Our selection is on the Utah Jazz to cover the spread against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday at 9:10pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

New Orleans has a worse record than Utah this year, even off back-to-back wins.

The Pelicans are still just 1-4 over their L5 games played on the road, and this is not a good matchup for them.

In fact, they've lost five of the L6 games between these two teams in Salt Lake City, failing to cover against the spread in all six of them.

Utah has dealt with injury problems all season long. But, it's still been successful versus the spread lately.

The Jazz are 6-3 against the spread over their L9 games and could potentially be getting back Keyonte George tonight.

San Antonio is red hot, winning 10 games in a row coming in.

Over those 10 games, the Spurs are 8-2 against the spread and are winning games convincingly.

They have beaten Brooklyn straight up / versus the spread in six of the L7 games against it.

Brooklyn has lost and failed to cover against the spread in five straight games this season.

The Nets are also 4-18 against opponents from the Western Conference this year.

Our selection is on the Boston Bruins to defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday at 7:07pm ET for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Columbus went into the break winning seven games in a row. We don't expect an eighth straight winner.

The Blue Jackets are just 10-14 over their L24 games played on the road, despite winning five straight.

They have also lost to the Bruins in nine of the L12 games between these two teams.

Boston has won nine home games in a row and should be excited to return back to the TD Garden on Thursday.

The Bruins have great records against the Blue Jackets and the winning will continue today.

Our selection is on the Missouri State Bears / Louisiana Tech Bulldogs to finish UNDER the total for a number of reasons. Here are some of the more important ones:

Missouri State is playing some bad basketball right now, losing five games in a row.

Even though the Bears have allowed a lot during this stretch, this should be a much lower scoring game on Thursday.

The UNDER has hit in three straight games with MOST on the road as an underdog of less than five points.

Louisiana Tech combined for just 113 points with high flying Kennesaw State in it's last game.

The Bulldogs have seen the total stay UNDER in 14 of their 24 games played on the season.

Both teams play slower and focus on defense -- the play is the UNDER.
