The Angle(s): The UCLA Bruins are perfect 8-0 against the spread, and losing Nico Iamaleava to a season-ending knee injury hasn't slowed them down. Bob Chesney's defense has carried the load, allowing just 17 total points over the last three games, and the Bruins covered comfortably against Michigan State and Nevada with a backup under center.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers are tough at home, but their offense has been stuck in the mud, scoring 13 points in two of their last three games, the exception was 16 points in a loss at Indiana last week. In a low-total grind, the team with the far better defense is the one I want, and Minnesota's offense just isn't built to climb out of a hole against this unit.
