10-28-17 | Oklahoma State -7 v. West Virginia | 50-39 | Win | 100 | 20 h 6 m | Show
Oklahoma State at West Virginia 12:00 ET Cowboys (-) over Mountaineers- The thing I think of first about this game is that 'my' lone winning Best Bet (1-2) last Saturday was Baylor (+9) against the Mountaineers as they surrendered 23 unanswered in the final quarter for my 36-38 back-door cover. Now, any team that can give up 23 points to Baylor will get 'pruned' by the Nation's #1 offense averaging 584.6 yards per contest. There are a number of positive thing I can say about the Mountaineers but the one thing that stands in my way is that they rarely win a 'Big' game. Add that the oddsmakers feel the same way as the point spread in more than a TD against a team that ranks 5th (W.VA) in total offense. Lay it! Take OKLAHOMA STATE! |
10-28-17 | Miami-FL v. North Carolina +20.5 | 24-19 | Win | 100 | 20 h 60 m | Show
Miami-FL at North Carolina 12:00 ET Tar Heels (+) over Hurricanes- Okay I know this is silly with the Tar Heels missing 16 players that are out for the year and have lost seven straight to the points. But, here is Miami with double revenge lost last season 20-17 knowing they will have little trouble with North Carolina. But, maybe they are concerned with what is up next as the play Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. This one is just a matter of one dominate team sleep walking to a win. Take NORTH CAROLINA! |
10-27-17 | Rockets v. Hornets +3 | Top | 109-93 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
Houston at Charlotte 7:00 ET Hornets (+) over Rockets- Houston has dominated this series of late winning 12 of the last 13 meetings straight-up and are off a last-second buzzer beater to defeat Philadelphia on Wednesday. Both clubs are off wins and the Rockets are 3-0 on the road although only 1-2 ATS while Charlotte is 2-0 st home with a pair of point spread wins. Houston has struggled so far with their long range shooting (28%) and are know for playing little defense especially on the road. Take CHARLOTTE! |
10-27-17 | Spurs v. Magic +5.5 | 87-114 | Win | 100 | 8 h 27 m | Show
San Antonio at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Spurs- Golly, I 'hate' playing against the Spurs...but, it is a long season and no one is going undefeated. San Antonio is 4-0 on the season and 3-1 ATS while Orlando is 2-0 at home and are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings with the Spurs, but San Antonio has won 11 of the last 12 in this series including a 107-79 beating last time the Spurs were in town. This is where this ends. Take ORLANDO! |
10-26-17 | Clippers +3 v. Blazers | 104-103 | Win | 100 | 12 h 3 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Portland 10:00 ET Clippers (+) over Trailblazers- The Clippers are one of the teams that has had 'Super Stars' depart and yet have started the season with three straight victories. Los Angeles who blew a 3-1 series lead against Portland in the 2016 playoffs swept the season series last year winning all three encounters. Except for that playoff anomaly the Clippers have had the best of the Trailblazers winning 10 of the last 14 regular season meetings. I'm staying with the obvious trend. Take CLIPPERS! |
10-26-17 | Dolphins v. Ravens -3 | 0-40 | Win | 100 | 10 h 20 m | Show
Miami at Baltimore 8:25 ET Ravens (+) over Dolphins- This is a tough call no so much because the Ravens have been terrible of late but because Matt Moore has been moved into the starting position at quarterback for Miami. Moore has been much more (ha) effective then Jay Cutler who really has no heart for the game and teammates rally around their 2nd replacement QB. Baltimore has won five of the last six regular season meetings and they are 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings and will have three receivers return to action after missing the game at Minnesota. In a desperate position the Ravens have to fly here. Take BALTIMORE! |
10-25-17 | Raptors v. Warriors -11.5 | 112-117 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 8 m | Show
Toronto at Golden State 10-30 ET Warriors (-) over Raptors- This seems to me to be an awfully high 'line' against a playoff team even for the Warriors. Golden State (2-2) has yet to win at home as their opener was spoiled by the Rockets 122-121 but won 2-of-3 on their road trip. Toronto doesn't play well this far away from home as they have lost 12 straight st Golden State going 1-11 ATS. Look for the Warriors to treat their fans to their first home win of the season by a wide margin. Take GOLDEN STATE! |
10-25-17 | Cavs v. Nets +7.5 | 107-112 | Win | 100 | 8 h 15 m | Show
Cleveland at Brooklyn 7:30 ET Nets (+) over Cavaliers- The moment the Cavaliers acquired Derrick Rose I stated 'their chances of winning the NBA title has been reduced in dramatic fashion. Now, with Rose supposedly ailing LeBron James has moved to point game and Cleveland has never looked better. There is no doubt the Cavs have had the bets of the Nets winning the last four meetings and six of the last seven but are 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight meetings including 0-3-1 ATS in their last four in Brooklyn. The Nets are 3-1 ATS and have plenty of young aggressive talent that will give it their all tonight. Take BROOKLYN! |
10-25-17 | Rockets v. 76ers +4 | Top | 105-104 | Win | 100 | 8 h 48 m | Show |
Houston at Philadelphia 7:00 ET 76ers (+) over Rockets- It should be an exciting season for both these clubs as 'fresh' faces have been added to this year's version of each club. Houston has the addition of Chris Paul and the 76ers have added No.1 draft pick Markelle Fultz. The problem is both these players have health issues with Paul down for a month and Fultz is day-to-day with fluid in his shoulder. Without Paul the Rockets are shooting just 27.5% from 3-point range while attempting 43 3-pointers a game. Houston has won seven straight in the series hasn't had to face the young studs the 76ers now have playing with Joel Embid and Ben Simmons along with Fultz. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
10-24-17 | Nets +5 v. Magic | 121-125 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show
Brooklyn at Orlando 7:00 ET Nets (+) over Magic- This year's version of the Brooklyn Nets is a young fast paced club that is averaging 124.3 points per contest and at 2-1 they are over .500 for the first time since they were 4-3 in Nov. 2014. Orlando is also 2-1 with their loss coming in Brooklyn on Friday 126-121 but rebounded with a huge win 114-93 over the Cavaliers on Sunday while the Nets defeated Atlanta 116-104 on Sunday. Young and excited the Nets are the side. Take BROOKLYN! |
10-23-17 | Redskins +5 v. Eagles | 24-34 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 23 m | Show
Washington at Philadelphia 8:30 Redskins (+) over Eagles- These two opened the season against each other in Washington and the Eagles prevailed 30-17 and have been the NFC East leader since. The 'buzz' surrounding this match-up is centered around Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz who has help them scoring 20 points or more in 10 straight games the longest streak in the NFL. Krik Cousins is coming off his worst performance of the season but still leads the NFC with a 106.4 passer rating while Wentz has 13 TD passes with only three interceptions. This could end up a shoot out with the Redskins getting the money. Take WASHINGTON! |
10-22-17 | Falcons v. Patriots -3 | 7-23 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show
Atlanta at New England 8:30 ET Patriots (-) over Falcons- Ha! I remember this match-up. The last time these two clubs played New England was a 3-point favorite on a neutral site in Houston. Now, they meet in New England which should give the Patriots a bigger advantage but the odds-makers don't agree. Atlanta is coming here after blowing two fourth quarter leads to Buffalo and Miami (led 17-0 at the half) and may have been caught looking ahead for this revenge game. But, believe me even if Falcons win here they will NOT have extracted and real revenge (nothing can make up for that Super Bowl loss). Take NEW ENGLAND! |
10-22-17 | Broncos v. Chargers +1.5 | Top | 0-21 | Win | 100 | 20 h 7 m | Show |
Denver at L.A. Chargers 4:25 ET Chargers over Broncos- 'Break-up the Chargers!' Los Angeles (I'm still having troubles with that) has won two straight after dropping their first fur of the season. Denver on the other hand has dropped 2-of-3 including a bashing by the previous winless NY Giants on Sunday night. The Broncos already have a win over the Chargers on opening Monday night but they surrendered the 'cover' as Phillip Rivers put up two late scores that just brought LA (+3.5) in under the wire is a 24-21 loss. Denver has won six of the last seven meetings but the Chargers have the more experienced quarterback and a fresh coach that believes LA could be 6-0. O like confidence. Take LA CHARGERS! |
10-22-17 | Jaguars v. Colts +3.5 | 27-0 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 4 m | Show
Jacksonville at Indianapolis 1:00 ET Colts (+) over Jaguars- Both these clubs have to find a way to play a complete 60 minutes on the field as late game heroics have done them in. Indianapolis gave up second half leads to Arizona and Seattle in close losses and gave up 14 fourth quarter points to Cleveland in their 31-28 win in Week 3. The Jaguars are off a loss to the LA Rams where had a 389-249 yardage advantage but were done in by special teams play. Jacksonville has established a running game with Leonard Fournette but ranks dead last in passing. Jacoby Brissett has shown he's capable with 1,209 yards passing and they must find a way to play a complete 60 minutes. Take INDIANAPOLIS! |
10-22-17 | Bucs +3 v. Bills | 27-30 | Push | 0 | 17 h 59 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Buffalo 1:00 ET Buccaneers (+) over Bills- Okay, Jameis Winston is injured but returned to practice later in the week and is going to start for Tampa Bay. The real question is will Winston be more effective then career back-up Ryan Fitzgerald (116 career starts) who threw for 290 yards against Arizona after Winston departed the game last Sunday. Buffalo is off a bye week and has surprised both Atlanta and Denver but is favored for just the second time this season. The Bucs are 0-2 on the road and the Bills 2-0 at home. That changes Sunday. Take TAMPA BAY! |
10-22-17 | Panthers v. Bears +3 | 3-17 | Win | 110 | 17 h 50 m | Show
Carolina at Chicago 1:00 ET Bears (+) over Panthers- The two quarterbacks in Sunday's competition will be the storyline as Chicago rookie Mitchell Trubisky is making his third career start the Panthers 'superstar' Cam Newton gets the attention once again gets the attention because of hi off-field behavior. Newton who entered the season off an injury has just nine touchdown passes and eight interceptions while the Bears has relied on their running game and hasn't asked Trubisky to do too much. Carolina has had 10- days rest but has been inconsistent on offense and the Bears rank 6th in total defense. Take CHICAGO! |
10-22-17 | Saints v. Packers +4.5 | 26-17 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 47 m | Show
New Orleans at Green Bay 1:00 ET Packers (+) over Saints- What Green Bay without Aaron Rogers that's like Christmas without Santa Claus. New Orleans of course has future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees and after last week's 52-48 rout of the Lions everyone realizes the advantage the Saints have at that position with third year back-up Brett Hundley makes his first NFL start. I fully expect Green Bay to rally around their young QB and play a brand of defense that will shut down Brees and their so-called running game. The Packers have made the playoffs eight straight seasons and are 16-8 lifetime against New Orleans and will suck it up here. Take GREEN BAY! |
10-21-17 | West Virginia v. Baylor +9.5 | 38-36 | Win | 100 | 26 h 11 m | Show
West Virginia at Baylor 8:00 ET Bears (+) over Mountaineers- The Baylor Bears have gone 12 straight regular season games dating back to their last six games in 2016 without a 'cover.' They did somehow manage to win and 'cover' the Idaho Bowl defeating Boise State 31-12 as a 6-6 representative. The Bears enter this game 0-6 and are the only winless Power Five conference team and are off a beating by Oklahoma State 59-16 and has even lost to UT San Antonio and Liberty. West Virginia rally for a huge comeback win over Texas Tech and find the lowly Bears between them and their next meeting against Ok. St. The Mountaineers are 3-2 in the series but just 1-4 ATS. This is a huge night in Waco. Take BAYLOR! |
10-21-17 | USC +3.5 v. Notre Dame | Top | 14-49 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 54 m | Show |
U.S.C. at Notre Dame 8:00 ET Trojans (+) over Fighting Irish- I must start by saying I watched all of USC vs. Utah last week and I must admit that I was not impressed with the Trojans. The Utes just shoved and ran the ball right down USC's throat and their was nothing the Trojans could do to stop it. I'm afraid with Notre Dame power game that USC will have trouble containing the Irish offense. But, still the Trojans will have the best running back in Ronald Jones in the game along with the best quarterback Sam Darnold who out classes Irish QB Brandon Wimbush by a wide margin. Beware of Trojans...Take SOUTHERN CAL! |
10-21-17 | Wake Forest +5 v. Georgia Tech | 24-38 | Loss | -110 | 26 h 56 m | Show
Wake Forest at Georgia Tech 7:30 ET Demon Deacons (+) over Yellow Jackets- after opening the season with four straight wins including an ACC victory over Boston College the Demon Deacons have dropped their last two against Florida State and Clemson falling to 1-2 in conference play. Georgia Tech lost for the second time last week to Miami-Fl 25-24 their 2nd 1-point loss the other is when the blew a 14-point 4th quarter lead to Tennessee. The Yellow Jackets are a perfect 5-0 ATS but have Clemson on deck. Now, as a favorite they don't make it. Take WAKE FOREST! |
10-21-17 | LSU v. Ole Miss +7.5 | 40-24 | Loss | -125 | 26 h 32 m | Show
L.S.U. at Mississippi 7:15 ET Rebels (+) over Tigers- Having used LSU as my SEC Game of the Month winner last week (+7) 27-23 OUTRIGHT over Auburn the pressure is off the Tigers and they will get caught basking in their glory this week. Mississippi had lost three straight before pounding Vanderbilt 57-35 last week. The Rebels lead the SEC in passing by a wide margin but have surrendered 27 points per game and are 3-3 and 1-2 in SEC play. Most of the 'experts' had the Tigers dead after their losses to Mississippi State 37-7 and Troy 24-21 but the have responded with wins at Florida and over Auburn. With Alabama up next this game is a 'Tiger Trap.' Take MISSISSIPPI! |
10-21-17 | Indiana +7 v. Michigan State | 9-17 | Loss | -115 | 22 h 60 m | Show
Indiana at Michigan State 3:30 ET Hoosiers (+) over Spartans- The Spartans are a 'sneaky' 5-1 and are undefeated 3-0 in Big-Ten action while their opponent this week Indiana is winless (0-3) in conference play. Michigan State whose only loss came against Notre Dame returns home after two road wins against Michigan and Minnesota to play Indiana who they have defeated four straight time as hosts. The Hoosiers two-headed quarterback system has experienced senior Richard Lagow who led Indiana to a win over State last season (their first win vs MSU in seven years) and freshman Peyton Ramsey who is set to start. Take INDIANA! |
10-21-17 | Syracuse v. Miami-FL -17 | 19-27 | Loss | -115 | 22 h 58 m | Show
Syracuse at Miami-FL 3:30 ET Hurricanes (-) over Orange- Now, wait a second, what's going on here? After Syracuse (4-3) posted their upset win over No. 2 Clemson 27-24 and the Hurricanes (5-0) defeated Georgia Tech 25-24 for their second straight last-play-of-the-game victory I was expecting a competitive match-up. But, Las Vegas doesn't think so...this game opened Miami a 13.5-point favorite and I have seen it get to 17 and higher. The seems a bit unusual to me. This is strictly an 'Insiders' play, as people behind the scenes have 'moved' this number. Go with those in the KNOW! Take MIAMI-FL! |
10-20-17 | Colorado State v. New Mexico +7.5 | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 13 h 13 m | Show
Colorado State at New Mexico 10:15 ET Lobos (+) over Rams- Colorado State has certainly has the best of it of late as far as this series is concerned winning the last seven going 5-1-1 ATS and now lead the overall series 39-25. The Rams amassed over 600 yards on offense in their 44-42 win over Nevada while New Mexico was getting pummeled at Fresno State 38-0. State on a 9-1 ATS last-10 MWC games but the Lobos are 4-0 ATS after a straight-up loss and the home team is 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine meetings. Fourth road contest in five games for the Rams and Lobos will take advantage. Take NEW MEXICO! |
10-20-17 | Cavs v. Bucks +2.5 | Top | 116-97 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
Cleveland at Milwaukee 7:00 ET Bucks (+) over Cavaliers- Cleveland won the game they 'wanted,' Opening Night, when the defeated the visiting Boston Celtics and LeBron James adversary Kyrie Irving. Milwaukee had the advantage of visiting Boston and out lasted the down trodden Celtics and posted an 108-100 victory. I still believe the LeBron James is the 'King' as his opening night performance will help attest but there is a 'new' kid on the block and at 22 years old Giannis Antetokounmpo maybe be the 'best' other player I the league. The 'Greek Freak' was outrageous in his season debut scoring 37 points with 13 rebounds three assists and three steals in the Bucks win over Boston Wednesday. Cleveland has eight new players and have Kevin Love now playing center while the Bucks who make the playoffs last season are in their home opener. Take MILWAUKEE! |
10-20-17 | Celtics v. 76ers -1 | 102-92 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 37 m | Show
Boston at Philadelphia 7:00 ET 76ers over Celtics- Really? Who is the favorite in this game? Not Boston who has the most win the Eastern Conference regular season last year are 0-2 this season after losing Gordon Hayward went down with a broken five minutes into the season. The Celtics still have the talent to regroup with Kyrie Irving leading the way but first they must over-come the 'shock' of losing such a talent for the season. Philadelphia is young and hungry for their first win of the year. They get it tonight. Take 76ERS! |
10-19-17 | Chiefs v. Raiders +3 | Top | 30-31 | Win | 105 | 10 h 20 m | Show |
Kansas City at Oakland 8:25 ET Raiders (+) over Chiefs- Both these clubs find themselves off of losses as Kansas City fell from the ranks of the undefeated (last NFL team to lose) losing to the Steelers 19-13 on Sunday while Oakland dropped their fourth straight after a quick start to the season and is now 2-4. Two of the better quarterbacks will face-off with Alex Smith emerging as an offensive leader the Chiefs would seem to have better balance then the Raiders who rely more on Derek Carr. Carr who played injured did not show much mobility and seemed tentative in his first start since his neck injury. Smith has had the best of the Raiders going 9-1 with 19 TD's and just four interceptions while Carr has lost five straight to Kansas City but has 14 TD passes in his last six home games. In a mild surprise...take OAKLAND! |
10-19-17 | Memphis v. Houston -3 | Top | 42-38 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 51 m | Show |
Memphis at Houston 8:00 ET Cougars (-) over Tigers- Memphis (5-1) blew the 'cover' but sunk the Navy 30-27 last week and now travel to Houston (4-2) for this pivotal AAC showdown as the No. 25 ranked team in the nation. The Tigers have defeated two ranked team this season and now are an underdog the a Cougars club that has lost much of its bite after losing head coach Herman to Texas. Major Applewhite returns to Houston with his club blowing a 10-point lead and losing to Tulsa 45-17 and says his club was 'humbled' after their loss. When we have here...is a ranked team an underdog against a team that lost big on the road. I'll take the Cougars to claw away a victory. Take HOUSTON! |
10-18-17 | Wolves +2 v. Spurs | Top | 99-107 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 31 m | Show |
Minnesota at San Antonio 9:30 ET Timberwolves (+) over Spurs- So, the Spurs have decided that LaMarcus Aldridge is their future as they just signed him to a $72.3 million dollar contract this will keep him in San Antonio for at least another four years. This is the same guy who has to sit out 'crunch' time because of his offensive liabilities as he just can't play on the perimeter or make free throws when it counts. Minnesota of course added Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Jamal Crawford to go with Andrew Wiggins and center Karl-Anthony Towns. Even though the Spurs have won the last 11 meetings this 'line' says things are about to change as the Spurs are without Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard. Take MINNESOTA! |
10-18-17 | Nuggets +2.5 v. Jazz | 96-106 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 48 m | Show
Denver at Utah 9:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Jazz- These are a pair of clubs that I believe are moving in opposite directions as the Nuggets have added quality in the off-season and Utah has had defections that they just can't compensate for. Gone are All-star forward Gordon Hayward their top scorer the last four seasons and George Hill their second leading scorer. To make up for this the Jazz signed points guard Ricky Rubio who has offensive short-comings. Denver was one of the hottest teams down the stretch last season missing then playoffs by one game and now they have added Paul Millsap. Utah finished 20-games over .500 last season and were 5-0 in the pre-season and now at home they are favored by less then a 3-point bucket. The tide has turned. Take DENVER! |
10-18-17 | Hawks v. Mavs -6 | 117-111 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 36 m | Show
Atlanta at Dallas 8:30 ET Mavericks (-) over Hawks- The Dallas Mavericks who won only 33 games last season missing the playoffs for only the second time in the Mark Cuban era are looking to change their offensive philosophy where they were 29th (out of 30) in the NBA last season in possessions. With the addition of Dennis Smith Jr. drafted out of NC State the offense will become 'high-tempo' attack as the preseason has shown us. Dirk Nowitzki is entering his 20th NBA season and he is still an effective offensive force. The Hawks are not the same this season as they have parted one way or another with four of their top five scorers. Last season the Mavs started 2-13 and had to play catch-up the rest of the year. Not here! Take DALLAS! |
10-17-17 | Celtics +4.5 v. Cavs | 99-102 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show
Boston at Cleveland 8:00 ET Celtics (+) over Cavaliers- 'Let the drama begin...' will he or won't 'he' play, that being LeBron James who has a high ankle sprain. There have been a slue of changes in the NBA including both these clubs who have moved 'major' players and even between each other. The biggest noise maker is the departure of Kyrie Irving from the Cavaliers to the Celtics and points guard Isiah Thomas to Cleveland. Most believe that Boston got the best of that deal especially with Thomas disabled. I expect LeBron to play with a mission in his heart as the disrespectful Irving returns at Cleveland after demanding a trade away from James. LeBron wants it bad but the Cavaliers may not be for to it. Take BOSTON! |
10-16-17 | Colts v. Titans -7 | 22-36 | Win | 100 | 11 h 51 m | Show
Indianapolis at Tennessee 8:30 ET Titans (-) over Colts- A pair of 2-3 clubs that are having difficulties fielding a healthy quarterback. The Colts have been without Andrew Luck the entire season and are going with Jacoby Brissett who threw for a career high 317 yards last week in Indianapolis' overtime win against San Francisco. Tennessee has been without Marcus Mariota and their entire team on both sides of the ball has suffered defeats to Houston 57-14 and Miami 16-10 last week. Now, with the Colts having won 11 straight meetings and being 10-1 ATS in those games including 4-1 ATS in Nashville. Now, here is a team possibly without their quarterback and has lost 11 straight to their opponent and yet they are such a strong favorite. The favorite is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings and I like them here. Take TENNESSEE! |
10-15-17 | Giants +12 v. Broncos | 23-10 | Win | 100 | 25 h 12 m | Show
New York Giants at Denver 8:25 ET Giants (+) over Broncos- Here are the Giants 0-5, the team most of the experts picked to rise in the NFC East and win the division but, the football gods have other ideas. New York is is such disarray as players walk off the field during games and it appears head coach Mr. McGoo is looking for a Dunkin Donuts so not only will New York be without their top three receivers but they will also be without five other interior starters. Eli Manning is like sludge moving uphill and makes and easy target for a team that 'goes' after the quarterback. This one might make you sick but there is only one side for me...When a team is down and everyone has counter them out they action like a cornered animal. Take NEW YORK! |
10-15-17 | Steelers +4.5 v. Chiefs | Top | 19-13 | Win | 100 | 21 h 20 m | Show |
Pittsburgh at Kansas City 4:25 ET Steelers (+) over Chiefs- Hey, what's going on here? The Steelers look like a battered and beaten club after their crushing loss to Jacksonville and now they travel to Kansas City to play the only undefeated (5-0) team in the NFL. The 'line' opened 4.5 against I expected it to rise as work of the internal problems the Steelers are facing and I have seen just the opposite as the line has moved down. Now, that either means that huge amounts of money has surfaced Pittsburgh or the 'inside men' know whats going on and expect the 'Men of Steel' to regroup and win. I trust the 'Inside men.' Take PITTSBURGH! |
10-15-17 | Dolphins +14 v. Falcons | 20-17 | Win | 100 | 18 h 6 m | Show
Miami at Atlanta 1:00 ET Dolphins (+) over Falcons- Well, Miami has sunshine, intermittent showers, beautiful women and Jay Cutler. This is not easy to do as the Dolphins have been picked apart by these dirty-birds going 1-7-1 ATS in this series. As a matter of fact Atlanta has had their way against the Dolphins during the pre-season as well. But, this line keeps getting higher and sooner or late they are going to get caught. Remember, even if the average just 10 points Miami is 2-2 and has gotten healthier over their break and I expect them to open up the offense a bit to match Matt Ryan. Take MIAMI! |
10-15-17 | Lions v. Saints -4.5 | 38-52 | Win | 100 | 18 h 2 m | Show
Detroit at New Orleans 1:00 Saints (-) over Lions- It appears that the Saints are on the march coming back strong with two convincing wins after an 0-2 start. New Orleans is home this week after a bye and that spells good news for the faithful as they are 5-0 straight-up and ATS as hosts following a bye. Detroit just doesn't fare well on the road against better then .500 clubs going 8-22 straight-up and 10-20 ATS. Lions still lack a running game and Brees will match or better anything Matthew Stafford does. Lastly, from my friend at Playbook teams returning from London are 8-0-1 ATS with a weeks rest. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
10-15-17 | Packers v. Vikings +3.5 | Top | 10-23 | Win | 100 | 18 h 59 m | Show |
Green Bay at Minnesota 1:00 ET Vikings (+) over Packers- Now, this one seems a bit 'off' to me as the ailing Vikings with no running back and an injured quarterback would be such a small underdog to Green Bay and Aaron Rogers. I am aware Sam Bradford most likely won't play and I think the Vikings are better off for it. Face it, a quarterback with mobility challenges is not a part of today's game (see Eli Manning) and Minnesota will be better with Casey Keenum who is more then capable. This one just doesn't look right...take MINNESOTA! |
10-14-17 | Michigan State v. Minnesota +4.5 | 30-27 | Win | 100 | 27 h 4 m | Show
Michigan State at Minnesota 8:00 ET Gophers (+) over Spartans- 'We' have had our way with the Spartans going against them two weeks ago with Notre Dame and with them last week against Iowa and now 'we' will complete the cycle with a Win here 'against' Michigan State. It is hard to believe that MSU won only three games last season and now they are off upset wins over Iowa and Michigan and are 4-1. Minnesota who opened the season 3-0 have dropped their last two both Big-Ten games to Maryland and Purdue. The Gophers have had issues at quarterback but will stay with Conor Rhoda who has thrown for almost 800 yards with five touchdown passes. In a tough one...take MINNESOTA! |
10-14-17 | Texas A&M v. Florida -2.5 | 19-17 | Loss | -110 | 26 h 42 m | Show
Texas A&M at Florida 7:00 ET Gators (-) over Aggies- Texas A&M had their four-game winning streak stopped by Alabama 27-19 last week and they played their 'hearts' out as coach Kevin Sumlin stated. Florida was also disappointed Saturday as they dropped a home game to wobbling LSU 17-16 as the struggled using their 3rd string quarterback Feleipe Franks who has thrown only one interception this season. The Gators 'hang their hat' on their defense and they have only allowed three rushing touchdowns this year. I like the home team to take advantage of a letdown from the Aggies after a tough Alabama battle. Take FLORIDA! |
10-14-17 | Auburn v. LSU +7.5 | 23-27 | Win | 100 | 22 h 11 m | Show
Auburn at L.S.U. 3:30 ET Tigers (+) over Tigers- HA! The Auburn Tigers (5-1) are 3-0 in SEC play with their lone loss coming as a visitor at the hands of defending National Champion Clemson 14-6. Louisiana State (4-2) has had two horrible losses to Mississippi State 37-7 and Troy 42-21 and rebounded with a 17-16 win at Florida last week. I know that Auburn looks too strong for LSU as their dominate running game has control the ball and opponents. State was off to a 2-2 last year when Coach Ed Orgeron was hired and went 6-2 the rest of the way. I expect LSU to improve as the season moves on and beating Auburn for the 7th straight time at home will silence the boo-birds. Take LOUISIANA STATE! |
10-14-17 | TCU v. Kansas State +7 | 26-6 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 51 m | Show
Texas Christian at Kansas State 12:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Horned Frogs- Texas Christian is 5-0 after slugging their way past West Virginia last week and is the only undefeated team left in the Big-12 with wins over a pair of ranked teams including Oklahoma State. Kansas State is off a 2-OT loss at Texas 40-34, but is 3-0 at home and took out TCU 30-6 last season. Bill Synder always has his teams ready when playing as an underdog against ranked teams. Horned Frogs were out-gained by 100 yards last week and this week they will pay. Take KANSAS STATE! |
10-14-17 | Texas Tech +4 v. West Virginia | 35-46 | Loss | -115 | 18 h 57 m | Show
Texas Tech at West Virginia 12:00 ET Red Raiders (+) over Mountaineers- Every year it is the sam old story with West Virginia, they beat up on the little guy early in the season and them fall on their face the first time legitimate competition show its face as they were handed losses by TCU and Virginia Tech by identical 31-24 scores. Texas Tech will enter Morgantown with a offense that will not only complete but surpass the Mountaineers. The Red Raiders are 5-0 ATS has a plus-14 turnover ratio. WV has been favored by 25, 62, 24 and were a 13-point dog last week. Playing tough opponents doesn't help their record. Take TEXAS TECH! |
10-14-17 | Michigan v. Indiana +7.5 | 27-20 | Win | 100 | 18 h 55 m | Show
Michigan at Indiana 12:00 ET Hoosiers (+) over Wolverines- Well, it took a few weeks but the attrition finally caught up with Michigan as they fell to Michigan State 14-10 last Saturday. John Harbaugh's club still leads the nation in total defense allowing just 213 yards per game. Indiana is 3-2 on the season but has failed in both conference games and hasn't beaten Michigan in Bloomington in 30 years and has lost 21 straight to the Wolves. The Hoosiers under new leadership have improved defensively and have made a move surprising at quarterback replacing Richard Lagow with Peyton Ramsey who was 32-41 for 321 yards last week. Take INDIANA! |
10-13-17 | Washington State v. California +16 | 3-37 | Win | 100 | 13 h 36 m | Show
Washington State at California 8:00 ET Golden Bears (+) over Cougars- Two weeks ago in this spot 'we' had the Cougars as a Best Bet and they came through with a 21-17 outright win over USC and last week 'we' got 'smart' and played against them in Oregon where they dominated the Ducks 33-10. Washington State opened the season with five straight home wins and then delivered a huge win in their first road encounter holding the Ducks to 40 points below their season average while Luke Falk has 10 TD passes and only two INT's. But the Cougars defense has taken a hit this week losing a pair of linebackers in Issac Dotson and Nate DeRider. Take the points...CALIFORNIA! |
10-12-17 | Eagles +3.5 v. Panthers | 28-23 | Win | 100 | 10 h 42 m | Show
Philadelphia at Carolina 8:25 ET Eagles (+) over Panthers- To start with this is a very difficult game as assess as they both are 4-1 entering this fray with the Panthers off two impressive road victories over New England and Detroit. Carolina now returns home as a favorite after winning impressively outright as an underdog and now their roll is reversed. The focal point of this match-up will be the starting quarterbacks with Cam Newton playing to a rating of 137.2 while throwing for 671 yards and six TD's and Carson Wentz is maturing game by game, In a tough call...I'll fly with the EAGLES! |
10-09-17 | Vikings v. Bears +4 | 20-17 | Win | 100 | 10 h 46 m | Show
Minnesota at Chicago 8:30 ET Bears (+) over Vikings- Well, the decision has been made and No.2 overall pick Mitchell Trubisky will be making his NFL debut on Monday Night football. Minnesota is looking for the return tonight of Sam Bradford but will be without rooking running back sensation Dalvin Cook who will be replaced by form all-pro Latavius Murray. The Bears will rely on running backs Tarik Cohen and Jordan Howard the later of which ran for 337 yards in two game against the Vikings last season. Even with Bradford's possible return the Bears will control the ball. Take CHICAGO! |
10-08-17 | Packers v. Cowboys -2 | Top | 35-31 | Loss | -125 | 9 h 7 m | Show |
Green Bay at Dallas 4:25 ET Cowboys(-) over Packers- Well, it looks to me like the faithful have lost their faith in the 2-2 Cowboys. Dallas was a beaten (outright) home favorite last Sunday as the LA Rams came to town gained over 400 yards and time of possession as well. Aaron Rogers is as good as he ever was passing for at least 300 yards in five of his last six games, unfortunately for him the pressure the Cowboys put on him will make him think that he has been 'hog-tied' as the Dallas defense raises to stuff the Packers. Remember the Cowboys did have an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter against the Rams until they started think about Green Bay coming to town. Take DALLAS! |
10-08-17 | Chargers +3.5 v. Giants | 27-22 | Win | 100 | 6 h 43 m | Show
San Diego at New York Giants 1:00 ET Chargers (+) over Giants- I'm laughing all the way to the bank on this one. The Giants are 0-4 and are at home hosting another 0-4 team in the Chargers who asr so displaced that this could be considered a home field advantage once the New York Boo-birds step up. It seems like just yesterday (not) when the Giants were trading Phillip Rivers to San Diego for Eli Manning. Well, that worked out a lot better for New York as Eli has won two Super Bowls and Rivers commutes from the San Diego to Los Angels daily for practice and games. New York to add to their woes will be without their starting center and offensive guard to go along with one of the worst rushing games in football. Surprise, Rivers gets a measure of revenge. Take SAN DIEGO! |
10-08-17 | Panthers +3 v. Lions | Top | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 6 h 37 m | Show |
Carolina at Detroit 1:00 ET Panthers (+) over Lions- I am perplexed by a few things with this game the 'price' not withstanding. The perception from the public, the wise guys and supposed 'sharps' all interested in the same side of this one. Well, when that happens I throw out all stats and try to figure out why. I admit that the Lions are one replay and count-off away from being 4-0 both straight-up and ATS while Carolina is off an outright upset win over New England. But, 'Is there something I'm not aware of about this game', something the 'books' would know but not 'us.' With social media the way it is I don't think they can keep information away from any of 'us.' So, what I am saying is I will swim upstream in this one somehow, someway we will get there! Join me with CAROLINA! |
10-08-17 | 49ers +2 v. Colts | 23-26 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 20 m | Show
San Francisco at Indianapolis 1:00 ET 49ers (+) over Colts- I'm not sure if Brian Hoyer has ever led San Francisco to a win on the field but he is 3-0 ATS in his last three though they remain winless. Well, if Hoyer and company are to get the money here they will have to virtually win the game as the spread is just a point or so. The Forty-Niners have scored touchdowns in only one of their four games kicking nine field goals without crossing the goal line in those three games! The game that they did score touchdowns was against the Rams when the lost 41-39. They will be scoring touchdowns today...I promise. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
10-08-17 | Jets v. Browns +1 | 17-14 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 17 m | Show
New York Jets at Cleveland 1:00 ET Browns (+) over Jets- Well, it only makes sense. The Jets were predicted by EVERYONE to be the worst team and the league and were not expected win win more then two games, but after four games they already have two wins and are playing the 'worst' team in the NFL the past 10 years. But, hey Cleveland has an un-fireable coach who is 1-19 and the Browns are 2-29 straight-up in their last 30 games. But, they have what 'they' believe is a bright new quarterback DeShone Kizer who was yanked out of their last game against Cincinnati and is 4-12 himself in his last 16 starts dating back to last season at Notre Dame. So, guess what...the Browns win here. The Jets are that bad and their wins are just part of an NFL season like Cleveland's win today. Take CLEVELAND! |
10-07-17 | San Diego State v. UNLV +10 | 41-10 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 4 m | Show
San Diego State at U.N.L.V. 10:45 ET Rebels (+) over Aztecs- One thing is for sure their will some talent on the field when the last of Saturday's college games kick-off as two of the nation's top running backs go head-to-head in Las Vegas. Rasheed Penny will lead the undefeated Aztecs (5-0) who have wins over Arizona State and Stanford to with Penny's 165 yards rushing per game while UNLV will counter with Lexington Thomas who is 4th in the country at 143 yards per. But, the big surprise for those that remember the Rebels lost at home to Howard as a 44-point favorite is that they will have the 'best player' on the field in quarterback Armani Rogers who will be the quickest runner they have faced this season. Good spot for Las Vegas. Take U.N.L.V.! |
10-07-17 | Stanford -4 v. Utah | 23-20 | Loss | -103 | 28 h 36 m | Show
Stanford at Utah 10:15 ET Cardinal (-) over Utes- When I first took a look at this matchup and saw the 'number' with Stanford being such a strong favorite I instinctively looked at Utah and though I was getting a bonus. Well, upon further review I took a closer look at Utah and saw this undefeated (4-0) club is also 4-0 ATS but truly does not have a quality win defeating the like of North Dakota State, San Jose State, Arizona and and extremely weak BYU. Stanford has dropped a pair of games already (USC & SD ST) and they have found their focus behind the Nation's leading rusher Bryce Love who ran for 301 last week against ASU and has 1,088 yards on the season. The Utes have won both meetings since joining the PAC-12 but will be shocked at home Saturday night. Take STANFORD! |
10-07-17 | Washington State v. Oregon +3 | Top | 33-10 | Loss | -110 | 26 h 34 m | Show |
Washington State at Oregon 8:00 ET Ducks over Cougars- Washington State has opened the season with five straight wins including their upset win over USC 30-27 which closed out a 5-game homestand. The Cougars Senior quarterback Luke Falk will lead a one-dimensional offense (1,718 passing yards) that has scored 41 points per game and has yet to see the road. Oregon has a habit of putting up points as well having scored 248 points in five games but will be without starting quarterback Justin Herbert who broke his collarbone. Playing their first road game of the season at game six is not good for the visitor. Washington State has one the last two meetings but it's time for the Ducks to fly here. Take OREGON! |
10-07-17 | Arizona +7 v. Colorado | 45-42 | Win | 100 | 25 h 14 m | Show
Arizona at Colorado 8:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Buffaloes- Both these squads come off losses with the Colorado having dropped their last two. Each one of these clubs are looking for their first PAC-12 win with the defending South Champs 0-2. The Buffs crushed Arizona 49-24 in Tucson last year and hold a 14-5 series edge but had lost four straight to the Wildcats before that victory. Arizona is averaging 41.2 points per game and rank 8th nationally rushing with 296 yards a game. That should be enough...Take ARIZONA! |
10-07-17 | LSU v. Florida -3.5 | 17-16 | Loss | -100 | 21 h 11 m | Show
L.S.U. At Florida 3:30 ET Tigers (+) over Gators- In days past I might have used the Tigers in a Game of the Year spot but some of the numbers are so over-whelming against them it is difficult to make them my top play. The idea that Louisiana State is now acceptable when you see who the defeated and their performance against quality teams the last twp weeks losing to Mississippi State 37-7 as a touchdown favorite and then falling to unheralded Troy 27-24 as a three touchdown favorite. Tigers coach Ed Orgeron has committed to quarterback Danny Etling and has stated he would play the entire game which he hasn't done yet this season. Luke Del Rio is out for the season and the Gators Feleipe Franks gets the nod. LSU is starting a fifth-year senior and Florida a red-shirt freshman. I'll side with experience. The distraction of Homecoming will not help the Gators! Take LOUISIANA STATE! |
10-07-17 | Miami-FL v. Florida State +3.5 | Top | 24-20 | Loss | -120 | 21 h 9 m | Show |
Miami-FL at Florida State 3:30 ET Seminoles (+) over Hurricanes- I love when these two teams meet but this season the match-up was pushed back because of Irma but the rivalry is as intense as ever. Florida State (1-2) who has won seven straight in this series but has major issues coming into this pivotal battle as they have lost their quarterback for the year and haven't been able as of yet to pick-up the pieces. The Hurricanes blow into Tallahassee a perfect 3-0 having won eight straight games dating back to last season and their average margin of victory has been 21 points. The Seminoles must rely on their defense to rise as that have yet to show any consistency on offense scoring just three touchdowns on 12 trips inside the Red Zone. Still, State's entire season is on the line here. Take FLORIDA STATE! |
10-06-17 | Boise State v. BYU +9 | 24-7 | Loss | -115 | 12 h 13 m | Show
Boise State at B.Y.U. 10:15 ET Cougars (+) over Broncos- Neither of these clubs are meetings their normal standard as Boise State has lost two games in September for the just the third time in 16 years. BYU is off to a horrid 1-4 start and have not looked good at all with their only win against Portland State. But, there are plenty of problems for the Broncos who are just 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 encounters and just 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings with BYU. The Cougars are no prize of late going 1-5 ATS in their last six but come up big here. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG! |
10-05-17 | Patriots v. Bucs +6 | 19-14 | Win | 100 | 10 h 58 m | Show
New England at Tampa Bay 8:25 ET Buccaneers (+) over Patriots- For the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots there is good news and bad news. To start with Tom Brady is the same at 40 years old that he was in his 20's as he currently leads the NFL in passing yards with 1,400 and TD passes with 10 and no interceptions. The bad news is New England's defense which is dead last in the NFL in total defense surrendering 457 yards per game. Tampa Bay has defensive issues of their own as they are last in the NFC in total defense 2nd worse to only the Patriots allowing 394 yards per game. The Buccaneers have struggled with their ground game without Doug Martin but returns tonight and that aids Winston and the rest of Tampa's offense. Take TAMPA BAY! |
10-02-17 | Redskins +7 v. Chiefs | Top | 20-29 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 33 m | Show |
Washington at Kansas City 8:30 ET Redskins (+) over Chiefs- The Kansas City Chiefs are the lone remaining undefeated team ending Week 4 Monday night as they host Washington. The Chiefs offense has a 'new' look this season with the electrifying rookies Kareen Hunt who leads the NFL with 401 yards rushing (3 games) and has three 50-yard-plus touchdowns. The Redskins whopped the Raiders 27-10 last Sunday night as Kirk Cousins threw for 365 yards while winning Player of the Week award. The last time the Chiefs played on a Monday night the crushed New England 41-14 in 2014 but that won't help here. Take REDSKINS! |
10-01-17 | Colts v. Seahawks -13 | 18-46 | Win | 100 | 27 h 23 m | Show
Indianapolis at Seattle 8:30 ET Seahawks (-) over Colts- A pair of 1-2 clubs that have just about the same offensive stats. For the Colts we understand as Andrew Luck is still sidelined as they have managed 53 points in three games while Seattle has scored just 48 with a healthy Russell Wilson. Indianapolis is coming off their lone win against Cleveland and now go to one of the most difficult places to play against a team that got trounced last weekend by the Titans. The line is extremely high considering Seattle's weak offense but their defense with smother the Colts. Take SEATTLE! |
10-01-17 | Raiders +3 v. Broncos | Top | 10-16 | Loss | -100 | 22 h 55 m | Show |
Oakland at Denver 4:25 WT Raiders (+) over Broncos- Last season the Raiders appeared to have the AFC wrapped up and then Derek Carr went down and Oakland went into the tank losing out the final two weekends including the final Sunday at Denver and were dominated 24-6. It looked to me like the Raiders took last Sunday night off as they were never in it against Washington while Denver was laying down at Buffalo. (Bills AFC GOM Winner) Oakland has revenge on its mind and get the money here. Take OAKLAND! |
10-01-17 | Giants v. Bucs -2.5 | Top | 23-25 | Loss | -120 | 22 h 48 m | Show |
New York Giants at Tampa Bay 1:00 ET Buccaneers (-) over Giants- I am loving it! The entire pre-season everyone was touting the Giants to beat Dallas and run away with the NFC East...HA! Here they are 0-3 and truly caught up stream without a paddle, they have no running game (zero, nada, none) and their defense allows 153.3 yards per game. Eli Manning is immobile and is forced to rush his throws which have become increasingly inaccurate. Tampa Bay is off a lackluster performance at Minnesota where Winston threw three interceptions and they ran for just 26 yards. Look for a strong defensive effort from the Buccaneers as the Giants offense sputters again. Take TAMPA BAY! |
10-01-17 | Panthers +10 v. Patriots | 33-30 | Win | 100 | 19 h 11 m | Show
Carolina at New England 1:00 ET Panthers (+) over Patriots- Man, I try and avoid two things on Sundays. Playing 'against' New England or 'on' Carolina. But, sometimes just just comes up that way and you have to hold your nose and just take it. Both teams are 2-1 and 1-2 ATS but after an opening loss to Kansas City Tom Brady has a passer rating of 146.5 throwing for 825 yards with eight TD's and ZERO interceptions. The Panthers posted two wins where they only allowed three points each to Buffalo and San Francisco in their wins but were shredded by Drew Brees. Cam Newton has been getting a lot of heat this week and I can see him raising his level of play against the Patriots. Take CAROLINA! |
10-01-17 | Jaguars v. Jets +3.5 | Top | 20-23 | Win | 100 | 19 h 2 m | Show |
Jacksonville at New York Jets 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Jaguars- Don't get the idea that 'we' are taking New York because of any Jet-lag (please excuse that one) after their game in London last Sunday. Teams returning to the States (please stand) from England actually show a winning record the past nine games winning seven. Jacksonville is felling really good about themselves and it all revolves around the running game as Leonard Fournette has help give Blake some breathing room. New York is off their best defensive effort in nine years while holding Jay Ajayi to less then 30 yards. They will do it again to Fournette and they will record their fourth straight win over the Jaguars. Take the J-E-T-S! |
10-01-17 | Bills +9 v. Falcons | 23-17 | Win | 100 | 19 h 51 m | Show
Buffalo at Atlanta 1:00 ET Bills (+) over Falcons- Well, so much for the Super Bowl loser jinx as the Falcons enter week 4 undefeated and going 2-1 ATS. The Bills are 2-1 but a shinning 3-0 ATS with Tyrod Taylor leading the way. But it is Buffalo's defense that has been the difference posting 10 sacks and zero touchdown passes enter the game with the league No. 1 scoring defense allowing just 12.3 points per game. lAtlanta has won the last four meetings with the Bills last win coming in 1995. That could change Sunday. Take BUFFALO! |
09-30-17 | Colorado v. UCLA -7.5 | 23-27 | Loss | -105 | 28 h 31 m | Show
Colorado at UCLA 10:30 ET Bruins (-) over Buffaloes- Okay, it's time to let the Bruins off the hook. 'We' have played against UCLA three times with season and we are 3-0 ATS and this week I've decided to give them a break and make the call 'on' them. Both clubs were crushed in their PAC-12 openers last week but the Bruins have a much brighter future then do the Buffaloes mainly because the have the most productive passing offense in the nation averaging 452 yards per game (just a note Army has 36 passing yards in 4 games with zero in two of them). Colorado will present a defense for a while but eventually break down Take UCLA! |
09-30-17 | Oklahoma State v. Texas Tech +10.5 | Top | 41-34 | Win | 100 | 25 h 4 m | Show |
Oklahoma State at Texas Tech 8:00 ET Red Raiders (+) over Cowboys- There will be football filling the air Saturday when these two high scoring offense take the field. Talk of being one of the Final-4 was stopped in Stillwater after Oklahoma State beating at the hands of TCU as Heisman candidate Mason Rudolph turned the ball over three times although passing for 398 yards. Texas Tech (3-0) is undefeated and is 6-0-1 ATS the past seven years in their Big-12 opener and is averaging 45-points per game. The winning team has scored 45 points or more in eight of the last 10 meetings and with QB Nic Shimonek passing for 416 yards per game give the Red Raiders a fighting chance. Take TEXAS TECH! |
09-30-17 | South Carolina v. Texas A&M -7.5 | 17-24 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 38 m | Show
South Carolina at Texas A&M 7:30 ET Aggies (-) over Gamecocks- South Carolina opened the season on the road with two impressive wins as underdogs over N.C. State 35-28 and Missouri 31-13. Then they returned home as favorites and lost outright to Kentucky 23-13 and won a non-cover over Louisiana Teach 17-16. The Aggies have bounced back after blowing a 35-point lead against UCLS have won three straight scoring 95 points in their last two games games and scored 44 in their loss to the Bruins. Too much offense for the Gamecocks...Take TEXAS A&M |
09-30-17 | Iowa v. Michigan State -4 | Top | 10-17 | Win | 100 | 21 h 23 m | Show |
Iowa at Michigan State 4:00 ET Spartans (-) over over Hawkeyes- This was the first game 'I spied' upon getting the opening lines for this week and it is really a great spot for a number of reason. Starting with the fact that 'we' were 2-0 with Iowa (+) over Penn State and the Irish 'against' Michigan State last week and that the Hawks were out-gained by 300 yards and the Spartans out-gained the Irish by 150 yards. I am expecting the Hawkeyes to be flat this time out after losing on the final pay of the game against the Lions while the Spartans were making mistakes and now I expect a huge rebound here out of them. Take MICHIGAN STATE! |
09-30-17 | Florida State v. Wake Forest +7.5 | 26-19 | Win | 100 | 21 h 36 m | Show
Florida State at Wake Forest 3:30 ET Demon Deacons (+) over Seminoles- Okay, I did everything I could to avoid this game but there is just no way around it. Granted most of us upon hearing the records of these two opponents 4-0 and 0-2 would naturally think that Florida State was 4-0 and Wake Forest was 0-2 but...nope. The Seminoles have no fire-power without their quarterback Francois and are playing freshman at QB and a first year player at running back while the Demon Deacons are going with a senior that has learned how to win. Take WAKE FOREST! |
09-30-17 | Georgia v. Tennessee +8.5 | Top | 41-0 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 31 m | Show |
Georgia at Tennessee 3:30 ET Volunteers (+) over Bulldogs- Georgia (Heavy Hitter) was part of our 'Big Game' Sweep Saturday and now with the pressure off they remain a favorite in tough SEC territory. The Volunteers slept-walked through their contest against Massachusetts (17-14) last week with the thought of today's encounter in their heads. Rocky-Top will be 'rockin' Saturday and Tennessee will be ready for the Bulldogs running game will be balance it out with John Kelly who leads the SEC in rushing. Take TENNESSEE! |
09-29-17 | USC v. Washington State +5 | Top | 27-30 | Win | 100 | 13 h 16 m | Show |
USC at Washington State 10:35 ET Cougars (+) over Trojans- This will be State's fifth straight home game to open the season scoring at least 31 points in every game as they are 1-0 in PAC-12 action with a win over Oregon State. The Trojans are 2-0 in conference play with wins over Stanford and California and are 5-1 ATS in their last six visits to Pullman and 19-3-1 overall. But, coach Mike Leach is 9-1 ATS with Washington State as an underdog against undefeated foes. The Cougars average over 44 points per game led by 4th year quarterback Luke Falk who is completing 77% of his passes with 14 touchdowns and only one interception. Take WASHINGTON STATE! |
09-28-17 | Bears +7.5 v. Packers | 14-35 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 44 m | Show
Chicago at Green Bay 8:25 ET Bears (+) over Packers- This is the oldest NFL rivalry as these two clubs are meetings for the 195th time in a series that has been dominated by Green Bay is recent years including six of the last seven meetings. With a win here the Packers can take the series lead that the Bears have held since 1932. Aaron Rogers is 15-4 against Chicago and has thrown for over 300 yards in each of the three games but average only 69 yards rushing per game. The Bears running game posted 220 yards rushing against the Steelers last week and aver over 125 yards on the ground per game. Take CHICAGO! |

09-28-17 | Texas -4.5 v. Iowa State | 17-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 45 m | Show
Texas at Iowa State 8:00 ET Longhorns (-) over Cyclones- Texas has garnered plenty of attention this season starting with a 'new' head coach in Tom Herman, their opening game loss as an 18-point favorite to Maryland where they surrendered 51 points to their double-overtime 27-24 loss to USC. Iowa State could be 3-0 if not for a 4th quarter and overtime collapse against Iowa as they blew two 14-point leads. The Cyclones wins have come against Northern Iowa and Akron but are just 5-16 in Big-12 openers. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 12-2, are 5-1 in Ames and 16-5 all-time in Big-12 openers. Take TEXAS! |
09-25-17 | Cowboys v. Cardinals +3.5 | 28-17 | Loss | -120 | 10 h 5 m | Show
Dallas at Arizona 8:30 ET Cardinals (+) over Cowboys- For the most part I would love to 'fade' both these clubs. First, it is easy to play against Dallas as the Cowboys are the media and public darlings but I know how bad the Cardinals really are. After their performance last time out and with the scrutiny that has been focused on Ezekiel Elliot's lack of hustle Dallas should have a more concerted effort. Arizona, meanwhile staged a narrow come-from-behind win at Indianapolis which exploited their weaknesses after an opening loss at Detroit. This is the Cardinals first game at home in over a month and that will help. Take ARIZONA! |
09-24-17 | Raiders v. Redskins +3.5 | Top | 10-27 | Win | 100 | 27 h 32 m | Show |
Oakland at Washington 8:25 ET Redskins (-) over Raiders- Oakland has been the darlings of the 'public' so far winning and getting the money in both their games against the Jets and Titans. Washington lost their home opener to Philadelphia and then went to Los Angeles and shocked the Rams. History is not on the Raiders side in this Sunday night encounter as they are 1-8 straight-up and 3-6 ATS against the NFC East including 0-3 straight-up and ATS after a win. Add that they are 0-7 ATS when entering a Sunday night game off two straight wins. Take the REDSKINS! |
09-24-17 | Chiefs v. Chargers +3.5 | Top | 24-10 | Loss | -115 | 23 h 35 m | Show |
Kansas City at L.A. Chargers 4:25 ET Chargers (+) over Chiefs- The Chiefs are off and running posting two impressive wins over New England and Philadelphia averaging 35 points in the process. San Diego (oops) Los Angeles is off to another poor start (0-2) losing their first two games by a combined five points and have lost six straight in a series that has the Chiefs ahead 58-54-1. Kansas City has defeated AFC West opponents in 11 straight games but will have their hands full with Melvin Gordon and Phillip Rivers leading the Chargers offense. Take LOS ANGELES! |
09-24-17 | Broncos v. Bills +3.5 | Top | 16-26 | Win | 100 | 20 h 32 m | Show |
Denver at Buffalo 1:00 ET Bills (+) over Broncos- Okay here's the deal, Denver has looked like the best team in the NFL manhandling both the Chargers and Cowboys at home. Having used the Broncos as my 'highest-rated' Megabucks release I was pleased but not surprised. The Bills on the other hand are the same old story with one win over the Jets (if that counts) at home and a tough 'cover' last week against Carolina. It appears the Denver just does not like playing Buffalo as they are 1-6 ATS in their last seven meetings. Coming off Dallas is not treat as teams are just 3-7 ATS after beating the Cowboys and the Broncos are 1-8 ATS as favorites before facing the Raiders. Take BUFFALO! |
09-24-17 | Dolphins v. Jets +6.5 | 6-20 | Win | 100 | 19 h 23 m | Show
Miami at New York Jets 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Dolphins- Miami has been on an extended road trip as the hurricanes kept them out of south Florida until after their victory over the L.A. Chargers. Still, entering the third week of the season they once again fid themselves on the road. After returning home the Dolphins player had to deal with the aftermath of the storms and have been distracted since getting back. Granted the Jets are one the league's worst but they will put forth an effort in their home opener. With double revenge New York is 16-2-1 ATS record after losing two straight in this series. Take NEW YORK! |
09-24-17 | Falcons v. Lions +3 | 30-26 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 47 m | Show
Atlanta at Detroit 1:00 ET Lions (+) over Falcons- So now, the media is clambering about the Falcons who have managed to avoid the Super Bowl loser letdown with wins over Chicago (non-cover) and Green Bay in their first two games. This is fine but the season has a long way to go and these 2-0 Super losers are 3-7-1 ATS in Game 3. Atlanta was very impressive in their win over Green Bay but are 0-5 ATS after a Sunday Night victory. The Lions handled the Giants on Monday night but it was more of New York's ineptness that handed them the win. But, today they do it on their own. Take DETROIT! |
09-23-17 | UCLA v. Stanford -7 | 34-58 | Win | 100 | 30 h 58 m | Show
U.C.L.A. at Stanford 10:30 ET Cardinal (-) over Bruins- I saw it happen! Look, Saturday I posted Memphis over UCLA as my NCAA Game of the Month, the Bruins had a lead and then heard that they were on the 'wrong' end of my release and were just so crushed emotionally they rolled over and have not been able to recover psychologically as of yet. Stanford who at 1-2 has not a chance of getting down to the Final Four took their medicine when 'we' posted USC as a Megabucks winner against them two weeks ago and now they get rewarded as my 'Late Bail-Out' Best Bet winner. Take STANFORD! |
09-23-17 | Notre Dame -3 v. Michigan State | 38-18 | Win | 100 | 25 h 24 m | Show
Notre Dame at Michigan State 8:00 ET Fighting Irish (-) over Spartans- So, here is Michigan State playing their third straight home game to open the season off wins and 'covers' against Bowling Green and Western Michigan not two 'Big Ten' conference quality opponents. Notre Dame enters this fray 2-1 playing three FCS opponents losing to Georgia 20-19 but defeating Temple and Boston College. With the Irish having played only one quality opponent and losing I was surprised to see them the favorites in East Lansing. State's defense has been noteworthy but their offense and competition come to question. Take NOTRE DAME! |
09-23-17 | Penn State v. Iowa +13 | Top | 21-19 | Win | 100 | 25 h 16 m | Show |
Penn State at Iowa 7:30 ET Hawkeyes (+) over Nittany Lions- There are number of factors that play into this selection as they big, bad Lions (3-0) come roaring into Kinnick Stadium after throttling their first three opponents by a combined score of 141-14. Last season at home Penn State won easily 41-14 as a 7-point favorite and now they are bumped to almost twice that number and that is a tough price to beat. Iowa is a club that plays well at home as a conference home dog (9-2 ATS) as well as a when looking for revenge (7-1 ATS). Sure, the Lions have the flash in McSorley and Barkley but the Hawkeyes counter with Nathan Stanley (10-TDs, 1-Int) who manages the game without mistakes. Take IOWA! |
09-23-17 | Mississippi State v. Georgia -4 | Top | 3-31 | Win | 100 | 24 h 27 m | Show |
Mississippi State at Georgia 7:00 ET Bulldogs (-) over Bulldogs- Happy to say 'we' used Mississippi St (+7) 37-7 as a 'Heavy Hitter' OUTRIGHT winner over LSU but, do I expect another high level energy and flawless performance...No I do not. Although State has outscored it's opponents 143-28 teams that 'upset' LSU are a poor 18-30 ATS (Thanks ML) next time out. Georgia 'hurt' 'us' a couple weeks back by taking Notre Dame down as a outright dog winner and here they stand as a shrinking favorite. This is the home teams' SEC opener and they are bring a ground game that Miss. St. has not seen the likes of. Take GEORGIA! |
09-23-17 | San Diego State v. Air Force +3.5 | Top | 28-24 | Loss | -105 | 25 h 45 m | Show |
San Diego State at Air Force 7:00 ET Flacons (+) over Aztecs- San Diego State has surprise a few this season by not this guy where was on them twice against Arizona State and Stanford both outright wins. The Aztecs have the nation's leading rusher in Rashaad Penny who already has three Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week awards. Penny averages 196 yards rushing per game as he enter the conference opener in Colorado Springs where Air Force is 18-2 straight-up in their last 20 contests which including 5-0 ATS as underdogs. Bad spot for Aztecs who upset Stanford on a TD pass with less then a minute to play. Time runs out on them Saturday. Take AIR FORCE! |
09-23-17 | Central Florida +4.5 v. Maryland | Top | 38-10 | Win | 100 | 21 h 59 m | Show |
Central Florida at Maryland 3:00 ET Knights (+) over Terrapins- Maryland has opened the season 2-0 scoring over 50-points in both wins while averaging 315 yards rushing with wins over Texas and Towson. Central Florida has had a three week break due to weather and scored 61 points points themselves in their opener against Florida International who had 17. The Knights will be looking to atone for their sloppy 30-24 loss last season in Orlando will extra time between contests gives us a trend favoring the Knights 12-4-1 ATS in Game 2 off a win and rest. Add that Maryland is just 5-10 ATS as a non-conference home favorite. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA! |
09-22-17 | Utah v. Arizona +4 | 30-24 | Loss | -115 | 25 h 5 m | Show
Utah at Arizona 10:30 ET Wildcats (+) over Utes- Arizona has run up the score in two routs over powder-puff opposition beating Northern Arizona 62-24 and UTEP 63-16 and falling to Houston 19-16 in between. The Utes 3-0 have had their way against North Dakota 37-16, San Jose 54-16 and a weak BYU club 19-13. Utah is led by dual threat quarterback Tyler Huntley who is 80-of-111 and is the team's leading rusher. The Wildcats will look to run the ball sitting 6th Nationally averaging 328 rushing yards a game. With Utah breaking a 4-game losing streak in the series at home last season well tonight the Wildcats 'right-the-ship.' Take ARIZONA! |
09-21-17 | Rams v. 49ers +3 | Top | 41-39 | Win | 100 | 11 h 31 m | Show |
L.A. Rams at San Francisco 8:30 ET 49ers (+) over Rams- Two of the NFL's weakest clubs will meet tonight with a pair of rookie coaches leading the way. The Rams posted an opening week win over the also hapless Colts but fell as a favorite to Washington last week. San Francisco is 0-2 and has yet to score a touchdown playing as good as it could against Seattle in their 12-9 loss last Sunday. The Niners have lost two of their stellar starts on defense as Eric Reid and Reuben Foster but have seem the emergence of Carlos Hyde who ran for 124 yards against Seattle last week. This time he runs for the win. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
09-18-17 | Lions v. Giants -3 | Top | 24-10 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
Detroit at New York Giants 8:30 ET Giants (-) over Lions- The Giants are off their dismal offensive performance in their opening game scoring just 3 points in their loss to Dallas. New York was without Odell Beckham Jr. and it affected their already weak running game that managed just 35 yards on the ground and just two first downs in the first half. Detroit meanwhile was came from behind winner as they closed out Arizona with in the 4th quarter scoring the final 19 points of the game. The battle between quarterbacks Eli Manning and Mathew Stafford should fill the air with footballs as both as used to fourth quarter come-backs as they are No. 1 and 2 in 4th quarter comebacks. Tonight the Giants won't need it. Take NEW YORK! |
09-17-17 | Cowboys v. Broncos +3 | Top | 17-42 | Win | 100 | 21 h 57 m | Show |
Dallas at Denver 4:25 ET Broncos (+) over Cowboys- Ya know, all week I'm lookin' at the Broncos and I'm thinking why should Dallas come in here and be favored? Yes, they just dominated their main division competition at home and travel for a non-conference affair. Denver is off their Monday Night win (barely) over the Chargers and have had only six days but did not have to travel anywhere. They were home the entire week and signing former starting quarterbacks for insurance. Great spot for Broncos. Take DENVER! |
09-17-17 | Jets +14 v. Raiders | 20-45 | Loss | -115 | 20 h 16 m | Show
New York Jets at Oakland 4:05 ET Jets (+) over Raiders- After all the lectures that I gave myself about not jetting involved in games concerning the New York Jets here I am. Last week at Buffalo the Jets gave it the 'old college try' so to speak and came up short straight-up 21-12 and ATS. Last week the Raiders were having a gay old time in Nashville as they took apart Tennessee in the second half for a 26-16 road win. Take the New York J-E-T-S! |
09-17-17 | Patriots v. Saints +7 | Top | 36-20 | Loss | -115 | 19 h 21 m | Show |
New England at New Orleans 1:00 ET Saints (+) over Patriots- Maybe it's just that the Pats are done. It happens to dysentery all the time. Where teams go from the best to absolutely dreadful over night the Giants of the 60's the . It just looks like the same old Saints team that hasn't had a winning record since 2013. Injuries just continue to haunt New England as they lost another receiver with Danny Amendola going down throws to Brandin Cooks who was with Brees and the Saints for three years with consecutive 1,000 yard seasons. The Patriots showed very little for the preseason and what we saw in their first game leaves a lot of questions. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
09-17-17 | Bears +7 v. Bucs | 7-29 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 17 m | Show
Chicago at Tampa Bay 1:00 ET Bears (+) over Buccaneers- Strange as this might sound but Tampa Bay is probably the most 'banged-up' team in the league and they haven't played a game yet. Between hurricanes Harvey and Irma they haven't had a consistent place to rest or a consistent venue to practice. The Bears meanwhile came within a goal-to-goal conversion of beating the Falcons but has to settle with a ATS (+6.5) 17-23 cover. Chicago has a game under their belt and that is a decided advantage in this spot. Take DA' BEARS! |
09-17-17 | Titans v. Jaguars +3 | 37-16 | Loss | -135 | 17 h 2 m | Show
Tennessee at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Titans- I have not problem coming back with Jacksonville after posting them last week as a 'High Roller' winner over Houston. Everyone was shocked at the Jaguars defense (10 sacks) and offense that did not turn the ball over. The Titans were shocked themselves as the Raiders stole their thunder losing 26-16 and not showing much offense at all. The secret for the Jags will be out soon with Leonard Fournette running the ball controlling it will be a lot easier. I expect the 'public' to back Tennessee and by game time you will get the optimum number. Take the points though you won't need them...JACKSONVILLE! |
09-16-17 | Clemson v. Louisville +3.5 | Top | 47-21 | Loss | -115 | 27 h 5 m | Show |
Clemson at Louisville 8:00 ET Cardinals (+) over Tigers- Wow, what a great match-up with the Heisman winner up against the defending National Champs. Clemson enters Pope John's Cardinal Stadium with 10 consecutive games on opponents fields and are 3-0 lifetime over Louisville including a 42-36 win at home last season. In that game Cardinals quarterback Lamar Jackson accounted four 457 yards and four touchdowns. In two games against Purdue and North Carolina the Heisman winner is averaging 505 yards per game 385 of which is passing. Look for the home team to gain some revenge for last season's loss at Clemson. Take LOUISVILLE! |
09-16-17 | Kansas State v. Vanderbilt +4 | 7-14 | Win | 100 | 26 h 30 m | Show
Kansas State at Vanderbilt 7:30 ET Commodores (+) over Wildcats- Kansas State has scored 55 points in each of their first two contests as they destroyed power-puffs Central Arkansas 55-19 and Charlotte 55-7. Vanderbilt who has also posted two wins over weaker competition defeated Mid-Tenn State 28-6 and Alabama A&M 42-0 showing vast improvement on defense. This in only the 2nd meetings between these two with Vandy posting a 26-14 win in 1984. We will all recognized the improvement the Commodores have made when this game goes final. Take VANDERBILT! |
09-16-17 | LSU v. Mississippi State +7.5 | 7-37 | Win | 100 | 26 h 48 m | Show
L.S.U. At Mississippi State 7:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Tigers- Difficult to gauge these two clubs after their performances against weak non-conference competition where they both crushed their opponents. But, there are some signals that can give us insight into tonight's match-up. There are a few things to note about LSU as the Tigers committed 21 penalties in their first two games and have struggled with their kicking game (field goals) once again. The Bulldogs fell to the Tigers 23-20 in Baton Rouge and believe it was some home-town cooking that caused their defeat. This time out they get the win. Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
09-16-17 | Oregon v. Wyoming +14.5 | 49-13 | Loss | -115 | 24 h 1 m | Show
Oregon at Wyoming 7:00 ET Cowboys (+) over Ducks- After losing eight of their final 10 games last season Oregon has opened 2-0 under new coach Willie Taggart as they did last season and are averaging 59.5 points in wins over Southern Utah 77-21 and Nebraska 42-35 (led 42-14 at half). Wyoming opened the season with big hype as quarterback Josh Allen was being talked about as a Heisman candidate but a 24-3 loss at Iowa silenced that gibberish. So the Cowboys bounced back with a 27-0 win over Gardner Webb which is not too impressive while the Ducks took the 2nd half off against the Cornhuskers and should be well rested. But, Wyoming is 8-1 in last nine at home and is 2-4 at home against Power 5 since 2000. Take WYOMING! |
