the majors with Colorado from 2019 to 2021 and had a less than stellar career with the Rockies. Meanwhile Toronto has won eight straight games including sweeps of the Chicago White Sox and LA Angels. Yesei Kukuchi starts today with a 2-1 record in his nine starts with a 3.48 ERA. Kikuchi is ok, but I'm not sure Gonzalez will do much better with the Twins. I'm taking the Over today. |
06-03-22 | Diamondbacks v. Pirates -105 | 8-6 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 31 m | Show
The Pittsburgh Pirates are 22-27 and 3rd in the NL Central division. However, they played well above their pay grade on their recent road trip to LA. The Dodgers might have thought they had an easy three game set coming up, but that isn't what happened. The Pirates swept the Dodger at Chavez Ravine, outscoring the high priced LA lineup, 19-12 in the process. Pittsburgh had Thursday off as they head to Phoenix to take on the Diamondbacks starting tonight. J.T. Brubaker will start for the Bucs. Brubacker is 0-4 with a 4.15 ERA, but has pitched great of late. He has gone two straight starts (11 2/3 innings) allowing no earned runs. The Arizona Diamondbacks are 25-27 and in 4th in the NL West. Merrill Kelly will start for the D'backs tonight with a 3-3 record and 3.67 ERA. Kelly hasn't been as good on the road where he has a 5.40 ERA in his four away starts. I'm going to see if the Bucs can continue their magic here tonight in Arizona. Play Pittsburgh. |
06-02-22 | Cardinals v. Cubs -102 | 5-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 35 m | Show
A rivalry continues with a five-game set between the St Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs. They will play a doubleheader on Saturday. The Cardinals are in 2nd place in the NL Central with a 29-21 record. The Cubs are in fourth with a 21-29 record. The Cardinals will start Matthew Liberatore today, making his third start of the season. Liberatore had a rough first start, allowing seven hits and four runs to the Pirates. However, he followed that with a very good start vs the Brewers, allowing just two hits and no runs over five innings for his first win. The Cubs have won two straight games, as they split their four-game series with the Brewers. Keegan Thompson will start today for the Cubs. Thompson is 2-0 in his three starts with a 1.93 ERA. He's allowed just one run over his last two starts (10 innings) with just one walk and nine KO's. I like Thompson and the Cubs to take game one of this rivalry with the Cardinals. |
06-02-22 | Angels v. Yankees -145 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show
Game 2 of the Doubleheader between the Angels and Yankees. The Angels have dropped fast in the AL West after losing six straight games. They now trail 1st place Houston by 5.5-games. Reid Detmers will go in game two here today. Detmers is 2-2 with a 4.65 ERA. He's been worse on the road with a 8.48 ERA in his three away starts. The Yankees are in 1st in the AL East, 5.5-games ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Yankees will start Jameson Taillon today. Taillon is 5-1 in his nine starts with a 2.49 ERA. Tallion has allowed just one run over his last two starts (15 innings). I'll take the Yankees in game 2 here today. |
06-02-22 | White Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 3-8 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 36 m | Show
The White Sox look to salvage one game of this three game set with the Blue Jays. The Sox lost game one, 5-6 and then game two last night, 3-7. Johnny Cueto will get the start today for the Sox. Cueto is 0-1 in his three starts with a 2.41 ERA. After two very good starts, Cueto was roughed-up last outing against the Cubs, allowing nine hits and five runs over 6 2/3 innings. Meanwhile the Blue Jays are surging in the AL East, having won seven straight games. They are now in 2nd place in the AL East, 5-games back of the Yankees. Alek Manoah will start for the Jays today. Manoah is 5-1 with a very good 1.77 ERA. He's been even better at home where he has just a 1.33 ERA in four starts. Manoah has also been very consistent this year, not allowing more than two runs in any of his nine starts. I'll take the UNDER here tonight. |
06-02-22 | Twins v. Tigers UNDER 8.5 | 2-3 | Win | 110 | 2 h 39 m | Show
The 1st place Minnesota Twins have little competition in the division right now. The next closest team are the Chicago White Sox at 23-25 and no other team is above .500 in the division. Chris Archer starts today for the Twins with a 0-2 record in his nine starts. Archer has a 4.19 ERA but has been much better of late. He's allowed one run in two of his last three starts and three runs in his last start. The Detroit Tigers are just 20-30 on the season but have been fighting. The Tigers have won two straight games, four of the last five and five of their last seven. Alex Faedo starts today with a 1-2 record in his five starts. He has a 3.00 ERA and has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his five starts this year. I'm taking the UNDER here today. |
06-01-22 | Twins v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 15 m | Show
Minnesota sits in 1st place in the AL Central and is the only team in the division that has a record of better than .500. The Twins hold a 4.5 game lead over the White Sox who are just below the .500 mark. Bailey Ober will start today for the Twins with a 1-1 record in his six starts and a 3.25 ERA. He's been very good in his two road starts, posting a 0.82 ERA. In addition, he's allowed just six total runs over his lat five starts. The Tigers have won three of their last four games including last night's game one with the Twins, 4-0. Tarik Skubal will start today for the Tigers. Skubal has been very good with a 3-2 record and 2.09 ERA. He's allowed just three total runs over his last four games (25 innings). Both pitchers are very good and I'll be on the UNDER in this one. |
06-01-22 | White Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | Top | 3-7 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 11 m | Show |
The Toronto Blue Jays have won six straight games after their opening game win in this series with the White Sox last night, 6-5. The Jays have improved to 28-20 and are just a half game back of the Rays in the AL East for 2nd place and 5.5 back of the Yankees for 1st place. Hyun-Jin Ruy will start today with a 2-0 record and 5.48 ERA. Most of tha ERA came in his first two starts where he allowed 11 runs in 7 1/3 innings. Then he had almost a month off with an injury before returning on May 14th. Since his return, Ryu has three very good starts, allowing just three runs over 15 2/3 innings. The Sox dropped below the .500 mark with their loss last night. They will try to get back there tonight with Michael Kopech on the hill. Kopech is 1-1 in his eight starts with a very good 1.29 ERA. He's been even better in his four road starts with a 0.45 ERA. I like this game UNDER! |
06-01-22 | Braves v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9 | 6-0 | Win | 100 | 4 h 43 m | Show
Atlanta has lost the first two games of this three game series with the Diamondbacks, including last night's contest 7-8. The Braves will try to salvage the last game here today with Kyle Wright on the hill. Wright is 4-3 in his nine games with a 2.68 ERA. Wright has been very good of late, allowing four total runs over his last three starts (18 innings). Arizona can get to the .500 mark with a win today as they sit at 23-24 overall. Madison Bumgarner will start today with a 2-3 record and 3.35 ERA. I like this game to go under here today. |
06-01-22 | Astros v. A's UNDER 7.5 | 5-4 | Loss | -113 | 4 h 41 m | Show
The Houston Astros will look to extend their win streak to four games here today at Oakland. The Astros are in 1st place in the AL West with a 32-18 record and 5-games ahead of the LA Angels. Justin Verlander looks to rebound from his worst start of the season. Verlander went just six innings and gave up 10 hits and six runs in his last start at Seattle. That coming after a three game streak where he allowed no runs over 19 innings of work. The Oakland A's have lost the first two games to the Astros, 1-5 on Monday and 1-3 on Tuesday. Cole Irvin will try to get the A's back in the win column. Irvin is 2-2 with a 2.93 ERA in his seven starts. He's been very good at home with a 1-0 record in four starts and at 1.61 ERA. I expect Verlander to go out and shut down these A's which only have two runs in the series as it is. Take the UNDER. |
05-31-22 | Rays v. Rangers -110 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 58 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Rays are 28-20 in the AL East and trail the first place Yankees by 5-games. They are coming off a loss to the Rangers in game one of this series on Monday, 5-9. This after taking two of three from the Yankees in the weekend series. Ryan Yarbrough will start today for the Rays with a 0-1 record in his four starts and a 4.41 ERA. Yarbrough has yet to have a quality start in any of his four outings. The Rangers can get to .500 with a win tonight over the Rays. That would still keep them in 3rd in the AL West, 7-games back of division leading Houston. The Rangers have won five of their last six games. Martin Perez will start today for the Rangers with a 3-2 record in his nine starts and a very good 1.60 ERA. Perez has allowed either one or no runs in each of his last seven starts. I'll take the Rangers and a very good Perez here tonight. |
05-31-22 | Brewers -124 v. Cubs | 7-8 | Loss | -124 | 8 h 57 m | Show
Rivalry game here today between the Brewers and Cubs. Brewers have taken the first two games of this series with the Cubs, 7-6 in game one and 3-1 in game two in Sunday's doubleheader. Eric Lauer starts here today for the Brewers with a 5-1 record in his eight starts. Lauier has a very good 2.31 ERA this season and allowed over two runs just once in his last seven starts. The Cubs have lost three in a row, including that doubleheader to the Brewers on Sunday. They have also lost five of their last six games. Justin Steele starts today for the Cubs with a 1-5 record in his nine starts and a 5.40 ERA. Steele coming off his worst start of the season where he allowed seven runs over just two innings of work against Cincinnati. I'm taking the Brewers today with the much better starter on the hill. |
05-31-22 | Reds v. Red Sox -132 | 2-1 | Loss | -132 | 7 h 3 m | Show
The NL's Cincinnati Reds travel to Boston today to take on the AL's Reds Sox. Both teams have struggled this year but the Reds have gone through some long losing streaks. The Reds are in last in the NL Central with a 16-31 record. They did win four in a row before losing Sunday's game to the Giants, 4-6. The bullpen has not been very good, especially of late where they have a 5.00 ERA. Luis Castillo starts today for the Reds with a 1-2 record in his four starts with a 4.35 ERA. The Boston Red Sox have struggled most of the season and are within three wins of the .500 mark at 23-26. Michael Wacha will start today for the Sox. Wacha is 3-0 in his seven starts with a 2.83 ERA. He's been even better at home with a 1-0 record in three starts and a 1.17 ERA. I'm going to take the home Red Sox with Wacha today. |
05-30-22 | Braves v. Diamondbacks +109 | 2-6 | Win | 109 | 9 h 29 m | Show
The Atlanta Braves just can't seem to get back to that .500 mark yet. They are close at 23-25 after Sunday's win over Miami, 6-3. They did take two of three from the Marlins so that inched them closer. The Braves will be sending Spencer Strider to the hill today. Strider will be making his first career MLB start. Strider has excelled in the bullpen this year with a 2.22 ERA and 1.03 WHIP with 37 KO's and just 11 Walks. Arizona just got swept at home by the LA Dodgers. That four game losing streak after a stretch that saw t the team go 5-1 the previous six games. Zac Gallen gets the start today. Gallen having a fine season with a 3-0 record in his eight starts and a 2.22 ERA. Gallen is coming off his worst start of the season, allowing seven hits and six runs over 5 1/3 innings to the Royals. I look for Gallen to rebound here today and the D'backs to win this game. |
05-30-22 | Rays -135 v. Rangers | 5-9 | Loss | -135 | 9 h 23 m | Show
Tampa Bay chasing the Yankees in the AL East, now 4.5-games back with a 28-19 record. The Rays took two of three games from the Yankees in their set which ended yesterday. Their pitching held the hard hitting Bronx Bombers to just five runs total over the three-game set. Drew Rasmussen starts for the Rays today with a 5-1 record and 2.68 ERA. Rasmussen allowed three runs in his last start, a win over Miami. However, that was the mot runs he's allowed in a start in his previous six starts. Texas had their four game win streak snapped on Sunday by the A's, 5-6. They are now 22-24 but still 7-games back of 1st place Houston. Glenn Otto will start today for the Rangers with a 2-2 record and 4.91 ERA in his six starts. He's been much worse at home in his two starts with a 0-1 record and 10.80 ERA. I like the Rays here today with Rasmussen on the hill. |
05-30-22 | Astros v. A's UNDER 7 | 5-1 | Win | 110 | 5 h 25 m | Show
These two teams begin a three-game set here on Memorial Monday. The Houston Astros salvaged the rubber game of their series with Seattle, taking the third game, 2-1, after losing the first two games. The Astros offense has gone South of late, scoring just five total runs over the last four games. Framber Valdez gets the start today for the Astros. Valdez is 4-2 with a 2.83 ERA this season. He has now gone six consecutive starts without allowing more than three runs in a game. The A's trail the 1st place Astros by 11 games in the AL West. The A's also salvaged one of the four games in their series with the Rangers taking the fourth game, 6-5. Paul Blackburn gets the start today for the A's. He's been their best pitcher by far this year with a 5-0 record in his nine starts and a 1.70 ERA. He's allowed just three runs over his last four starts and six runs over his last six starts. This game looks to be an under play the whole way. Play UNDER. |
05-29-22 | Brewers v. Cardinals UNDER 7 | 8-0 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 42 m | Show
The Milwaukee Brewers look to snap a two-game losing streak here today at St Louis and salvage the last game of this series. The Brewers are still in 1st place in the NL Central with a 29-18 record, but their lead has shrunk over the Cardinals to 2.5-games. The Brewers Ace, Corbin Burnes, will start today. While Burnes is only 2-2 in his nine starts he does have a very good 2.18 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 1.74 ERA in five games. The Cards will counter with Miles Mikolas today. Mikolas is 3-2 and has an impressive 1.96 ERA. He has allowed more than two runs in a start just once (3 runs). Two excellent pitchers on the hill today. I'll take the under. |
05-29-22 | Guardians v. Tigers UNDER 8.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 13 m | Show
The Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians play the rubber matchup of their 3-game set here today. The teams split the first two games with the Guardians winning Friday and the Tigers winning on Saturday. The Guardians will start Triston McKenzie today with a 3-2 record in his seven starts. McKenzie has a nifty 2.45 ERA overall and 2.40 ERA on the road. He's also given up more than three runs just once in his seven starts this year. The Tigers had their modest two-game win streak snapped last night by the Guardians, 1-8. Elvin Rodriguez will toe the rubber today for the Tigers. He's making just his second start of the season after going five innings in his debut against the Twins, allowing four hits and four runs. The Tigers not much of a hitting team and with McKenzie on the hill for Cleveland I look for a low scoring game. |
05-29-22 | Yankees v. Rays UNDER 6.5 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 4 h 12 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Rays need these wins vs the Yankees to close that big gap in the AL East. Unfortunately for the Rays the best they can do is a 4-game split with a win here today. They did win on Saturday, 3-1. They still trail the Yankees in the division by 5.5-games. Shane McClanahan will take the hill today for the Rays with his 4-2 record in nine starts and a 2.06 ERA. He has allowed only three earned runs over his last four starts 25 1/3 innings. The Yankees had their four-game win streak snapped last night. Luis Severino looks to get them back on track today. Severino is 3-0 in his eight starts with a 3.02 ERA. He has allowed just one run over his last two starts, 13-innings. Both pitchers are very good and I look for another under in this series. |
05-28-22 | Astros v. Mariners UNDER 7.5 | 0-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 8 m | Show
The Houston Astros saw their ACE Justin Verlander roughed-up in game one with the Mariners on Friday as Seattle won, 6-1. The Astros will look to rebound here today with Jose Urquidy on the hill. Urquidy is 4-1 in his eight starts with a 4.24 ERA. He has allowed one run or no runs in three of his last four starts. The Mariners wins have come far and few between of late, that's why Friday's win was so surprising. You have to go all the way back to April 26/27 for the last time the M's have won two straight games. They have Logan Gilbert on the hill today who is 4-2 in his nine starts with a 2.77 ERA. Gilbert has been pretty consistent all season long. I don't expect the M's to get many runs today. If Gilbert can do what he has lately, this will be an UNDER. |
05-28-22 | Cubs v. White Sox UNDER 8.5 | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 30 m | Show
The White Sox and Cubs play a short 2-game Inter League series here today from the South Side of Chicago. The Cubs have lost two straight, including Thursday's loss at Cincinnati, 5-20. Keegan Thompson starts today for the Cubs. Thompson has two starts and is 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA. The White Sox also lost in their last game 7-16 to the Red Sox to level their record at 22-22 overall. They trail 1st place Minnesota by 5-games in the AL Central. Johnny Cueto starts today for the Sox. Cueto has two starts this season with a 0-0 record and a 0.00 ERA. He has gone six innings in both starts and allowed no runs and 12 KO's. I'll take UNDER here today. |
05-28-22 | Giants v. Reds OVER 9.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 26 m | Show
The San Francisco Giants have been struggling as they have dropped into third place in the NL West, 6.5-games back of the Dodgers. The Giants have averaged a very good 5.09 runs per game this year. It's the pitching staff that has dropped dramatically from last season, allowing a 4.53 ERA overall. Alex Wood starts today with a 3-3 record in eight starts and a 4.82 ERA. The Reds have won three straight games, including last night's opener with the Giants, 5-1. They have now scored 29 runs over their last three games. Vladimir Gutierrez will start today with a 0-6 record and 8.70 ERA. He's been even worse at home with a 9.94 ERA. I like this game over here today. |
05-28-22 | Marlins +108 v. Braves | Top | 4-1 | Win | 108 | 5 h 25 m | Show |
The Miami Marlins look to snap a 3-game losing streak here today at Atlanta. They were swept by their in-state rivals, Tampa Bay. Sandy Alcantara is the only starter to win a game over the teams last seven outings. He beat these Braves on April 22, 4-3, going nine full innings and allowing no earned runs. Alcantara is 4-2 overall in his nine starts with a nifty 2.11 ERA. The defending champion Braves still trying to get back to the .500 mark at 22-24. They beat Miami in game one of this series on Friday 6-4. Tucker Davidson will start today for the Braves. Davidson is 1-1 in his two starts with a 5.87 ERA. He lasted only 2 2/3 innings in his last start against Philly, allowing four hits and five runs. I'll take the Marlins today with their best pitcher on the hill. |
05-27-22 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks +137 | 6-4 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 45 m | Show
The LA Dodgers got their 30th win of the season last night with a win over Arizona in the opening game of this set with the D'backs, 14-1. The Dodgers have been dominating both with the bats and on the mound. They lead the NL West by two-games over the Padres. Ryan Pepiot will make his third start of the season here today. Pepiot has no record yet with a 3.86 ERA. He is coming off a start vs their D'backs where he allowed two hits and three runs over his four innings of work for a no decision. Arizona looks to stay above the .500 mark today with a win over the Dodgers. The 23-23 D'backs have won five of their last seven games. Veteran Madison Bumgarner will start today. Bumgarner is 2-2 in his nine starts with a 2.76 ERA. He's been even better at home with a 1.86 ERA in his four starts. Bumgarner should keep the D'backs close here tonight and for me that makes them a live dog. Play Arizona. |
05-27-22 | Rangers v. A's UNDER 7 | 8-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 43 m | Show
The Texas Rangers improved to 20-23 after winning their last two games. They took the opener in this series with the A's on Thursday, 4-1. They are 0-5-2 O/U/P their last seven games. Jon Gray will start today with a 1-2 record in his six starts and a 5.14 ERA. Gray has been up and down this season, but he has pitched well in two of his last three starts. Oakland dropped to 19-28 on the season with their loss to the Rangers on Thursday. The A's have lost four of their last six games. Cole Irvin will start today with a 2-2 record in his six starts. Irvin has a 2.94 ERA and a nice 1.13 ERA in his three home starts. Since his first two starts of the season, Irvine hasn't allowed over two runs in any of his last four starts. I'll take the UNDER in this contest. |
05-27-22 | Astros -1.5 v. Mariners | 1-6 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 43 m | Show
The Houston Astros took the last two games of their three game set with the Guardians. The Astros are in 1st place in the AL West, 2.5-games ahead of the Angels. Justin Verlander will take the hill today. Verlander looks to once again be a Cy Young candidate with his dominating performances thus far. Verlander is 6-1 in his eight starts with a 1.22 ERA. He has not allowed a run in any of his last three starts (19 innings). Seattle has dropped two straight games to fall to 18-27 overall. The Mariners also fell into last in the AL West. Chris Flexen was very good last year, but not this season. He has a 1-6 record in his eight games with a 4.98 ERA. He has also allowed 14 runs over his last 14 1/3 innings. Verlander has been dominating and I don't see the M's giving him much of a problem tonight. Lay the Run Line with the Astros. |

05-27-22 | Blue Jays v. Angels UNDER 8 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 42 m | Show
The Toronto Blue Jays have won two straight games to improve to 24-20 in the AL East. They still trail the Yankees by 7.5 games as they have dropped off fast in the division race. Alek Manoah will toe the rubber for the Jays with a 5-1 record and 1.62 ERA. Manoah has allowed no more than two runs in any start this season. The LA Angels are having a fine season with a 27-19 record and just behind the Astros for the AL West lead. Chase Silseth will make his third start of the season today. Silseth is 1-1 in those prior two starts with a 2.61 ERA. Should be a good pitcher duel here tonight and I'll be on the UNDER. |
05-27-22 | Yankees v. Rays UNDER 7.5 | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 7 h 14 m | Show
The NY Yankees continue to dominate their division as they lead the AL East by 5.5 games over 2nd place Tampa Bay. The Yankees have won three straight games to improve to 32-13. Jameson Taillon will start today with a 4-1 record in his eight starts and a 2.95 ERA. Tallion is coming off a seven inning performance against the White Sox, allowing five hits and one run. Tamp Bay dropped their game one of this series with the Yankees on Thursday, 2-7. The loss dropped the Rays to 26-18 in the AL East. Jeffrey Springs will make his fifth start for the Rays. Springs is 1-1 in his four previous starts with a 2.12 ERA. In his two home starts he has a 1.23 ERA. Springs has not allowed a run over his last two starts. I'll be on the UNDER here today. |

05-26-22 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks +167 | 14-1 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 0 m | Show
After scoring 19 runs in their first two games at Washington, the Dodgers hit a wall in Wednesday's game three. They scored no runs in a 0-1 loss. That makes LA 29-14 and the Padres remain 1.5-games back with their loss on Wednesday to the Brewers, 1-2. LA now heads all the way back to the West to take on the Diamondbacks in Phoenix. Mike White makes just his second start of the season here tonight. White went just 2 1/3 innings in hi first start vs the Phillies, allowing three hits and three runs. Arizona had Wednesday off after taking two games from Kansas City and also winning five of their last six games. Humberto Castellanos will start for the D'back with a 3-1 record and 4.13 ERA. He's been good, not great, allowing seven runs over his last three starts (16 innings). Dodgers a huge 1.80 favorite here with a very sketchy White on the mound. I like dogs who show value and the D'backs have lots of value tonight. Play Arizona. |

05-26-22 | Rangers v. A's UNDER 7 | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 20 h 60 m | Show
The Oakland A's took game three of their series on Wednesday with the Mariners as a nice dog price of +1.55 and won, 4-2. Now the A's return home to open their series here on Thursday against the Rangers. Frankie Montas will toe the rubber today for the A's. Montas is 2-4 in his nine starts with a 3.55 ERA. Montas has been excellent of late, going 7 2/3 innings of work with just two runs allowed and one walk and 14 KO's. The Rangers snapped their 3-game losing streak on Wednesday against the Angels with a 7-2 win. That's the most runs the Rangers have scored in their last seven games. Martin Perez will start today for the Rangers. Perez is 3-2 with a very good 1.64 ERA. He's been great on the road in his three starts, allowing no runs including a nine-inning shutout of the Astros in his last start. I'm looking for this game to go UNDER tonight with these two hot pitchers on the mound. |
05-26-22 | Brewers v. Cardinals UNDER 7.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 18 h 5 m | Show
The Milwaukee Brewers remain on the road after a successful trip to San Diego, taking two of the three games including Wednesday, 2-1. Eric Lauer starts tonight for the Brewers with a 4-1 record and 2.16 ERA. Lauer rebounded from a sub-par performance on the 14th with a nice game vs the Nationals last Friday where he allowed no runs over seven innings. The Cardinals had Wednesday off after losing on Tuesday to the Blue Jays, 1-8. That loss snapped a five-game win streak by the Cardinals. This is a big early season series as these two teams are battling it out in the NL Central. The Cardinals are in 2nd place, 3-games back of the Brewers with a 24-19 record. Adam Wainwright will start tonight with a 5-3 record in his eight games. Wainwright has a 2.87 ERA and slightly better 2.50 home ERA. He's been very good of late, allowing three runs over his last 20 innings. Two excellent pitchers that should keep this game low scoring and close. Take the UNDER. |
05-25-22 | Guardians v. Astros UNDER 8.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 29 m | Show
The Cleveland Guardians can't seem to put any wins together as they have not won two or more games in a row since May 8 and 9th. Cal Quantrill will start today for the Guardians with a 1-2 record and a 3.48 ERA. Quantrill coming off a nice start where he went seven innings vs the Reds, allowing just five hits and one run. The Houston Astros have a 1-game lead in the AL West over the LA Angels. It's looks to be just a two-team race in the division as the other three teams are all at least five-games below the .500 mark. Cristian Javier starts today for the Astros. Javier is 2-2 with a 4.50 ERA. However, at home he has a 1-1 record in two starts with a 0.79 ERA. Really, Javier has had one bad start in his four outings, a seven run game to the Nationals. I'll take the UNDER here tonight. |
05-25-22 | Marlins v. Rays UNDER 7 | 4-5 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 58 m | Show
The Miami Marlins lost game one of this series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday, 0-4. They have now lost four of the last five games to drop to 18-23 overall and 4th place in the AL East Division. Cody Poteet will make his second start of the season here tonight. Poteet had a nice first start, going 4 2/3 innings vs the Nationals, allowing just one hit and no runs. Tampa Bay improved to 25-17 and is in 2nd place in the AL East behind the NY Yankees. Drew Rasmussen will start for the Rays. He's 4-1 in his eight starts with a nifty 2.33 ERA and 0.905 WHIP. He's been even better at home with a 2-0 record and 1.31 ERA. Rasmussen has allowed just three total runs over his last five starts. Both pitchers should be very good here tonight. I'll take the UNDER. |
05-25-22 | A's +157 v. Mariners | 4-2 | Win | 157 | 4 h 30 m | Show
The Oakland A's snapped a 3-game losing streak last night with their big dog win over the Mariners, 7-5. That was just their win over their last 10 games. Paul Blackburn will start tonight for the A's and he's been their best pitcher with a 4-0 record in his eight starts. Blackburn has a 1.91 ERA and 0.992 WHIP this year. He's been even better in his five road starts with a 1.37 ERA and the team has won all five of his away starts. The Mariners have also fallen on hard times, losing five of their last six games and dropping to 18-26 in the AL West, just a half game ahead of the A's for last place. Robbie Ray will start today with a 4-4 record in his nine starts and a 4.77 ERA. I'm a little taken aback by the +157 dog price on the A's considering these teams are very equal and the A's have a very good road pitcher in Blackburn on the hill. Lots of value here today with this dog. Play Oakland. |
05-25-22 | Brewers v. Padres -132 | 2-1 | Loss | -132 | 4 h 29 m | Show
Two of the best NL teams meet today as the NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers take on the NL West 2nd place San Diego Padres. The Brewers are 27-16 overall and lead 2nd place St Louis by 3-games. Aaron Ashby gets his fourth start of the season today. Ashby is 0-1 with a 4.61 ERA. He's coming off a road game at Atlanta where he allowed six hits and six runs in four innings. The Padres have been one of the best road teams in baseball this year, but have struggled at times at home. They won game one vs the Brewers and then lost last night, 1-4. That loss did snap a five-game win streak for the Padres. Yu Darvish gets the start today with a 4-1 record in his eight starts. Darvish has a 3.91 ERA and a 1.37 ERA at home in his three starts. Darvish has been one of the better Padre pitchers and I'll take him tonight. Play San Diego. |
05-24-22 | Brewers v. Padres UNDER 6.5 | 4-1 | Win | 105 | 10 h 35 m | Show
The NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers play game two of their series here tonight at San Diego against the Padres. They lost the opened last night, 2-3. That made two straight losses for the Brewers. They get their ACE on the hill today in Corbin Burnes. Despite his 1-2 record, Burnes has a nice 2.26 ERA and except for his last start he allowed two runs or fewer in his previous six starts. The Padres look to extend their win streak to six games here tonight. The Padres trail 1st place LA by just a half game in the NL West. Blake Snell gets the call today for the Padres. Snell is making just his second start since missing all the previous part of this season due to an injury. Snell only went 3 2/3 innings in his first start back against PHilly, allowing three hits and three runs. I look for Snell to only get stronger as he gets more innings. I'll take the under with these two pitchers on the hill today. |
05-23-22 | Guardians v. Astros UNDER 8.5 | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 6 h 49 m | Show
Cleveland dropped another game under .500 to 17-20 with their loss on Sunday to Detroit, 2-4. That makes the Guardians 1-4 over their last five games. Zach Plesac looks to get the start tonight for the Guardians. Pleasac is 1-3 in his seven starts with a 4.42 ERA. The Astros improved to 27-15 after winning their last two game and taking three of four from the Texas Rangers. Luis Garcia toes the rubber for the Astros. Garcia is 3-2 with a 3.34 ERA this season. Both starts are capable of putting together good games here today. I'll take the UNDER. |
05-23-22 | Blue Jays v. Cardinals -112 | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 5 h 25 m | Show
The Toronto Blue Jays won two of their three over the Reds, losing the last game on Sunday, 2-3. The Jays haven't scored more than three runs in any of their last five games. Joe Berrios gets the start today. Berrios is 3-2 in his eight starts this year, with a 4.83 ERA and 1.488 WHIP. St Louis improved to 23-18 after winning three straight games over the Pirates. They outscored Pittsburgh 28-11 in that set. Miles Mikolas will start today with a 3-2 record and 1.68 ERA. Mikolas hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his eight starts this year. I like the Cards here tonight. Play St Louis. |
