11-29-16 | Pistons +3.5 v. Hornets | 112-89 | Win | 100 | 8 h 53 m | Show
Detroit at Charlotte 7:00 ET Pistons (+) over Hornets- When the Hornets moved to the favorite on the road last night 'we' posted them as a Best bet and they rewarded us with a convincing 104-84 win. Their opponent tonight the Piston have struggled on the road where they are 1-8 both straight-up and against the points. Coach Stan Van Gundy has made it known that 'they are going to play better on this road trip.' With point guard Reggie Jackson ready to return the Pistons surprise the Hornets tonight. Take DETROIT! |
11-28-16 | Packers +4 v. Eagles | 27-13 | Win | 100 | 11 h 33 m | Show
Green Bay at Philadelphia 8:30 ET Packers (+) over Eagles- Philadelphia opened the season with three straight wins and all the league was a flutter about rookie Carson Wentz but they have lost five of their last seven and are now in the basement in the NFC East. Green Bay meanwhile has lost four straight and they look bad doing it. Aaron Rogers just doesn't look the same and many believe that it is because of the players surrounding him and some think that he's physically impaired but he says that things are fine. Well, we will find out tonight as the Packers regroup. Take GREEN BAY! |
11-28-16 | Hornets +2 v. Grizzlies | 104-85 | Win | 100 | 10 h 35 m | Show
Charlotte at Memphis 8:05 ET Hornets (+) over Grizzlies- These two met last Monday in Charlotte and the Grizzlies behind Mike Conley who scored 31 points in a 105-90 win. Memphis has now won seven of eight and are playing some of the best defense in the league. The Grizzlies are second in NBA scoring defense allowing just 96.9 points per contest. Kemba Walker scored just 12 points in his match-up against Conley last week and I expect a huge turn-around for him and the Hornets. Take CHARLOTTE! |
11-28-16 | Celtics v. Heat +3.5 | 112-104 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 2 m | Show
Boston at Miami 7:35 ET Heat (+) over Celtics- With the return of Al Horford and Jae Crowder the Celtics ran off three straight wins before the Spurs halted their run on Friday. Miami who is just 2-6 at home has had trouble scoring points without Goran Dragic in the line-up but he returns tonight. With his absence Dion Waiters has picked up the slack scoring 18.8 points in his last eight games. Boston won all three meetings last season and the Heat get this first one this season. Take MIAMI! |
11-28-16 | Kings +5 v. Wizards | 95-101 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 37 m | Show
Sacramento at Washington 7:00 ET Kings (+) over Wizards- This is the second of seven straight road games for Sacramento who opened this trip with a 122-105 win over Brooklyn yesterday behind DeMarcus Cousins 37 points. Last year the home team won and covered both meetings and the Wizards have won nine of its last 11 at home versus the Kings. Washington is just 4-5 at home and these two should play even tonight which gives advantage to the points. Take SACRAMENTO! |
11-27-16 | Patriots v. Jets +8.5 | Top | 22-17 | Win | 100 | 23 h 50 m | Show |
New England at New York Jets 4:25 ET Jets (+) over Patriots- Okay, straight-up I don't see how anybody can beat the Patriots if Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady are healthy and playing. I mean really Gronk is like Frankenstein out there he controls so much space and Brady doesn't need much room to complete a pass. The Jets who are out of playoff contention will start Ryan Fitzpatrick who split the pair last year but leads the league in interceptions. New England is 5-0 on the road while New York is 1-3 at home, those number will come closer together starting this afternoon. Take the J-E-T-S! |
11-27-16 | Seahawks v. Bucs +6 | Top | 5-14 | Win | 100 | 23 h 39 m | Show |
Seattle at Tampa Bay 4:05 ET Buccaneers (+) over Seahawks- Break-up the Buc's! Tampa Bay has won two in-a-row and is at .500 looking to make trouble in the NFC. Jameis Winston always seems to be in the mix as he has accounted for at least one touchdown running or passing in his last 26 games. The Seahawks are off three straight wins including a Sunday night at New England and Buffalo and Philadelphia at home. With Carolina up next at home where they are 5-0 Seattle might be 'peeking'. Look for the Buccaneers to come hard and pull out the win. Take TAMPA BAY! |
11-27-16 | Titans v. Bears +6 | 27-21 | Push | 0 | 20 h 57 m | Show
Tennessee at Chicago 1:00 ET Bears (+) over Titans- A match-up of two also-rans, although Tennessee still has a chance because of their weak division. The Titans Marcus Mariota is maturing before out very eyes as he has 23 touchdowns and only eight interceptions in this his second season. Chicago hung tough against the Giants last week and eked out a 'cover' but failed to score a point in the second half. The Bears are pretty beat-up physically and Matt Barkley will make his first career start. Now, like I said last week when the Rams started Goff at QB that I would rather play against a first-time starting quarterbacks. The thing is about the Bears what difference does it makes who starts this whole team reeks. But, they are 2-2 at home and will rally together for this win. Take CHICAGO! |
11-27-16 | Cardinals +6 v. Falcons | Top | 19-38 | Loss | -115 | 20 h 48 m | Show |
Arizona at Atlanta 1:00 ET Cardinals (+) over Falcons- If any of you have been around this season you know that I have no regard for Arizona and that I have stated they are a hoax and will never win with Carson Palmer as your leader. That being said after seeing them play last week (we had the winner with the Vikings) a loss where they dominated the play but had a pick-6 at the goal line, a kick return and a flea-flicker go for touchdowns against them. Atlanta seems to be doing the same old time getting off to a quick start and them fading as the season wears on. Matt Ryan is having the best season of his career and it won't be enough today. Take ARIZONA! |
11-27-16 | Giants v. Browns +7 | 27-13 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 40 m | Show
New York Giants at Cleveland 1:00 ET Browns (+) over Giants- HA! I know, but only because it's New York. I mean if Cleveland were to win a game this season who would they most likely beat? It won't happen against the elites but a team like the Giants how have over-achieved (I am a fan but I don't believe they are that 7-3 good) and could get caught here. I remember the days when Jim Brown would carry the Giants famous defense of the 50's and 60's but these Giants play smaller. Although the Browns will most likely start Kevin Hogan and this kid know how to win. Take CLEVELAND! |
11-26-16 | Wyoming v. New Mexico +3 | Top | 35-56 | Win | 100 | 25 h 46 m | Show |
Wyoming at New Mexico 10:15 ET Lobos (+) over Cowboys- We have had great success both on and against the Cowboys in recent weeks winning against with UNLV and with them last week an outright win over San Diego State. This week they travel to Albuquerque to face New Mexico who are 4-1 at home this season while Wyoming is 2-3 on the road. The Lobos are averaging 42.2 points at home while the Cowboys surrender 39.8 points away from home. Brian Hill is all conference for the Cowboys but he will be countered by Tyrone Owens who averages 8.1 yards per attempt and has over a 1,000 on the season. Bing-bang-boom! Take NEW MEXICO! |
11-26-16 | Utah v. Colorado -9 | 22-27 | Loss | -106 | 22 h 14 m | Show
Utah at Colorado 7:30 ET Buffaloes (-) over Utes- After playing against the Utes last week and winning with Oregon I expected to come-back with them this week as an underdog at Colorado. There is one problem I did not expect...I did not expect the Buffaloes to be double-digit favorites considering each of the five Pac-12 meetings between these two have been decided by one possession. Colorado can lock up their first division title since 2005 when they were part of the Big-12. After their heartbreaking last second loss to the Ducks Utah just can't muster enough to play with the Buffs who have won five straight. Colorado has the Pac-12 Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week and they continue today. Take the BUFFALOES! |
11-26-16 | Oregon v. Oregon State +3 | Top | 24-34 | Win | 100 | 19 h 51 m | Show |
Oregon at Oregon State 4:00 ET Beavers (+) over Ducks- it has been a long time since the 'Civil War' has been played by two sub-.500 clubs. Both Oregon and State are 2-6 in the Pac-12 and coming off victories. The Ducks took down Utah 34-33 last week and knocked the Utes out of conference title contention while the Beavers ended a five-game losing streak against lowly Arizona 42-17. It has been a disappointing season to say the least for Oregon and even a win here won't help. Take OREGON STATE BEAVERS! |
11-26-16 | Navy v. SMU +7 | 75-31 | Loss | -103 | 19 h 38 m | Show
Navy at Southern Methodist 3:30 ET Mustangs (+) over Midshipman- Navy enters this contest already having clinched a spot in the ACC Championship game but the sire has yet to be determined. A win for the 'Middies' would help secure the game being played at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. SMU with a win would become bowl eligible fort he first time in five years. The Midshipman have won the last six meetings but the Mustangs have enough offense to keep the Navy at bay. (see how I did that). Take the MUSTANGS! |
11-26-16 | West Virginia v. Iowa State +7 | 49-19 | Loss | -104 | 19 h 31 m | Show
West Virginia at Iowa State 3:30 ET Cyclones (+) over Mountaineers- West Virginia had their dreams dashed last week when they receive a dose of reality as Oklahoma handed them a 56-28 pounding. The Mountaineers have to be letdown as their New Year's Day bowl hope were handed this dreadful loss. Iowa State came to life against Texas Tech last week (1 of our 3 winners) as they set school records for conference points (56), points in a quarter (31) as they posted their first 600 yard game in eight years. Take IOWA STATE! |
11-25-16 | Pelicans +5 v. Blazers | 104-119 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 55 m | Show
New Orleans at Portland 10:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Trailblazers- New Orleans started the season with eight straight losses and have been scrambling ever since winning six of their last eight including their last four. Portland has dropped their last two and five of their last six and defense seems to be their issue. The Blazers allow 118 points per contest. The Pelicans are 4-0 since the return of Jrue Holiday and have Anthony Davis who is dominating on both end of the floor. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
11-25-16 | Raptors v. Bucks +3.5 | Top | 105-99 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 59 m | Show |
Toronto at Milwaukee 8:05 ET Bucks (+) over Raptors- This is the last stop for Toronto on their five-game road trip where they have split 2-2 but are 1-3 ATS. Milwaukee is fighting to reach .500 and a win here would get them there. The Bucks have dropped five of their last seven but are coming off a win over Orlando 93-89 where Giannis Antetokounmpo has a triple double with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists along with five steals and three blocked shots. The Raptors have the leagues leading scorer in DeMar DeRozan but have cooled off after a quick start. Take MILWAUKEE! |
11-25-16 | Wizards v. Magic +2 | 94-91 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 5 m | Show
Washington at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Wizards- There is no doubt the Wizards have one of the best back court combos in the NBA with Bradley Beal (20.2 pts) and JohnWall (23.5 pts) but have been hampered by injuries to their forwards Markieff Morris and Otto Porter. Orlando has had problems scoring ranking 30th in field goal percentage and 29th in scoring while winning six of 15 games. Washington has yet to win a game on the road and they struggle here. Take the MAGIC! |
11-25-16 | TCU +3.5 v. Texas | 31-9 | Win | 100 | 6 h 1 m | Show
Texas Christian at Texas 3:30 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Longhorns- Going 16-20 over a three year period will not cut it at Texas for Charlie Strong as this is surely his last game as coach of the Longhorns. A number of player say they may stand down in support of their coach but if they only played better on the field. TCU is off their worst home loss in Gary Patterson's 17 year career. Too distraction in Austin for the 'Horns to succeed and the true of the matter is that the coaching advantage here goes to TCU and it isn't even close. Take the HORNED FROGS! |
11-25-16 | Washington v. Washington State +7 | 45-17 | Loss | -130 | 6 h 57 m | Show
Washington at Washington State 3:30 ET Cougars (+) over Huskies- This is the first time in 15 years that these two are meeting with both clubs ranked as No. 5 Washington is still fighting for the Pac-12 and possible national title. Chris Peterson has the Huskies in position in his third season at the helm. The Cougars started slowly (as usual) losing their first two and then reeled off eight straight win until last week losing a Colorado 38-24. Coming home with the dreams of upsetting the intra-state rival would cap what has been a successful season. Take WASHINGTON STATE! |
11-25-16 | Arkansas v. Missouri +9 | 24-28 | Win | 100 | 5 h 14 m | Show
Arkansas at Missouri 2:30 ET Tigers (+) over Razorbacks- I know 'we' got sucker-punched with Missouri last week as they just were not able to stop Tennessee's offense. Since head coach Barry Odom has gone to calling his own plays the Tigers offense has become balanced and formidable. Last week they amassed over 300 yards both rushing and passing and 740 total yards. Arkansas had their way against Mississippi State last week but has failed many times because they don't make many stops on defense. Arkansas has not won at Missouri since 1944 and they won't win here. Take MISSOURI! |
11-24-16 | Steelers v. Colts +10 | 28-7 | Loss | -127 | 21 h 1 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Indianapolis 8:30 ET Colts (+) over Steelers- I'm kinda upset with my side here as I was ready to use Indianapolis as the Top-rated release but with the current quarterback situation for the Colts I have to back-off a bit. I have always stated that 'teams' win games and not the individuals who play it. If that makes any sense, so therefore I an inclined to stay with my first instinct. This is a huge game for Indy with a national audience, home crowd and a chance to shine. Somehow...the COLTS! |
11-24-16 | LSU v. Texas A&M +7.5 | 54-39 | Loss | -119 | 23 h 53 m | Show
Louisiana State at Texas A&M 7:30 ET Aggies (+) over Tigers- Their is one thing Texas A&M hasn't had since jointing the SEC in 2012 and that is a win ore a'cover' for that matter against LSU. The Tigers have had a roller coaster season losing Les Miles as coach and having Leonard Fourette hobbled a good portion of the time. LSU's offense is lacking but their defense is the only one in the FBS to hold each of their opponents to 21 or fewer points in every game this season. and A&M's defense isn't the best but they can score (35 pts per) and the 12th Man will help. Take the AGGIES! |
11-24-16 | Vikings +2.5 v. Lions | 13-16 | Loss | -104 | 16 h 11 m | Show
Minnesota at Detroit 12:30 ET Vikings (+) over Lions- Understanding that turn-about is fair-play I must take the Vikings here. 'We' were on the Lions (+6) in Week #9 and they put Minnesota away 22-16 in overtime. So, even though they leave much to be desired with the worst offense in the NFL, I believe the visitor is the side here. Detroit has trailed in the fourth quarter every game has pulled out six wins The problem is they don't run the ball anymore (14 yards last wk vs Jax) and the Vikings defense will beat one-dimension offenses. The Lions have won and covered their last three Thanksgiving Day games and that's enough. Take MINNESOTA! |
11-23-16 | Raptors +4 v. Rockets | 115-102 | Win | 100 | 8 h 45 m | Show
Toronto at Houston 8:00 ET Raptors (+) over Rockets- The Raptors were off to a great start (7-2) as they opened fast with DeMar DeRozan leading the league in scoring and then they took to the road and his production fell. Houston won both meetings last season and now that James Harden is leading the way under offensive minded coach Mike D'Antoni's he is dominating the ball and play. Losers of their last two the Raptors will put it together tonight against a clubs that has won their last three. Tonight fortunes reverse themselves. Take TORONTO! |
11-23-16 | Heat +5 v. Pistons | 84-107 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 15 m | Show
Miami at Detroit 7:30 ET Heat (+) over Pistons- Last season both these clubs were point spread darlings but this season is a whole different story. Miami has dropped seven of their last nine and are off a loss to Philadelphia while Detroit has dropped four in-a-row the last two at home by 2-points each. Two of the league's best rebounder will face off as Hassan Whiteside (15-9) and Andre Drummond (13.9) go head-to-head. The problem for the Pistons down the stretch of games is their weak free throw shooting and yet the Heat are even worse (65.8%) which is last in the NBA. Still, tonight it is MIAMI! |
11-23-16 | Spurs v. Hornets +5.5 | Top | 119-114 | Win | 100 | 8 h 47 m | Show |
San Antonio at Charlotte 7:00 ET Hornets (+) over Spurs- So Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is not happy with his team's performance in their last contest a 96-91 win over Dallas which was his club's sixth straight victory. Meanwhile Hornets' coach Steve Clifford has a squad that has dropped their last two and four of their last six and says his team is learning and hopes to get better. These two split their two meetings last season with the Hornets win ending a 10-game losing streak to the Spurs with a 91-88 home win. San Antonio is 7-0 on the road and 5-2 ATS but after the Hornets terrible effort last time out they win here. Take CHARLOTTE! |
11-22-16 | Thunder v. Lakers +3 | Top | 109-111 | Win | 100 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
Oklahoma City at L.A. Lakers 10:30 ET Lakers (+) over Thunder- The Thunder certainly have the most exciting player in the league in Russell Westbrook but after a quick start to the NBA season (6-0) they have fallen six of their last nine as Westbrook throws up shots from anywhere on the court. Yes, he is a huge assists man but there are five players and the Thunder are just not well balanced. The Lakers on the other hand are young and spirited looking to prove that they belong. OKC has won the last nine meetings but will be facing a different Lakers squad this time out. Take LOS ANGELES! |
11-22-16 | Bulls v. Nuggets +2 | 107-110 | Win | 100 | 10 h 50 m | Show
Chicago at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Bulls- The Chicago Bulls have gone 5-1 straight-up and 6-0 ATS in their last six as they enter Denver for their fourth road game in a six-game trip. The Nuggets has split their last four straight-up but are 4-0 ATS while the Bulls are not only 0-4 in their last four meetings with Denver but also 0-4 ATS in their last four trips the 'Mile-High City.' Denver who has one of the strongest home court advantages in the NBA is just 2-4 at home and I expect that to improved starting tonight. Take DENVER! |
11-22-16 | Towson -3 v. Boston College | Top | 70-80 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 25 m | Show |
Towson at Boston College 7:00 ET Tigers (-) over Eagles- Boston College who opened the season with a loss to Nicholls ended a 20-game losing streak by defeating Maryland Eastern Shore and Stony Brook winning their last two. Towson took No. 23 Maryland down to the final horn Sunday losing by three and are 2-1 on the season. Rebounding will be the key for Towson as they grabbed 17 offensive boards in each of their last two games and have out-rebounded 22 consecutive opponents. The Eagles have won their last two but they are 335 among 349 Division I teams shooting 56.9 percent from the free throw line. Take TOWSON! |
11-21-16 | Texans +6 v. Raiders | 20-27 | Loss | -104 | 11 h 41 m | Show
Houston vs Oakland 8:30 ET Texans (+) over Raiders- This could be considered a road game for both squads as they play this contest in Mexico City. The Raiders do not mind playing one of their home games here as they are 5-0 on the road. Even though Houston acquired Brock Osweiler in the off season they have the worst passing attack in the NFL averaging just 187.3 yards per game, although he did throw for 308 yards against Oakland last season when he played with Denver. Derek Carr has come into his own with 17 touchdown passes and only three interceptions. The Texans will use their strong running game and defense to compete here and get the money. Take HOUSTON! |
11-21-16 | Celtics v. Wolves +2 | 99-93 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 4 m | Show
Boston at Minnesota 8:00 ET Timberwolves (+) over Celtics- The Celtics are getting healthy as Al Horford has returned from a concussion and Jae Crowder is back as they missed a combined 17 games. Minnesota who has traded wins and losses in their last six games are off their worst performance of the season scoring only 71 points Saturday against Memphis. Lat year's Rookie of the Year Karl-Anthony Towns berated his teammates after that loss as he saw a lack of commitment in their attitude. The Timberwolves were second in the NBA in scoring before their collapse against the Grizzlies as these two teams have split their last eight meetings with the home team winning four times. I expect Thibodeau to have the young Wolves ready. Take MINNESOTA! |
11-21-16 | Magic +6 v. Bucks | 89-93 | Win | 100 | 9 h 1 m | Show
Orlando at Milwaukee 8:00 ET Magic (+) over Bucks- Milwaukee who was the first team to defeat Golden State last season almost turned the trick again Saturday before losing 124-121. The was the Bucks third straight loss as they look to reverse their fortunes against an Orland team that has lost five of their last six after starting 5-2. The all-time series is ties at 50 wins apiece with the home team winning and 'covering' the last four. Despite their losses of late the Magic have held their last three opponents under 90 points. Take ORLANDO! |
11-21-16 | Rockets v. Pistons +2.5 | 99-96 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 38 m | Show
Houston at Detroit 7:00 ET Pistons (+) over Rockets- The Pistons are following a pattern that affects most NBA middle-of-the-road clubs ads they play well at home and usually fail on the road. Detroit os 5-1 when playing as hosts but only 1-7 when playing on the road. Houston has the surprise assist leader in James Harden who dishes 13.5 passing for scores on the road where he is shooting 49.3 percent. The Pistons have dropped four of their last six but have won the last two meetings against the Rockets and win again here tonight. Take DETROIT. |
11-20-16 | Raptors v. Kings +3.5 | 99-102 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show
Toronto at Sacramento 9:00 ET Kings (+) over Raptors- Sacramento has been good to 'us' their last two times out coming from behind to 'cover' in both contests after trailing in the fourth quarter by 17 and 19 points against the Spurs and Clippers. The strange fact about this match-up is that the Kings have won the last three meetings including 96-91 victory in Toronto two weeks ago. Sacramento has dropped their last four games and will turn to a 'small' lineup with Cousins, one forward and three guards. This is the second of a five-game road trip for the Raptors who won in overtime at Denver on Friday and will come up short tonight. Take the KINGS! |
11-20-16 | Xavier v. Northern Iowa +5.5 | 67-59 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 33 m | Show
Xavier vs. Northern Iowa 7:00 ET Panthers (+) over Musketeers- This is the championship game in the Puerto Rico Tip Off where No. 9 Xavier will play Northern Iowa that is being played in Orlando, Florida. (Go figure) Xavier won the AdvoCare Invitational on this same court (HP Field House) last season. The Panthers have the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year in guard Jeremy Morgan who averages 16 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.3 steals while forward Bennett Koch does the dirty work inside. This time it's NORTHERN IOWA! |
11-20-16 | Eagles +6.5 v. Seahawks | 15-26 | Loss | -107 | 22 h 54 m | Show
Philadelphia at Seattle 4:25 ET Eagles (+) over Seahawks- Both these clubs are off defeating division leaders as the Eagles flew over the Falcons at home while Seattle took care of the Patriots Sunday night in New England. For the Seahawks it was a great emotional win as they turned the tables on the Patriots with a goal line stand in the final second for the win. Seattle may lead the NFL in scoring defense allowing just 17.6 points per contest but Philadelphia is right behind them allowing just 17.8 points. Teams after defeating New England are just 11-18 ATS next time out. A slugfest where points will be at a minimum. Take the points. Take the EAGLES! |
11-20-16 | Patriots v. 49ers +12 | 30-17 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 44 m | Show
New England at San Francisco 4:25 ET 49ers (+) over Patriots- I can't believe that I'm doing this, I promised myself after beating New England last Sunday night I would just take the money and run. Instead I'm running with the cash to play one of most disappointing team to back with your cash. But, hey I'm playing with 'his' money now. The Pats might be without Gronkowski but he has a huge replacement in Martellus Bennett who make a huge target himself. Listen, Tom Brady who leads the league in completion percentage (72.9) and passer rating (125.5) can do what he wants against the 49ers defense that ranks last in the NFL in total yards (429.7) and rushing yards (180.4) allowed. So. What is this? Why would I take the Niners here. Well, the Pats opened 13.5 and the 'sharps' in Las Vegas have the public laying 11.5. Niners play close this week. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
11-20-16 | Dolphins v. Rams +2 | Top | 14-10 | Loss | -103 | 22 h 36 m | Show |
Miami at Los Angeles 4:05 ET Rams (+) over Dolphins- Man, I've been sitting on this one since last Sunday night. First, I heard good news, 'that Miami was not returning to Florida” but were staying in California for the week. Now, that may seem like a good idea to you but for a football team from the east or south for that matter does not establish a good mindset. Think about it spending a week in the land of 'fruits and nuts' where everything is so laid-back you begin to think about La-La Land. Of course then came the bad news...a rookie starter. That for ions has been a 'kiss-of-death' to bettors. Okay, so Jared Goff gets the start against a team that has won their last fur. But, the Rams can play defense and together will rally around their new leader and pull out the victory! Take LOS ANGELES! |
11-20-16 | Jaguars +6 v. Lions | 19-26 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 4 m | Show
Jacksonville at Detroit 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Lions- Who really believed that the Detroit Lions would be tied for the NFC North division lead entering week 11? I never gave it a thought. But, here we are. Now, we see that T.J Yeldon leads Jacksonville in rushing with a paltry 285 on the season and along with Chris Ivory they have two whole running touchdowns leaving them 26th in the league which believe it or not in one spot above the Lions. Blake Bortles was supposed to lead his club to the playoff and now they have lost four straight committing mistake after mistake (11 interceptions). Detroit is 6-20 straight-up and 8-18 ATS before they meet the Vikings. So, somehow they will get there. I just can't lay it with the Lions. Take JACKSONVILLE! |

11-19-16 | USC v. UCLA +13.5 | Top | 36-14 | Loss | -104 | 26 h 48 m | Show |
Southern California at UCLA 10:30 ET Bruins (+) over Trojans- Now that the pressure is off USC as they crushed Washington as my Pac-12 game of the Year 26-13 (as a 8-point dog) they think that I will give them a pass this week against their cross-town rivals...nope can't do it! Even though UCLA is among the worst in rushing (127 out of 128) this is one of those games (yes, one of those games) where you do throw out their records. But, there are plenty of trends on the Bruins sideline, they are 10-2 ATS at the Rose Bowl when the Trojans enter after a win and any team that defeats a 9-0 or better team is 8-24 ATS the following week. Because if you did you could never play the Bruins. But, I will hold me nose and take UCLA! |
11-19-16 | Warriors v. Bucks +6.5 | 124-121 | Win | 100 | 8 h 47 m | Show
Golden State at Milwaukee 8:30 ET Bucks (+) over Warriors- The last time that the Golden State Warriors made a visit to Milwaukee they were 24-0. The the unthinkable happened, the Bucks handed the Warriors their first loss (108-95) of the year. Milwaukee has dropped four of their last five including a 96-73 loss their last time out in Miami. Golden State has won their last six and five of the last six meetings but really won't take Milwaukee as a major threat. Take the BUCKS! |
11-19-16 | Wolves -3 v. Grizzlies | Top | 71-93 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 20 m | Show |
Minnesota at Memphis 8:00 ET Timberwolves (-) over Grizzlies- The Minnesota Timberwolves may well be the most over-rated team in the NBA as the odds-makers are giving them a whole lot of respect. Memphis comes home with a 7-5 record and are off a total annihilation of Dallas allowing just 64 points. The point here is that the 4-7 Wolves are favored at Memphis which does not seem right when you consider the Griz are 11-4 ATS at home in back-to-back encounters. These two have met twice already this season with the home team taking both contests. This time the tables turn. Take MINNESOTA! |
11-19-16 | Heat +5 v. Wizards | 114-111 | Win | 100 | 6 h 23 m | Show
Miami at Washington 7:00 ET Heat (+) over Wizards- The Wizards finally put together some offense as John Wall and Bradley Beal played together for only the second time this season. Miami on the other hand just ended a six game losing streak and they haven't scored 100 points in any of their last seven games. Defense is the key for the Heat and Hassan Whiteside has established himself as a major shot blocking force and the Heat will stay close. Take MIAMI! |
11-19-16 | Stanford v. California +11 | 45-31 | Loss | -106 | 20 h 12 m | Show
Stanford at California 2:30 ET Golden Bears (+) over Cardinal- Okay, 'The Game' just doesn't have the same luster on it this season as it has had in the past but don't tell that to anyone playing for either of these two schools or any of their alumni for that matter. Stanford has been very disappointing their Heisman candidate Christian McCaffery was injured and their defense just couldn't pick up the slack. I've seen California play and although they can move the ball I am still waiting to see someone on defense to make a tackle. Stanford has won and covered the last four but is just 3-11 ATS after playing Oregon including 1-7 ATS after a win. This is a game everyone will be ready to play. Take CALIFORNIA! |
11-19-16 | San Diego State v. Wyoming +10 | 33-34 | Win | 100 | 19 h 43 m | Show
San Diego State at Wyoming 3:30 ET Cowboys (+) over Aztecs- At 9-1 on the season ans 6-0 in their division of the Mountain West they need only defeat Colorado State at home next week, while the Cowboys at 5-1 have a shot in their side. Wyoming got ambushed by UNLV in Las Vegas last week as they week gazing ahead to this encounter. Their will be two great running backs on display in San Diego State's Donnel Pumphrey 1,779 yards and needs just 347 to get to No.1 all-time, while the Cowboys have Brian Hill who is third in the nation with 1,417 yards. Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen might be the difference. Take COWBOYS! |
11-19-16 | Texas Tech v. Iowa State +4 | 10-66 | Win | 100 | 18 h 9 m | Show
Texas Tech at Iowa State 3:30 ET Cyclones (+) over Red Raiders- Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury in beginning to remind me of that NBA coach Mike D'Antoni that sees only one-side of the court or field. The Red Raiders lead the nation in passing offense with 473.1 yards per game but their defense allows 42.1 points per game and the result is four wins in 10 tries. Iowa State has fallen back this season as they had to rally from an 11-point deficit to win their first Big-12 game of the season and their only other win was against San Jose State. It just is a bad spot for the Red Raiders. Take IOWA STATE! |
11-19-16 | Oregon +14.5 v. Utah | 30-28 | Win | 100 | 17 h 7 m | Show
Oregon at Utah 2:00 ET Ducks (+) over Utes- “Ya know, when a team is saying that they are not looking ahead”, it means that they are looking ahead and the Utes will be thinking about next weeks match-up against Pac-12 leader Colorado. Oregon has fallen big time surrendering over 43 points a game and have only three wins in 10 contests. Utah won last seasons meetings 62-20 but the Ducks are 20-9 in the all-time series and 7-1 as dogs of 3 or more points in conference. They know that they aren't going to a bowl but Oregon does average 37.1 points and can use their speed to cause the Utes fits! Take OREGON! |
11-18-16 | Clippers v. Kings +8.5 | 121-115 | Win | 100 | 11 h 36 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Sacramento 10:30 ET Kings (+) over Clippers- The Clippers have been dominating the league to date but had their seven-game winning streak stopped in Memphis on Wednesday while Sacramento has dropped their last three. Los Angeles is 5-0 on the road and have won six of the past seven meetings while the Kings have lost their last three. Sacramento seems to have difficulty playing a full 48-minutes as they have 'dead' periods during the game where they seem to lose their focus. Coach Dave Joeger has addressed the issue and expects a better and complete effort. Take SACRAMENTO! |
11-18-16 | Raptors v. Nuggets +4 | Top | 113-111 | Win | 100 | 9 h 9 m | Show |
Toronto at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Raptors- The Toronto Raptors are trying to get to the upper level and join the league's elite but have shown that they have a way to go coming off consecutive losses against Cleveland and Golden State. Now, they start a five-game road trip and travel to Denver where the 'mile high' air makes it difficult to overcome the weakest of opposition. The Nuggets have posted three of their four wins on the road while the Raptors have won three-of-four on the road. I believe these numbers will move to the center. Take DENVER! |
11-18-16 | Blazers v. Pelicans +2 | 101-113 | Win | 100 | 8 h 12 m | Show
Portland at New Orleans 8:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Trailblazers- New Orleans may have the 'best' all-round playing in the NBA with Anthony Davis but they have the league's worst record. The injury bug continues to haunt the Pelicans but they will see the return of point guard Jrue Holiday who has been dealing with family health problems. Portland who has won eight of the past 10 meetings has dropped their last two including a loss 126-109 loss at Houston last night. This time around take NEW ORLEANS! |
11-18-16 | Memphis v. Cincinnati +7.5 | 34-7 | Loss | -120 | 10 h 34 m | Show
Memphis at Cincinnati 8:00 ET Bearcats (+) over Tigers- Over the years of sports handicapping there has always been that one school, it didn't matter if it was football or basketball that just didn't win when they were supposed to. I don't mean as heavy favorites I just mean they were in a great spot and they always seem to fail and that institution is Cincinnati. Now, they are struggling big time with head coach Tommy Tuberville so stressed he's screaming back at spectators. Memphis is off a first-an-goal disappointment last week against South Florida and are out of any ACC (3-3) awards. The Tigers have lost three-of-four while Bearcats haven't scored a touchdown in 10 quarters. Tonight they will! Take CINCINNATI! |
11-17-16 | Saints v. Panthers -3 | 20-23 | Push | 0 | 10 h 51 m | Show
New Orleans at Carolina 8:30 ET Panthers (-) over Saints- Sunday night both these clubs looked back on their days work and said 'how in the world did we f..k that up?' Carolina blew a 17-point lead without giving up a defensive touchdown and New Orleans did not win because they couldn't execute an extra-point as a matter of fact they allowed the opposition to score on a blocked return. Which of these two is more able to recover? Maybe it doesn't matter as one side can play defense and the other can not! The Saints have the fourth worst defense surrendering 401 yards per game and Cam Newton has enough weapons to out last New Orleans. Take the PANTHERS! |
11-17-16 | 76ers v. Wolves -11 | Top | 86-110 | Win | 100 | 9 h 52 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Minnesota 8:00 ET Timberwolves (-) over 76ers- The Timberwolves are young and coach Tom Thibodeau is getting impatient waiting for his young squad to play like professionals on a daily basis. Philadelphia who has enough 'young' players of their own posted just their 2nd win in 11 tries last night and have won three of the last four against the Wolves but are 0-4 on the road this season. Philadelphia's Joel Embiid is finally on the floor after two years of rehab although playing every other game he leads the team in scoring and will be available tonight. Minnesota's talent is raw but it is there. Take the TIMBERWOLVES! |
11-17-16 | Louisville v. Houston +15 | 10-36 | Win | 100 | 9 h 24 m | Show
Louisville at Houston 8:00 ET Cougars (+) over Cardinals- Since their loss to Clemson the first weekend in October Louisville knew they had to be perfect the rest of the way and so far they have been, reeling off five straight wins. Houston had such promise as they opened the season with a win over Oklahoma and stayed unbeaten (5-0) until they were sunk at Navy 46-40 and then two weeks later by SMU and are 0-6 ATS since October 1. The Cardinals are explosive but Houston has the offensive fire-power to counter Louisville and are confident enough after pulling of last season's upset 34-31. This time with the points at home! Take HOUSTON! |
11-17-16 | Knicks v. Wizards -2.5 | 112-119 | Win | 100 | 8 h 43 m | Show
New York at Washington 7:00 ET Wizards over Knicks- Washington was a playoff team last season but haven't shown much this year as they have won just two-of-10 and were defeated by the lowly 76ers last night. New York on the other hand took care of business last night against the Pistons winning at home 105-102. Wizards new coach Scotty Brooks looks to have his club improve its defense and loves the guard combo of John Wall and Bradley Beal (when healthy) with a club that has won six of their last seven meetings against the Knicks!. Take WASHINGTON! |
11-16-16 | Spurs v. Kings +6 | Top | 110-105 | Win | 100 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
San Antonio at Sacramento 10:30 ET Kings (+) over Spurs- The Spurs who were 40-1 at home last season are just 3-3 as hosts this season but they are a perfect 5-0 on the road. This is already the second meeting between these two in Golden 1 Center as the Spurs and Kings opened the season here as San Antonio won their sixth straight in the series 102-94 as an 8.5-point favorite. This time they are a the lowest point-spread that they have been favored in their last eight visits. Sacramento has dropped their last two but has had five days to get ready for this contest. Take the KINGS! |
11-16-16 | Warriors v. Raptors +6 | 127-121 | Push | 0 | 8 h 60 m | Show
Golden State at Toronto 8:00 ET Raptors (+) over Warriors- It looks like the Warriors are starting to put 'it' together as they have reeled off four straight wins averaging 122.5 points as it starts a four-game road trip north of the boarder in Toronto. The Raptors who are trying to break into elite status lost at NBA Champion Cleveland last night and now host the league's runner-up. Last season Golden State won both meetings but the Raptors as underdogs got the money both times. This time out they will get more then the money as an outright win is very likely. Take TORONTO! |
11-15-16 | Bulls +3 v. Blazers | 113-88 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show
Chicago at Portland 10:00 ET Bulls (+) over Trailblazers- In some early season games it appeared that the Trailblazers were more concerned with scoring points then playing any defense while the Bulls are strength is their defense with 'new' guards Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo. They have a true NBA star with Jimmy Butler taking the lead scoring 37 points in their 106-95 win over Washington on Sunday. I expect a huge effort from the Bulls here. Take CHICAGO! |
11-15-16 | Kansas +2.5 v. Duke | 77-75 | Win | 100 | 10 h 50 m | Show
Kansas vs. Duke 9:30 ET Jayhawks (+) over Blue Devils- Two of the nation's more storied college basketball programs as Duke and Kansas will face off in New York's Champions Classic in New York's Madison Square Garden. The Blue Devils opened against a pair of 'cupcakes' defeating Marist and Grand Canyon while Kansas was taken down by Indiana 103-99 in overtime in Honolulu Friday. Having played a big-time school like Indiana gives the Jayhawks and edge in what to expect from top competition while the Devils will be hard pressed. Take KANSAS! |
11-15-16 | Hawks v. Heat +6.5 | Top | 93-90 | Win | 100 | 7 h 6 m | Show |
Atlanta at Miami 7:35 ET Heat (+) over Hawks- Without Dwyane Wade the Miami Heat (2-7) haven't shown much aside from Hassan Whiteside who has eight double-doubles and nine straight double-digit rebound games. Atlanta has won their last four including a win at Cleveland with newly acquired Dwight Howard leading the way. The Hawks have 'covered' seven of their first nine while Miami is just 2-4 ATS in their last six. With the Heat returning home its time for the rolls to swing back toward the center. Take MIAMI! |
11-15-16 | Raptors +6.5 v. Cavs | 117-121 | Win | 100 | 7 h 41 m | Show
Toronto at Cleveland 7:05 ET Raptors (+) over Cavaliers- The last time I remember DeMar DeRozan he was choking his way their the 2016 NBA playoffs and now he is the league's leading scorer and 'Player of the Week. The Cavaliers defeated the Raptors in the season opener at Toronto 94-91 as a 3-point favorite as DeRozan scored 32 points while LeBron James is just playing his normal all-round great games night after night. Toronto has won three straight and is 3-0 on the road. This one should come down to the final buzzer. Take the RAPTORS! |
11-14-16 | Thunder v. Pistons -2.5 | 88-104 | Win | 100 | 8 h 6 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Detroit 7:35 ET Pistons (-) over Thunder- Oklahoma City was off to the quick start (5-0) without Kevin Durant as Russell Westbrook was posting Triple-doubles on a daily basis. The Thunder have cooled off as a team losing four of their last five but Westbrook remains the same posting a 'Triple' last night in their 119-117 loss to Orlando. Detroit who is 4-0 at home finally posted a road win in their sixth try against Denver Saturday as they had six players score in double figures. The Pistons have had balanced scoring all season and a team will defeat an individual every time (see Wilt Chamberlin). Take DETROIT! |
11-14-16 | Villanova v. Purdue +2 | Top | 79-76 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 59 m | Show |
Villanova at Purdue 7:00 ET Boilermakers (+) over Wildcats- Last year's National Champion Villanova open the season with a rout of Lafayette 88-48 as they led 49-17 at the half. Purdue who starts the season in the Top-20 out-ran McNeese State in their opener 109-65. There is a contrast between these two as the Wildcats have a talented back court as where the Boilermakers have an impressive front line with Caleb Swanigan (23 points, 20 rebounds vs. McNeese) and Vince Edwards. Purdue has a point guard of their own as well with Jalen Brunson and can muster up a win at home. Take PURDUE! |
11-13-16 | Seahawks +7.5 v. Patriots | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 23 h 3 m | Show
Seattle at New England 8:25 ET Seahawks (+) over Patriots- The Patriots have not lost a wager since the return of Tom Brady and it as if he's playing with a monster 'chip-on-his-shoulder' and might be sending a message to Roger Goodell. Seattle has been very fortune at 5-2-1 and has a grudge and a score to settle against New England going back to the Super Bowl two years ago. The Seahawks are 3-0 against the AFC East defeating Miami, Buffalo and the New York Jets but haven't faced a quarterback like Tom Brady who has 12 TD passes and zero interceptions. Off of their Monday night performance and now a healthy Russell Wilson is 9-3-1 ATS as a regular season underdog. Take SEATTLE! |
11-13-16 | Lakers v. Wolves -4.5 | 99-125 | Win | 100 | 9 h 60 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Minnesota 7:05 ET Timberwolves (-) over Lakers- The Lakers closed last season with 13 straight road losses and opened this season with three more road losses but have turned things around winning their last three away from home highlighted by lat night's 126-99 rout of the Pelicans at New Orleans. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have yet to find themselves under new coach Tom Thibodeau as they come off a home loss last night to the L.A. Clippers. Ricky Rubio returned to the line-up after a five-game absence due to an elbow injury and he help fill the void created by rookie Kris Dunn's weak performances (4-22 shooting). With these team arrantly headed in opposite directions I think it odd that Minnesota is the favorite. I look for them to respond with a home win tonight. Take MINNESOTA! |
11-13-16 | Cowboys v. Steelers -3 | 35-30 | Loss | -105 | 20 h 15 m | Show
Dallas at Pittsburgh 4:25 ET Steelers (+) over Cowboys- Well, we know one thing for sure about this contest and that is Dak Prescott with be starting at quarterback against Dallas. Tony Romo is beginning to make his presence felt as he is taking more and more reps in the Cowboys practices and appears to be just about fully recovered from his back injury. Pittsburgh has had quarterback injury problems of their own but Ben Roethlisberger's replace has not been as efficient as the Cowboys replacement. It took Big Ben three quarters to work off the rust last week against the Ravens and he will be good to go here. The Steelers always have given the Cowboys fits and they are 11-1 straight-up and 12-0 ATS after playing the Ravens and beat goes on here. Take PITTSBURGH! |
11-13-16 | Dolphins +4.5 v. Chargers | Top | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 21 h 45 m | Show |
Miami at San Diego 4:05 ET Dolphins (+) over Chargers- With a new found running game behind Jay Ajayi Miami has won three straight as they travel cross country to battle San Diego. The Dolphins have yet to post a road victory as all four of their wins came at home as they produced 222, 256 and 137 yards rushing their last three games. San Diego has a running game of their own as Melvin Gordon has 768 yards rushing on the season. This should be a close one and I see the newly inspired Dolphins getting the money. Take MIAMI! |
11-13-16 | Packers v. Titans +3 | Top | 25-47 | Win | 100 | 18 h 55 m | Show |
Green Bay at Tennessee 1:00 ET Titans (+) over Packers- The Packers have dropped their last two and everybody seems to be piling on Aaron Rogers but when you look at the stats the Green Bay problem shouldn't fall on him. Rogers has 10 TD passes and only one interception. The Packers problem is their running game as they have gone to wide receiver Ty Montgomery as running back due to Eddie Lacy's season ending injury. Injuries are taking their toll as Jared Cook was been sidelined, linebacker Clay Mathews is missing practice and Jordy Nelson has not returned to form after missing last season. Packers missing to much and Titans capitalize. Take TENNESSEE! |
11-13-16 | Texans v. Jaguars -2.5 | 24-21 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 47 m | Show
Houston at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Texans- It's hard for me to believe that Houston is at the top of the AFC South but they are as they visit the last place team in their division. Jacksonville has dropped their last three games and are winless at home (0-3). The Texans have struggled on offense failing to reach 300 total yards on offense in four of their last six games but have managed to score on defense in each of their last three games. Jacksonville picked up their offense last week against the Chiefs rushing for a season high 205 yards behind running back Chris Ivory with T.J. Yeldon sharing the work load. This time around it's the JAGUARS! |
11-13-16 | Falcons v. Eagles +1 | 15-24 | Win | 100 | 17 h 47 m | Show
Atlanta at Philadelphia 1:00 ET Eagles (+) over Falcons- The Atlanta Falcons behind Matt Ryan have the no. 1 offense in the NFL as he leads with 23 touchdowns and 2,980 passing yards as well as the top scoring offense at 34 points per game. The Eagles have lost four of five since their quick 3-0 start behind rookie quarterback Carson Wentz but are in a perfect spot to pull of a win here as Atlanta is off an easy encounter against Tampa Bay. And are 1-7 ATS as an underdog after playing the Bucs. This is the 4th week in a row that the Eagles will be playing an opponent with extra rest but they will overcome it this week. Take PHILALDEPHIA! |
11-12-16 | Pistons +5.5 v. Nuggets | 106-95 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Detroit at Denver 9:00 ET Pistons (+) over Nuggets- Detroit is winless on the road going 0-5 away from home where they are 4-0 while the Nuggets are 0-2 at home so something has got to give here. One of the Pistons home wins came at the hands of the Suns as a 4.5 point favorite winning 103-86. Detroit center Andre Drummond had 20 rebounds and 19 points in the first meetings and the Nuggets center Nurkic just can't handle the 'big' guy. Looking for more of the same here. Take the PISTONS! |
11-12-16 | Nets +4.5 v. Suns | 122-104 | Win | 102 | 10 h 12 m | Show
Brooklyn at Phoenix 9:00 ET Nets (+) over Suns- Phoenix finds themselves in the rare position as a favorite after they defeated the Piston 107-100 on Wednesday while Brooklyn started their five-game road trip with a loss in New York to the Knicks 110-96. Brooklyn has had difficulties scoring baskets but that should be relieved somewhere here as the Suns are ranked 29th in points allowed an average of 113 per contests. Despite their loss to the Knicks the Nets are 6-2 ATS and they are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings with the Suns including two outright wins last season. Take BROOKLYN! |
11-12-16 | Clippers v. Wolves +4 | Top | 119-105 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 22 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at Minnesota 8:00 ET Timberwolves (+) over Clippers- The L.A. Clippers are off to the best start in franchise history having won eight of their first nine to open the season and are coming off a hard fought 110-108 victory at Oklahoma City last night. They also have had their way against the Timberwolves winning 15 of the last 16 meetings straight-up and going 12-2 ATS in their last 14 in Minnesota. The Wolves did just record their first road win of the start as they start a four-game home stand. Under new coach Tom Thibodeau to guild their young talent with Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns and Zack LaVine the T'wolves are growing fast. This time around the home team gets the money. Take MINNESOTA! |
11-12-16 | USC +8 v. Washington | Top | 26-13 | Win | 100 | 24 h 25 m | Show |
Southern California at Washington 7:30 ET Trojans (+) over Huskies- Everyone is so enamored with the Huskies as Washington has moved into the big picture at No. 4 and will be playing their most formidable foe to date in the young Trojans. Washington has had the better off most of their opponents but their schedule has been questioned and for good reason. There in no doubt the Huskies have talent and 3rd year head coach Chris Peterson who has so much success at Boise State. USC started against Alabama lost badly and now after five straight wins that loss with the Tide's dominate season it doesn't look as bad. This game is huge for Washington but the Trojans who lead the series 51-29-4 can play here. Take SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! |
11-12-16 | LSU -7 v. Arkansas | Top | 38-10 | Win | 101 | 24 h 32 m | Show |
LSU at Arkansas 7:00 ET Tigers (-) over Razorbacks- What a disappointment the Tigers were last week failing to score against Alabama in their 10-0 defeat while Arkansas was routing ranked Florida. LSU averaged 41.7 points their last three games under interim coach Ed Orgeron in wins over Missouri, Southern Miss and Mississippi but were shut down by the fierce Alabama defense. LSU is 7-2 ATS after a shutout loss and the Razorbacks are 1-6 ATS after Florida. Now, here we have Arkansas with a better record at home getting a generous points and I believe the odd-maker knows what he is doing. The Razorbacks can be beaten badly as the Auburn final 56-3 will indicate. Take LSU! |
11-12-16 | Stanford v. Oregon +3 | Top | 52-27 | Loss | -114 | 20 h 17 m | Show |
Stanford at Oregon 4:00 ET Ducks (+) over Cardinal- Oh, 'how the mighty have fallen.' Both Stanford and Oregon have had disappointing season's as Oregon is guaranteed their first losing Pac-12 season since 2006 and Stanford is 4-3 in conference play but is bowl eligible with six wins. Cardinal Christian McCaffery's Heisman run came to a halt early as injuries slowed the all-purpose back who still ranks 4th nationally with 190 yards per game. An oddity surrounding this contest is that both clubs are an identical 60-17 in their last 77 games. Stanford has dropped 11 of their last 14 against Oregon and six of seven in Eugene. Take the DUCKS! |
11-12-16 | Vanderbilt v. Missouri -3.5 | 17-26 | Win | 100 | 20 h 37 m | Show
Vanderbilt at Missouri 3:30 ET Tigers (-) over Commodores- I have seen Missouri and they are as bad as their (2-7, 0-5) record indicates and many doubt they will win a SEC game this season. First year coach Barry Odom. If that is the case why are they favored against a much improved Vandy squad that is off a physical contest against Auburn. The Commodores offense doesn't do much as the Tigers have a 487 yards per game to 312 offensive per game advantage. It's time for Missouri to post a conference win here! Take MISSOURI! |
11-12-16 | Wyoming v. UNLV +7.5 | 66-69 | Win | 100 | 19 h 17 m | Show
Wyoming at Las Vegas NV 3:30 ET Rebels (+) over Cowboys- The Mountain West doesn't have much so it hasn't been that difficult for Wyoming to rise to the top of the Mountain Division ahead of Boise State who they upset two weeks ago 30-28. The Cowboys enter Las Vegas on a five game winning streak while the Rebels have dropped their last two and looked horrible in both losses to Colorado State and San Jose State two weeks ago. With an extra week to prepare and I'm sure the Vegas distraction will be something the Cowboys with enjoy or be thinking about. Take UNLV! |
11-12-16 | Penn State v. Indiana +7.5 | 45-31 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 24 m | Show
Penn State at Indiana 12:00 ET Hoosiers (+) over Nittany Lions- Penn State is making a move nationally and it all started with their shocking upset win over Ohio State scoring 100 points in their two games since. Indiana on the other hand has headed in the opposite direction against the points failing to 'cover' in three of their last four. The Lions who have won and covered their last five lead the series winning 18 of the 19 meetings. Behind Richard Lagow who is second in the Big-10 in passing yards the Hoosiers can surprise here. Take INDIANA! |

11-12-16 | South Carolina v. Florida -10.5 | 7-20 | Win | 100 | 17 h 22 m | Show
South Carolina at Florida 12:00 ET Gators (-) over Gamecocks- The storyline here for the most part will be the return of South Carolina coach Will Muschamp for led Florida from 2011-14 as his club has won their lsat three. The Gators are off a beating at Arkansas 31-10 but a still in the driver's seat in the SEC East needing a win here and a Tennessee loss to Kentucky. The Gamecocks finally showed some offense with 400 yards of offense against lowly Missouri but will be facing one of the tougher SEC defenses. Florida leads the series 25-8-3 including a win last year. Take the GATORS! |
11-12-16 | Tulsa +2 v. Navy | 40-42 | Push | 0 | 17 h 22 m | Show
Tulsa at Navy 12:00 ET Golden Hurricane (+) over Midshipman- Tulsa opened this contest a same favorite but the 'public' has moved Navy to the favorite as they both are fighting for the AAC West Division as they are both 4-1 in conference play. The Midshipman are in a bad spot as they are off an emotional a 28-27 outright win over Notre Dame as a touchdown or better underdog. Last season the one sided Tulsa offense managed only 78 yards rushing while the Navy ran for 469 on the ground. But, this season the Hurricane are better balanced as D'Angelo Brewer has 983 yards rushing and quarterback Dane Evanshas 10, 575 career passing yards. I difference in styles but the advanatge goes to Tulsa. Take the GOLDEN HURRICANE! |
11-11-16 | Kings +7 v. Blazers | 120-122 | Win | 100 | 13 h 39 m | Show
Sacramento at Portland 10:00 ET Kings (+) over Trailblazers- Most of the time when a club loses by 30 points or more (111-80) like Portland did against the Clippers on Wednesday I look to play on them their next time out. But, their opponent the Sacramento Kings were blown out by 20-points in the second half of their last game in a home loss to the Lakers. Portland swept the series last season winning all for meetings and have won the past six encounters. DeMarcus Cousins has scored 20 or more points in eight games and feels the Kings went 'soft' in their second half collapse. Take SACRAMENTO! |
11-10-16 | Utah v. Arizona State +6 | 49-26 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 2 m | Show
Utah at Arizona State 9:30 ET Sun Devils (+) over Utes- Two clubs moving in opposite direction clash in Tempe as Utah fights for a possible spot in the Pac-12 championship game while Arizona has dropped three straight and four of their last five. The Utes have done it for the most part on defense as they are tied nationally with 23 takeaways. The Sun Devils have dominated this series holding a 20-7 advantage but Utah did win last years encounter 34-18 to break an 11-game losing streak to the Sun Devils. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
11-10-16 | Browns v. Ravens -7.5 | 7-28 | Win | 100 | 10 h 57 m | Show
Cleveland at Baltimore 8:25 ET Ravens (-) over Browns- The Cleveland Browns have reached the season's half way point and still are without a victory and they are looking worst as the year moves on. In week two the Browns held a 20-2 first quarter lead over the Ravens only to succumb 25-20. Baltimore ended a four-game losing streak against an under-manned Steelers squad but it helped add the confidence that the Ravens need to get back in the playoff hunt. It was Baltimore's defense (as usual) that made the difference against Pittsburgh and the Browns just don't have the fire-power to compete here. Take the RAVENS! |
11-10-16 | Bulls v. Heat -2 | 98-95 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 24 m | Show
Chicago at Miami 8:00 ET Heat over Bulls- Tonight marks the return to Miami of three-time NBA Heat Champion Dwyane Wade who makes his first visit since signing with the Bulls in the odd season. Both clubs enter this fray having lost four of their last five. The Heat won all four meetings last season including two win at home by 22 and eight points. Even though Miami's offense has struggled at time they have a center piece that is a force difficult to deal with in Hassan Whiteside who leads the Heat in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots. TAKE MIAMI! |
11-09-16 | Toledo v. Northern Illinois +7.5 | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 11 h 39 m | Show
Toledo at Northern Illinois 8:00 ET Huskies (+) over Rockets- The Huskies started the season 0-4 before the return of a number of key personnel and have gone 3-2 against conference opponents. Toledo has a high powered offense that averages 553 yards per game ranking 4 on offense but they have allowed over 26 points per road contest. Northern Illinois has won the last six meetings and still remain bowl eligible with a win here. Expect a great effort until the final gun from the home team. Take NORTHERN ILLINOIS! |
11-09-16 | Nets v. Knicks -8 | Top | 96-110 | Win | 100 | 10 h 39 m | Show |
Brooklyn at New York 7:00 ET Knicks (-) over Nets- So the 2-4 New York Knicks are a huge favorite against a team (Brooklyn) that has a better record and no team discord. New York has been blown out three of their four home games at Madison Square Garden as the Jeff Hornacek's version off the 'Triangle' has not been effective. The series has been played to a virtual tie as the Knicks lead the series 92-91. With the addition of Derrick Rose, Jokin Noah to go along with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis the Knicks have more fire-power. Take NEW YORK! |
11-08-16 | Mavs +5 v. Lakers | 109-97 | Win | 100 | 13 h 34 m | Show
Dallas at L.A. Lakers 10:30 ET Mavericks (+) over Lakers- The Los Angeles Lakers have won three straight and are above .500 for the first time since December 2013 while Dallas managed their first win of the season on Sunday over Milwaukee and now stand 1-5 on the campaign. The Mavericks who has dominated the Lakers in recent season have won 10 straight in the series and held the Lakers to just 88.3 points while sweeping three games last year. Defense was the key to the Mav's only win as they held the Bucks to 75 points in their overtime win. Take DALLAS! |
11-07-16 | Bills +6.5 v. Seahawks | 25-31 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show
Buffalo at Seattle 8:30 ET Bills (+) over Seahawks- Both these clubs are coming off defeats with the Bills having lost their last two to division rivals New England and Buffalo while the Seahawks dropped their last outing to the Saints in New Orleans but they are 3-0 at home. Buffalo who has had injury problems on offense signed versatile wide receiver Percey Harvin who spent parts of two seasons with Seattle. The Seahawks defense my be one of the best but their offense is one of the worst but defensive end Michael Bennett is out along with Kam Chancellor. Take BUFFALO! |
11-07-16 | Heat +5.5 v. Thunder | 85-97 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 7 m | Show
Miami at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Heat (+) over Thunder- Both the Heat and Thunder have something missing this year and it is a pair of 'superstars' that are missing. Oklahoma City of course is without Kevin Durant and Miami is without Dewayne Wade. Oddly enough both clubs have players remaining that put up multiple triple-double performances. The Thunder of course have Russell Westbrook a triple-double machine while the Heat have Hassan Whiteside whose triple-doubles include blocked shots. Miami has dropped three of their last four while OKC just rebounded from their first loss at Golden State with a 112-92 win over Minnesota. This time it's Miami that bounces back. Take the HEAT! |
11-06-16 | Panthers v. Rams +3 | 13-10 | Push | 0 | 22 h 59 m | Show
Carolina at L.A. Rams 4:05 ET Rams (+) over Panthers- Now, that the Panthers broke their four game losing streak with a win over Arizona most expect them to get back into the hunt. I don't necessarily believe that is true. Los Angeles a week to prepare after three straight losses and playing at home will help as Carolina is 0-3 on the road this season. Cam Newton is finding out 'payback is a bitch' as his antics of last season are coming back to haunt him as his brethren look to show him some humility. Look for the Rams to surprise the Panthers here. Take LOS ANGELES! |
11-06-16 | Saints v. 49ers +5 | Top | 41-23 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 51 m | Show |
New Orleans at San Francisco 4:05 ET 49ers (+) over Saints- Since dropping their first three games New Orleans has comeback to win three of four going 4-0 ATS and are off a gritty home win over Seattle. The 49ers who won their opener over the Rame 20-0 haven't been competitive since losing six in a row. San Francisco will have the return of Carlo Hyde and he will be needed to control the ball and keep it out of the hands of the league's top-ranking passing offense led by Drew Brees. San Francisco has won three of the last four meetings and will have everybody's favorite Colin Kaepernick under center. Somehow, the Niners get ti done here. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
11-06-16 | Eagles v. Giants -2.5 | 23-28 | Win | 100 | 19 h 1 m | Show
Philadelphia at New York Giants 1:00 ET Giants (-) over Eagles- What an emotional letdown for the Eagles last Sunday as they blew a 10-point fourth quarter lead at Dallas and then lost by a touchdown in overtime. (that qualities as a bad beat for the bettors that took 5). The Giants have posted three straight wins and have had an extra week to prepare as their last games was against the Rams in London two weeks ago. Philadelphia has lost their early season 'mojo' as week as wide receiver Josh Huff who was arrested on weapons charges and they couldn't blame Chip Kelly. New York is starting to put a running game together and get the win here. Take the GIANTS! |
11-06-16 | Lions v. Vikings -6.5 | 22-16 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 33 m | Show
Detroit at Minnesota 1:00 ET Vikings (-) over Lions- Minnesota has lost two straight after a 5-0 start and 'we' were their both times with huge winners including Game of the Year Chicago 20-10 on Monday. Injuries have certainly been a part of the Vikings losses as their defense must come to their rescue here. They have scored just 10 points in each of their two defeats as San Bradford no longer looks like the answer, but he has been outstanding at home averaging 273 yards passing with five TD passes and no interceptions. Take MINNESOTA! |
11-05-16 | Utah State +5 v. Wyoming | 28-52 | Loss | -115 | 27 h 3 m | Show
Utah State at Wyoming 10:15 ET Aggies (+) over Cowboys- Wyoming who has won their last four are coming off one of the biggest upsets in recent memory as they upended Boise State on a late safety 30-28 as a 15-point home dog. There is no doubt Utah State is not the same caliber of teams in recent past and although they are 0-3 on the road they catch the Cowboys sleeping in the saddle. After that huge win they may have troubles getting ready for the lowly 3-5 Aggies. Take UTAH STATE! |
11-05-16 | Clippers +4.5 v. Spurs | Top | 116-92 | Win | 100 | 10 h 33 m | Show |
L.A. Clippers at San Antonio 8:30 ET Clippers (+) over Spurs- San Antonio is play the second of back-to-back contest with the first one being played in Utah last night. Los Angeles also had a game last night a 99-88 win at Memphis. It is being such a shot hope from Tennessee to Texas the Clippers wont have any travel lag. San Antonio who lost only one home game all of last season is such a meager favorite here it gives thought that the Clippers could win here. Take LOS ANGELES! |
11-05-16 | Nebraska v. Ohio State -17 | Top | 3-62 | Win | 100 | 26 h 17 m | Show |
Nebraska at Ohio State 8:00 ET Buckeyes (-) over Cornhuskers- Tell me this doesn't look out of whack. A No. 6 ranked 6-1 team is this huge a favorite over the No. 10 ranked 6-1 team Nebraska and it is a conference game to boot. After a quick start Ohio State has hit a lull their past three game having to go overtime to defeat Wisconsin, losing at Penn State and then barely beating Northwestern at home last week. Nebraska also went overtime against Wisconsin but lost last week to the Badgers after overcoming a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter. The difference here with be with the quarterbacks as the Cornhuskers Tommy Armstrong has 11 TD passes and 7 Int's while the Buckeyes J.T. Barrett who has 17 TD passes and only 4 Int's. Add the fact that Ohio State has a major advantage in coaching with Urban Meyer opposed to Nebraska Mike Riley who is in over his head with this one. Take OHIO STATE! |
11-05-16 | Alabama v. LSU +8 | Top | 10-0 | Loss | -125 | 26 h 3 m | Show |
Alabama at L.S.U. 8:00 ET Tigers (+) over Crimson Tide- Without a doubt Alabama has been the most dominating team in college football this season winning by and average of 29-points per game. It isn't the Tide offense that has set everyone on their heels it's their defense which has scored an amazing 12 non-offensive touchdowns (nine on defense and three on punt returns). Les Miles is gone and interim coach Ed Orgeron is 3-0 for LSU who has lost their last five meetings against Alabama who holds a 50-25-2 series advantage. The Tigers have look better and have had an extra week to prepare for this SEC showdown. LSU is 15-4 when Fournette rushes for 100 yards and they are 5-0 when he hits 200. The last time they met he had 31 yards on 19 carries. I expect more for him on Saturday. Take LOUISIANA STATE! |
11-05-16 | Kings +1.5 v. Bucks | 91-117 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 10 m | Show
Sacramento at Milwaukee 8:00 ET Kings (+) over Bucks- Sacramento has already dropped the first three games on their five-game road trip as they are playing their sixth game in nine days this early in the season. Milwaukee has put together a pair of wins as the 'Greek Freak' has averaged 24 points, 8.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists, but he will be up against DeMarcus Cousins. Even without Darren Collison serving an eight-game suspension Sacramento is ready to win here. Take the KINGS! |
