05-23-22 | Tigers v. Twins UNDER 8 | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 20 m | Show
The Detroit Tigers are tied for last in the AL Central with the KC Royals, both teams with a 14-26 record. The Tigers did snap a three game losing streak with a win on Sunday over the Guradians, 4-2. They have a 1-6-1 O/U record in their last eight games, partly thanks to scoring one run in three straight games. Eduardo Rodriguez starts today for the Tigers with a 1-3 record and 4.38 ERA. He's pitched well in his last three starts, allowing a total of four runs in 14 innings. Meanwhile the division leading Twins have won four straight games to improve to 25-16. The pitching has been very good. Chris Archer will go today with a 0-1 record in his seven starts. Archer has a 4.10 ERA. However, most of those came in a five run game on May 5. Other than that game, Archer has allowed two runs or fewer in every other starts. I'm taking UNDER today. |
|||||||
05-23-22 | Orioles v. Yankees UNDER 7.5 | 6-4 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 45 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles have won three of the last four games and improved to 17-23 on the season. They are still last in the AL East and likely will remain there the entire season. Jordan Lyles will start today for the O's. He's 2-4 in his eight starts with a 4.11 ERA. He's pitched well of late, allowing more than two earned runs just once in his last four games. The Division leading Yankees look to snap a two-game losing streak. They lost two of their last three to the White Sox and scored just one run in those two games. Gerrit Cole will start today with a 4-0 record in his eight starts and a 2.89 ERA. Cole has has not allowed more than three runs in any of his eight starts this year. I look for a low scoring contest here today. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-22-22 | Twins v. Royals UNDER 8 | 7-6 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 58 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins look to extend their win streak to four games here today as they look for the sweep in Kansas City. The Twins will start Bailey Ober today who is 1-1 in his four starts with a 2.75 ERA. After his first start where he allowed four runs to the Mariners, Ober has allowed just two total runs in his next three starts. The Royals have lost three straight games and five of their last seven games. Brady Singer looks to get them back on track today. Singer has only one start and that was a fine one. Singer went seven strong innings against the White Sox, allowing just four hits and no runs with no walks and nine KO's for the 2-1 win. I look for a low scoring game here today with two pitchers that have pitched great of late. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-22-22 | Tigers v. Guardians UNDER 7 | 4-2 | Win | 105 | 4 h 48 m | Show
The Detroit Tigers look to snap a 3-game losing streak here today at Cleveland. The Indians are just 13-26 overall on the season and in last place in the AL Central. Alex Faedo will start for the Tigers with a 0-1 record in his three starts but a nice 2.87 ERA. Faedo has not allowed more than two runs in any of his three starts this season. The Cleveland Guardians are trying to claw their way back to the .500 mark in the AL Central. Right now, only Minnesota has a record over .500 in the division. The Guardians snapped a three game losing streak with their win here on Saturday. They will start Shane Bieber today who is 1-2 in his seven starts. Bieber has a 3.96 ERA with a 1.267 WHIP. Bieber had his worst start of the season, allowing seven runs to the Blue Jays but then bounced back with a six inning, one run performance against the Twins. I'm looking for a low scoring game today. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-22-22 | Mariners v. Red Sox UNDER 9.5 | 4-8 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 23 m | Show
The Seattle Mariners have dropped three-straight games to a 17-24 record and fourth place in the AL West. The Mariners have also lost five of their last six and could be swept here today by the Red Sox. Logan Gilbert will start for the M's with a 4-2 record and 2.60 ERA. Gilbert has been even better on the road where his is 3-1 with a 1.59 ERA. The Boston Red Sox have won four straight to improve to 18-22, but still are four games under the .500 mark. Nathan Eovaldi will start today with a 1-2 mark in his eight starts and a 4.32 ERA. Eovaldo had been doing great his lat five starts before his last one. He had given up just six runs in five games and then was blistered by the Astros for six runs over 1 2/3 innings in his last start. I look for Eovaldi to rebound here today and this game to go UNDER. |
|||||||
05-21-22 | A's +134 v. Angels | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
The Oakland A's took game one of this series with the Angels on Friday night, 4-2. That improved the A's to 17-24. The A's will turn to Frankie Montas here tonight. Montas is only 2-4 on the season, but still has a nice 3.67 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. Montas pitched very well in his last game, but took the loss to these Angels, 1-4. That loss came despite going six solid innings and allowing two runs and 12 KO's. The Angels have dropped out of 1st place in the AL West thanks to a four-game losing streak. The Houston Astros have taken over the division lead, 1.5 games ahead of the A's. The Angels will start Michael Lorenzen here today. Lorenzen is 5-2 in his six starts with a 3.57 ERA. Both pitchers are about even tonight, but with the Angels in the midst of a losing streak I'll take the live dog here in Oakland. |
|||||||
05-21-22 | Rangers v. Astros -1.5 | 1-2 | Loss | -120 | 17 h 55 m | Show
The Texas Rangers took game two of this series to even it at one game a piece with their win on Friday. The Rangers got a shutout win over the Astros, 3-0. The Rangers will start Jon Gray here today. Gray is 1-1 in his five starts this year with a 5.73 ERA. Gray is coming off a 5 2/3 inning outing vs the Angels where he allowed four runs and eight hits. The Astros were shut out for the first time since their game on April 20th. Justin Verlander will toe the rubber here today for the Astros. Verlander is 5-1 in his seven starts with a 1.38 ERA and 0.679 WHIP. Verlander has gone 13 innings without allowing a run and just three hits. Verlander is pitching great right now and I look for a bounce back here today with the Astros. I'll lay the Run Line with Houston. |
|||||||
05-21-22 | Padres +141 v. Giants | 2-1 | Win | 141 | 4 h 27 m | Show
The San Diego Padres look to extend their two game win streak here today at San Francisco. These two NL West titans are battling it out and the Padres took game one of this series on Friday, 8-7. The Padres have been the best road team in the NL this year at 15-7 away. The Padres will send Joe Musgrove to the hill today. Musgrove is 4-0 in his seven starts with a 2.20 ERA and 0.933 WHIP. Musgrove has not allowed more than two runs in any of his seven starts this year. The Giants dropped to third place in the division with two losses in a row. Carlos Rondon will start today with a 4-2 record in his seven starts and a 3.49 ERA. Rondon coming off his worst start of the year where he allowed 10 hits and eight runs over 3 2/3 innings to the Cardinals. Padres a very live dog here today on the road where they have flourished and with the better pitcher. Play San Diego. |
|||||||
05-21-22 | White Sox v. Yankees UNDER 9 | 5-7 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 50 m | Show
Game one of this series between the White Sox and Yankees was postponed on Friday. That means they pick up here today, but will only play a single game today, not a doubleheader. The White Sox made it to 19-19 with a win on Thursday over Kansas City. They are just the 2nd team in the AL Central to be at .500 or above with 1st place Minnesota at 22-16. The Sox will start Dallas Keuchel today with a 2-3 record and 5.88 ERA. Keuchel is coming off a very good start where he went five innings and allowed four hits and no runs to these Yankees. The Yankees have catapulted into 1st place in the AL East with a 28-10 record, now 5-games ahead of 2nd place Tampa Bay. Nestor Cortes will start today with a 2-1 record in his seven starts. Cortes has a very good 1.35 ERA and is slightly better at home with a 1.00 ERA in three starts. Cortes has not allowed more than two runs in any of his seven starts and has three games where he's allowed no runs. I'll take the UNDER here today in this matchup. |
|||||||
05-20-22 | A's v. Angels UNDER 8 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 15 m | Show
The Oakland A's and LA Angels begin their series here tonight from LA. Both teams come in off losses. The A's lost Wednesday to Minnesota, 4-14. That makes four of their last five games they have lost. Paul Blackburn makes the start here tonight for the A's. He's 4-0 in his seven starts with a nifty 1.67 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 3-0 record and 0.83 ERA. He's also allowed two runs or fewer in six of his seven starts. The Angels are coming of a 3-game loss to the Rangers. Chase Silseth makes his second start of the season tonight. His first was excellent, going six innings vs these A's, allowing one hit and no runs for the win. I look for these teams to get back to some low scoring games. Take the UNDER. |
|||||||
05-20-22 | Rangers +160 v. Astros | 3-0 | Win | 160 | 7 h 47 m | Show
The Rangers and Astros begin another Lone Star State battle here tonight from Houston. The Rangers are 17-20 and had their four-game win streak snapped by the Astros yesterday, 1-5. Martin Perez starts tonight with a 2-2 record and very nice 2.02 ERA. Perez has started two road games and has yet to allow an earned run. Perez has also not allowed more than one earned run in any of his last four starts. The Astros improved to 25-14 with their win last night and moved into 1st place in the AL West. Cristian Javier starts tonight with a 2-1 record in his three starts. He has a 5.79 ERA and 1.500 WHIP. The Rangers are pretty nice dogs here tonight and are a great value shot with Perez on the mound. I'll take that shot. Play Texas. |
|||||||
05-19-22 | Yankees v. Orioles UNDER 8 | 6-9 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 28 m | Show
The Yankees look to sweep their series here today with the Orioles. They have taken the first three games with one over, one under and a push thus far. Today, Jordan Montgomery will start for the Yankees. Montgomery is 0-1 in his seven starts with a respectable 3.06 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 2.21 ERA in four starts. Montgomery has been very consistent too, allowing two runs or fewer in each of his last six starts. The Orioles have now lost six straight games. During that losing streak they have scored more than three runs just one time and that was four runs. Bruce Zimmermann will get the start today. He's been the best the O's have had thus far with a 2-2 record in seven starts and a 1.98 ERA an 1.80 home ERA. Zim has not allowed more than two runs in any of his seven starts this season. Looks to be a low scoring affair with these two pitchers on the hill. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-18-22 | Astros v. Red Sox UNDER 9 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 27 m | Show
The Astros and Red Sox have split their three game series thus far with Boston taking game one on Monday and the Astros taking last night's contest, 13-4. The Astros are just a game back of the Angels in the AL West in that two team division battle. Luis Garcia will start today for Houston with a 3-1 record in his six starts and a 2.94 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 1.20 ERA in his three away outings. Garcia has also allowed just one run over his last 12 innings of work, winning both games with just four walks and 18 KO's. Meanwhile, the Red Sox are in last place in the AL East. The Sox will turn to Nick Pivetta today who has had his problems with year. Pivetta is 1-4 in seven starts with a 5.08 ERA. He's been even worse at Fenway where he is 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA. The good new for Pivetta is that he's pitched well in his last two games, going 13 innings and allowing just one run with one walk and 12 KO's. If Pivetta has it back under control, which he looks to have done, then take the UNDER here tonight. |
|||||||
05-18-22 | Astros -133 v. Red Sox | 1-5 | Loss | -133 | 7 h 26 m | Show
The Astros and Red Sox have split their three game series thus far with Boston taking game one on Monday and the Astros taking last night's contest, 13-4. I'm taking the Astros here today. |
|||||||
05-18-22 | Braves v. Brewers UNDER 6.5 | 6-7 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 26 m | Show
The Braves still trying to climb back to that .500 mark sit at 17-20 after winning Tuesday's contest at Milwaukee, 3-0. Both games thus far in this series have been low scoring with the Brewers winning on Monday 1-0 and the Braves on Tuesday, 3-0. I don't see that changing with Max Fried on the hill today for the Braves. Fried is 4-2 in seven games with a 3.14 ERA. The Brewers start their ACE in Corbin Burnes. Burnes has a 1-2 record despite a great ERA of just 1.77. Burnes has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last six games. Take the UNDER here today. |
|||||||
05-18-22 | Tigers v. Rays UNDER 7 | 1-6 | Push | 0 | 2 h 25 m | Show
Detroit had its four-game win streak snapped yesterday by the Rays, 1-8. That means the two teams have split this three game series with the rubber match here today. While yesterday's game went over, that was the only one to do so in the last six games. Eduardo Rodriquez will start today with a 1-2 record this year in his seven starts. He's pitched well though with a 3.72 ERA. He's also allowed just one run over his last two starts 13 2/3 innings. The Rays improved to 22-15 with their win on Tuesday. The Rays are in 2nd place behind the 27-9 Yankees. Drew Rasmussen will start today with a 3-1 record in his seven starts. Rasmussen has been very good with a 2.67 ERA and 1.72 home ERA. He's also allowed just one run in each of his last three starts and three total runs over his last four starts. I'll take today's game under the total. |
|||||||
05-17-22 | Astros v. Red Sox UNDER 8.5 | 13-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 31 m | Show
The Houston Astros dropped game one of this series with the Red Sox on Monday, 3-6. After an 11-game win streak, they have now lost two of their last three games. The Astros still have one of the best pitching staffs in baseball, including a bull pen that has just a 2.91 ERA. Jose Urquidy starts today with a 2-1 record after six starts and a 4.39 ERA. He's been very good of late, allowing just one run over his last two starts (nine innings) of work. The Boston Red Sox improved to 14-21 with their win on Monday. That was their third win in their last four games. Nathan Eovaldi toes the rubber today for teh Sox. Eovaldi is 1-1 in his seven starts with a 3.15 ERA. He's been very consistent this year, not allowing more than three runs in any single outing. I like both these pitchers to keep the score low. Play UNDER. |
|||||||
05-16-22 | Diamondbacks +212 v. Dodgers | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 46 m | Show
The LA Dodgers snapped a four-game losing streak and salvaged the final game of their series with a win over the Phillies on Sunday, 5-4. The Dodgers pitching staff has been hit hard in recent games, allowing 33 runs over their last four games. Tony Gonsolin will get the start here today for the Dodgers. Gonsolin is 3-0 in his six starts with a 1.33 ERA. The Arizona Diamondbacks are 18-17 on the season and having a much better season than most had anticipated. The D'backs did lose two of their three games to the Cubs, including the last two games. All three games with the Cubs were decided by one run. Madison Bumgarner will start today for Arizona. Bumgarner has pitched very well this year with a 2-1 record and 1.78 ERA. He has not allowed more two runs in any of his seven starts. In fact, he has allowed one run or no runs in six of those starts. At this huge dog price today, I'll take a shot with a very good pitcher on the hill for Arizona. |
|||||||
05-16-22 | Astros v. Red Sox UNDER 9 | 3-6 | Push | 0 | 9 h 46 m | Show
The Houston Astros had their 11-game win streak snapped on Saturday by Washington, 6-13. Then the Astros came right back and picked up with winning on Sunday with a 8-0 shutout of Washington. Today, Jake Odorizzi takes to the hill with a 3-2 record and 3.37 ERA. Odorizzi has pitched very well of late, going 11 2/3 innings allowing no runs. The Boston Red Sox took two of their three game series withe the Rangers over the weekend. Garrett Whitlock starts today after a 0-1 record in his four starts. Whitlock has a 3.00 ERA and 1.133 WHIP. Two decent pitchers here today, I'll take the UNDER tonight. |
|||||||
05-15-22 | Red Sox v. Rangers -110 | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 4 h 49 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox look for the sweep here today in Texas. The Sox took game one and game two of this series by a combined 18-4 score. Lefty Austin Davis will get the start today for the Sox. Don't expect Davis to be more than in the role of an opener here today as he's not expected to last much past the 1st inning. Texas looks to salvage the rubber game here today with Martin Perez on the hill. Perez is 1-2 on the season with a 2.10 ERA. Perez has only allowed two earned runs over his last four starts (26 2/3 innings). With the Sox going with an opener that means they will rely on a bullpen that has been mediocre at best this year. I'll take the Rangers here today. |
|||||||
05-15-22 | Orioles v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 1-5 | Win | 105 | 3 h 53 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles have dropped two straight games to bring their record to 14-20 on the season. The Orioles hope to salvage the rubber game of this series with the Tigers after dropping the first two games. The O's have scored just two runs overall in this series thus far. Tyler Wells starts today for the O's with a 1-2 record and 3.75 ERA. Wells has pitched very good of late, allowing just two total runs over his last two starts (11 innings). In fact, the Wells has not allowed over two runs in any of his last five games. The Tigers look to sweep the series today with Tarik Skubal on the hill. Skubal is 2-2 in his six starts with a 2.41 ERA. Skubal has allowed just two runs over his last two starts (13 innings). I look for this game to go UNDER. |
|||||||
05-15-22 | Astros -1.5 v. Nationals | Top | 8-0 | Win | 100 | 5 h 60 m | Show |
The Houston Astros had their 11-game win streak snapped on Saturday by Washington, 6-13. The Astros pitching must have taken the day off after shutting out three of their previous five opponents. The win streak brought the team to within 1-game of the AL West leading Angels. Right now it's a two-team race in the AL West with the other three teams all below the .500 mark. Justin Verlander takes the hill today and is looking like his old Cy Young self. Verlander is 4-1 in six starts with a 1.55 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 3-1 mark and 0.64 ERA. Washington is just 12-23 on the season and in last place in the NL East. The Nats are 3-7 over their last 10-games. Pat Corbin will start today and he's been in bad shape all season. Corbin is 0-5 in his seven starts with a 6.06 ERA. I don't see the Astros losing this game, but I'll have to lay the Run Line with the big price on their heads. Play Houston Run Line. |
|||||||
05-14-22 | Red Sox v. Rangers UNDER 8.5 | 11-3 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 41 m | Show
Boston improved to 12-20 overall with their win in the opening game of this series with the Rangers, 7-1. Rich Hill will get the call today for the Red Sox. Hill is 0-1 in his five starts, but has a solid 2.86 ERA. In fact, Hill has been very hot of late, allowing NO runs over his last three starts (13 innings). The Texas Rangers are just 13-18 overall and have alternated win/loss over their last eight games. Glenn Otto will start today with a 1-0 record in three starts and a 3.14 ERA. This looks to be another low scoring game with Hill on the mound for the Red Sox. Take UNDER |
|||||||
05-14-22 | Brewers v. Marlins UNDER 7 | 3-9 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 45 m | Show
The Milwaukee Brewers improved to 21-12 with their win over Miami in the opening game of this series, 2-1. The Brewers sit in 1st place in the NL Central, 3.5 games ahead of St Lous and after that no team is even at the .500 mark. Eric Lauer starts today and is 3-0 in his five starts with a very nice 1.82 ERA and 0.944 WHIP. Since his opening start where Lauer gave up three runs, he has allowed just three total runs over his next four starts. The Marlins dropped to 14-18 with their loss on Friday. The fish have now lost four of the last five and 10 of their last 12. Trevor Rogers gets the start and he's 1-4 with a 5.00 ERA. Rogers did pitch very well in his last start, going five inning and allowing no runs. I like today's game UNDER. |
|||||||
05-14-22 | Orioles v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 45 m | Show
Baltimore dropped to 14-19 with their loss to the Tigers in game one of this series on Friday, 2-4. That was the team's second under in a row and the fourth in the last five games. Bruce Zimmermann has been very good this year and will toe the rubber today. Zim is 2-1 in his six starts with a 1.78 ERA. He has not allowed more than two runs in any of his six starts and has three games where he hasn't allowed a single run. The Tigers got to 10-23 with that win on Friday. The Tigers have gone under in eight of their last 10 games with one push. They have also scored two runs or fewer in eight of their last 11 games. Michael Pineda gets the start today and is 1-2 in his four starts with a 3.43 ERA. In three of his four starts he's allowed two runs or fewer. This looks to be another low scoring affair for the Tigers. Take UNDER. |
|||||||
05-13-22 | Blue Jays v. Rays +115 | 2-5 | Win | 115 | 5 h 53 m | Show
The Toronto Blue Jays look to snap a four-game losing streak here at Tampa Bay tonight. The Jays lost two to the Yankees and three of four to the Guardians. They have now lost five of their last six overall games. Yet, tonight they are the favorite at Tampa Bay. Kevin Gausman will start tonight and he's been very good, posting a 3-1 record in six starts with just a 2.13 ERA. Tampa Bay snapped a three-game losing steak last on Wednesday at the Angels. Even with those three losses, they have won seven of their last 10 games. Drew Rasmussen will start today. He's 3-1 in his starts with a 2.89 ERA. I consider both of these starters pretty equal and with that I'll take the hotter team here today. Play Tampa Bay. |
|||||||
05-13-22 | Brewers v. Marlins UNDER 6.5 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 16 m | Show
The Brewers and Marlins begin a three-game set here on Friday from Miami. The Brewers are 20-12 on the season and in first place in the NL Central. The Brewers Ace, Corbin Burnes will start today. Despite have just one win and two losses, he's pitched very well with a 1.86 ERA and 0.802 WHIP. The Miami Marlins are 14-17 after snapping a three game losing streak with a win at Arizona on Wednesday, 11-3. Pablo Lopez gets the start today Lopez is 4-1 on the season and has an excellent 1.25 ERA and 0.889 WHIP. Lopez has allowed no runs in four of his six starts this season. Two of the best pitchers on the mound today, I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
05-12-22 | Astros v. Twins UNDER 8.5 | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 5 h 45 m | Show
We've seen a bit of a shift recently from the Unders that dominated early in the season to more even now that overs have been catching up. Still, one team that continues to produce great unders is this Houston club. They did it again for me last night night with a 5-0 shutout of the Twins. Their pitching has been amazing during this eight game win streak. They have allowed no runs their last two games and no more than two runs in any of their last eight games (four shutouts). Meanwhile, their hitting hasn't been great but good enough. Luis Garcia stars today for the Astros with a 2-1 record in five starts and a 3.45 ERA. He is coming off an excellent start that saw him go seven innings, allow two hits and two runs. The Twins had their three game win streak snapped last night by the Astros. They have struggled at times to score runs with just seven total runs scored over the last four games. Josh Winder toes the rubber today and has a 2-0 record in his two start. Winder has yet to allow a run in his 12 innings of work with just five total his, 15 KO's and just one BB. Winder should keep this one low scoring again and I will be on the UNDER again tonight. |
|||||||
05-11-22 | A's v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 9-0 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 19 m | Show
The Oakland A's looked like they had got back on track after losing nine straight games. They had won two straight before losing last night to Detroit, 0-6. The Tigers continue to flounder a bit with the bats while the pitching has remained strong. Oakland starts Zach Logue here today with a 0-1 record in his only start and a 3.60 ERA. He pitched well enough to win, but got only one run of support from his team. The Tigers offense has also struggled. The six runs they got yesterday was more than their last five games combined. In fact, before yesterday the Tigers have not scored more than three runs in their last nine games and 12 of their last 13. The Tigers will start their prospect Joey Wentz today as he makes his MLB debut. The Tigers are getting thin on starters and Wentz is being brought up to fill a short term gap. Two poor hitting teams here today as I stick with the UNDER. |
|||||||
05-11-22 | Rockies +190 v. Giants | 1-7 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 52 m | Show
The 16-14 Colorado Rockies look to snap a three-game losing streak today at San Francisco. The Rockies also look to salvage the last game of this set with the Giants after losing the first two games. They lost game one 5-8 and last night 2-9. Chad Kuhl is one of their best pitchers with a 3-0 mark and 1.82 ERA. He's been better on the road with a 1-0 record in three starts and 1.65 ERA. The Giants are 18-12 on the season and have won four straight games. This following on the heals of a 5-game losing streak. Alex Cobb starts for the Giants with a 1-1 record and 4.80 ERA in his four starts. Cobb not one of the best Giants pitchers and that means with Kuhl on the hill for the Rocks we have a live dog spot. Play Colorado. |

05-11-22 | Marlins v. Diamondbacks -105 | 11-3 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 48 m | Show
The Miami Marlins struggling to get back to the .500 mark as they sit at 13-17 on the season. The Marlins lost for the third straight game last night at Arizona, 3-9. They look to salvage one game here today in this series. They have lost nine of their last 10 games. Sandy Alcantara gets the nod today with a 2-2 record in his six starts. Alcantara has a 3.03 ERA and 1.318 WHIP. He has struggled a bit of late, allowing seven earned runs over his lastt 10 2/3 innings of work. Despite playing in arguably the best division in baseball, the NL West, the D'backs have held their own going 17-14. They won for the third time in a row last night and the 7th time in their last eight games. Merrill Kelly has been excellent for the D'backs. He has a 3-1 record in his six starts with a 1.22 ERA. Moreover, Kelly has allowed just one run over his lat 15 2/3 innings with 12 walks and just two KO's. I'm taking the hot D'backs here today. |

05-11-22 | Phillies v. Mariners -141 | 4-2 | Loss | -141 | 5 h 47 m | Show
IL action here on Wednesday has the Phillies taking on Seattle. This is the final game of this three-game set with the teams splitting the first two games. Philly won the opener 9-0 before losing yesterday's contest, 4-5. The Phils will call up Bailey Falter to start game three here today. This is because two of the team's starters are currently on the Covid list. Falter was a long reliever when he started the season, but he won't be able to go much past 60 pitches today. Seattle looks to turn its recent fortunes around. The Mariners have won two of their last three games, but lost 12 of their last 14. Logan Gilbert will start his seven game and is one of the best for the M's. He's 4-0 this season with a 1.64 ERA and 1.081 WHIP. The team is 5-1 in his starts also. I'll take the Mariners with a very good starter vs the Phils with an unknown starter. Play Seattle. |
|||||||

Bumgarner is yet to allow more than one earned run in any of his six starts this season. Difficult to believe that the D'backs are home dog with Bumgarner on the hill. That's ok, we'll take it. |

Houston has won seven straight games to improve to 18-10 on the season. During this win streak they have seen their total go under in six of the seven games. They have received stellar pitching, holding their last seven opponents to two runs or fewer. Justin Verlander goes today and he's once again on his game. Verlander is 3-1 in his five starts with a 1.93 ERA and 0.704 WHIP. He's been even better on the road with a 0.90 ERA and 0.650 WHIP in three starts. The Twins have improved to 18-11 with a three-game win streak. They have also received excellent pitching, allowing just four total runs in their three game sweep of the A's. Joe Ryan starts today for the A's. Ryan is 3-1 in his five starts with a 1.63 ERA and 0.831 WHIP. Both pitchers have been excellent, both teams pitching also excellent. I'm taking UNDER. |
|||||||
05-10-22 | Red Sox v. Braves UNDER 7.5 | 9-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 43 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox look to snap a five-game losing streak here today as they sit at just 10-19 overall and in last in the AL East. The Sox offense has been pretty pathetic with just five total runs over their last four games. Garrett Whitlock will start today with a 0-1 record and nice 1.50 ERA in his three starts. The Braves have won two straight games as they look to get back to the .500 mark at 14-16 overall on the season. Kyle Wright is 3-1 in his five starts for the Braves with a 1.74 ERA and 0.968 WHIP. Tampa Bay saw its six-game win streak snapped last night by Seattle, 1-2. The Rays took a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the ninth but got tied in the 9th and lost it in the 10th. The pitching has been very good for the Rays. Jeffrey Springs makes his second start of the season here tonight. Springs went 2 2/3 in his first game, allowing three hits and one run. The LA Angels lead the NL East division. It looks like a two game race with the Astros as no other team is above .500 mark. The Angels beat Washington last night, 5-4. That was their fourth win in their last five games. Their big acquisition in the offseason, Noah Syndergaard hasn't disappointed thus far with a 2-1 record in four starts and a 2.63 ERA and 0.958 WHIP. I look for this to be a low scoring contest here tonight. I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
05-09-22 | A's v. Tigers UNDER 7 | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 7 h 39 m | Show
Two teams in desperate need of a win meet tonight. One of these teams will snap a losing streak while the other will continue with one. Paul Blackburn will start tonight and he's been their best with a 3-0 record in five starts and a 2.22 ERA with a 0.945 WHIP. Blackburn has allowed more than two runs in a start just one time and that was last game vs Tampa Bay where he gave up three runs. The Tigers have lost five in a row after the Astros swept a four-game series. The Tigers scored two runs or fewer in each of their four loss to the Astros. In fact, they have scored three runs or fewer in 10 of the last 11 games. Michael Pineda will start today with a 1-1 record in his three starts and a 3.77 ERA. He's been better at home with a 1-0 record in two starts and a 1.93 ERA. This looks to be another low scoring affair. Play UNDER. |

The Brewers feasted on the Reds last week, taking all three games by a combined score of 34-12. The Brewers look for more of the same here tonight as they look to snap a 2-game losing streak after dropping two of three at Atlanta. Brandon Woodruff gets the start for the Brewers with a 3-1 record in five starts and a 5.18 ERA. Woodruff got the win in his start last week against the Reds, 6-3. The Reds have improved to 5-23 if you consider they won just 3 of their first 20 games and two of their last three games. Sure, it was against Pittsburgh. The Reds have activated Luis Castillo today from the 10-day IL. The Reds have had a whopping 14-players on the DL this year. I don't expect to see Castillo in top form yet as that will take some time. I'm laying the Run Line with the Brewers. |
|||||||

The Detroit Tigers look to snap a four-game losing streak here today and avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the Astros. Wily Peralta makes his first start today for the Tigers after working 8 1/3 innings in the bullpen and allowing no earned runs. Peralta will have to be very good because the Tigers haven't scored more than two runs in any of the last four games and not more than three in any of the last six. The Houston Astros have a six game winning streak on the line here today. Their pitching has been stellar, allowing two runs or fewer in six straight and seven of the last eight. Jake Odorizzi will make is 6th start today after going 2-2. He has a 4.15 ERA and at home a 3.68 ERA. With the low scores in both these teams games of late, I'll take the UNDER here today. |

Nestor has also allowed just three walks on the year to go with his 28 KO's. The Blue Jays look to salvage one game against the Yankees here tonight. Yusei Kikuchi will be the one to try and get that win. He's 0-1 in his four starts with a 5.52 ERA and 1.909 WHIP. Yankees just too hot to go against at this point. I'll lay the price with New York. |

|||||||
05-01-22 | Astros v. Blue Jays UNDER 7.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 3 h 57 m | Show
The Houston Astros look to stay above the .500 mark here today in their final game of this series with the Blue Jays. The 11-10 Astros had their four-game win streak snapped on Saturday by the Jays, 1-2. That makes four of the last five games that have gone UNDER. Framber Valdez gets the start today. Valdez is 1-1 in his four starts with a 3.14 ERA. Surprisingly, Valdez has pitched better on the road where he has a 0.57 ERA in his three starts. The Toronto Blue Jays are 14-8 and in 2nd place in the AL East behind the Yankees. Kevin Gausman is 1-1 with a 2.19 ERA this season in his four starts. He also has a nice 1.013 WHIP and has not allowed a walk all season to go with his 35 KO's. Should be a lot of swing and misses in this game with these pitchers going. I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
05-01-22 | Padres -1.5 v. Pirates | 5-2 | Win | 105 | 4 h 43 m | Show
The San Diego Padres dropped to 14-8 after losing their Extra Inning game on Saturday to the Pirates, 6-7. The Padres have now scored at least six runs in each of their last five games (all going over). Joe Musgrove will take to the hill today with a 3-0 record after four starts. Musgrove also has a nifty 2.16 ERA and 0.880 WHIP. The Pirates improved to 9-12 with their win last night. That win snapped a four game losing streak for the Bucs. They send Mitch Keller to the hill today. Keller is 0-3 in his four starts with a 6.62 ERA and 1.641 WHIP. In his two starts at home he is 0-2 with a 8.63 ERA. I'm going to lay the Run Line here today with the Padres and a very good Musgrove on the hill. |
|||||||
04-30-22 | Reds v. Rockies -138 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 1 m | Show |
The Cincinnati Reds have firmly established themselves as the worst team in baseball with a 3-17 record. They have lost four straight games and 15 of the last 16 games. They lost game one of this series with the Rockies last night, 4-10. That's 34 runs they have allowed over the last four games. The Reds will try something different today as they start Connor Overton. Overton gets his first start of the season here today as the Reds look for something to change their fortunes. Overton had a 2.84 ERA at Triple A Louisville in 19 innings of work. The Rockies improved to 11-9 and snapped a four game losing streak with the win last night. Chad Kuhl will make his fourth start here today and is 2-0 on the season. Kuhl has been very good with a 1.10 ERA and 0.919 WHIP allowing just two total runs over 16 1/3 innings of work. I'll take the Rockies here today even with new blood on the mound for the Reds. Take Colorado. |
|||||||
04-30-22 | Yankees -1.5 v. Royals | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 7 h 59 m | Show
The NY Yankees have taken over first place in the AL East thanks to a seven game win streak. The Yankees beat the Royals in game one of their series, 12-2. The Bronx Bombers have been hitting the cover off the ball in recent games, outscoring their opposition 49-19 over their last five games. Gerrit Cole gets the start today with a 1-0 record in his four starts. He has a 4.00 ERA and 1.166 WHIP. Cole coming off his best start of the season against Cleveland, pitching 6 2/3 innings and allowing four hits and no runs. The Royals dropped to 7-11 with last night's loss to the Yankees. That makes them 2-6 over their last eight games. Carlos Hernandez starts today with no record over his three starts. He also has a 6.43 ERA and 1.787 WHIP. The way the Yanks are hitting the ball and with a suspect pitcher on the hill for the Royals, I'll lay the Run Line with the Yankees. |
|||||||
04-30-22 | Red Sox v. Orioles UNDER 8 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 54 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox improved to 9-12 with their win over the Orioles on Friday in game one of their series, 3-1. That makes three straight games that the Red Sox have allowed just one run to their opponent. Nathan Eovaldi gets the start today for the Sox. Eovaldi is 1-0 in his four starts with a 3.32 ERA and 1.108 WHIP. The Orioles are 6-14 and now have a five game losing streak. Spenser Watkins will make his fourth start today with no record. Watkins has no record with a 2.77 ERA and 1.231 WHIP. Both pitchers are very good and the Orioles have had issue scoring runs this year. I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-30-22 | Twins v. Rays UNDER 7.5 | 9-1 | Loss | -118 | 4 h 60 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins had their seven game win streak snapped last night at Tampa Bay in the first game of their series with the Rays, 1-6. They are 11-9 now and the only team in the AL Central with a winning record. In fact, all the other teams are at least four games below the .500 mark. Chris Archer will start today with no record in three starts. Archer has pitched well though, posting a 3.18 ERA and 1.324 WHIP. He hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his three starts. The Tampa Bay Rays are 12-8 after winning three straight and five of the last six games. They have held five of their last six opponents to two runs or fewer. Shane McClanahan gets the start today with a 1-1 record and 2.45 ERA. He has allowed just five walks while recording 31 KO's. Both teams have excellent pitching and I'll be playing the UNDER here today. |
|||||||
04-30-22 | Nationals v. Giants -1.5 | 3-9 | Win | 100 | 4 h 53 m | Show
The Nationals pulled a huge shock on Friday by scoring 14 runs against one of the best pitching staffs in baseball, the Giants. That was not only a season high in runs for the Nats, but more runs then their last seven games combined. Joan Adon gets the start for the Nats today with a 1-3 record in four starts. Adon has a 6.98 ERA and 1.655 WHIP. He has one start vs the Giants and went four innings, allowing six hits and five runs to absorb the loss. The Giants fell a half game back of the Padres in the NL West with last night's loss. The 14 runs allowed by the Giants were more than they have allowed combined in their last six games. Logan Webb starts today with a 2-1 record and 2.96 ERA. I look for the Giants to rebound big time here today vs the Nats. I'll lay the Run Line with San Francisco. |
|||||||
04-29-22 | Nationals v. Giants -1.5 | 14-4 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 1 m | Show
The Washington Nationals look to snap a 8-game losing streak as they head West to begin a West Coast swing that could get ugly with the Giants up first. The offense has been horrible, scoring three runs or fewer in nine straight games. Don't expect it to get any easier tonight against one of the best pitching staffs in baseball. Aaron Sanchez will toe the rubber for the Nats. Sanchez has one start and it wasn't pretty, just 4 1/3 innings, six hits and four runs against these Giants in a 2-5 loss. The Giants are just a half game back of the Padres in the very good NL West with a 13-6 record. The Giants lost a tough one last night their Bay City Rivals, Oakland, 0-1. That snapped a five-game winning streak for the Giants. Alex Wood goes today with a 2-0 record in his three starts. Wood has a nifty 2.51 ERA with a 1.186 WHIP and has 16 KO's against just four walks. I'll lay the RUN LINE here tonight with the Giants. |
|||||||
04-29-22 | Reds v. Rockies -113 | 4-10 | Win | 100 | 9 h 26 m | Show
The Cincinnati Reds have dropped to 3-16 after getting swept by the San Diego Padres in a series where they were outscored by a 16-24 margin. The Reds have lost three straight and their only win in the last 14 games was on April 24 in a 4-1 win over St Louis. Today they will send Hunter Greene to the mound who is 1-2 overall in his three starts and has one of the Reds three wins this year. Greene has a 5.27 ERA with a 1.391 WHIP. Greene has been consistent, allowing three runs in each of his starts. The Rockies have dropped to 10-9 after losing their last four games and beings swept by at Philadelphia. They were outscored by the Phillies in that series 9-32. They return home here today and Antonio Senzatela will start with a 1-1 record in his three starts. Senzatela has a 4.73 ERA. However, at home he is 2-0 with a 2.16 ERA. Neither team or pitcher playing all that well, but I have to take the Rockies at home against the worst team in baseball. Play Colorado. |
|||||||
04-29-22 | Yankees -1.5 v. Royals | 12-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 55 m | Show
The NY Yankees have got hot, winning six straight games to pull within a half game of AL East leader Toronto at 13-6. The Yankees have been hitting well too, scoring 37 runs over their four games while allowing 16. Nestor Cortes starts for the Yanks and has no record after three starts. However, he could easily be 3-0 with his 1.15 ERA and 0.639 WHIP. Cortes allowed his first runs of the season his last game, a 6 1/3 effort vs the Guardians, allowing 1 hit and two runs, 8 KO's and two walks. In fact, he now has 25 KO's and just two walks. The Royals improved to 7-10 with their win on Thursday over the White Sox, 5-2. Still, they have lost five of their last seven games. Kris Bubic will start today with a 0-1 record in three starts. He has last more than two innings just one time and has a 14.14 ERA and 3.000 WHIP. The Yankees with Cortes should walk away with this one. I'll lay the RUN LINE with the Yankees. |
|||||||
04-29-22 | Twins +120 v. Rays | 1-6 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 55 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins are 11-8 overall and on a seven game win streak after sweeping the Tigers and White Sox. The pitching has been amazing, they have allowed four runs or fewer in 10 straight games. Dylan Bundy gets the start today and he's been their best pitcher with a 3-0 record, 0.59 ERA, 0.718 WHIP and 12 KO's against just one walk. The Rays have improved to 11-8 after winning two straight games. The Rays will send Corey Kluber to the hill today. Kluber is 0-1 in his three starts with a 3.68 ERA and 1.568 WHIP. Kluber gave up 11 hits in just five innings to go with three run sin his last start against Boston. I get the Twins as a small dog here today with their Ace on the mound and riding a 7-game win streak. yes please. Play Minnesota. |
|||||||
04-28-22 | Diamondbacks v. Cardinals UNDER 7.5 | 3-8 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 32 m | Show
The Arizona Diamondbacks are 8-11 on the season after winning their last two games against the Dodgers. The D'backs will send Humberto Castellanos to the hill today. Castellanos is 1-0 in his two starts with a 2.00 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. He's allowed two runs over his 9 innings of total work, five hits, four walks and six KO's. St Louis is 10-7 on the season after snapping a three game win streak on Wednesday, 10-5, over theM Mets. They scored more runs on Wednesday then their last three games combined. The Cardinals have been a good under team though, with a 7-2 O/U record their last nine games. Dakota Hudson starts today with a 1-1 record and 3.95 ERA over his three games. Hudson is coming off an excellent start where he gave up no runs to the Reds over 6 2/3 innings with just two hits. I'm taking the UNDER here this evening. |
|||||||
04-27-22 | A's +157 v. Giants | 1-0 | Win | 157 | 12 h 38 m | Show
Battle by the Bay continues here tonight as the Giants host the A's. The A's look to keep their heads above the .500 mark as they sit at 9-9 overall on the season. The A's lost game one of this series yesterday, 2-8. Fourth game in a row the A's have scored two runs or fewer. Paul Blackburn takes to the hill today for the A's. Blackburn has been excellent this year with a 2-0 record in three starts with a 1.80 ERA and 0.800 WHIP. He has just one walk against his 14 KO's. The Giants took over 1st place in the NL West with their win on Tuesday night as they sit 13-5, a half game ahead of the Dodgers. Sam Long makes his third start of the season for the Giants. Long is one of those relievers who starts and only will go a inning or two. In his two starts he has three innings with three hits and not runs. A's are a excellent live dog here today with Blackburn on the hill. Take Oakland. |
|||||||
04-27-22 | Astros v. Rangers +105 | 4-3 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 38 m | Show
The Lone Star State battle here between Houston and Texas continues here on Wednesday. The Astros took game one last night, 5-1. Still the Astros have been slumping as they have won two of their last seven games. The Houston Astros are facing a grueling 33 games in 34 days, so they are bringing up Cristian Javier to start today. Javier joins a six-man Astros rotation. Texas dropped to 6-11 after losing last night. The Rangers are 4-2 their last six and playing better. Glenn Otto makes only his second start of the season. Otto went five innings, allowing two hits and five runs in his first start. He also had five KO's to go with just one walk. The Rangers have been playing better and if Otto pitches like he did in his first start they will win here tonight. Play Texas. |
|||||||
04-27-22 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 9 | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 34 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox look to snap out their four game losing streak. They have also lost six of their last seven games. Michael Wacha will get the start today. Wacha is 1-0 with a 1.88 ERA over his 19 1/3 innings of work. Wacha has been the one bright spot for the Red Sox this year. Conversely, the Blue Jays have been very good at 12-6 and in 1st place in the AL East. Ross Stripling starts for the Jays who is 0-0 in his two starts with a 3.38 ERA. Stripling should do well against this struggling Red Sox team and Wacha should keep the game close. I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-27-22 | Marlins -137 v. Nationals | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 41 m | Show
The Miami Marlins look to get above the .500 mark here tonight after winning their last three games. Their best pitcher is on the mound here today as Pablo Lopez takes to the hill. Lopez is 2-0 in his three starts with a 0.52 ERA and 0.750 WHIP. Lopez has not allowed a run over his last two starts, 12 1/3 innings. The Washington Nationals are in a free fall as they have lost six straight games. They haven't scored more than three runs in any of those losses. Today's starter, Erick Fedde hasn't done well either with a 1-1 record in three starts and a 6.75 ERA. Fedde allowed eight hits and six earned runs over just 3 1/3 inning in his last start against Arizona. I'm taking the Marlins with their best pitcher on the hill. |
|||||||
04-27-22 | Padres -1.5 v. Reds | 8-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 54 m | Show
The San Diego Padres improved to 11-7 with their win over the Reds on Tuesday, 9-6. The Padres need to take advantage of these types of games since they play in the tough NL West division. Mackenzie Gore will start today for the Padres. Gore is 1-0 in his two starts with a 1.74 ERA and 1.065 WHIP. Gore has 10 KO's and four walks. The Reds have just three wins and have lost 12 of their last 13 games. In fact, had you laid the Run Line against them in their last 12 losses you would have won ALL 12 of those games. Vladimir Gutierrez starts today with an 0-3 record in his three starts, a 5.54 ERA and 1.692 WHIP. Walks have been an issue with nine free passes against just nine KO's. I'll lay the run line with the Padres and stick to the plan. |
|||||||
04-26-22 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays -1.5 | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 29 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have struggled to a 7-10 mark thus far on the season. The Sox have lost three straight and five of their last six games after dropping game one of this series with the Blue Jays last night, 2-6. Moreover, this Red Sox team is having issues scoring runs as they have scored three runs or fewer in seven of their last eight games. Nick Pavetta will start today as he looks for his first win after an 0-3 start to the season. Pivetta has had it rough, allowing 13 runs over 11 2/3 innings (10.03 ERA) and having nine walks and 10 KO's on the year. Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays are in 1st in the NL East with a 11-6 record after beating Boston last night. The Jays have won five of their last six games. Kevin Gausman is 1-1 after three starts for the Jays with a 2.89 ERA and 1.125 WHIP. He has not allowed a walk yet this year against his 22 KO's. Gausman should have little trouble against the offensively struggling Sox team tonight. I'll lay the Run Line with the Blue Jays. |
|||||||
04-26-22 | Orioles v. Yankees UNDER 8 | 8-12 | Loss | -120 | 6 h 27 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles had their modest 2-game win streak snapped last night in the final game of their series with the Angels, 6-7. The Baltimore bats have come alive finally, scoring 20 runs over the last four games. That more runs then they scored in the previous nine games. Jordan Lyles is 1-1 with a 3.52 ERA this year for the O's. Lyles has been one of their better pitchers. He had a rough start in game one, allowing five runs. However, his last two games he has only give up one run over 10 1/3 innings of work. The NY Yankees have won three straight and five of the last six to improve to 10-6 on the season. The pitching staff has been excellent with the Bullpen having just a 2.44 ERA and at Yankee stadium that goes down to just 1.85 ERA. Luis Severino will get his fourth start for the Yankees tonight. Severino is 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA, four walks and 14 KO's in his 13 innings of work. With two good pitchers and a very good Yankees pen, I'll take the UNDER here today. |
|||||||
04-26-22 | Padres -1.5 v. Reds | 9-6 | Win | 100 | 6 h 1 m | Show
It's a dog fight in the best MLB division in baseball, the NL West. The Padres expect to be in the thick of it too as they sit 10-7 overall right now and in fourth place. The Padres are coming off a loss on Sunday to the Dodgers, 2-10, losing two of the three games to LA. Now they get to feast on what has been the worst team in baseball, the Reds. Joe Musgrove will get the start today as he's 2-0 after three starts with a nice 1.89 ERA and 0.737 WHIP. Musgrove has 21 KO's and just one walk on the season. The Reds finally snapped a 11-game losing streak on Sunday with their win over the Cardinals, 4-1. It was also the most runs the Cardinals have scored since tehy got five runs against the Guardians back on April 12th. River Sanmartin has struggled in his two starts this year, going 8 total innings and allowing 12 hits and 10 runs for a 11.75 ERA and 2.350 WHIP. He also has as many walks on the year as KO's (6). The Reds look to have a long season and it won't get any easier against Musgrove tonight. Play the Padres on the Run Line. |
|||||||
04-25-22 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks +172 | 4-0 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 24 m | Show
The NL West is arguably the best division in baseball with the Dodgers, Giants and Padres all contenders to go to the World Series. The Dodgers and Giants both have 11 wins while the Padres and Rockies have 10. The Diamondbacks, well they have the misfortune of being in this division and have just six wins. The Dodgers once again have excellent starters and a great bullpen. They have held their last five opponents and 11 of the last 12 to three runs or fewer each game. Walker Buehler will start today at 1-1 on the season after three starts. Buehler has a 4.02 ERA and 1.468 WHIP. He has yet to allow more than three runs in any of his three starts. The D'backs are not one of the better hitting teams in the league, but they have scraped together six wins. At least three of those wins as +1.50 or higher underdogs. Merrill Kelly starts today and he's pitching great for the D'backs. Kelly has a 1-0 record after three starts with a 0.59 ERA and 1.174 WHIP. Kelly has allowed just one run over 15 1/3 innings with six walks and 18 KO's. For me, Kelly is a nice dog and worth a shot here today against the Dodgers. Play Arizona. |
|||||||
04-25-22 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9 | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
The NL West is arguably the best division in baseball with the Dodgers, Giants and Padres all contenders to go to the World Series. For me, Kelly should keep this game low scoring and that is a good UNDER play for me tonight. |
|||||||
04-25-22 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 8 | 2-6 | Push | 0 | 7 h 50 m | Show
AL East clash here today has the 7-9 Boston Red Sox taking on the first place Toronto Blue Jays who are 10-6. The Jays are tied with the Yankees for first and have won two straight and four of the five games. They conclude their four game series here tonight and are guaranteed at least a split. Jose Berrios will start his four game here tonight for the Jays. Berrios is 1-0 with a 6.35 ERA and 2.030 WHIP. After a couple of rough starts, Berrios calmed down in game three with six innings of work and only one run. The Boston Red Sox have two in a row and four of their last five. Nathan Eovaldi starts tonight and is 1-0 after three starts with a 3.68 ERA. Eovaldi is coming off his best start too, going 4 2/3 innings and allowing one run. Both pitchers have a excellent start to build off of and tonight I look for the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-25-22 | Giants v. Brewers UNDER 7 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 53 m | Show
The SF Giants have won three games to improve to 11-5 on the season and just behind the Dodgers for the NL West lead by a 1/2 game. The Giants once again have one if not the best pitching staff in baseball, Thy have held Washington to just six total runs and won all three games. Now today they play at Milwaukee to play just one game. The Giants start Sam Long who will likey only go a few innings today. Long has one start and that was just two innings with two hits and no runs. The Brewers have improved to 10-6 after winning two straight games and seven of the last eight. Their Ace, Corbin Burnes goes today. Burnes is 1-0 in his three starts with a 2.37 ERA and 0.789 WHIP. This looks like a great pitching day in Milwaukee. I'll take UNDER. |
|||||||
04-24-22 | Cardinals -133 v. Reds | 1-4 | Loss | -133 | 3 h 9 m | Show
It just goes from bad to worse for the Reds at this time. Their loss to the Cardinals on Saturday dropped them to 2-13 on the season. And, like has happened so often, the offense took the day off. They lost game one to the Cardinals, 2-4 and then lost Saturday, 0-5. That means they have lost 11 in a row and have scored two runs or fewer in their last seven games. The Reds started the season well, scoring five or more runs in four of their first five games. Since then, they haven't scored more than three runs in a game. Their odds don't look much better today as Nick Lodolo starts. Lodolo is 0-2 in his two starts with a 8.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP. The Cardinals have feasted on the Reds thus far. Today likely won't be any different with Adam Wainwright on the mound. Wainwright is 2-1 in his three starts with a 2.81 ERA and 1.375 WHIP. I'll just keep betting against the Reds until they show some life. Play St Louis. |
|||||||
04-24-22 | Giants -1.5 v. Nationals | 12-3 | Win | 100 | 3 h 5 m | Show
Three teams in the NL West now have 10 wins and the Giants are one of them as they trail the Dodgers by just a half game in the division. It's going to be a dog fight between the top three all season. The Giants have won two straight games after taking the first two in this series with Washington. They have outscored the Nationals, 12-3 with their outstanding pitching putting the cuffs on the Nats. No relief in this staff either as Logan Webb takes to the rubber today. Webb is 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA and 1.075 WHIP in his three starts. Washington has dropped to 6-11 after losing four straight games. Joan Adon will look to snap that losing streak. Adon is 1-2 with a 5.87 ERA after three starts. Adon doesn't have the best control either with nine walks in three games. Can't go against this Giants staff with a poor Nats team. I'll lay the run line today with the Giants. |
|||||||
04-23-22 | Orioles v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | 5-4 | Loss | -104 | 7 h 55 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles have scored more runs in the last two games (9) then they have in the last four games combined. In fact, the O's have been held to two runs or fewer in nine of their 14 games. Yet, they have won two of their last three games. Spenser Watkins will go today and he has no record in his two starts. Watkins has a terrific ERA of 2.25 over his eight innings of work and a 1.250 WHIP. His one drawback is that he's allowed more walks (4) then he has KO's (2). The Angels had their modest 2-game win streak snapped last night by the O's. They are tied for the most wins (8) in the AL West. One time NY Met, Noah Syndergaard starts tonight and he's been in dominant in the AL as he was in the NL. Sydergaard has a 2-0 record, 1.59 ERA, 0.794 WHIL and has five KO's with two walks. I don't expect Baltimore to get much here tonight against Syndergaard so I'll take the UNDER. |
|||||||
04-23-22 | Blue Jays -113 v. Astros | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 2 h 57 m | Show
The Toronto Blue Jays lead the AL East with a 9-5 record after winning three straight games including last night's at Houston, 4-3. The Jays will send Alek Manoah to the hill having won both his first starts this year. Manoah has a 1.50 ERA and 0.917 WHIP and has 13 KO's though he does have six walks. The Houston Astros have dropped to 6-7 after losing three straight games and four of the last five. The Astros have only scored five total runs over their last three games, all at home. Jose Urquidy will make his third start after a 1-1 record. However, he has a high ERA of 7.00 and a WHIP of 1.444. I'm going to take the Jays here today on the road with Manoah. Play Toronto. |

04-23-22 | Cardinals +105 v. Reds | Top | 5-0 | Win | 105 | 2 h 56 m | Show |
The Cincinnati Reds continue their slide as they are now just 2-12 on the year. THey have also lost 10 straight games after yesterday's setback to the Cardinals, 2-4. And, yesterday marked the seventh straight game of scoring two runs or fewer. Tim Mahle has one of the team's two wins this year. Mahle has a 5.68 ERA and 1.579 WHIP. The Cardinals improved to 8-4 on the season with their win yesterday. They have won three of the last four and five of the last seven. Dakota Hudson starts today with a 0-1 record and 7.71 ERA in his two starts. This could be the best shot for the Reds to win a game, but I'm still not convinced. I'll stick with the Cardinals. |

04-23-22 | Rangers v. A's -125 | 2-0 | Loss | -125 | 2 h 53 m | Show
The Texas Rangers have improved to 4-9 on the season after a pair of wins, including last night's opener against the A's, 8-1. Pitching as been an issue for the Rangers with five pitchers who have started all having an ERA of 6.75 or greater. Today's starter, Martin Perez, is one of those. Perez has a 6.75 ERA and 2.000 WHIP in his two starts. He's also walked four against just seven KO's. Oakland dropped to 8-7 with yesterday's loss to the Rangers. They are still looking to put together a nice win streak, with the best so far at just two games. Frankie Montas will start today for the A's with a 2-1 record after three starts. Montas has a nice 3.64 ERA with a 0.923 WHIP. He has just three walks to go with his 17 KO's this year. I like Montas here today. Play the A's. |

04-23-22 | White Sox v. Twins -130 | 2-9 | Win | 100 | 2 h 52 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox hope to put the skids to a five-game losing streak here today in Minnesota. They lost game one last night, 1-2. In fact, they have score just one run in three of their last four games. Vincent Velasquez will start today. He has two starts this year and has a 0-1 record with a 4.15 ERA. The Twins have improved to 6-8 after winning their last two games. The AL Central is al tight with all teams have either five, six or seven wins this year. Dylan Bundy will start today and has a 2-0 record after two starts. He's been the best Twins pitcher, allowing just one run over 10 1/3 innings with one walk and eight KO's. Bundy has been very good and I will stick with him here today. Play Minnesota. |

04-23-22 | Giants -1.5 v. Nationals | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 3 h 35 m | Show
The San Francisco Giants opened this 3-game set at Washington with a convincing win on Friday, 7-1. The Giants improved to 9-5 overall and 2nd place in the NL West. Alex Wood gets the start for the Giants and has pitched excellent after two starts. Wood has a 1-0 record with a 1.93 ERA, allowing nine hits over 9 1/3 innings with three walks and 11 KO's. The Nationals are 6-10 on the season and have now droped three straight games. During this losing streak they have scored a total of six runs and allowed 22 runs. The Nationals will start Aaron Sanchez today who just recently joined the team. Sanchez has three Triple-A starts with a 3.60 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. Don't really think it matters who the Nats start, the Giants have too many excellent pitchers. Lay the Run Line with the Giants. |

04-22-22 | Orioles v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles dropped to 4-9 on the season after losing last night at Oakland, 4-6. That game also marked the first time all season that an Orioles game had gone OVER the total. The O's are now 1-11-1 O/U/P on the year. The biggest problem for the O's is the last of hitting. They have scored 3 runs or fewer in 10 of their 13 games this season. Their highest scoring output was just five runs. Bruce Zimmermann will start today. Zimmermann has no record after two starts and he has yet to allow a run over his nine innings of work with four walks and 10 KO's. With the O's lack of hitting and Zim on the mound today, this is an UNDER play for me. |

04-22-22 | Orioles v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show

04-22-22 | White Sox v. Twins UNDER 7.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 36 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox look to stay above .500 tonight when the take on the Twins in game one of their three-game set from Minnesota. The Sox have lost four straight games after losing last night at Cleveland, 3-6. They have not scored more than three runs in any of their last seven games. Micheal Kopech gets his third start tonight. Kopech has a 1.00 ERA over nine innings, allowing one run, three hits, four walks and eight KO's. The Twins have sputtered to a 5-8 mark through 13 games. Though they did win last night to salvage a game in their series with the Royals, 1-0. Like the Sox, this team has not hit well at all, scoring one run over their last two games and four runs over the last three games. Bailey Ober is 1-1 in his two starts as he take to the hill tonight for start number three. Ober has a 3.27 ERA over his 11 innings, allowing eight hits, four runs, three walks and seven KO's. With these two poor hitting teams and two decent pitchers I'll take the UNDER. |

04-22-22 | Red Sox v. Rays UNDER 8.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 37 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have dropped below the .500 mark after losing two straight games and three of their last four. The Sox, like so many other teams, not hitting the ball much early in the season. They have score five runs over their last three games and have five under games in their last six games. Michael Wacha gets the start tonight with no record after two starts. Wacha has pitched well, but is a victim of poor hitting as he has just a 0.96 ERA in his two starts with a 0.857 WHIP. The Tampa Bay Rays are 7-6 overall this season and have lost two of their last two games and three of the last four. Again, a victim of poor hitting, the Rays have scored three runs or fewer in each of their last four games. They have also gone under in five of the last six games. I'm not going to change until I see teams start hitting better. Take the UNDER. |

04-22-22 | Cardinals -117 v. Reds | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 7 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds begin a 3-game set tonight. The Cardinals are coming off a loss to Miami, 0-5. However, they did take two of the three from the Marlins. In fact, the Cardinals have not lost a series yet this season. Steven Matz will start for the Cardinals today. Matz is 1-1 on the season with a 7.27 ERA and 1.499 WHIP. It was his first start of the season against Pittsburgh that did all the damage as he allowed seven runs over three innings. Matz pitched more like what we would expect in his second start against Milwaukee, going 5 2/3 innings and allowing three hits, no runs, no walks and six KO's. The Reds look to be the worst team in baseball right now with just two wins and 11 losses on the season. Moreover, they have dropped nine straight games after their loss to the Padres on Wednesday, 0-6. The offense is almost non existent, scoring three runs or fewer in eight straight games. Hunter Greene will start today with a 1-1 record after two starts, a 4.36 ERA and 1.065 WHIP. Not difficult to take the Cardinals here tonight until we see some life out this Cincinnati team. Play St Louis. |

04-21-22 | Cardinals v. Marlins -125 | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 46 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals improved to 7-3 after taking the first two games of this 3-game set with the Marlins. The Cards look for the sweep today and they will send Jordan Hicks to the mound for his first ever MLB start. Hicks has had his fastball clocked at over 105 mph and has plenty of potential. However, Tommy John surgery has kept him on the shelf for most of the last 2 1/2 years. Don't expect Hicks to go past three innings here today as they Cards don't want to overuse him. The Marlins dropped to 4-7 after losing the last two games to St Louis. Pablo Lopez will make his third start of the season after a pair of very nice starts. Lopez has a 0.87 ERA over his 10 1/3 innings of work. I will take the Marlins with Lopez here today to salvage the rubber game of this set. Play Miami. |

04-21-22 | Orioles v. A's -116 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 42 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles are just 4-8 on the season after their first 12 games. They got a win against two losses vs these A's, winning last night 1-0. The O's have scored one run in each of the first three games vs the A's. Tyler Wells will get the start with a 0-1 record after two starts. Well has a 6.35 ERA but pitched well in his second start vs the Yankees. He allowed just three hits over four innings with no runs. The A's dropped to 7-6 with their loss on Wednesday to the O's. They have received very good pitching this year while the hitting has been inconsistent. Paul Blackburn gets the start today with a 1-0 record after two starts. He has gone five innings in each of his starts, allowing just two total runs and posting 10 KO's and one walk. Short line here today for the A's who get the light hitting O's. I'll take Oakland. |

04-21-22 | Twins v. Royals UNDER 8 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 1 h 15 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins are just 4-8 after 12 games. The Twins have lost two straight games in this series with the Royals. They are also 1-4 their last five games. Joe Ryan starts today for the Twins. Ryan is 1-1 after two starts with a 2.70 ERA and 1.100 Whip. The Royals got back to the .500 mark after taking the first two games in this series. Zack Grienke will get his third start of the season for the Royals. Grienke is 0-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 1.081 WHIP. This looks to be another low scoring game with two decent pitchers on the hill. I'll take the UNDER |
