Saturday NHL Free play. My selection is on the 'under' between Boston and New York at 7:35 pm et on Saturday.
Both of these teams were involved in high-scoring games last time out with New York staging a minor upset win by a 5-3 score in Detroit and Boston prevailing 5-4 over Vegas. Each of the first two meetings between the Bruins and Islanders this season have gone 'over' the total. In fact, three straight meetings in this series have gone 'over' but I expect a different story to unfold on Saturday. Note that we haven't seen four straight matchups between these two teams go 'over' the total since a long nine-game streak spanning from 2000 to 2002. The 'under' is 26-24 in the Bruins last 50 games following consecutive 'over' results, as is the case here, including a 7-5 mark in that situation this season. Meanwhile, the 'under' is 22-13 in the Islanders last 35 contests when seeking revenge for consecutive losses against an opponent in which it scored three or more goals. Take the under.
