Penn State already into its 7th game of the young season, with a 3-3 S/U and 2-2 ATS mark. The Nittany Lions have beaten Duquesne and then gave Duke all it could handle. PSU lost to Duke, 78-68 as a 19-point dog. With just three games left before Big 10 play, this is a critical road test for the Lions. The Lions don't start a senior on this squad and in fact look to three freshman starts and two Juniors. Meanwhile. George Washington started the season 3-0 before losing back-to-back contests in the CBE Classic to Georgia and UAB. Not much expectation for this year's edition of the Colonials, with three starters gone from last year and the team picked 8th in the conference. This game comes down to the speed and pressure of Penn State against the size of George Washington. This is an important road game for Penn State if they hope to prove worthy of moving forward. The Zags haven't played anyone of consequence yet and failed to cover the 27.5 point line in their 82-62 win over Quinnipiac last night. Florida brings a 5-0 S/U and 3-1 ATS mark into tonight's contest. The Gators have spread wins over Mercer, Belmont and Seton Hall. Gonzaga is ranked 11th in the country and have won their first four games by an average of 25.8 ppg. 06/08 09:00 PM EST NBA (505) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS VS (506) CLEVELAND CAVALIERS Take: (505) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS Reason: The Warriors look unbeatable so far in the FInals, winning both the first games in landslides. So far the Cavs cannot handle the defensive pressure of Golden State, resulting in just 77 points in Sunday's 33-point loss. To make matters even worse, Kevin Love suffered a concussion in the first half after an elbow to the head and his status is unknown for game three. Love did return to play in the second half, but observers stated that he looked disoriented on defense. But in all fairness to Love, he's always looked disoriented on defense. The Warriors have won the first two games without Stephen Curry or Klay Thompson being their high scorer. Draymond Green led the Warriors in game two with 28 points. Unless the Cavaliers can figure out the defensive switching strategy of the Warriors, this could be a very quick series. In addition, James is looking his advanced years, now 33-of-80 (83 points) in his last four games against the Warriors. I just don't trust the Cavaliers at this point and I'm sticking with the team that is looking every bit the Champion they are. Take Golden State.

6/05 8:00 PM EST NBA (503) CLEVELAND CAVALIERS VS (504) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS Take: NBA High Roller Platinum Total: Cleveland/Golden State Game 2 UNDER the total. Both teams are outstanding defensively and will bring that intense defense with the NBA title on the line. Cleveland can play any style but will prefer to focus on defense and a slower pace against the Warriors, especially on the road in Game 2. The did in Game 1 but still lost and the Under is 8-3-1 when the Cavaliers face a team with a winning straight up record. Golden State can play any style, too, as we saw in game 7 last Monday, shutting down a great OKC offense. They then held the Cavs to 38% shooting in Game 1 of the Finals. The Under is 21-8-1 in the Warriors last 30 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. And when these teams clash the Under is 8-3-1. Play Cleveland/Golden State Game 2 UNDER the total.

06/02 09:00 PM EST NBA (501) CLEVELAND CAVALIERS VS (502) GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS Take: (501) NBA Playoff Steam Play: Play Cleveland. Golden State is off a wild 7-game series with Oklahoma City, rallying from a 3-1 deficit, the first team to do that in the Conference Finals since 1981. Now it's a quick turnaround to face the talented and rested Cavaliers. Cleveland was without power forward Kevin Love (shoulder) for all of last season's championship series, lost point guard Kyrie Irving (kneecap) in the opener, but now the Big 3 are together. Irving is averaging 24.3 points and has topped 20 points in 12 of Cleveland's 14 postseason games. The Cavaliers are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games vs. a team with a winning percentage above .600. And the Warriors are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Eastern Conference. Play Cleveland.

The Oklahoma City Thunder did not want this game to happen. And, it looked for the majority of game six that it wouldn't. The Thunder led game six by five points at half and finished the third quarter up by eight. Midway through the fourth quarter, it looked like the Thunder might just be going to the finals, as they led by seven points. However, this is where things fell apart for the Thunder. Golden State, led by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson tied the game with just under three minutes. Thompson set a playoff record with 11 three-points in a game and outscored the Thunder by 15 points to win going away 108-101. Now the clubs return to Northern California where the Thunder will almost certainly have a major letdown. That's what I'm counting on here, that and the knowledge that Golden State won't let the Thunder beat them twice on their home court. Thompson and curry combined for 70 points to lead the Warriors to the win. Favorites of 5 or more points on their home court in game 7 are 22-8 ATS. I'm taking the Warriors here tonight. Get on this line early, because the price will go up on the Warriors. Play Golden State

Golden State had a series saving game on Thursday with a win over the Thunder, 120-111. Now the Warriors have to do something they haven't this entire series, win at Oklahoma City. It's a win or go home game for the Warriors. One thing the Warriors have done is slow down the game a bit. Sure, then wen't over in game 5, but that required big 2nd and 4th quarters to do so. The Warriors also stayed "big" in game five, keeping their small-ball squad on the bench as they went with size. The Thunder will have to improve on what turned out to be one of their worst performances of the season in the pain on Thursday. The Thunder, despite the game 5 loss, are still a very confident team in their ability to beat Golden State. Tonight's game really is a MUST-WIN spot for the Thunder. They realize that going back to Northern Cal will likely result in a game seven loss. Tonight's contest could be the most important in Oklahoma City history and I'm taking them here tonight laying the short number.

Reason: The Cleveland Cavaliers are the only team in the post season that has cruised through every game. The Cavs are a perfect 8-0 and well rested for their Conference finals. On the other end, the Raptors have had to go a full seven games against Indiana and Miami to make it here. Cleveland has had eight days off to prepare and rest for tonight's contest. The Cavs haven't had to totally rely on Lebron James this time, as Kyrie Irving (24.4 ppg) and Kevin Love (18.9 ppg) have both been big contributors. Cleveland has also been red-hot from beyond the 3-point arc, hitting 77 3-points against the Hawks in their four game series. Cleveland has also played great defense in the postseason, holding their opponent to under 100 points in seven of their eight games. The Raptors are just 3-8 ATS their last 11 games, while the Cavs have covered six of their last eight home games. I love this spot for the Cavaliers, well rested players who are hitting on all cylinders. Toronto is over-matched in this contest. Play Cleveland.

Portland looks to even their series with the Golden State Warriors at 2-2 here tonight. The Warriors had anticipated the return of Stephen Curry tonight. However, now that doesn't look to the case, as Curry was downgraded to doubtful tonight. The Warriors usually stellar defense was non-existent in game three, allowing 120 points to the Blazers. Warriors power forward Draymond Green pulled few punches about his team's chances in game four. The All-Star forward has called their opponent "out of its depth" and without "self-belief" and went as far as to predict a win tonight. The Warriors will have to do better defending the perimeter, after allowing the Blazers 17-three point shots. If anything really became apparent, it was that this Warriors club need Curry back in the lineup. With that not happening tonight, I'll take the home team here again as I did in game three. Take Portland.

Game four here from Miami with the Raptors leading the series, 2-1. Miami blew a big opportunity to go up 2-0 after losing their OT game in game two. The Raptors then took game three of the series, 95-91. The Heat are in a must win spot here as the series will return to Canada for game five on Wednesday. If the Heat win tonight, then this series becomes a best of three. As for the Raptors, somehow they have made it thus far. They were outscored in the Indiana series and in the post season they are being outscored 93-94 over the 10 games. In addition, they are hitting just 28.6% from beyond the 3-point arc. The Raptors will also be without their center, Jonas Valanciunas, who will miss the remainder of the playoffs with a sprained knee. Not only will the big center be missed in the paint, but his presence as a thorn in the side of the Heat will also be gone. Miami has been tough at home, covering nine of the last 11. Heat have a big advantage in their starting five and experience and now how to win big games. Take the Heat here in game four.

Reason: NBA 2nd Round Game of the Year: The Miami Heat relied heavily on their veteran players to take game seven from the Bobcats on Sunday, 106-73. Meanwhile, the Raptors advanced from the first round for the first time since 2001. The Heat dominated the Bobcats in games 1,2 and 7, but played sloppy in 3,4,5 and 6. The Raptors really shouldn't have advanced to round two. The Pacers outscored them overall in the seven game series. The Raptors led by 16 in the fourth quarter of game seven and almost lost as the Pacers could have tied the game with 30 seconds to play. The Raptors two big scores (Lowry and DeRozan) averaged almost 13 points less than during the regular season. These teams have met four times this year, but none of those games really featured the same personnel we'll see here today. Quick turn around here tonight and I think the Heat can win this one outright. Take the Heat as your 2nd Round NBA Game of the year.

Big game 7 here today between the Pacers and Raptors. The Raptors finished the season with the No 2 spot in the East and were expected to roll past this Indiana squad. However, the playoffs have never been kind to Toronto and now all the pressure will be on the Raptors. Toronto has not survived a first round match since 2001 and that is when it was best of five. The Pacers have also been dominating the boards. After losing the rebound battle the first three games, the Pacers inserted Myles Turner into the starting lineup and the 6-foot-11 rookie has shut down Toronto's big man in Jonas Valanciunas. With all the pressure on the Raptors here and the Pacers winning the boards the last three games, I'll take the points with Indiana.

So far so good for the Warriors without the best player in the league, Stephen Curry. The Warriors had little problems with Houston after Curry went down. Even without Curry, the Warriors outscored Houston by 60 points with their star on the bench. Curry could even return in this series, possibly as early as game two. Portland got new life in their series with the Clippers when LA lost both its top two players, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. The Blazers only had one day off to prepare for the Warriors, which won't be good for rest. This should be a fast paced series, as the winning team this year has scored at least 128 points. With the short turnaround here for the Blazers I look for them to come out flat in game one. Take Golden State.

4/27 05:05 PM NBA (575) CHARLOTTE HORNETS VS (576) MIAMI HEAT. Take: (576) MIAMI HEAT. Reason: A tough spot for Charlotte, a young team with a losing road record. They also got blown out in Games 1 and 2 of this series on this court. The Heat set a franchise postseason scoring record with 123 points in Game 1 and put up 72 in the first half of a 115-103 Game 2 win. The Hornets are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight up win, plus a 2-5 ATS run on the road. The Miami Heat are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 home games and on a 21-9 ATS run against the Eastern Conference. Play Miami.

04/24 08:35 PM EST NBA (559) CLEVELAND CAVALIERS VS (560) DETROIT PISTONS Take: (559) NBA Playoff High End Steam Play: Cavaliers. Detroit is a flawed team that is down 0-3, ready to get swept by the No. 1 seed. Cleveland's Big 3 combined for 66 points while earning the 101-91 Game 3 victory. The Cavaliers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games playing on one days rest. Detroit shot 48.6% in Game 3 and only missed six free throws (they were last in the NBA in free throw shooting)....and still lost by 10 at home. The Pistons are 4-12-1 ATS playing on one day of rest and the Cavaliers are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Detroit. Play Cleveland.

Each club has held their home court advantage, with Atlanta taking the first two at home and Boston taking game three at the TD Garden, 111-103. Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas had a career-high 42 points in game three. This game has been very physical and looks to be that again here in game four. Game three saw two technical fouls and three flagrant fouls. The Celtics best move though was inserting Jonas Jerbko into the starting lineup. Jerebko had 11 points and 12 rebounds, but more importantly, was instrumental in helping Thomas to get open shots. The Hawks road woes continue, having now gone 0-5 ATS in their last five away games. This series has been a home team's game as the host has gone 6-2 ATS the last eight meetings. I like Boston to even the series here today. Take the Celtics.

4/23 07:35 PM NBA (551) LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS VS (552) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS Take: (552) PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS Reason: Portland is in a must win position here as they return home to the Moda Center for game three. The Blazers are down 0-2 to the Clippers, losing the first two games by a combined 41 points. The good news is, the Blazers were 28-13 at the Moda Center this season. Furthermore, really there were no expectations of any real success this year by the Blazers, who are in a rebuilding season. The pressure really is off the club and on a team that is expected to win, like the Clippers. For the Blazers to be successful tonight, they need to push the ball out on the breaks. That is what has worked for them thus far, though just not enough of it. Portland will play tough tonight and if they are going to win a game, this is the one. The Blazers are 10-4 ATS playing on two days rest, plus 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points. Play Portland. Take the Blazers.

04/23 08:05 PM EST NBA (549) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER VS (550) DALLAS MAVERICKS. Take: (549) OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER Reason: Oklahoma City is in the driver's seat with two blowout wins in three games. They are healthy, young, and the older banged up Dallas Mavericks can hang with them. Oklahoma City rolled to a 131-102 win on Thursday to take a 2-1 series lead. Thunder backup C Enes Kanter had 21 points on 6-of-7 shooting in Game 3 and is averaging 14.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in the series. The Thunder are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Dallas is on a 3-8 ATS run at home and the Thunder are 15-6-1 ATS in the last 22 meetings in Dallas. Play Oklahoma City.

Indiana is home and the Pacers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight up loss. One bright spot in Game 3 was another strong performance from rookie forward/center 6-11 Myles Turner. The 20-year-old finished the night with 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting and also collected eight rebounds and blocked three shots. Play Indiana.
