03-28-19 | Magic +3.5 v. Pistons | Top | 98-115 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 48 m | Show |
Orlando at Detroit 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Pistons- Don't look now but, the Magic have won six straight and lead the NBA Southeast with a half-game lead over Miami. Despite leading the division Orlando is still just an eighth seed so they must actually win the division or the fall short of making the playoffs. Detroit has played better of late themselves against the spread going 3-0-1 ATS but are just 1-4 SU in the last five overall. In head-to-head action Orlando is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings against the Pistons as Detroit is just 9-19 ATS in their last 28 versus the NBA Southeast. Take the MAGIC! |
03-27-19 | Lakers v. Jazz -15 | 100-115 | Push | 0 | 12 h 31 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Utah 10:30 ET Jazz (-) over Lakers- 'Break-up the Lakers'...two straight wins has Hollywood on a rampage as the Lakers defeated the Wizards 124-106 last night. Poor Los Angeles now has to play back-to-back game on the second straight night and their wining streak is in jeopardy as LeBron James will most likely sit out to be saved for the off-season. It has been over two months since the Lakers had won two straight and now they travel to Utah where the Jazz are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games. With or without James the Lakers should take a hard fall tonight. Take UTAH! |
03-27-19 | Colorado v. Texas -5.5 | Top | 55-68 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
Colorado at Texas 9:00 ET Longhorns (-) over Buffaloes- Both these clubs won a pair of NIT games at home and will meet in Austin as the second seeded Longhorns will host. But, other then both teams willing to get here they have come by different routes with Colorado getting two covers and are 6-2 ATS in their last eight overall while Texas lost five of their last six until playing in the NIT but haven't covered (0-5 ATS) since March 2. It appears that the Buffaloes would be the side but a glaring weakness on the road has them 6-12 ATS on the road. Take TEXAS! |
03-27-19 | Lipscomb +4 v. NC State | 94-93 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show
Lipscomb at N.C. State 9:00 ET Bisons (+) over Wolfpack- This should be an interesting match-up with an over-valved and over-rated NC State squad against a legitimate small school threat. I'm still have the final score of their home loss to Virginia Tech when on Ground Hog Day February 2, 2019 when the Wolfpack went under-ground and scored just 24 points in a modern day game. Since then they have actually rebounded going 6-2 ATS in their last eight. Okay, fine, but Lipscomb has already won at TCU and SMU and are 27-10-1 ATS in their last 38 road games. Take the BISONS! |
03-27-19 | Pacers v. Thunder -6 | 99-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Indiana at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Thunder (-) over Pacers- This line doesn't make much sense to me when 'we' look at the teams more recent work. We had Megabucks winner Indiana (+) last time out as they crushed Denver 124-88 after a four-game losing streak. OKC on the other side lost to Memphis Monday after a Megabucks win at Toronto following a four-game slide. These two met two weeks ago at Indy where the Pacers came back from a 19-point third quarter deficit and won 108-106 on a tip-in at the buzzer. OKC is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings as hosts and the Thunder are 15-5 ATS against the NBA Central while the Pacers are 6-1 against the NBA Northwest. So, that's a wash and what it comes down to is that this 'price' looks easy to take and taking money from the 'man' is not easy...LAY IT take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
03-27-19 | Warriors -10.5 v. Grizzlies | 118-103 | Win | 100 | 9 h 52 m | Show
Golden State at Memphis 8:00 ET Warriors (-) over Grizzlies- The Warriors just seem to be doing enough to just get by, sort of like most of my early school days but like the kid that passes his final they have a half-game lead in the West over Denver. Golden State is 1-8-1 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a losing record and they are complacent after a win going 2-10 ATS after a straight-up win. But, they are 4-0 SU last four and 5-2 ATS in their last seven meetings against the Grizzlies. Memphis who has no shot of going anywhere have won five of six and are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 overall. They have dropped a pair to the Champs by 16 and 17-points while out West this season and they will have no chance tonight if the Warriors come to play and I believe (always dangerous) they will. Take GOLDEN STATE! |
03-27-19 | Coastal Carolina v. DePaul -7.5 | 87-92 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 8 m | Show
Coastal Carolina at DePaul 8:00 ET Blue Demons (-) over Chanticleers- Now, this is a first...yep the first time these two schools have ever played each other on the hardwood (not to say that they every played on the grin iron or anywhere else for that matter). Both these clubs were below .500 when tourney play started with one major difference and major is the key word. Major as in the difference in conferences from the Big-East to Sun Belt and DePaul who has been a doormat for years won the most games ever. Chanticleers are 2-5 ATS after scoring 100 points and they lite up West Virginia for 109. Not this time. Take BLUE DEMONS! |
03-26-19 | Pistons +7.5 v. Nuggets | 92-95 | Win | 100 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Detroit at Denver 9:05 ET Pistons (+) over Nuggets- Two days ago 'we' posted Indiana as a Megabucks winner over Denver and the Pacers came through with a resounding 124-88 win ending a six-game Nuggets winning streak. Detroit who is scrapping and battling every time out has lost eight of their last nine trips to Denver but are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings. The Nuggets are just 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and are 3-8 ATS against the NBA Central in their last 11 meetings. Take DETROIT! |
03-26-19 | Creighton +3.5 v. TCU | 58-71 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 22 m | Show
Creighton at TCU 9:00 ET Blue Jays (+) over Horned Frogs- If we take a look at the way these two clubs finished the season we can see one is hot and the other is NOT. Creighton has made a late season rush going 7-1 ATS in their last eight while TCU has gone in the opposite direction going a meager 6-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Hornes Frogs even struggled at home at 9-10 ATS although they are an amazing 11-0 ATS in their last 11 non-conference games. That ends tonight...take CREIGHTON! |
03-26-19 | Clippers v. Wolves +2.5 | Top | 122-111 | Loss | -101 | 9 h 2 m | Show |
LA Clippers at Minnesota 8:05 ET Timberwolves (+) over Clippers- The LA Clippers who have won five straight and 11 of the last 12 as they hold a half-game lead in the four-way battle for the 5th playoff spot in the West. Minnesota who has had a year to forget about (starting with the Jimmy Butler desertion) is out of the playoffs but haven't quit on the season and is still playing hard. The T'wolves surprisingly are 23-11 straight-up at home and are 4-1 ATS in their last five meetings against the Clippers. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 25 points with 20 rebounds for the second time in three games on Saturday and is leading the way. Take MINNESOTA! |
03-26-19 | Hawks +1 v. Pelicans | 130-120 | Win | 100 | 9 h 48 m | Show
Atlanta at New Orleans 8:00 ET Hawks (+) over Pelicans- New Orleans (another of the dysfunctional NBA club) have lost eight of their last nine including a loss at Atlanta two weeks ago. The fact of the matter is that when watching these two also-rans it is the Hawks that are still flying behind Trae Young and are still playing to win. On the other side New Orleans is playing without Jrue Holiday and E'Twaun Moore the past eight games and Anthony Davis has sat out four of the last 11 and when he does play his minutes are limited and his production has dropped in dramatic fashion. Take ATLANTA! |
03-26-19 | Wichita State v. Indiana -3.5 | Top | 73-63 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 27 m | Show |
Wichita State at Indiana 7:00 ET Hoosiers (-) over Shockers- Both these clubs have picked-up their pace in the later part of the season as the Shockers are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 and Indiana is 7-2 ATS in their last nine. The Hoosiers who had a nine-game losing streak this season are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games are up against a Wichita State team that 8-0 ATS on the road against teams with a winning record. In this spot it's INDIANA! |
03-26-19 | Charleston Southern +1.5 v. Hampton | 67-73 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 18 m | Show
Charleston Southern at Hampton 7:00 ET Buccaneers (+) over Pirates- How about these two household names meeting in Hampton, Virginia where the Pirates are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as hosts. So, that being said right off I'm wondering why the 'line' is so weak. Charleston Southern is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games against the Big South. Tonight, I am 'listening' to the numbers. Take CHARLESTON SOUTHERN! |
03-25-19 | Nets +6.5 v. Blazers | 144-148 | Win | 100 | 11 h 11 m | Show
Brooklyn at Portland 10:05 ET Nets (+) over Trailblazers- The Nets provided 'us' with one of the great comeback wins of the season when they rallied from a 28-point deficit to beat Sacramento last week. Brooklyn has two games left on their seven game road trip and the Blazers with be a stern test. Portland has won six of their last seven and are fourth in the West and are a dominating 39-19-1 ATS in their last 59 games overall while the Nets are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games against the Western Conference. Take BROOKLYN! |
03-25-19 | Norfolk State v. Colorado -14 | 60-76 | Win | 100 | 9 h 28 m | Show
Norfolk State at Colorado 11:00 ET Buffaloes (-) over Spartans- Norfolk State is coming off of the 'biggest basketball win in school history coming back from 10-points down in the second have to beat Alabama 80-79 in overtime. Colorado 7-1 ATS in their last eight at home (8-0 SU). I just don't think the Spartans (who I played baseball against in college) can be emotionally ready and after the first half when the are down 8-or-10 their legs and hearts will give out in the Colorado Mountain altitude. Lay it...run with the BUFFALOES! |
03-25-19 | Thunder v. Grizzlies +6 | 103-115 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Memphis 8:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Thunder- Oklahoma City and Memphis have been struggling of late as both clubs have dropped four of their last five straight up. This for the Grizzlies is not so unusual as they are 15 -games under 500 but for the Thunder it is crucial as they are tying to hang on to the sixth spot tied with Utah. Last time out OKC provided us with a Megabucks win as they won at Toronto 116-109 and have been wildly inconsistent. The Grizzlies have lost the last nine meetings including twice this season but are in a spot to win here. Take MEMPHIS! |
03-25-19 | 76ers v. Magic +2.5 | Top | 98-119 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over 76ers- Both these clubs are looking to sew up playoff spots as the 76ers via for the third spot in the East and Orlando is hunting down Miami for the final spot. The Magic have won their last four making a valiant push for the final seed. The 76ers haven't been the best on the road 15-20 ATS and will finish on the road in seven of their final 10 games while Orlando is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games versus the Atlantic Division. Take ORLANDO! |
03-25-19 | Utah Valley +2.5 v. South Florida | 57-66 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 37 m | Show
Utah Valley at South Florida 7:30 ET Wolverines (+) over Bulls- First off this seems like such a small 'number' between two schools from totally diverse conferences. As South Florida comes from a stronger pedigree and at home against a team whose nickname I would have to look up other then the fact that I saw them play against Hartford in Las Vegas on November 19 my buddy Jerry talked me into it because he's a Long Beach guy and they were playing Iona (NCAA bound) in the other game while UVU defeated the Hawks 72-65 (notice how I threw Hartford's nickname in). Anyway, this this line where it is and actually having seen Utah Valley. I could say that the Bulls are 0-6 ATS in their last six home games. So, I will say GO WOLVERINES! |
03-25-19 | Coastal Carolina +10 v. West Virginia | 109-91 | Win | 100 | 8 h 33 m | Show
Coastal Carolina at West Virginia 7:00 ET Chanticleers (+) over Mountaineers- Okay, while we are at it how many of you knew that Coastal Carolina was know as the Chanticleers...alright, if you say so but what are Chanticleers. ( I had to google it) Anyway this has been a terribly disappoint season for West Virginia and I know that tough guy coach Bog Huggins will battle you with whatever he's got until the final buzzer. The Mountaineers give it a 'good old college try' in the Big-12 conference tourney wining two games before falling short like they way they will tonight. Take COASTAL CAROLINA! |
03-24-19 | Kings v. Lakers +1.5 | 106-111 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show
Sacramento at L.A. Lakers 9:30 ET Lakers (+) over Kings- Well, it's official...The Lakers are out of the playoffs and LeBron legacy has taken a hit. The race to the bottom won't be as successful for LA as other have been doing it longer as they have lost 16 of their last 20. This must seem like a 'Prince and the Pauper' switch for Los Angels as the Kings who haven't made the playoffs in 13 years are favored in LA against the Lakers. But, the Kings still trail the Spurs by 5.5 games with just 10 games to play. Sacramento knows their chances are slim and will fade late here. Take the LAKERS! |
03-24-19 | Ohio State +6 v. Houston | Top | 59-74 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 39 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Houston 8:40 ET Buckeyes (+) over Cougars- Sometimes teams that had potential and never lived up to it mesh together at season's end. Surly a season with 14 losses is well more than Ohio State had played for but a few wins as underdogs during the tournament puts in all in the distant past. Houston is a monster no question but there are concerns over the strength of schedule and the lack of big-game pressure. Note that they blew their conference championship for the second year in a row after winning the regular season title both seasons. The Cougars are 34-16-2 ATS in their last 52 games overall and the Buckeyes are 5-0 ATS in their last five games at neutral sites. Take OHIO STATE! |
03-24-19 | Oklahoma v. Virginia -10.5 | 51-63 | Win | 100 | 20 h 43 m | Show
Oklahoma vs Virginia 7:45 ET Cavaliers (-) over Sooners- Is Virginia doing it again...I mean okay, the Cavaliers recovered from their ACC Tourney loss and their opening round NCAA loss last season in the second half to defeat 16th seed Gardner Webb 71-56 Friday. Oklahoma meanwhile was out of character routing Mississippi 95 -72 and boy will they be surprised at how difficult it will be to score Sunday after approaching the 100-point mark last time out. I can tell you this...this may NOT end up my 'Highest-Rated' play of the day but it is the one that I like BEST! The Cavaliers are 43-19-1 ATS in their 63 games overall. POUND VIRGINIA! |
03-24-19 | Spurs +1.5 v. Celtics | 115-96 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show
San Antonio at Boston 7:30 ET Spurs (+) over Celtics- Oh, how the mighty have fallen...since St. Patricks Day in Boston the Celtics are green around the gills. They have lost three straight including a 124-117 loss yesterday at Charlotte where they blew an 18-point fourth quarter lead and of course everyone except Kyrie Irving is to blame. San Antonio is now in the eighth in the West playoff seeding and have lost their last two after a nine games winning streak. Brad Stevens is starting to confront his team's play but just needs to look at the Irving and his huge ego which is affecting everyone else on the court. Boston is a mess and this 'line' tell 'us' that they are in trouble. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
03-24-19 | Harvard v. NC State -10.5 | 77-78 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 31 m | Show
Harvard at N.C. State 7:30 ET Wolfpack (-) over Crimson- Whenever I play against an Ivy league school (ie Yale on Friday) I feel like I'm making a suckers bet. I can't help but feel the are over-valued and then I see a number like this. Harvard done 'us' good by winning at Georgetown but their play on Sundays makes me believe they are missing the books. The Crimson are 1-10 ATS in their last 11 Sunday games. Hey it's as good a reason as any, but this line is way big and I expect the margin to be at least 20 points. Take NC STATE! |
03-24-19 | UCF +13.5 v. Duke | 76-77 | Win | 100 | 17 h 49 m | Show
Central Florida vs Duke 2:15 ET Panthers (+) over Blue Devils- I know one thing, as far as I'm concerned Duke passes the eye test. Watching them is like viewing a different kind of animal. Really, I was impressed but they still managed to keep South Dakota State in the game as they have one glaring weakness that everyone is aware of (if it matters or not we will see) and that is their lack of a 3-point shooting game. Central Florida has the tallest player in the Tournament o UFC is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games and 12-4 ATS out of conference. Duke is not only 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games overall they are also 1-8 ATS in their last nine games following a straight-up win. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA! |
03-24-19 | Nuggets v. Pacers +2 | 88-124 | Win | 100 | 6 h 25 m | Show
Denver at Indiana 5:00 ET Pacers (+) over Nuggets- Both clubs are fighting for playoff position with Denver in a battle for the top spot in the West while Indiana is trying to establish home court for at least one playoff series. The Pacers return home after a disastrous road thrip where they dropped four straight including a 102-100 loss at Denver. The Nuggets enter this fray winners of six straight and are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 trips to Indiana but the underdog is an impressive 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings and the Pacers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 at home. Take INDIANA! |
03-24-19 | Xavier v. Texas -5.5 | 76-78 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 1 m | Show
Xavier at Texas 4:00 ET Longhorns (-) over Musketeers- Say it ani't so...done make me give out this Longhorn team, not after the way they failed me in the Big-12 Tourney against Kansas. Perfect spot poor execution and even worse coaching. So, what happens they enter the NIT and become bullies and are heavy favorites against a team with a much better record. Xavier enters Austin 9-1 ATS in their last 10 overall including 4-0 ATS in their last four while this broken down Longhorn squad is 0-4 ATS in their last four and 2-5 SU in their last seven. So, so why, so why are they favored like this against a 'hot' team like this? I would say home cooking and friendly whistles will help. Take TEXAS! |
03-23-19 | Pistons +5 v. Blazers | Top | 112-117 | Push | 0 | 11 h 50 m | Show |
Detroit at Portland 10:00 ET Pistons (+) over Trailblazers- Without much notice or fan fare the Pistons have played steady basketball the past five weeks winning 15 of their last 20 games straight up. Portland on the other hand have been steady most of the season and they have won five of their last six. Detroit has been doing it in a big was as they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games following a win by 10-points or more. Add that the Pistons are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings closes the deal for me...take DETROIT! |
03-23-19 | Suns +10 v. Kings | 103-112 | Win | 100 | 11 h 40 m | Show
Phoenix at Sacramento 10:00 ET Suns (+) over Kings- The Sacramento Kings have an opportunity to reach the coveted 500 mark with a win here tonight. Both these clubs are coming off of big game one where the Suns crushed Dallas and the other where the Suns were destroyed by the Pistons. It just seem natural for these two to move toward the middle after performances like that. For Sacramento they are 0-3-1 ATS following a win while Phoenix is 5-0 ATS in their last five road games. Take the SUNS! |
03-23-19 | Auburn -2 v. Kansas | 89-75 | Win | 100 | 21 h 42 m | Show
Auburn vs Kansas 9:40 ET Tigers () over Jayhawks- The 'Red-hot' Auburn Tigers have ripped off nine straight wins including capturing the SEC crown with a win over Tennessee. And that is probably why the lower seed No. 5 is favored over No. 4 seed Kansas. The Tigers are actually lucky to be here as their first round opponent New Mexico State succumbed to the tourney presser and blew numerous opportunities to win the game in the final seconds. The Jayhawks who fell short of winning their 15th straight Big-12 title have won 13 straight opening round games. The Tigers are hot and the line gives them the edge and I'll take it. Take AUBURN! |
03-23-19 | Villanova v. Purdue -3.5 | Top | 61-87 | Win | 100 | 19 h 29 m | Show |
Villanova vs Purdue 8:40 ET Boilermakers (-) over Wildcats- My first impression of this match-up was that they had the wrong team favored until I actually paid attention to the seedings. I hadn't realized that Purdue at 24-9 was a No. 3 seed while Villanova at 26-9 was seeded sixth. Now, honestly doesn't that seem a bit off and maybe it's not as the Big Ten is 6-0 in their first six games of the Tournament. Looking at the history here we can see that the Wildcats are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 meetings against the Big Ten and 14-3 ATS in their last 17 NCAA contests. Purdue is just 2-7 ATS in their last nine games against the Big East. So, why is Purdue getting all this respect. Villanova has been sputtering of late going just 4-6 ATS in their last 10 otherwise it looks too easy. Take PURDUE! |
03-23-19 | 76ers v. Hawks +8 | 127-129 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show
Philadelphia at Atlanta 7:30 ET Hawks (+) over 76ers- How about Joel Embiid? This monster personally destroyed the Celtics physique with his clutch performance down the stretch last time out as the 76ers posted a huge come-from-behind victory. Whether Embiid plays or not (he's resting more of the playoffs) the mental attitude of Philadelphia entering this fray should be down a notch. Atlanta is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and 9-3 ATS overall against the Sixers. Take ATLANTA |
03-23-19 | Baylor +14 v. Gonzaga | 71-83 | Win | 100 | 18 h 57 m | Show
Baylor vs Gonzaga 7:10 ET Bears (+) over Bulldogs- I have Gonzaga slated to make it to the Final-4 but 'we' are off of a Baylor Megabucks win over Syracuse Thursday so both side could be appealing. The Zags had a virtual walk-over defeating Fairleigh Dickinson by nearly 40-points in their first round opener. There really has been little action between these two schools but Gonzaga is 3-0 SU but the Bears are 2-1 ATS in those meetings. The Bulldogs are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 against the Big-12 but coming off of such a rout brings them down a notch here. Take BAYLOR! |
03-23-19 | Wofford +6 v. Kentucky | 56-62 | Push | 0 | 14 h 46 m | Show
Wofford vs Kentucky 2:40 ET Terriers (+) over Wildcats- How, can a team whose nickname 'we' had to look-up to find Terriers be just a -5.5-point underdog against might Kentucky who taught another power Abilene Christian a thing or two. The Wildcats will be without the leading scorer and rebounder PJ Washington but they better look up because Wofford could be this year's Loyola-Chicago as they have won 21 in-a-row...that's 21! This certainly is a Samson and Goliath match-up so treat lightly...take WOFFORD! |
03-23-19 | Maryland +2.5 v. LSU | 67-69 | Win | 100 | 11 h 58 m | Show
Maryland vs L.S.U. 12:00 ET Terrapins (+) over Tigers- Oh, how pissed I was with LSU after they let a 16-point half-time lead slip away for their 79-74 non-cover win over Yale on Thursday. Maryland had a non-cover win of their own over Belmont 79-77 but they never had a lead to blow and were trailing most of the contests. The Terrapins have played well against the SEC and are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings and are 9-3 ATS after an ATS loss. LSU is 4-0 ATS in their last four against the Big Ten and are 6-2 ATS after an ATS loss. So, put all of this together we also see that Maryland is 1-7 ATS in their last eight NCAA Tournament games. The Tigers have shown little effects of losing their coach Will Wade but will fall short of the Sweet-16. Take MARYLAND! |
03-22-19 | Nets v. Lakers +2 | 111-106 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 15 m | Show
Brooklyn at L.A. Lakers 10:30 ET Lakers over Nets- The Brooklyn Nets have made huge strides this season and are a cinch for playoffs in the East and are off of an incredible come-back win over Sacramento where they trailed by 25-points in the fourth quarter. D'Angelo Russell who was the Lakers #2 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft but started his career with injuries and it has taken almost five years for him to reach his potential. Lebron James sat out Tuesday's Lakers loss at Milwaukee but should be well rested and ready to play tonight. Look for Los Angeles to end their four-game slide with a win tonight. Take the LAKERS! |
03-22-19 | Ohio State +5.5 v. Iowa State | Top | 62-59 | Win | 100 | 13 h 6 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Iowa State 9:50 ET Buckeyes (+) over Cyclones- It does seem a bit off that the Big-12 Conference Champion is just a No. 6 seed and it tells the true ranking of the conference. It has not been a stellar season for the Buckeyes who have struggled in NCAA action going 0-8 ATS in their last eight NCAA Tournament games. Iowa State has played well out of conference and is 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine. When you add that Ohio State is 1-7 ATS following an ATS win makes the Cyclones so attractive and that is not good for them. Take the BUCKEYES! |
03-22-19 | Spurs +6 v. Rockets | 105-111 | Push | 0 | 10 h 0 m | Show
San Antonio at Houston 8:00 ET Spurs (+) over Rockets- 'We' are happy with the Spurs who just had their nine-game winning streak stopped by Megabucks winner Miami on Wednesday and now travel to Houston to battle their in-state rival. Houston who is 2-1 against San Antonio this season and has won five of the last seven meetings and had won 12 of 13 before being upset by the Heat. The Spurs have turned their season around and are ready to make their stretch run. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
03-22-19 | Thunder +2.5 v. Raptors | Top | 116-109 | Win | 100 | 10 h 38 m | Show |
Oklahoma City at Toronto 7:30 ET Thunder (+) over Raptors- Oklahoma City is in the mist of a four-game losing streak with their last loss coming at home against Toronto who recovered to win 123-114 in overtime after blowing a 20-point lead. The Raptors who are just two games behind Milwaukee for the top spot in the East are a meager favorite here and although they are 18-3 in their last 21 at home they have not had great success ATS. Toronto is just 16-20 ATS at home and are 5-12 ATS when hosting the Thunder. Look for OKC to break their mini losing streak tonight. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
03-22-19 | Washington +3 v. Utah State | 78-61 | Win | 100 | 10 h 57 m | Show
Washington vs Utah State 6:50 ET Huskies (+) over Aggies- I really like Utah State and have had great success with them (see Megabucks over NV) and has been disappointed in Washington when I needed them. The Aggies have won their last 10 and are a small favorite over the Huskies who are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall. Washington looked as though they had a shot at the PAC-12 title but fell by the wayside down the stretch. A new life for the Huskies...take WASHINGTON! |
03-22-19 | Oregon v. Wisconsin -2 | 72-54 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 55 m | Show
Oregon vs Wisconsin 4:40 ET Badgers (+) over Ducks- Whoa...how thing have changed in five days! Oregon swept through the PAC-12 Tournament and have won eight straight earning a No. 12 seed after a mediocre season while Wisconsin has been disappointing to 'me' personally closing the year 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Badgers are led by three-time first-team All-Big Ten center Ethan Happ who is a triple-double threat every time out. I just believe the Badgers are tougher and that the Ducks streak is over as they can continue to run...Take WISCONSIN! |
03-22-19 | Cal-Irvine v. Kansas State -4 | 70-64 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 56 m | Show
UC Irvine vs Kansas State 2:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Anteaters- Jerry aside...The Anteaters are a betting favorite in Las Vegas and maybe for good reason as they are on a 16-game winning streak and are 20-13-1 ATS on the season. Maybe 30 outright wins on the court have something to do with it as well. Kansas State has been no slough this season after a great NCAA run last year they won 25 games and post a 19-13-1 ATS record. The Wildcats do it with defense allowing just 59.2 points per contest and that ranks 3rd Nationally. They have the experience and the pedigree in comparison...take KANSAS STATE! |
03-22-19 | Iowa +5 v. Cincinnati | 79-72 | Win | 100 | 3 h 4 m | Show
Iowa vs Cincinnati 12:15 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Bearcats- There are some games you just have to wonder how the 'line' can be where it is as the Bookmakers know they will get heavy action on just one side. That is how I view this game between Iowa and Cincinnati. The Bearcats come off of a huge AAC Tournament Championship defeating Houston 69-57 holding the Cougars to 30% shooting. Iowa was going in the opposite direction as the season closed losing five of their last six. This is why I think this 'line' is not 'right' and it is not a mistake. Take IOWA! |
03-21-19 | Mavs v. Kings -8.5 | 100-116 | Win | 100 | 12 h 34 m | Show
Dallas at Sacramento 10:00 ET Kings (+) over Mavericks- Can you image the aftermath of blowing a 25-point fourth quarter lead and becoming just the third team of 3,031 to blow a lead that big that late in an NBA contest. Sacramento fell to Brooklyn (Money Game winner) 123-121 and now host the Mavericks who have had issues of their own blowing leads. Dallas is just 2-14 AU in their last 16 games while the Kings have dropped 10 of their last 14. In their vast improvement this season the Kings are 23-12-1 ATS at home while the Mavs are just 6-29 SU on the road. Add that Dallas is just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 meetings. Take SACRAMENTO! |
03-21-19 | Baylor +2 v. Syracuse | Top | 78-69 | Win | 100 | 25 h 51 m | Show |
#9 Baylor vs #8 Syracuse 10:00 ET Bears (+) over Orange- Both these clubs come limping into the Tournament and are off of what for each of them can be considered disappointing seasons. Syracuse has dropped five of their last seven going 2-5 ATS while Baylor has lost their last four and has just one 'cover' in their last 11 games going 1-8-2 ATS. The Orange have been 'hit' if not run over with late season turmoil and emotions, it's just something they will carry until the season ends Thursday night. The Bears are not big but they led the Big-12 in rebounding margin grabbing 6.3 more boards per game than their opponents. Take BAYLOR! |
03-21-19 | St. Mary's v. Villanova -4 | 57-61 | Push | 0 | 23 h 45 m | Show
#11 St. Mary's vs #6 Villanova 7:20 ET Wildcats (-) over Gaels- Let me tell you something for St. Mary's to defeat the defending National Champions they will need more than a 'Hail Mary' coming out of the West Coast Conference against the Big East Champions. Although the Gaels are 6-0 ATS in their last six versus the Big East they were never coming off of a Conference Championship where they defeated No. 1 Gonzaga. Villanova is 13-3 ATS in their last 16 NCAA tournament games while St. Mary's is 1-6-1 ATS after allowing less than 50-points in their previous game. Add that the Wildcats are 56-26 ATS after an ATS loss. Take VILLANOVA! |
03-21-19 | Jazz v. Hawks +8 | 114-117 | Win | 100 | 9 h 49 m | Show
Utah at Atlanta 7:30 ET Hawks (+) over Jazz- Utah is playing their third game in four nights and are on their way into the playoffs with a defense that has held four of their last six opponents under 100 points. Atlanta in the flip side in the second leading scoring team in the league but have dropped their last thee games. The Hawks fly high after a loss going 4-1 ATS in their next game out. This one just figures to be close...take ATLANTA! |
03-21-19 | Abilene Christian +22 v. Kentucky | 44-79 | Loss | -109 | 22 h 18 m | Show
#15 Abilene Christian vs #2 Kentucky 7:10 ET AC Wildcats (+) over Ky Wildcats- I'm sure most of the Kentucky Wildcats have no idea who Abilene Christian is or where they are from but I believe from the old westerns that John Wayne or Tom Holt ran some cattle through their territory. Can they play? We will find out for sure real soon but they are 7-3 ATS in non-conference games which means anyone not in the Southland Conference and 5-1 ATS in their last six overall. We know about Kentucky they are 19-9-2 ATS on neutral sites and they are also just 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall. Take ABILENE CHRISTIAN! |
03-21-19 | Nuggets v. Wizards +8.5 | 113-108 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show
Denver at Washington 7:00 ET Wizards (+) over Nuggets- This is a great matchup (?) of teams that I love to 'play' with and against and tonight 'we' are flipping our pattern. Denver clinched a playoff spot last time out and there has to be a sense of relief and gratification as they travel to play the lowly Wizards. Now, the Nuggets are 10-5 SU in their last 15 trips to the Capital but just 2-5 ATS in their last seven trips to DC. The Wizards are 22-13 ATS at home and are 5-1 ATS after a straight-up loss. Take WASHINGTON! |
03-21-19 | Murray State v. Marquette -3 | 83-64 | Loss | -117 | 20 h 0 m | Show
Murray State vs Marquette 4:30 ET Golden Eagles (-) over Racers- Two of the nation's best 'little' guys will go at it in Hartford, CT when Markus Howard the nations No. 6 scorer leads Marquette against Murray State's No. 8 scorer Ja Morant. The Golden Eagles have lost five of their last six while the Racers come in winning 11 straight including the Ohio Valley Championship. Murray State who has risen in recent seasons is 7-2 ATS in non-conference games while Marquette is 4-0 ATS in non-conference games. You will see the difference between the Big East and Ohio Valley tonight. Take MARQUETTE! |
03-21-19 | Yale v. LSU -7 | 74-79 | Loss | -113 | 16 h 51 m | Show
#14 Yale vs #3 LSU 12:20 ET Tigers over Bulldogs- I've been a huge supporter of the Yale Bulldogs this season but I still remember a quote from a friend who while we were attendance of an Ivy League game and had a losing wager said to me 'Never Bet on a team that you can play for.' Now, he was good and probably could have played for Yale but I don't believe that any of the Bulldogs starters would play for LSU. We are all aware the Tigers will be without their coach but the player in question is still on the court and leading his team. I will be very surprised if this one stays close...I know I can't play for LSU. Take the TIGERS! |
03-20-19 | Arizona State v. St. John's +2.5 | 74-65 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 2 m | Show
Arizona State vs St. John's 9:10 Red Storm (+) over Sun Devils- Well, you can be sure there is no head-to-head action to compare this two as the PAC-12 and Big East are world apart in miles and style of play. For the second year in-a-row Bobby Hurley has his Sun Devils playing with the First Four in Dayton and are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games against the Big East. St. John's hasn't been much better against the PAC-12 going 1-5 in their last six meetings. The Red Storm haven't won a NCAA game since 2000 but are 8-3 ATS follow an ATS loss. Take ST. JOHN'S! |
03-20-19 | Butler v. Nebraska -4.5 | 76-80 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 57 m | Show
Butler at Nebraska 9:00 ET Cornhuskers (-) over Bulldogs- Let me start by saying that both these clubs belong in the NIT as they both are nothing more than middle of the road plotters. This contest pits a pair of clubs that like most weak team play much better at home than on the road. Butler who is 1-5 ATS on their last six games overall are 9-23 ATS in their last 31 road games while Nebraska is 21-9-1 ATS in their last 31 home games. The number strongly favor the home team and so do I. Take NEBRASKA! |
03-20-19 | Heat +6.5 v. Spurs | Top | 110-105 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show |
Miami at San Antonio 8:30 ET Heat (+) over Spurs- If trends were all we had to go on this game would be one-sided as the Spurs have turned it around and are the hottest team in the NBA. San Antonio is 9-0 SU and 8-1 ATS in their last nine games including our Megabucks winner over Golden State on Monday. Miami has won their last two but have struggled against the Spurs going 2-10 ATS in the last 12 meetings including 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings in San Antonio. Spurs in a let-down spot here. Take MIAMI! |
03-20-19 | Wizards v. Bulls +3.5 | 120-126 | Win | 100 | 8 h 45 m | Show
Washington at Chicago 8:00 ET Bulls (+) over Wizards- The idea that Washington is still in the playoff hunt makes me laugh as they are an imposter if I ever saw one. Chicago was expected to be one of the weakest team in the NBA and they are but they have managed to win 20 games and have not quit on the season. The Wizards have had the edge in Chicago goin 12-4 ATS in their last 16 visits to the Windy City but they are just 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall. Take the BULLS! |
03-20-19 | Celtics +3 v. 76ers | 115-118 | Push | 0 | 7 h 42 m | Show
Boston at Philadelphia 7:00 ET Celtics (+) over 76ers- With or without Joel Embiid Philadelphia has reeled off five straight win while Boston has 0-4 ATS in their last four outings. The 76ers have been able to dominate much of the league but have found themselves struggling against the Celtics. Boston is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and 4-1 ATS in their last four trips to the 'City of Brotherly love (HA). After sitting out his last game to assure he would be ready for Boston Embiid will play here but to no avail and the Celtics have the 76ers number. Take BOSTON! |
03-20-19 | Toledo +7 v. Xavier | 64-78 | Loss | -106 | 8 h 49 m | Show
Toledo at Xavier 7:00 ET Rockets (+) over Musketeers- Xavier closed the season in strong fashion going 8-1 ATS overall winning seven of their last nine outright. Toledo won their final five regular season games but fell to Northern Illinois in their conference playoffs. The Musketeers hold a 13-11 series lead over the Rockets who are 8-4 straight-up on the road while Xavier is 7-9-1 ATS as hosts. The Musketeers has taken a huge drop from last season when the were a NO. 1 seed in the NCAA and now a third seed in the NIT. Rockets won 25 games this season and can steal another one here. Take TOLEDO! |
03-19-19 | Pacers +5 v. Clippers | 109-115 | Loss | -104 | 11 h 60 m | Show
Indiana at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Pacers (+) over Clippers- The surprising LA Clippers (I'm surprised because of the gutting of the team) have a six-game lead in holding the final playoff spot if the West over Sacramento. LA has won seven of eight while Indiana has lost three straight on the road but have won the last five meetings overall and are 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings in Los Angeles. Although the Pacers have dropped seven of 11 they are still the fourth seed in the East and get the money here. Take INDIANA! |
03-19-19 | Nets +3.5 v. Kings | 123-121 | Win | 100 | 11 h 37 m | Show
Brooklyn at Sacramento 10:00 ET Nets (+) over Kings- Brooklyn is going to the NBA Playoffs while the Kings are having their best season in tears are not going anywhere with the exception of possibly a golf course. Sacramento trails the LA Clippers by six games with 13 to go and their chances are slim. The Kings are off of a routing of the Bulls 129-102 Sunday and face the Nets who has lost three straight on their current road trip. The Nets seem to have the Kings 'number' as they are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 meetings and 5-2 at Sacramento. Take BROOKLYN! |
03-19-19 | Arkansas +6 v. Providence | 84-72 | Win | 100 | 7 h 18 m | Show
Arkansas at Providence 9:00 ET Razorbacks (+) over Friars- This looks like trouble for the Razorbacks had their top play and All-SEC team selection desert the club like a rat as opposed to a pig to sign with an agent after their last to Florida in the SEC Tournament to enter the NBA draft. This from a player that was a part of a mid-season six game losing streak that he was a part of and most likely kept Arkansas out of the 'Big Dance.' Although the 'Backs' are 3-9 ATS against the Big East and are 3-8 ATS in their last eight overall they will have more unity without a greedy selfish team mate...take ARKANSAS! |
03-19-19 | 76ers v. Hornets +2 | 118-114 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 41 m | Show
Philadelphia at Charlotte 7:00 ET Hornets (+) over 76ers- With their win over Milwaukee Sunday the 76ers have clinch a playoff spot and are seeded No. 3 in the East behind the Bucks and Raptors. With that road victory under their belt Philadelphia travels to Charlotte to play the Hornets who they have beaten three times this season by a total of six points. The Hornets were annihilated by Miami on Sunday with their lowest scoring output (75-points) in franchise history. With a straight-up home record of 21-14 and a 76ers ATS road record of 14-19 it is the Hornets turn to sting the 76ers. Take CHARLOTTE! |
03-19-19 | St Francis PA v. Indiana -17.5 | Top | 72-89 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 22 m | Show |
St. Francis (PA) at Indiana 7:00 ET Hoosiers (-) over Red Flash- Indiana who has lost 13 of their last 18 after a great start to the season (12-2) come limping into the NIT and opened as a 19.5-point favorite. This of course was bet down immediately because of the high stature of their opponent St. Francis better known as Red Flash and will might find out why real soon. The Hoosiers actually closed the regular season strong winning their last four while going 6-0 ATS in their last six overall before falling to Ohio State in the Big Ten tourney. The fact of the matter is the Red Flash will be 'Red-Faced' (Is that considered racist in our academia) after the way the Hoosiers vent on the court. They have to believe that this is their chance to atone for such a disappointing season. Take INDIANA! |
03-19-19 | Hofstra v. NC State -9 | 78-84 | Loss | -109 | 5 h 14 m | Show
Hofstra at N.C. State 7:00 ET Wolfpack (-) over The Pride- Such an unlikely meetings between these two who for no other reason than the NIT would they play each other but play they will. Hofstra is off of a heartbreaking loss in the CAA championship rallying from a 16-point half-time deficit to tie and then fall by the wayside in the final moments. N.C. State suffered the most humiliating defeat of the season when they scored just 24 points in a home loss to Virginia Tech. After getting blown out at North Carolina in their next contest they closed on a 7-3 ATS run while Hofstra is 1-7 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Wolfpack are disappointed in failing to receive an invite to the Big Dance but, really how can you invite a team that scores just 24 points at home in today's era. They will be motivated and want to get to NYC. Take NORTH CAROLINA STATE! |
03-18-19 | Pacers +4 v. Blazers | 98-106 | Loss | -102 | 11 h 14 m | Show
Indiana at Portland 10:30 ET Pacers (+) over Trailblazers- Both these squads are fighting for a home court playoff series with about a dozen games remaining and this contest will help jump one of these clubs. The Trailblazers who are 3-3 in their last six will be without C.J. McCollum while Indiana is and will be without Victor Oladipo. The Pacers have been able to make an adjustment and their quality of play has slipped very little while we will have to see how McCollum's absence will affect the Blazers play. The line is short and give the Pacers a slid chance despite the fact that they are 1-7 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings in Portland. Take INDIANA! |
03-18-19 | Warriors v. Spurs +2.5 | Top | 105-111 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show |
Golden State at San Antonio 8:00 ET Spurs (+) over Warriors- In early January the Spurs were sputtering along and had seemed to have lost their competitive fire on the road. Well, as they say in Texas don't ever count a Gregg Popovich coached team out 'until the dealing is done.' San Antonio has won eight straight overall and 10 straight at home. This is the best that they have played after their 'rodeo trip' return trip home stand.' These two have split their two meetings and the Warriors most likely will be without Devin Durant for the third straight game. Golden State is off of a National TV blasting of the Thunder Saturday. That was supposed to be a statement win after bouncing back from a loss against Phoenix. Not here...Take SAN ANTONIO! |
03-18-19 | Nuggets +3.5 v. Celtics | 114-105 | Win | 100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
Denver at Boston 7:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Celtics- If I have my calculations correct ant team from Boston named 'Celtics' should have s serious hangover prior to tonight's game. This is one time when playing at home is not an advantage. Boston 1-3-1 ATS last five overall and 1-5 ATS in their last five home games. Although the Nuggets have not won often in Boston the Celtics were 9-point favorites and tonight they are just -3. Somethin' not right Lucy...Take DENVER! |
03-17-19 | Nets +6.5 v. Clippers | 116-119 | Win | 100 | 9 h 26 m | Show
Brooklyn at L.A. Clippers 9:00 ET Nets (+) over Clippers- Hey, I'm so proud of Doc Rivers because I think that this season even after his success in Boston has shown his metal and ability to rebuild with a young team that comes to play every and and can contend. LA has won six of seven and are 3-1 at home with this the fifth of six at the Staples Center. Happy to take Brooklyn after posting against them with the Jazz as 'our' Power Play winner last night. The Nets were outscored 27-2 between the first and second quarters. They are no longer a pushover as their 36-35 record with attest. I look for the Nets to play hard a full 48 minutes. Take BROOKLYN! |
03-17-19 | Raptors v. Pistons +1.5 | Top | 107-110 | Win | 100 | 5 h 35 m | Show |
Toronto at Detroit 4:00 ET Pistons (+) over Raptors- This can be a tricky time in NBA evaluation as all of these clubs have their own agenda and it doesn't always have to do with winning. Back-ground noise becomes larger as the season intensifies and decisions on futures are being made. Toronto is looking to position themselves at a physical peak while Detroit is scrabbling for their playoff lives. Both these clubs are off of wins over the Lakers on consecutive nights by almost identical scores of 111-98 and 111-97. The Raptors seem to relax after a straight-up win and are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games following a straight-up win while the Pistons are 8-0 ATS in their last eight home games. Take DETROIT! |
03-17-19 | Michigan +1 v. Michigan State | 60-65 | Loss | -109 | 13 h 29 m | Show
Michigan vs Michigan State 3:30 ET Wolverines (+) over Spartans- For those of you that have been with me (I thank you) you know that I really 'like' both these clubs and have both on again them as well. It was seven short days ago when these two closed the Big Ten season with the Spartans winning (For us) to sweep the regular season series. I assume that you know the numbers with State 22-8 last 30 overall and 16-6 ATS in their last 22 versus the Big Ten. Very impressive indeed and the Wolverines are equally as impressive 36-14-1 in the last 51 games against the Big Ten. So, take that...HA! Still, I have said all season long that I felt Michigan has Final Four talent and I still believe it. With huge revenge in mind the the WOLVERINES! |
03-17-19 | Cincinnati +5 v. Houston | 69-57 | Win | 100 | 13 h 12 m | Show
Cincinnati at Houston 3:15 Bearcats (+) over Cougars- These two are meeting for the AAC title for the second year in a row with Cincinnati winnings last season thriller 56-55 with Houston (+4) getting the money. This season it's the Cougars with a pair fo wins covering both and are 4-0 ATS in the past four meetings. The Bearcats are 27-6 SU but come staggering to the ATS finish line going 1-9 ATS in their last 10 outings. Houston has ben a solid play the past two seasons going 33-16-2 ATS overall while the Bearcats are tame on Sunday's going 21-47 ATS in their last 68 weekenders. The Cougars lost only twice in conference and defeated Cincinnati twice...this one should play close! Take CINCINNATI! |
03-17-19 | Hornets +4 v. Heat | 75-93 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 31 m | Show
Charlotte at Miami 1:00 ET Hornets (+) over Heat- Do you honestly think that I would come back with Miami after the way they disrespected 'our' Megabucks release against the Bucks Friday night blowing a 20-point second half lead and losing the game outright by 15 points. This is the fourth straight on the road for the Hornets and they dropped the first two against Milwaukee and Houston before winning at Washington (Money Game). All the trends say to bounce back with the Heat but I just can't do it. Take CHARLOTTE! |
03-17-19 | Auburn +5 v. Tennessee | Top | 84-64 | Win | 100 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
Auburn vs Tennessee 1:00 ET Tigers (+) over Volunteers- Oh my, and here we go! Bruce Pearl appears with the Tigers looking to shock the Volunteers in the SEC Championship game, something few anticipated four days ago. But now, Auburn has won seven straight and eight of nine and they can do something they haven't done in 34 years. Personally, I am very pleased with Tennessee after their 82-78 Megabucks win over Kentucky yesterday and I would think that an emotional win like that has to wear on you. One's adrenalin and natural juices are pumping until it over comes you even long after the game is over. Hey, Tennessee hasn't won the SEC championship in 40-years themselves. Maybe that's the only real shot Auburn may have because they are 4-10 ATS in the last 14 meetings and the favorite is 18-6 ATS in the last 24 encounters. So, here's the thing, all that, is just going to make this winner that much sweeter! Take AUBURN! |
03-16-19 | Nets v. Jazz -8 | 98-114 | Win | 100 | 10 h 42 m | Show
Brooklyn at Utah 9:00 ET Jazz (-) over Nets- Like moths to a flame the public has already gravitated to the dog here and I am surprised as Brooklyn is a long way from home and they have had suck struggles in Utah. The Nets are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine trips to Utah and enter this contest off of a loss at Oklahoma City which ended a four-game win streak and now I expect them to trend down for awhile. Take UTAH! |
03-16-19 | Blazers +2.5 v. Spurs | Top | 103-108 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 12 m | Show |
Portland at San Antonio 8:30 ET Trailblazers (+) over Spurs- A number of trends surround this fray that support and then wain against both clubs here. To start with San Antonio has won seven straight going 6-1 ATS. This is the fourth meeting with the home team wining the previous three and the Spurs would love to even the series here but, this line is way short. Although Portland is just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 visits to San Antonio but they are currently on a 7-1 ATS road run...take the TRAILBLAZERS! |
03-16-19 | Florida State v. Duke -7.5 | 63-73 | Win | 100 | 10 h 9 m | Show
Florida State vs Duke 8:30 ET Blue Devils (-) over Seminoles- No. 5 Duke may be ranked No. 5 and not ranked higher because of the two weeks Zion Williamson had to take off because of some eight-year missed a stitch while working for Nike in China...but all is better now they hied an 11-year old to take his place. Florida State who has won six straight is coming off of a huge upset win defeating Virginia 69-59 while controlling the boards 35-20 early on Friday. The Seminoles are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings but have just one ACC title (2012) while the Blue Devils are seeking their 21 ACC title. Pedigree prevails...take DUKE |
03-16-19 | Grizzlies +2 v. Wizards | 128-135 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 33 m | Show
Memphis at Washington 7:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Wizards- Yeah, well as Jody Foster might say one team is 'worser than the other.' Washington trails Miami by 3.5 games for the final playoff spot in the East but they have NO SHOT!Memphis of course has been a drag themselves killing their 'backers' on the road going 12-21 ATS including 2-5 ATS in their last seven visits to Washington. But, the Grizzlies are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and get the money here. Take MEMPHIS! |
03-16-19 | Iowa State +2.5 v. Kansas | 78-66 | Win | 100 | 8 h 50 m | Show
Iowa State vs Kansas 6:00 ET Cyclones (+) over Jayhawks- These two split their two meetings this season each winning at home bit with the Cyclones getting the money last five meetings and 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings. Kansas who has 11 Big-12 Conference titles is the only member with more than Iowa State's four titles. The Cyclone are a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS in their last conference championship games. Although Kansas is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall they get caught here. Take IOWA STATE! |
03-16-19 | Tennessee +2 v. Kentucky | Top | 82-78 | Win | 100 | 5 h 5 m | Show |
Tennessee vs Kentucky 3:30 ET Volunteers (+) over Wildcats- These two clubs have battled all year both finished 15-3 in SEC action second only to LSU. After a shaky start the Wildcats have won 17 of their last 19 with their only losses to Tennessee and LSU. Tennessee is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings and I expect a tough defensive game with the Volunteers getting it done. Take TENNESSEE! |

03-15-19 | Bulls +9 v. Clippers | 121-128 | Win | 100 | 11 h 47 m | Show
Chicago at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Bulls (+) over Clippers- To be truthful I am so impressed with what Doc Rivers has done with this young Clippers squad that is fighting for a playoff spot in the difficult West as they get ready for their sixth straight home game. Chicago on the other hand has struggled the entire season and still have managed to turn a small profit ATS on the road. The Bulls have dropped their last three and five of six but are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games. Take CHICAGO! |
03-15-19 | Duke v. North Carolina +3 | Top | 74-73 | Win | 100 | 11 h 5 m | Show |
Duke vs North Carolina 9:30 ET Tar Heels (+) over Blue Devils- Well, this is the match-up we all really wanted to see regardless of Virginia's standing. It is said that one of the most difficult things in college basketball among the majors is for one quality team to defeat another three straight time in a single season. North Carolina has defeated the Blue Devils twice this year the first time of course when Zion Williamson went down 35-seconds into the contest and the final game of the season when the Tar Heels won 79-70 as Duke played without Williamson once again. I expect most of the action to come down on the Devils and it mat be a mistake. Take NORTH CAROLINA! |
03-15-19 | Iowa +8.5 v. Michigan | 53-74 | Loss | -108 | 11 h 54 m | Show
Iowa at Michigan 9:30 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Wolverines- Michigan who I believed six weeks ago could win it all has won eight straight Big Ten Tournament games and won the title in each of the past two seasons. Iowa on the other hand won their first tourney game in six years by downing Illinois 83-62 in the opening round. The win broke an eight game ATS losing streak and was their first 'cover' since February 7 at Indiana. Although the Wolves have been dominant in Big Ten action going a remarkable 37-16-1 ATS the Hawkeyes are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings. Take IOWA! |
03-15-19 | Colorado +2 v. Washington | 61-66 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 31 m | Show
Colorado vs Washington 9:00 ET Buffaloes (+) over Huskies- Washington had the toughest defense in the PAC-12 this season allowing only 62.3 points and were led by senior defensive specialist Matisse Thybulle who led the nation with an incredible 3.56 steals per game. Colorado who is hot at the right time has won their last five overall going 4-1 ATS. The Huskies have swept the series in each of the last two seasons going 4-0 ATS in the process. But, with 'price' where it is I see the rampaging Buffaloes over running the Huskies. Take COLORADO! |
03-15-19 | Bucks v. Heat +5.5 | Top | 113-98 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Miami 8:00 ET Heat (+) over Bucks- Both these clubs are off of huge blowout wins and it was the Bucks ending a 3-game slide by defeating New Orleans 130-113 on Tuesday. Milwaukee with the best record in the East pounded the Heat 124-86 at home on January 15 and I'm sure the Heat remembers it well. That is the only 'cover' the Bucks have against the Heat in the last seven meetings going 1-6 ATS and 0-5 ATS in their last five in Miami! Take the HEAT! |
03-15-19 | Hornets +3.5 v. Wizards | 116-110 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show
Charlotte at Washington 7:00 ET Hornets (+) over Wizards- The Hornets are getting desperate as they are falling out of the race of the final No. 8 seed by losing 11 of their last 15 including four of their last five with that win coming over Washington 112-111 at home last Friday. Charlotte has a 1.5-game lead for the final spot over the Wizards and the pressure is all on the Wizards here. A though call when we see the Hornets are 1-6 ATS in their last seven visits to Washington. But, the illogical side is...CHARLOTTE! |
03-14-19 | Texas +3 v. Kansas | Top | 57-65 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 58 m | Show |
Texas vs Kansas 9:00 ET Longhorns (+) over Jayhawks- Kansas who failed to win the Big-12 regular season championship for the first time in 14 years is seeded third the lowest its been since 2003-04. Part of the issue four the Jayhawks this season is that they are playing four freshman for the first time under Bill Self with the other starter a junior transfer from Memphis (Dedric Lawson) who lead the conference in scoring and rebounding. Texas has had another mediocre season under Shaka Smart and is 61-59 in four years since arriving and the alumni pressure to win is starting to surface. The Longhorns who split the season series with the Jayhawks can win here as the near full-season absence of Kansas center Udoka Azubuike has been noticeable. Take TEXAS! |
03-14-19 | Georgetown +3.5 v. Seton Hall | 57-73 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 41 m | Show
Georgetown vs Seton Hall 9:30 ET Hoyas (+) over Pirates- Both these clubs have 12 losses and the team that loses here will most likely end up in the NIT with the winner's only chance for the Big Dance is to advance beyond this match-up. These guys split their season season both winning and covering at home with Seton Hall entering this game with consecutive wins over Marquette and Villanova while the Hoyas have won three of their last four. I don't believe the Pirates will be able to match their intensity of those wins closing the season against the Conference leaders. Take GEORGETOWN! |
03-14-19 | Alabama +3.5 v. Ole Miss | 62-57 | Win | 100 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Alabama vs Mississippi 7:00 ET Crimson Tide (+) over Rebels- The Tide have lost their last three and six of eight straight-up, while closing the season 1-7 ATS in their last eight overall. Alabama posted a 74-53 home win in their only meeting against Ole Miss this season and the Rebels have dropped three of their last four closing with a win over SEC doormat at Missouri 73-68. At 17-14 a disappointing season for the Tide without question but the ebb tide has finished receding and comes to play tonight. Take ALABAMA! |
03-13-19 | DePaul +5 v. St. John's | 74-82 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 59 m | Show
DePaul vs St. John's 9:30 ET Blue Demons (+) over Red Storm- The moment I saw the New York papers declare that St. John's had done enough to get an invite to the 'Big Dance' I thought, they are in trouble here on out. They have proceeded to lose their final three games and are not a shoe-in with the bubble shrinking. In the often strange world of sports handicapping oddities occur and the fact that DePaul have won three-of-four against the Red Storm going 4-0 ATS. This is the first time these two have met in the Big East tournament and the Blue Demons enter with their most conference wins (7) in a dozen years and they are good enough here. Take DEPAUL! |
03-13-19 | Northwestern +2 v. Illinois | 69-74 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 34 m | Show
Northwestern vs Illinois 9:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Illini- This sterling match-up has a pair of Big Ten bottom feeders with No. 14-seeded Northwestern playing No. 11-seeded Illinois who have dominated the Wildcats. The Illini are 8-0 ATS in the last eight meetings included three wins at the United Center. The Wildcats are also just 1-6-1 ATS in their last eights overall and I guess their best hope is the Illinois is 1-9 ATS in their last Wednesday games (really now). Anyway, the price here says that the Illini aren't going to just walk over the Wildcats. Take NORTHWESTERN! |
03-13-19 | Notre Dame +7.5 v. Louisville | Top | 53-75 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 36 m | Show |
Notre Dame vs. Louisville 7:00 ET Fighting Irish (+) over Cardinals- Winning yesterday's 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks over Georgia Tech 78-71 Notre Dame ended a seven-game losing streak. Seeded No. 15 the Fighting Irish are now up against No. 7 seed Louisville who received a first round bye. These two faced each other once this season with the Cardinals winning 75-61 with a commanding 49-30 rebounding advantage. Louisville did not finish their ACC season well losing four of five with the lone win against the Irish. That changes again. Take NOTRE DAME! |
03-12-19 | Blazers v. Clippers +2.5 | Top | 125-104 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 6 m | Show |
Portland at L.A. Clippers 10:35 ET Clippers (+) over Trailblazers- Portland who are off of a win over Oklahoma City Friday had Damian Lillard score 51 points and will become the Trailblazers second-leading scorer in franchise history needing 23 points to pass LaMarcus Aldridge. The Blazers are fifth in the West while the Clippers are next a half-game ahead of San Antonio. Los Angeles has won their last five and are hot at the right time. Take the CLIPPERS! |
03-12-19 | Notre Dame -1.5 v. Georgia Tech | Top | 78-71 | Win | 100 | 5 h 53 m | Show |
Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech 2:30 ET Fighting Irish over Yellow Jackets- If there ever as a 'Don't make sense' game this one qualifies. Let's look at the 'numbers.' The Irish enter losers of their last seven both SU and ATS and are 12-19 ATS on the season where as Georgia Tech is 19-12 ATS so that is one thing that makes me wonder why ND is favored, but the more startling fact is that they are 1-11-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings against the Yellow Jackets and still come up the favorite here. Add that the Irish are 6-13 ATS in their last overall. This is just not right to me...take NOTRE DAME! |
03-11-19 | Pistons +2 v. Nets | Top | 75-103 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 38 m | Show |
Detroit at Brooklyn 7:35 ET Pistons (+) over Nets- After inconsistent performances of late Detroit and Brooklyn have have put together wins for their stretch run looking to secure a playoff spot. The Pistons have turned it on and have four four straight and eight of their last nine while the Nets have won their last three after three straight losses. Although Detroit is just 5-12 ATS in the 17 meetings the combo of Griffin and Drummond have helped Detroit turn the corner. Take the PISTONS! |
03-10-19 | Wisconsin v. Ohio State +3.5 | 73-67 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 21 m | Show
Wisconsin at Ohio State 4:30 ET Buckeyes (+) over Badgers- There are a number of factors that are sort of point counter-point surrounding this contest. To start with Ohio State is in desperate need of a win here as they according to experts are sitting on the NCAA bubble which of course gives them incentive. Their counter-point is that center Kaleb Wesson will be suspended for the third straight game because of disciplinary action imposed by the athletic department, not the basketball program (so who knows what that is about). This is the only regular season meetings between these two and Ohio State has won the last two. Getting points is a bonus ...Take the BUCKEYES! |
03-10-19 | SMU +2.5 v. South Florida | 77-71 | Win | 100 | 7 h 1 m | Show
S.M.U. At South Florida 4:00 ET Mustangs (+) over Bulls- To start with this is a very short number for a team seeking it's 20th win of the season especially when playing a foe that has just 13 wins on the year. Along that vein we see that South Florida is 14-4 SU at home while SMU is just 2-7 on the road. But South Florida isn't playing their best ball right now as they are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games overall. That point spread free fall will continue here. Take SOUTHERN METHODIST! |
03-10-19 | Raptors v. Heat +1 | 125-104 | Loss | -103 | 5 h 9 m | Show
Toronto at Miami 3:35 ET Heat (+) over Raptors- Sometimes for reasons unknown one team although unlikely has another teams 'number' and that is how these two matchup. In the last four meetings Toronto is 4-2 straight-up against Miami but the Heat are 6-0 ATS in those games and are 5-1 Ats in their last six against the raptors at home. There is also an oddity surrounding Toronto and that is that they are 0-11 ATS after scoring 125 points or more in the previous game and they are off of a 127-104 win over New Orleans. So 'the beat goes on.' Take MIAMI! |
03-10-19 | Iowa v. Nebraska +1.5 | Top | 91-93 | Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show |
Iowa at Nebraska 2:00 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Hawkeyes- There is a huge difference in the level of play between these two with Iowa of course having a much better club but they do have something in common. Both have been money burners for their backers as Iowa is 0-7 ATS in their last seven games overall and the Cornhuskers are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 overall. So, okay, where do we find the key to the winner?Let's look at head-to-head action first and see that the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings but the key is their home and away records. The Huskers are 11-5 SU as hosts while Iowa is just 4-5 on the road and more importantly they allow only 63.6 points at home over 16 points less than on the road. Take NEBRASKA! |
03-09-19 | Celtics v. Lakers +6 | Top | 120-107 | Loss | -109 | 10 h 20 m | Show |
Boston at L.A. Lakers 8:35 ET Lakers (+) over Celtics- In yesteryear this would have been a great match-up and even today with Kyrie Irving and LeBron James going at it recalls days of the 'Bird and Magic' show, but it doesn't look that way now. As it is now Irving sits whenever and now James is going to play limited minutes. Despite the kind of season it has been for both these clubs the Lakers are 18-15 straight-up at home while Boston is just 13-18-1 ATS on the road. With the kind of media abuse LA has been going through this is a time to rise and the fact that the Celtics are having teams issues of their own gives 'us' a side. With Laker pride moving to the forefront here...Take LOS ANGELES! |
03-09-19 | Michigan v. Michigan State -3.5 | 63-75 | Win | 100 | 11 h 6 m | Show
Michigan at Michigan State 8:00 ET Spartans (-) over Wolverines- I just love both of these programs and for good reason as they are both huge money makers for their backers. Michigan (who I personally love) is No. 7 as 26-4 SU while No. 11 Michigan State is 24-6. The Wolverines have won their last two and are an impressive 19-7 ARS on the road and Michigan State is just as impressive going 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games overall. They have both dominated in the Big Ten with the Wolves winning 37 of 52 and the Spartans 14-5 ATS. MSU despite nagging injuries are 7-2 ATS in their last nine at home and get the money here. Take MICHIGAN STATE! |
03-09-19 | Duke +4.5 v. North Carolina | Top | 70-79 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
Duke at North Carolina 6:00 ET Blue Devils (+) over Tar Heels- Oh, what a good one this should be as No. 4 Duke visits No. 3 North Carolina in Chapel Hill. We should all remember the first matchup when the Tar Heels whipped Duke 88-72 as Zion Williamson's shoe exploded as some 11-year old in China didn't complete the Nike stitching properly. Without Williamson the Blue Devils are not as formidable but still are a beast when on the court as they are 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings overall against Carolina including 9-3-1 ATS as visitors in the series. Although Carolina is 9-4 ATS in their last 13 this one should come down to the final buzzer with the Blue Devils prevailing against the 'number.' Take DUKE! |
