Houston at Minnesota 8:00 ET Timberwolves (+) over Rockets- The 'hottest' team in the NBA is the Houston Rockets who have won nine straight as James Harden posted his second straight triple-double with 40 points. 15 rebounds and 10 assists and 11th of the season. Minnesota has started to jell as a unit after a weak start and are 4-1 ATS in the last fibe meetings against Houston including their last meetings in December in Minnesota where the Wolves +2.5 got the monet in overtime 109-111. Take MINNESOTA! |
01-11-17 | Memphis v. Tulsa +3.5 | 71-81 | Win | 100 | 9 h 11 m | Show
Memphis at Tulsa 8:00 ET Golden Hurricanes (+) over Tigers- Tulsa enters this contest losers in 3-of-4 with their win coming against UConn 61-59 in overtime but they are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. Memphis coach Tubby Smith returns to Tulsa where he started his coaching career. The Tigers has won their last three and they have won the last two against Tulsa. With this 'line' so short the oddsmakers believe the Hurricanes have a chance to put off the upset. Take TULSA! |
01-11-17 | North Carolina v. Wake Forest +8.5 | 93-87 | Win | 100 | 9 h 6 m | Show
North Carolina at Wake Forest 8:00 ET Demon Deacons (+) over Tar Heels- North Carolina is coming off their largest win in school history against in-state rival N.C. State 107-56 to raise their ACC record to 2-1. Wake Forest has dropped three of their last four but have won six of seven home games. The Tar Heels are 7th in the nation in scoring (89.1 points) taking three straight in the series and 11 of the last 14 and are 8-1 ATS in their last nine ACC games. Despite the Deacons going 5-16 ATS in their last 21 home games. But, I expect a North Carolina let-down after their crushing of the rival Wolfpack. Take WAKE FOREST! |
01-10-17 | Pistons +2 v. Kings | 94-100 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 2 m | Show
Detroit at Sacramento 10:30 ET Pistons (+) over Kings- The Kings have dropped three straight as DeMarcus Cousins is in a shooting slump and Sacramneto coach Dave Joerger says that he is 'exhausted.' Detroit who lost eight of 10 before their current two-game win streak have won six of their last eight trips to Sacramento going 7-1 ATS. The Kings open a seven-game home stand but will struggle against the Pistons defesne. Take DETROIT! |
01-10-17 | Kansas State v. Texas Tech -5.5 | 65-66 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 47 m | Show
Kansas State at Texas Tech 9:15 ET Red Raiders (+) over Wildcats- Kansas State has won eight of their last nine with the only loss coming at the hands of rival Kansas in a controversial bucket as time ran out. The Wildcats bounced back from that defeat by pounding Oklahoma 75-64 on Saturday while their only loss was by one-point 69-68 to Maryland. Texas Tech has never done week in this series losing 29 of 35 but have won the last two at Lubbock. This is a different Red Raiders squad as they are 6th in the country in field-goal percentage, 10th in rebounding margin and 21st in scoring defense. Take TEXAS TECH! |
01-10-17 | Cavs v. Jazz +3 | Top | 92-100 | Win | 100 | 10 h 35 m | Show |
Cleveland at Utah 9:00 ET Jazz (+) over Cavaliers- As coach Tyronn Lue has said about his Cavaliers that they mess around on the court aftre they blew a 20-point lead against Phoenix managing to come back and win 120-116. Utah has dropped three of their last four as they start a three-game homestand as part of a stetch where they play nine of their next 12 at home. Aside from being 0-4 ATS in their last four Cleveland is 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven meetings in Utah. Take the JAZZ! |
01-10-17 | Indiana v. Maryland | 72-75 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 36 m | Show
Indiana at Maryland Hoosiers (+) over Terripans- after a three-game slide the Hoosiers put it together against Illinois Saturday winning 96-80 while the Terrapins have won seven of eight and are off a win at Michigan 77-70 Saturday. Indiana found their shooting touch (60% FG) as James Blackman Jr. busted out for 25 points. The Hoosiers won last season's meeting 80-62 as the series is at 2-2 since the Terps joined the Big Ten. Take INDIANA! |
01-10-17 | Celtics +4.5 v. Raptors | 106-114 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Boston at Toronto 7:30 ET Celtics (+) over Raptors- These two clubs seem to be mirror images of each other as Boston has won six of their last seven while Toronto has dropped five of their last seven. Defense has been the problem for the Raptors as they have allowed 110 points or more five time in their last seven contests going 2-5. The Celtics are 4-0-1 ATS in tehir last four raod games and I like their chances here. Take BOSTON! |
01-10-17 | Baylor v. West Virginia -7 | Top | 68-89 | Win | 100 | 9 h 45 m | Show |
Baylor at West Virginia 7:00 ET Mountaineers (-) over Bears- Well, the only thing I can think of is that the Bears will fold in their first Big-12 road contest. At 15-0 and No. 2 in the nation the 'number' on this one is way too high. Consider that Baylor is 11-1 ATS in their last 13 road games and yet the oddsmaker in being so generous here maybe because West Virginia is 21-8 ATS in their last 29 home games. Regardless, this price looks like a 'come-get-me' sucker play. Take the MOUNTAINEERS! |
01-09-17 | Clemson v. Alabama -6 | Top | 35-31 | Loss | -125 | 33 h 57 m | Show |
Clemson vs Alabama 8:00 ET Crimson Tide (-) over Tigers- In a re-match of last season's National Championship game Alabama remains undefeated (14-0) and has won a school record 26 straight wins. Clemson who has only one blemish (13-1) a 43-42 loss to Pittsburgh. This is a tough call as the 'number' is close to what it was last year when the Tide eeked out a 45-40 win as the Tigers scored late for the 'back-door' cover. Clemson who is 8-1 ATS in their last nine neutral site games are also 6-0 ATS in their last six bowl games. Alabama on the other hand had a better ATS record going 10-4 for the money which is pretty damn good when you consider what heavy favorites they were all season long. The Tigers played their best and near perfect game against Ohio State in their 31-0 route of the Buckeyes and will go against an Alabama team that will have a 'new' offensive cooordinator Steve Sarkisian who will replace Lane Kiffin who left under strange circumstances. In last season's matchup the Tigers put up 550 yards on offense including 405 yards passing, I'm sure that won't happen again. Take ALABAMA! |
01-08-17 | Magic +2 v. Lakers | 95-111 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 58 m | Show
Orlando at L.A. Lakers 9:30 ET Magic (+) over Lakers- Los Angeles is off their best performance of the season defeating the Miami Heat 127-100 and have won 2-of-3 while the Magic were just defeated by Houston 100-93. Orlando has dropped four of their last five after going 3-1 at home and have a 109-90 win over the lakers posted at home. Magic coach Frank Vogel has his club hustling for loose ball and are scrappy enough to win here. Take ORLANDO! |
01-08-17 | Pistons +3.5 v. Blazers | Top | 125-124 | Win | 100 | 11 h 30 m | Show |
Detroit at Portland 9:00 ET Pistons (+) over Trailblazers- Detroit took the two meetings between these two last season by an average of 18.5 points. Portland ended their mini slump with the return of Damian Lillard with a 118-109 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. The Pistons are looking for more playing time for Boban Marjanovic who had 15 points and 22 rebounds in 22 minutes in his last appearance. Take the PISTONS! |
01-08-17 | Giants v. Packers -5.5 | Top | 13-38 | Win | 100 | 17 h 5 m | Show |
New York Giants at Green Bay 4:40 ET Giants (+) over Packers- The biggest surprise of the NFL may be that the Giants who were the worst against the run last season are No. 1 in NFC scoring defense this season allowing just 17.75 points per game trailing only New England (14.06). New York has held three of the last four opponents to 10 points or less. The problem for the G-Men is on offense where they are ranked 25th (only playoff team worse is the Texans) and haven't scored 30 points once this season. These two also met in October in Green Bay where the Packers prevailed 23-16 when both quarterbacks suffered poor passing days. The Pack were at 4-6 when Aaron Rogers said they would run-the-table and they did just that winning their last six games while the Giants went 9-2 straight-up to close the season. New York who is 3-4 on the road totaled only 221 yards of offense in their meeting but did pick off two of Rogers' throws. New York has won their last two playoff trips to Lambeau Field and Packers avenge it all today. Take GREEN BAY! |
01-08-17 | Wizards +4.5 v. Bucks | 107-101 | Win | 100 | 4 h 49 m | Show
Washington at Milwaukee 2:05 ET Wizards (+) over Bucks- these two have already played three times since December 10th with the home team winning and 'covering' all three. In this battle between these 'middle-of-the-roaders' Washington has won nine of the past 11 meetings and are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game while the Bucks are 1-6 ATS in their last seven when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game. Take WASHINGTON! |
01-08-17 | Dolphins v. Steelers -12 | 12-30 | Win | 100 | 14 h 33 m | Show
Miami at Pittsburgh 1:05 ET Steelers (-) over Dolphins- The Steelers have reeled off seven straight wins but have a measure of revenge on their minds as they were pounded by the Dolphins in Miami 30-15 back in October. The wind chill factor is supposed to reach single digits and no matter how many times they have made the trip into the cold Miami will still struggle to handle the frozen football. Playing with quarterback Ryan Tannehill the Dolphins will start veteran Matt Moore who will be making his first career post season start. In that Miami win against the Steel Curtain Jay Ajayi ran for 222 yards as Pittsburgh has surrendered the most yards (6,122) in a season in franchise history. The Steelers only allowed 20 sacks this season and Roethlisberger is still too tough to bring down. Take PITTSBURGH! |
01-08-17 | NC State v. North Carolina -13 | 56-107 | Win | 100 | 3 h 53 m | Show
N.C. State at North Carolina 1:00 ET Tar Heels (-) over Wolfpack- The Wolfpack responded as our 'Highest-Rated' winner over Virginia Tech 104-78 on Wednesday and now they face their state rivals on their turf. North Carolina escaped a tough Clemson club in overtime on the road and now return home where they are 7-0. The Tar Heels have taken 19 of the last 21 meetings including both games last season by 12 points. It was too easy for the Pack earlier in the week while the Heels were tested and survived. Lay it...take NORTH CAROLINA! |
01-07-17 | Hawks v. Mavs +2.5 | 97-82 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Atlanta at Dallas 8:30 ET Mavericks (+) over Hawks- As the trade rumors surround the Hawks their play seems to get better as they pulled themselves over .500 with their current five-game winning streak. Atlanta has had their way against Dallas winning the last five in the series. First it was Paul Millsap, then Thabo Sefolosha and now Kyle Korver all supposed to be headed some place else. The Mavericks are playing much better now and are 4-0 ATS in their last four games after a loss. Take DALLAS! |
01-07-17 | Lions v. Seahawks -8 | Top | 6-26 | Win | 100 | 24 h 13 m | Show |
Detroit at Seattle 8:15 ET Seahawks (-) over Lions- The Lions come straggering into the payoffs dropping their last three and haven't won a playoff game since the 1991, losing in their last seven appearances and 11 of 12. This is Seattle's fifth straight playoff appearance and they have won nine straight post-season games at home. Right now the Seahawks famed defense is hurting as all-pro safety Earl Thomas is out along with wide receiver Tyler Lockett and running back C.J. Prosise but have the return of Michael Bennett at defensive end and safety Kam Chancellor. The key for the Seahawks is their running game and when Thomas Rawls is healthy they can set up Russell Wilson's passing game. Detroit ranked 30th in rushing with offensive line woes and a quarterback in Matthew Stafford that hasn't preformed well since injuring his finger. Take SEATTLE! |
01-07-17 | Raptors v. Bulls +2 | Top | 118-123 | Win | 100 | 10 h 57 m | Show |
Toronto at Chicago 8:00 ET Bulls (+) over Raptors- After taking care of the Cavaliers 118-111 on Wednesday they will now face the East's best in Toronto. The Raptors are 22-12 ATS this season by far the best ATS record in the NBA but are 0-4 ATS in their last four games following an ATS win. Beleive it or not Chicago won all four meetings last year and are 9-0 ATS in the last nine meetings. Take best goes on...Take CHICAGO! |
01-07-17 | Raiders +4 v. Texans | 14-27 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 36 m | Show
Oakland at Houston 4:35 ET Raiders (+) over Texans- This is a rematch of a game played in late November in Mexico when the Raiders scored two four quarter touchdowns to win and cover 27-20. Both teams have issues at quarterback where Derek Carr is out for the Raiders while the Texans just have to deal with inconsistent play. Brock Osweiler will start by default as replacement Tom Savage suffered a concession last time out. This will put more emphasis on the running game where Houston most likely will have the return of Lamar Miller who rushed for 1,069 yards their season while Oakland was held to 30 yards rushing in the first matchup. The Raiders are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss but, that was will Carr and the road team is 4-1 ATS in their last four meetings. Houston has a chance to be the first team to play in the Super Bowl when playing in the host city but that won't happen. Oakland will give rookie QB Connor Cook who never even dressed for an NFL before the final week gets his first NFL start and this is the first time a player has made his first start in a playoff game. Watch for the Raiders to rally together and get the win. Take OAKLAND! |
01-07-17 | Creighton v. Providence +4 | 78-64 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 33 m | Show
Creighton at Providence 2:00 ET Friars (+) over Blue Jays- Providence has had a rocky start when playing on the road (0-4) but have enjoys playing at the Duncan Donuts Center where they are 10-0. Three of those four road losses can against ranked teams and the Friars have been tested. Providence has won the last five meetings and six of the last seven. The Blue Jays are 20-9-1 ATS in their last 30 Big East games while Providence is 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games. Take PROVIDENCE! |
01-07-17 | Virginia Tech +7 v. Florida State | 78-93 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 30 m | Show
Virginia Tech at Florida State 2:00 ET Hokies (+) over Seminoles- Florida State is in position to tie the school record for consecutive wins after upsetting No. 11 Virginia on Saturday. The No. 13 ranked Seminoles hosting No. 23 Virginia Tech today. There are a conflict of trends as VaTech is 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games overall and Florida State is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games. The Seminoles have also won 10 straight home games against the Hokies but have a schedule of heavies in front of them. Should be a close one. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
01-07-17 | Butler v. Georgetown +2 | Top | 85-76 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 9 m | Show |
Butler at Georgetown 12:00 ET Hoyas (+) over Bulldogs- Wednesday night we posted Butler as our 'Highest-Rated' NCAA release and they responded and took down the No. 1 team in the nation Villanova 66-58 raising their record to 13-2. Now, they travel to DC and play a Georgetown team that is still vying for their first Big East win going 0-3 to date. Defense which was once the Hoyas strongest attribute is their weakness now allowing conference foes an average of 77.7 points per contest. The Bulldogs have bite at home but are just 1-2 on the road with one of the losses to St. John's. Take GEORGETOWN! |
01-06-17 | Heat +2.5 v. Lakers | 100-127 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 3 m | Show
Miami at L.A. Lakers 10:30 ET Heat (+) over Lakers- The Heat just ended a six-game losing streak with a win at Sacramento while the Lakers have lost 16 of their last 19 including a home loss to Portland last night. Miami has already posted a win over Los Angeles 115-107 at home in late December in a game that Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragis dominated the Lakers. The Heat are looking to post back-to-back wins for the first time since Dec. 14. Tonight they get it. Take MIAMI! |
01-06-17 | Rockets v. Magic +6 | 100-93 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 12 m | Show
Houston at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Rockets- Houston has won six straight highlighted by their 118-116 win over Oklahoma City last night. The Rockets have scored 100 points of more in 23 straight games and they have won 17 of their last 19 and also six of the last eight meetings with Orlando. The Magic are in a great position for an upset sitting at home while the Rockets off a game last night are on the road for the first time in 10 days. The problem is that Houston is 14-5 ATS in their alst 19 road games, but this is Magic time. Take ORLANDO! |

Minnesota at Washington 7:00 ET Timberwolves (+) over Wizards- Two of the more inconsistant team face-off in Washington where the Wizards host Minnesota. Both teams have lost their last two games but the Wizards have won their last eight at home. The Timberwolves are off a loss to Philadelphia where they trafiled by 26 points before making a comeback that fell two-points short. Washington's biggest issue that that they play very little defense as they allowed the lowly Mavericks to drain 17 3-pointers on Tuesday. Although Minnesota has struggled at Washington (2-9 ATS) they have more young and energy. Take the TIMBERWOLVES! |
01-05-17 | Stanford +7.5 v. USC | 56-72 | Loss | -108 | 11 h 29 m | Show
Stanford at USC 11:00 ET Cardinal (+) over Trojans- Southern California had its season-opening 14-game win streak stop in their Pac-12 opener at Oregon and will look to bounce back at home against an opponent that they have struggled with of late. Stanford who is 0-2 in conference play have won five in-a-row in the series and is off a 91-52 home loss to Arizona. Both these clubs are looking to rebound off losses but conference play is tough. Take STANFORD! |

San Antonio at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (+) over Spurs- After an overtime loss at Atlanta on Sunday the Sours bounced back by pounding their nearest competitor Toronto 110-82 on Tuesday. The Nuggets on the other hand have dropped their last three allowing 123.7 points during the slide. Denver has lost 10 straight in the series until a 102-98 win last April when La Marcus Aldridge, Kawhi Leonard, Tony Parker and Danny Green were 'rested.' The Nuggets have dropped their last four home games and after just 7-20 ATS at home against the Spurs. Tonight, San Antonio is caught. Take the NUGGETS! |

Iowa won its first conference game over Michigan in overtime after opening with a 89-67 loss to Purdue. The Hawkeyes have had their way with the 'Huskers' winning five-straight in the series and nine of 11. With the return of previously injured Tyler Cook the Hawkeyes have added depth. Take IOWA! |

Atlanta at New Orleans 8:00 ET Pelicans (+) over Hawks- The Hawks enter New Orleans flying high on a four-game win streak and are 5-1 ATS on their last six road games but only 2-6 ATS in their last eight meetings with the Pelicans. Since returning from his back injury center Dwight Howard has recorded four double-doubles in five games and will most likely sleepwalk through this one. Have no problem playing against Hawks who won for us last night in Orlando as Atlanta is 0-7 against teams with a winning percentage below .400. Take NEW ORLEANS! |

Utah's No.1 NBA defense surrendered 115 points in their lass at Boston on Tuesday while Toronto was ripped in San Antonio 110-82 Tuesday as well. The Raptors return home after a six game road trip where they lost 3-of-4 to close their trip and are 1-4 ATS in their last five. |||||||
01-05-17 | Connecticut +8 v. Memphis | 61-70 | Loss | -101 | 8 h 47 m | Show
Connecticut at Memphis 7:00 ET Huskies (+) over Tigers- Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Former power-house Connecticut has fallen in dramatic fashion under Kevin Ollie since the retirement of Calhoun after having won the title with Calhoun's players in his first season. Since that, it's been downhill ever since. The Huskies enter Memphis on the three game losing streak but have allowed more then 64 points only once in their last seven games and they have defeated the Tigers three straight times. Somehow it's... CONNECTICUT! |

Oklahoma City at Charlotte 7:00 ET Hornets (-) over Hornets- Here come the Hornets losers of their last two games favored over the most exciting team in the NBA with Russell Westbrook and the Thunder. Aside from Oklahoma City the Hornets are one of the quickest team on the floor with Kemba Walker leading the way with defense that he must play against Russell. OKC has won the last 10 in their series but these are different clubs this season and Charlotte can play with the thunder here. Take CHARLOTTE! |
01-04-17 | Hawks -2.5 v. Magic | 111-92 | Win | 100 | 7 h 33 m | Show
Atlanta at Orlando 7:00 ET Hawks (-) over Magic- The Hawks have finally put tings together and their three game winning streak has put them over .500. Orlando had to look them selves in the mirror after Sunday's loss at Indiana as coach Frank Vogel pointed out that they were not playing with the energy necessary to win in the NBA. The Magic have won the last three in the series including a win at Atlanta three weeks ago 131-120. I expect the tide to turn here. Take the HAWKS! |
01-04-17 | Miami (Fla) v. Syracuse +1 | 55-70 | Win | 100 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Miami-Fl at Syracuse 7:00 ET Orange over Hurricanes- These two opponents are off truly juxtaposed performances as Miami just dominated NC State at home winning 81-63 while Syracuse was defeated at Boston College to a team that was 0-18 in conference play last season. This is the worst start for the Orange in 20 years and Jim Boeheim is beginning to feel pressure from the local media. Miami coach Jim Larranaga has done a great job turning the Hurricanes program around but they are in a tough spot here. Take SYRACUSE! |
01-04-17 | Villanova v. Butler +1.5 | 58-66 | Win | 100 | 8 h 2 m | Show
Villanova at Butler 6:30 ET Bulldogs (+) over Wildcats- Defending National Champion Villanova have won 20 straight (14-0) as they enhance their No. 1 ranking every time out. Butler is ranked No. 19 and are off a big win against Providence, you may ask why is this a big win? Well, they were off a loss to St. John's, really now, a loss to St. John's and now they are a miniscule underdog against the nation's No. 1 team. Butler is 8-0 at home and will respond to the Wildcats visit to the Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Look for the upset...take the BULLDOGS! |

Memphis at L.A.Lakers 10:30 Lakers (+) over Grizzlies- Memphis under new coach David Fizdale are becoming one of the more prolific 3-point shooting teams in the NBA as they had 17 3-pointers in Saturday's 112-98 win at Sacramento on Saturday night. The are now attempting 25.5 3-pointers a game up by seven shots from last season. The Lakers have a three-point shooter of their own as Nick Young has made 12-of-15 in their last two games and has 36 made in his last eight games. L.A. Has dropped their last three and come up big tonight. Take the LAKERS! |
01-03-17 | West Virginia v. Texas Tech +5 | Top | 76-77 | Win | 100 | 11 h 37 m | Show |
West Virginia at Texas Tech 9:15 ET Red Raiders (+) over Mountaineers- West Virginia enters Lubbock with a eight game winning streak and a stifling defense that leads the nation in steals and turnovers. The Mountaineers force 25.7 turnovers per game and 10.3 steals leading to over 32 points a game. Texas Texas on the other hand turns the ball over just 11 times a game and has a 11.6 rebound advantage per game. Tech blew a nine-point lead in their Big-12 opener to Iowa State and will (excuse the pun) rebound tonight. Take RED RAIDERS! |

Alabama at Mississippi State 8:30 ET Crimson Tide (+) over Bulldogs- Alabama has played a weak schedule so far that gave them wins but against match-ups against major schools they are already 0-3 losing to Texas, Oregon and Clemson. Mississippi State has won their last three but have lost six of seven against the Tide including their last three at home. Avery Johnson leads Alabama with a deep bench and hustle. Take ALABAMA! |
01-03-17 | Wizards v. Mavs +1.5 | Top | 105-113 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show |
Washington at Dallas 8:30 ET Mavericks (+) over Wizards- The Wizards who were a playoff team last year has been one dimensional when it comes to winning games as they are an impressive 13-6 at home and just 3-11 on the road. Dallas started with numerous injuries including to their big man Dirk Nowitzki and center Andrew Bogut who have now returned. The Mavericks won just six of their first 26 but have split eight games since their return. The Wizards started poorly as well and have struggled to get to .500 failing three times to get over the hump. Same story here. Take DALLAS! |

01-03-17 | Wolves v. 76ers +5 | 91-93 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show
Minnesota at Philadelphia 7:00 ET 76ers (+) over Timberwolves- The two of the youngest clubs in the NBA face-off in Philadelphia as the 76ers host Minnesota and look for revenge for a 110-86 beat down in Minnesota back in mid-November and this time have a rested Joel Embiid as the 76ers haven't since since the New Year. I thing the odd-makers are over-rating Minnesota at this time as they are just 6-12 at home and 5-11 on the road. Sixers get even tonight. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
01-03-17 | North Carolina v. Clemson +4.5 | 89-86 | Win | 100 | 8 h 28 m | Show
North Carolina at Clemson 7:00 ET Tigers (+) over Tar Heels- North Carolina is off one of their worst team performances as they fell to Georgia Tech in their ACC opener while Clemson come from behind to defeat Wake Forest 73-68 scoring the games final 15 points. The Tigers who just don't ever win at North Carolina but this one is in their own backyard where Clemson has pulled occasional upsets. Heels might not be the same powerhouse of the past as they already have three losses including losses to Indiana and Kentucky. This one falls to the final buzzer. Take CLEMSON! |
01-02-17 | Auburn +3 v. Oklahoma | Top | 19-35 | Loss | -115 | 28 h 6 m | Show |
Auburn vs Oklahoma 8:30 ET Tigers (+) over Sooners- Oklahoma enters this contest winners of their last nine after starting the season 1-2 with brutal losses to Houston and Ohio State. The Sooners were undefeated (9-0) in the Big-12 while Auburn struggled through a tough SEC schedules going 5-3. Oklahoma averages almost 45 points per game but they will be shocked at the way the Tigers will come at them defensively. Auburn surrendered just 15.6 points per game and they will come up with an answer to Heisman finalist Baker Mayfield and dominate the play. Take AUBURN! |
01-02-17 | USC v. Penn State +8 | 52-49 | Win | 100 | 23 h 29 m | Show
Southern California vs Penn State 5:00 ET Nittany Lions (+) over Trojans- I love this game and wish that I could be in attendance as these two Big Ten Penn State and Pac-12 USC make a perfect Rose Bowl contest. After shaky starts for both clubs USC starts 1-3 with a 52-6 loss to Alabama and have reeled off nine straight wins going 6-0 ATS the last six. Penn State was at 2-2 with losses to Pittsburgh and Michigan and then won out the last nine going 8-0 ATS last eight. The Lions had just 77 and 51 rushing yards in their last two wins against Michigan State and Wisconsin, but what they do have is a winner at quarterback Trace McSorley who can match USC's San Darnold. It what I expect to be a great game take the points with the Lions. It's PENN STATE! |
01-02-17 | Western Michigan +9.5 v. Wisconsin | Top | 16-24 | Win | 100 | 20 h 43 m | Show |
Western Michigan vs Wisconsin 1:00 ET Broncos (+) over Badgers- Let me start by saying that if I didn't have my Bowl Game of the Year winner in the Auburn/Oklahoma game this would be a Best Bet release, so play it accordingly. This match-up reminds me of the famous Oklahoma and Boise State game where the Sooners like the Badgers were 8-point favorites to a team that few respected, therefore they had more to play for and that wins games. Wisconsin is a bit disappointed after their blowing a huge advantage in the Big Ten Championship game against Penn State. Broncos gallop! Take WESTERN MICHIGAN! |
01-01-17 | Packers v. Lions +3.5 | Top | 31-24 | Loss | -115 | 30 h 32 m | Show |
Green Bay at Detroit 8:30 ET Lions (+) over Packers- Great way to finish the season with the Packers and Lions having to win to get into the playoffs. Green Bay looked dead in the water at 4-6 five weeks ago and then Arron Rogers said that they would win out and here we are five straight wins later. Detroit who at 9-4 looked like a shoe-in but two straight losses have them fighting for their playoff lives. The ions new this how it was going to play out regardless if they won or not against Dallas last Monday. Take DETROIT! |
01-01-17 | Giants v. Redskins -7.5 | 19-10 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 32 m | Show
New York Giants at Washington 4:25 ET Redskins (-) over Giants- This is one of those great opportunities for us as 'players' to take advantage of a message the odds makers are presenting to the public. The Giants are slotted into the fifth seed and a win or loss will not affect their standing as they get back into the playoffs since they won the Super Bowl in 2009. New York of course can knock Washington out of the post season but they will more concerned with keeping players healthy. The Redskins will be 'all-in' and on the warpath for 60 minutes. Take WASHINGTON! |
01-01-17 | Chiefs v. Chargers +4.5 | 37-27 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 29 m | Show
Kansas City at San Diego 4:25 ET Chargers (+) over Chiefs- Kansas City should be motivated here as they still have a chance for the division and a first round bye. But, it's not going to happen here. The Chiefs blew out a dispirited Broncos team last week a team with no quarterback to speak of but will have to face Phillip Rivers this week. After losing to the Cleveland Browns last week I expect San Diego to show some personal and professional pride and put forth a big effort here. Chargers gain satisfaction for their opening week 33-27 loss to the Chiefs. Take the CHARGERS! |
01-01-17 | Bills v. Jets +3.5 | 10-30 | Win | 100 | 22 h 15 m | Show
Buffalo at New York Jets 1:00 ET Jets (+) over Bills- The one should end up as a race to the locker room as these two compete to see who can quit first. We have seen video evidence that the Jets don't even want to bother going out on to the field as they would prefer partying with 'Hoes.' Players have skipped and been late for team meetings but Todd Bowles has not been strong enough to discipline his rule breakers. Buffalo isn't in much better shape with Rex Ryan getting fired and the organization look to dump Tyron Taylor before the season ends. Its a mess. So New York wins. Take J-E-T-S! |
01-01-17 | Cowboys v. Eagles -4.5 | Top | 13-27 | Win | 100 | 22 h 13 m | Show |
Dallas at Philadelphia 1:00 ET Eagles (-) over Cowboys- After that display we witnessed last Monday night the 'Ginger' Jason Garrett said that the Cowboys will play all out even though they have the home field locked-up. Well, the odds-makers don't believe him as the Eagles were installed as a 4-point favorite. What I am being told here behind the scenes is that Dallas will not risk Ezekiel Elliott but we understand that Tony Romo will get some playing time. This outcome will be determined by motivation and effort, I don't expect either from the Cowboys this week. Take PHILADLEPHIA! |
12-31-16 | Ohio State -2.5 v. Clemson | Top | 0-31 | Loss | -102 | 20 h 47 m | Show |
Ohio State vs Clemson 7:00 ET Buckeyes (-) over Tigers- This is the second trip for both schools to the College Football Playoff with the Buckeyes winning it all two years ago and the Tigers losing to Alabama in the championship game last year. J.T. Barrett missed his chance to play in this game two years ago but a leg injury ended his season and this year his stats having been what people had hoped but the Ohio State ground game pounds out 285 yards a game. Clemson's Deshaun Watson hasn't had the sparkle of last season either throwing 19 interceptions as the Tiger run game was just so-so. Better defense and coaching give the Buckeyes the edge. Take OHIO STATE! |
12-31-16 | Washington +14.5 v. Alabama | 7-24 | Loss | -115 | 16 h 40 m | Show
Washington vs Alabama 3:00 ET One of these over the other- Is this the team that can give the Crimson Tide a challenge? Lets look at common opponents as they have both played USC with Alabama crushing the Trojans hopes and then it was USC that dampened Washington out-look which they managed to survive by defeating over-rated Colorado. I'm not concerned that this game is virtually in Bama's back yard as Atlanta will be filled with Crimson. The Huskies have a quarterback Jake Browning who know how to protect the ball throwing for 42 touchdowns and 3,280 yards. He will be tested by a Tide defense that has 14-non-offensive touchdowns. Take WASHINGTON! |
12-31-16 | LSU -3 v. Louisville | Top | 29-9 | Win | 100 | 12 h 43 m | Show |
Louisiana State vs Louisville 11:00 ET Tigers (-) over Cardinals- Well, here we go again playing against the Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson who had over 50 touchdowns combined passing and rushing. The thing that gets me about this contest and no not the early start, (although I think that stinks) is that here is Louisville ranked No. 13 with a 9-3 record an underdog to a 7-4 LSU team that is ranked No. 20. Something seems amiss. It is call defense, and LSU plays it as well as anybody (except the obvious) allowing just 16.4 points per game. The Tigers will not have Leonard Fornette but he's been missing most of the season anyway, but they have found Darrius Guice who ran for 1,249 yards including 285 against Texas A&M. Take LSU! |
12-30-16 | Kansas v. TCU +6.5 | Top | 86-80 | Win | 100 | 8 h 0 m | Show |
Kansas at Texas Christian 9:00 ET Horned Frogs (+) over Jayhawks- Kansas has had their way in the Big-12 the past dozen years winning the conference regular season title a record 12 straight times. This season it looks as though the Jayhawks will have some competition as No. 4 undefeated Baylor and No. 12 West Virginia are stumbling blocks to the title. Then along comes 11-1 TCU who is unbeaten (11-0) at home as depth is their best asset. The TCU bench has outscored its opponents 440-195. Horned Frogs have enough to stay with Kansas here. Take TEXAS CHRISTIAN! |
12-30-16 | Florida State v. Michigan -7 | Top | 33-32 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 9 m | Show |
Michigan vs Florida State 8:00 ET Seminoles (+) over Wolverines- Everybody was expecting Michigan to work their way into the College Football Playoffs but losing two of their final three down the stretch at Iowa (14-13) and at Ohio State (30-27 OT). Florida State who was one of the big favorites to reach the CFP lost a disappointing three games to Louisville (63-20), N.Carolina (37-35) and Clemson (37-34). The Seminoles do enter on a four game win streak and have one of the nation's top NFL prospects in Dalvin Cook who rushed for over 100 yards in eight of nine games. Still, Take the WOLVERINES! |
12-30-16 | Pistons +3 v. Hawks | Top | 98-105 | Loss | -112 | 8 h 50 m | Show |
Detroit at Atlanta 8:00 ET Pistons (+) over Hawks- At 16-16 the Hawks have been a disappointment and even more so when you look at their points spread record as Atlanta has 'covered' just once in their last 11 games when favored by more then one-point. Detroit once tough defense has allowed 109.4 points during their current 1-6 stretch and are off a loss where they allowed 62 points in the first half. The Pistons hammered the Hawks 121-85 on December 2 and will do it again here. Take DETROIT! |
12-30-16 | Bucks v. Wolves +1 | 99-116 | Win | 100 | 8 h 43 m | Show
Milwaukee at Minnesota 8:00 ET Timberwolves over Bucks- Both these squads are young and explosive as the Bucks try are push their way over .500 having won two of their last three and the last four games in this series including both games in Minnesota last season. The Timberwolves are off a 105-103 loss at Denver and return home looking for some help from their bench who totaled bust eight points last time out. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-30-16 | Clippers +10.5 v. Rockets | 116-140 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 40 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at Houston 8:00 ET Clippers (+) over Rockets- The Clippers started the season winning 14 of their first 16 but have been beset by injuries and have now just 8-10 in their last 18 games. Houston did just the opposite as they started slow but have gone 13-2 in December and are 11-3 at home and are starting a four-game homestand tonight. These two clubs split their season series but the Clippers are the rested team here. Chris Paul has returned for the Clippers and DeAndre Jordan has shown not ill effects from his auto accident. Take LOS ANGELES! |
12-30-16 | Baylor v. Oklahoma +5 | Top | 76-50 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 4 m | Show |
Baylor at Oklahoma 7:00 ET Sooners (+) over Bears- Undefeated and No. 4 ranked Baylor invades Norman to play Oklahoma who has given the Bears fits at Lloyd Noble Center. Oklahoma has given Baylor fits at home where the have lost four straight and won only twice since 1977. The Sooners come into their conference opener off three-straight losses while Baylor is 12-0 but this is their first true road game. Take OKLAHOMA! |
12-30-16 | Texas Tech +4.5 v. Iowa State | 56-63 | Loss | -105 | 5 h 5 m | Show
Texas Tech at Iowa State 6:00 ET Red Raiders (+) over Cyclones- This contest will have a new look as the Red Raiders whose only loss was at Auburn while Iowa State who leads the Big-12 in scoring is working for their sixth straight NCAA Tourney bid. Texas Tech can give the Cyclones a run here as they have shot 50 percent or better in five consecutive games and have five players averaging in double figures. In a surprise take TEXAS TECH! |
12-30-16 | South Alabama +14 v. Air Force | 21-45 | Loss | -102 | 19 h 32 m | Show
South Alabama vs Air Force 5:30 ET Jaguars (+) over Falcons- There were great expectations for South Alabama after opening their season with a win over Mississippi State but they never won another road game again. Air Force comes flying into Tucson winning their last five including a win 27-20 over No. 19 Boise State to close out the season. The Jaguars did have a win over Mountain West Champion San Diego State 42-24 so they can play at this level. Take SOUTH ALABAMA! |
12-30-16 | Nebraska +7 v. Tennessee | 24-38 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 30 m | Show
Nebraska at Tennessee 3:30 ET Cornhuskers (+) over Volunteers- Both these teams come to Nashville limping into the Music City Bowl. This could have been a match-up of senior quarterbacks with Joshua Dobbs of the Tennessee and Nebraska's Tommy Armstrong but the Huskers QB is out along with leading receiver Jordan Westerkamp. They both will be replaced by seniors that are looking to make a mark in their final collegiate game. Nebraska has set it's mark on an improved defense that now ranks 21st and will cause the Volunteers problems. Take the CORNHUSKERS! |
12-30-16 | North Carolina +3 v. Stanford | 23-25 | Win | 100 | 15 h 4 m | Show
North Carolina vs Stanford 2:00 ET Tar Heels (+) over Cardinal- Much of the luster has been removed from this Sun Bowl when Christian McCaffrey decided to play 'chicken' and left his mates in the lurch. Stanford took some early hits but did manage to rebound and win six of their final seven including their last five, losing only to Colorado 10-5 after having defeated USC. North Carolina closed their regular season with a home loss to rival N.C. State and is looking to get that bitter taste out of their mouths. Take the TAR HEELS! |
12-30-16 | TCU -3 v. Georgia | Top | 23-31 | Loss | -120 | 13 h 6 m | Show |
Texas Christian vs Georgia 12:00 ET Horned Frogs (-) over Bulldogs- Both these clubs find themselves in the Liberty Bowl before New Year's Day after disappointing seasons. TCU who was in the Top-10 in each of the past three years could manage just six wins while Georgia after firing Mark Richt won 10 in 2015 and just seven this campaign. The Bulldogs who have had to deal with an exceptional number of injuries at running back will have Nick Chubb and Sony Michel back next season but not so much now. TCU quarterback Sonny Hill came over from Texas A&M leads and offense that scores 31.7 points per game. With the 'number' moving the way it is there is only one side for me. Take TCU! |
12-29-16 | Oklahoma State v. Colorado -3 | 38-8 | Loss | -102 | 20 h 23 m | Show
Oklahoma State at Colorado 9:00 ET Buffaloes (-) over Cowboys- This is Oklahoma State's 11th straight bowl trip behind Mike Gundy a former Cowboys quarterback. He received good new that quarterback Mason Rudolph and Justin Hill will be returning for a team that ranked 17th nationally in points scored. Colorado returns to bowl action for the first time since 2004. The Buffaloes have won every game that senior quarterback Sefo Liufau has started and completed. They rank 20th nationally in total defense, scorings (20.5 pts),passing defense and have 26 takeaways. Buffs can beat you too many ways. Take COLORADO! |
12-29-16 | Celtics +6.5 v. Cavs | 118-124 | Win | 100 | 10 h 36 m | Show
Boston at Cleveland 7:30 ET Celtics (+) over Cavaliers- It seems a bit perplexing to me that coaches are willing to give players game days off when they can just as easily give them a day off of practicing instead. LeBron James was given Monday off and the Cavaliers on Monday at Detroit lost for the third time without him in the line-up this season but he will play tonight. Boston has had some returning help as they have won six of their last seven and take every game seriously. Take the CELTICS! |
12-29-16 | Arkansas v. Virginia Tech -6.5 | Top | 24-35 | Win | 100 | 17 h 52 m | Show |
Arkansas vs Virginia Tech 5:30 ET Hokies (-) over Razorbacks- Do they have the right team favored? That is the question that is repeating in my mind over and over as I have had two people both ask that question to me. This is due to the fact that Arkansas for some reason I am not aware of has made a positive impression on people. Maybe it's the SEC thing over the ACC I'm not sure but the Gobblers are supposed to be favored with a better record and overall defense. The Razorbacks are surrendering over 30 points per game but are also scoring the exact same amount. Gut feeling give me the Hokies. Take VIRGINIA TECH! |
12-29-16 | South Florida -10 v. South Carolina | 46-39 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 20 m | Show
South Florida vs South Carolina 11:00 ET Bulls (-) over Gamecocks- This years version of South Florida football is the best in school history with 10 wins and a bowl game against an SEC opponent. South Carolina under first year head coach Will Muschamp whose defense was 10th nationally with 25 takeaways. The Bulls have not only set school records with 10 wins as well as total offense (6,181 yards), scoring (523 points), touchdowns (71) and rushing yards (3,501). South Florida enters with four straight wins while the Gamecocks were pounded by Clemson 56-7 in their final game. Lay it! Take SOUTH FLORIDA! |
12-28-16 | UCLA v. Oregon +3 | Top | 87-89 | Win | 100 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
U.C.L.A. vs Oregon 9:00 ET Ducks (+) over Bruins- When the season opened Oregon was ranked No. 4 and started the year 2-2 and are now ranked No. 24 after having won their last nine. UCLA meanwhile is ranked No. 2 as they have reeled off 13 straight victories averaging 95.8 points per contest going 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games overall. Although the Ducks are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games but they are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings against the Bruins. Take OREGON! |
12-28-16 | Indiana +6 v. Utah | Top | 24-26 | Win | 100 | 19 h 44 m | Show |
Indiana vs Utah 8:00 ET Hoosiers (+) over Utes- This one stings a bit as I am 12-5 71% with my 'Highest-Rated' A-Plays (7-1 with GOY) this season and one of the losses was Indiana (+3.5) a 22-27 loser to Nebraska as the Huskers kicked a back-door field goal to cover in the final moments. So, I always have in the back of my mind am I going after this one just to get even...Nah, their's nothing in the back of my mind! There are a few things that I am concerned about, well, to start Utah has dropped their last two (Oregon and Colorado) and the Hoosiers are just so one-dimensional. The Utes are amazing 15-4 in bowl games going 11-1 straight-up and 10-2 ATS in last 12, but most of that was as heavy underdogs. The rolls have been switched. Take INDIANA! |
12-28-16 | Seton Hall +8 v. Creighton | 75-89 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 25 m | Show
Seton Hall at Creighton 8:00 ET Pirates (+) over Blue Jays- Creighton bring a perfect 12-0 record and their No. 9 ranking into the start of Big East play against defending conference champs Seton Hall. The Pirates return four starters form last years league champion but the Blue Jays might still get caught looking ahead to their battle with No. 1 Villanova on Saturday. Trends clash here as Seton Hall is 16-5 ATS in their last 21 Big East games while Creighton is 23-9 ATS in their last 32 home games. Still, it's the defending Big East champs here. Take SETON HALL! |
12-28-16 | Bucks v. Pistons -3 | 119-94 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 26 m | Show
Milwaukee at Detroit 7:35 ET Pistons (-) over Bucks- The Pistons caught a break Monday when the Cavaliers showed up in Detroit without LeBron James and they were able to freak a five-game losing streak with a 'pity' victory. Now it seems that the Bucks have become a 'public' favorite as Giannis Antetokounmpo has attracted much deserved attention. The 'Greek Freak' is averaging 23.4 points along with 9.1 rebounds, two steals, two blocked sots and six assists per game. Maybe not Russell Westbrook number but still impressive by any measure. The Pistons on the other hand will meet the challenge with the NBA's Eastern leading defense. Take DETROIT! |
12-28-16 | Virginia +3.5 v. Louisville | Top | 61-53 | Win | 100 | 8 h 30 m | Show |
Virginia at Louisville 7:00 ET Cavaliers (+) over Cardinals- This should end up a stretch and claw matchup as two of the nations top defensive team will assault each other in Louisville as the Cardinals host Virginia. Last week we posted Louisville over Kentucky and they have had a full week to savor that victory while Virginia is off a 56-52 win over California ending the Bears 270game home winning streak. Even though Louisville is 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 home games they lost both meetings with Virginia last season. Take the CAVALIERS! |
12-28-16 | West Virginia v. Miami (Fla) -2.5 | Top | 14-31 | Win | 100 | 16 h 60 m | Show |
West Virginia vs Miami 5:30 ET Hurricanes (-) over West Virginia- I know a few 'people' who think this is the best bowl play of the season...I think that I have some better but this one still stands out to 'us.' Miami has had a streaky season both straight-up and against the points. To start with the win their first four games under new coach Frank Rich (from Georgia) then process to lose four-in-a-row and then closed the season with four straight wins again. The thing here is that even though the game is in Orlando (250 mile drive from Miami) why should the Hurricanes be favored over a #16 ranked team when they are un-ranked. Vegas knows more then the coaches and I bet on it! Take MIAMI! |
12-28-16 | Northwestern +5 v. Pittsburgh | Top | 31-24 | Win | 100 | 12 h 23 m | Show |
Northwestern vs Pittsburgh 2:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Panthers- A contrast in styles will be on display when the Pittsburgh Panthers bring their 10th ranked scoring offense (42.3 points per game) faces The Northwestern Wildcats No. 23 ranked scoring defense. The Panthers scored 76 in their season finale against Syracuse and they of course are led by James Conner who scored 20 touchdowns while the Wildcats bring junior Justin Jackson who had a Big Ten leading 1,300 yards and 12 Td's rushing. At Yankee Stadium I'll side with the defense. Take NORTHWESTERN! |
12-27-16 | Baylor +8.5 v. Boise State | Top | 31-12 | Win | 100 | 24 h 2 m | Show |
Baylor vs Boise State 10:15 ET Bears (+) over Broncos- 'How about them Bears'...the started the season 6-0 and were ranked in the Top-10 and then the roof fell in. They closed the season with six straight losses and not a 'cover' among them. Baylor still have the fifth ranked offense nationally averaging 523 yards including 250 yards rushing. Interim coach Jim Grobe will gladly go back in retirement after this season one fill with out the field and on the field issues. Broncos a bit of a downer but at 10-2 have had trouble with turnovers. Both clubs were 3-8 ATS this season so I'll stick with the points. Take BAYLOR! |
12-27-16 | Rockets v. Mavs +6.5 | 123-107 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 29 m | Show
Houston at Dallas 8:30 ET Mavericks (+) over Rockets- Every time I look to post against 'these' Rockets I have a slight shutter as the though of James Harden going off for another triple-double as Houston has won 12 of their last 14 contests. Dallas who has shown signs of life are off a loss at New Orleans ending a modest three-game win streak. Power forward and future Hall-of-Fame player Dirk Nowitzki has returned from his Achilles tendon injury and his playing time is limited, but the Mavericks come up big here. Take DALLAS! |
12-27-16 | Thunder v. Heat +3.5 | Top | 106-94 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
Oklahoma City at Miami 7:30 ET Heat (+) over Thunder- I found it a bit amusing that Russell Westbrook said this is the most fun he's had playing basketball because “this group of guys are so unselfish.” Oklahoma City enters Miami winners of their last three but are about to start a stretch where they play 14 of 18 games on the road. The Thunder are 12-6 at home but just 7-6 on the road and they start here where the Heat have been disappointing going just 5-11 as hosts. The Heat can count on production from its two leading scorers Hassan Whiteside and Goran Dragic but must get some help from the rest of the rooster. They will tonight. Take MIAMI! |
12-27-16 | Grizzlies +6.5 v. Celtics | 103-113 | Loss | -108 | 9 h 33 m | Show
Memphis at Boston 7:30 ET Grizzlies (+) over Celtics- These two met just seven days ago in Memphis as the Cletics squeaked out a 112-109 overtime win in a contest where Boston's Isaiah Thomas posted a career-high 44 points. The Grizzlies have lost five of their last eight games including yesterday's 112-102 home loss to Orlando. Memphis who have lost three of their last four meetings is 14-3 ATS in their last 17 meetings in Boston. Take the GRIZZLIES! |
12-27-16 | Washington State v. Minnesota +10.5 | 12-17 | Win | 100 | 21 h 46 m | Show
Minnesota vs Washington State 7:00 ET Gophers (+) over Cougars- A lot of weird things happen during the bowl season as coaches leave for other jobs, players 'rest' to prepare for the draft, players get suspended and other boycott their own games. The later of it all has affected this match-up as Minnesota has had 10 player suspended and another 'Group-of-10' were not going to play in protest. (No, not the Trump election) Washington State seems to start and close their seasons on the same note and it is a sour one. After a poor start and a great run the Cougars were netted and dropped their final two. It would appear that Washington State's strength (passing) is Minnesota's weakness (pass defense). We've seen it time and again that the team that enters a bowl game short-handed pulls off the win. Take the GOPHERS! |
12-27-16 | Wake Forest +12.5 v. Temple | 34-26 | Win | 100 | 17 h 20 m | Show
Wake Forest vs Temple 3:30 ET Owls (-) over Demon Deacons- I don't think the Owls will need a look at the Demon Deacons game plan to win this contest. I am aware Temple has 'covered' 12 straight since their opening 29-13 loss to Army. They finished with the ACC Championship pounding Navy 38-10 and have won their last six straight-up. Wake Forest comes to Annapolis losers of three straight while Temple and I would feel more comfortable taking the points in this situation, the Owls believe that they have already won a championship on this field three weeks ago. Take WAKE FOREST! |

12-26-16 | Lions v. Cowboys -6 | Top | 21-42 | Win | 100 | 24 h 31 m | Show |
Detroit at Dallas 8:30 ET Cowboys (-) over Lions- From what I can tell most believe the Cowboys will rest their best and even see to it that Tony Romo gets some playing time. With quarterbacks dropping left and right most don't have the luxury and depth that Dallas presents. Local high school start Matthew Stafford returns with a slight hand injury has seemed to affect his play as the Lions failed to score a touchdown against the Giants in a 19-6 loss at New York. The key that many are not aware of is that Detroit only has to win next week against the Packers to win the NFC North. I give the edge to the Cowboys. Take DALLAS! |
12-26-16 | Hawks v. Wolves +1 | Top | 90-104 | Win | 102 | 7 h 20 m | Show |
Atlanta at Minnesota 8:05 ET Timberwolves over Hawks- boy, do I love this spot I mean the Hawks come flying into Minnesota having won four straight road games while the Timberwolves are off two straight losses including yesterday's defeat at Oklahoma City. With there being a 50% chance that Dwight Howard will go in the tank I like the Wolves who have won the last three meetings. Young Wolves are hungry for wins. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-26-16 | Cavs v. Pistons -4.5 | Top | 90-106 | Win | 100 | 7 h 53 m | Show |
Cleveland at Detroit 7:35 ET Pistons (-) over Cavaliers- 'I smell a rat!' I mean really, the Pistons are a huge favorite against the World Champion Cavaliers who are off a home win over Golden State. The only line-up Cleveland will mostly present up may include bench players with are their just to carry LeBron's bags. This has got to be a lay-down of major proportions. You know why can't these guys take days off on practice days instead of game days. I'm taking the Pistons and you should too. DETROIT! |
12-26-16 | Grizzlies v. Magic +3 | 102-112 | Win | 100 | 6 h 26 m | Show
Memphis at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Grizzlies- Memphis is beginning to build a little momentum as key players are returning from injuries including standout Mike Conley along with James Ennis and Chandler Parsons. The Grizzlies have both games since the return of Parsons while Orlando has been in-and-out their last seven games finishing with a win over the Lakers. The Magic are looking to get better at home (6-10) and will start here. Take ORLANDO! |
12-26-16 | Maryland v. Boston College +2 | Top | 30-36 | Win | 100 | 17 h 14 m | Show |
Maryland vs. Boston College 2:30 ET Eagles (+) over Terrapins- Both clubs are more then happy to be playing in a bowl games after posting three wins each last season. Former ACC foes both evened out at 6-6 with Maryland defeating Rutgers in their final game to become bowl eligible. Maryland will struggle to move the ball on the ground against the Eagles No. 7 ranked rush defense in the country. Boston College is 8-3 all-time against Maryland and the beat will go on here. Take the EAGLES! |
12-25-16 | Clippers v. Lakers +6 | 102-111 | Win | 100 | 25 h 45 m | Show
L.A. Clippers at L.A. Lakers 10:30 ET Lakers (+) over Clippers- After a 'Coach-of-the-Year' start Luke Walton has seen hos Lakers drop 12 of their last 13 finishing their seven game road trip 1-6. The Clippers have hit a rough patch themselves going 3-7 ATS in their last 10 and are coming off a lost at home to Dallas on Friday playing with both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Paul may return here but Griffin with remain out. The Lakers blew two different 19-point leads to Charlotte and Miami as Julius Randle missed those games to be with his wife as she gave birth to his child. (Isn't that sweet) He will be back and so are the Lakers. Take then here..LAKERS! |
12-25-16 | Broncos +3.5 v. Chiefs | Top | 10-33 | Loss | -115 | 29 h 38 m | Show |
Denver at Kansas City 8:30 ET Broncos (+) over Chiefs- Boy, I wonder if Gary Kubiak regrets his brain cramp when trying a 62-yard field goal against these same Chiefs because he refused a take a tie. Well, the Broncos are on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs are concerned and now they have a team that is divided in the locker room as the defense is calling out the inept offense. Kansas City just out a a quick two touchdown lead last week against the titans and then lost on the games final play as Andy Reid gave Tennessee and extra chance to make the game winning field goal and they did it. Denver's defense can still contain check-down quarterback Alex Smith and win here. Take DENVER! |
12-25-16 | Wolves +5 v. Thunder | 100-112 | Loss | -108 | 22 h 28 m | Show
Minnesota at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Timberwolves (+) over Thunder- The young Timberwolves started the season slowly but are 5-1 ATS in their last six contests and are 4-0 ATS against teams with a straight up winning record. Oklahoma City of course has who most already feel is the MVP in Russel Westbrook who scored 20 points in the 4th quarter to rally the Thunder past Boston on Friday. Minnesota did just the opposite their last time out falling apart in the fourth quarter against Sacramento blowing a lead late. The Thunder already posted a 20-point win over the Wolves at home in early November and Minnesota is playing much better now. Take the TIMBERWOLVES! |
12-25-16 | Warriors v. Cavs +2.5 | Top | 108-109 | Win | 100 | 17 h 2 m | Show |
Golden State at Cleveland 2:30 ET Cavaliers (+) over Warriors- Golden State who has the best record in the NBA (27-4) has won seven straight and comes up the favorite at Cleveland against the World Champions who have won four straight themselves. The Warriors had a 3-1 lead over the Cavaliers in last years Finals only to have LeBron and company sweep the next three games, something that had not happened once (losing 3 straight) to them during the regular season. Yes. J.R Smith is out for Cleveland but it won't matter today. Take the CAVALIERS! |
12-24-16 | Middle Tennessee State v. Hawaii +7.5 | 35-52 | Win | 100 | 4 h 44 m | Show
Hawaii vs Middle Tennessee State 8:00 ET Rainbows Warriors (+) over Blue Raiders- This will be Hawaii's 14 game of the year and they didn't even playing a conference championship game and they will be looking to get to an even .500. Mid Tennessee State lost their starting quarterback in November but responded with two huge wins since the injury to Brent Stockstill scoring 115 points in their final two game. Hawaii has managed to win their final two games as well and will have the added advantage of actually playing this game at home as an underdog. Honolulu is a long way from Tennessee and I;m sure many of the Blue Raiders will be distracted. Take HAWAII! |
12-24-16 | Bucs v. Saints -3 | 24-31 | Win | 100 | 19 h 58 m | Show
Tampa Bay at New Orleans 4:25 ET Saints (-) over Buccaneers- The Bucs' played their butts off against Dallas and were just now able to hang on for the win although they did get the 'money.' New Orleans did lose at Tampa Bay 13 days ago 16-11 but they have still won eight of the last 10 meetings. Tampa is one-game behind Atlanta in the NFC South while the Saints can actually make the playoffs by inning out and getting a lot of help. Still, with the history between these two clubs I'll take...NEW ORLEANS! |
12-24-16 | Redskins v. Bears +3 | Top | 41-21 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 45 m | Show |
Washington at Chicago 1:00 ET Bears (+) over Redskins- It sounds to me like the Redskins are already making excuses as to why they will fall short of the playoffs. After Monday's loss to Carolina left Tackle Trent Williams stated 'Short week are always tough' he continued, it's a physical game and it take 72,48 hours to recover...the games on...we got to play it.' Chicago has lost four of its last five but they are playing better since the Jay Cutler injury. Bears running back Jordan Howard has rushed for over 1,000 years averaging 5.0 per carry. Washington show what they were made of against the Bucs on Monday. Take CHICAGO! |
12-24-16 | Titans v. Jaguars +5.5 | Top | 17-38 | Win | 100 | 16 h 43 m | Show |
Tennessee at Jacksonville 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Titans- Well, the Gus Bradley era ended with a thud this week when Jacksonville absorbed their nine straight loss. The Jaguars were picked by many 'experts' to break into the playoffs but after winning only 14 of 62 games Doug Marrone has taken over as interim coach. The Titans at 8-6 are tie for the division lead as Marcus Mariota has matured quicker then most thought he would. The Titans have had a number of defensive injuries as they lost three starters last week. It catches up with them here. Take JACKSONVILLE! |
12-24-16 | Vikings +7 v. Packers | 25-38 | Loss | -115 | 16 h 40 m | Show
Minnesota at Green Bay 1:00 ET Vikings (+) over Packers- The Packers how were considered 'dead-in-the-water' have posted four straight wins as Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 10 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Ty Montgomery a former receiver now at running back ran for 162 yards last week with 57 yards receiving. Minnesota who started so fast already has a huge win over the Pack is looking to bounce back from a 34-6 pounding inflicted by the Colts makes seven losses in their last nine games. Adrian Peterson will not be a distraction this week and that helps the Vikings. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-24-16 | Falcons v. Panthers +3 | Top | 33-16 | Loss | -100 | 16 h 37 m | Show |
Atlanta at Carolina 1:00 ET Panthers (+) over Falcons- The Carolina Panthers are starting to play football like they should as they have won their last two and remarkably still have an outside shot at the playoffs. Atlanta of course has the NFL's most explosive offense with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones looking like an MVP combination. Even though the Falcons defeated Carolina in Week 4 (48-33) the Panthers' defense has forced wight turnovers the past two weeks and their running game in moving the ball. Getting points at home...I'll take CAROLINA! |
12-23-16 | Raptors v. Jazz +2 | Top | 104-98 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 45 m | Show |
Toronto at Utah 9:00 ET Jazz (+) over Raptors- The Jazz are coming off two very disappointing efforts as they were trounced by Golden State on Tuesday 104-74 and then they blew a 20-point lead against Sacramento on Wednesday. With two days to 'lick their wounds' I expect huge bounce-back tonight. Toronto has won 12 of their last 14 games and are an impressive 9-3 on the road but that record will be challenged as they start a six-game western road trip. These two split both contests last season each winning on their home court and I expect the same here. Take UTAH! |
12-23-16 | Rockets v. Grizzlies +3.5 | 109-115 | Win | 100 | 9 h 48 m | Show
Houston at Memphis 8:00 ET Grizzlies (+) over Rockets- Mike D'Antoni has never been a coach that stressed about defense and that suits this Rockets squad just fine. Led by James Harden who has taken over the point-guard spot Houston leads the NBA in 3-point attempts with an amazing 39 attempts per game hitting just under 38%. Memphis on the other hand leads the NBA in 3-Point field goal defense allowing just 33.5% from beyond the arc. The Grizzlies will slow the tempo down under first year head coach David Fizdale and bump the Rockets out of their rhythm. Take MEMPHIS! |
12-23-16 | Warriors v. Pistons +7 | 119-113 | Win | 100 | 8 h 24 m | Show
Golden State at Detroit 7:30 ET Pistons (+) over Warriors- Like trains passing in the night the Warriors and Pistons are heading in opposite directions. Golden State who have a Christmas Day meeting with the NBA Champion Cavaliers have now won six straight while Detroit has dropped four in-a-row. The Warriors lost to the Pistons last January ending a nine-game win streak in this series and are off a huge come-from-behind victory over the Nets last night and might get caught looking ahead here. Take DETROIT! |
12-23-16 | Louisiana Tech v. Navy +7 | Top | 48-45 | Win | 100 | 26 h 0 m | Show |
Louisiana Tech vs. Navy 1:30 ET Midshipman (+) over Bulldogs- This game has had a dramatic change since the match-up was agreed upon. This contest opened with the Navy a small favorite and now Louisiana Tech have moved to a full touchdown due to injuries to the Midshipman's key personnel as quarterback Will North and their top running back are out for the finale. Both clubs enter this fray off two losses and Navy's of course hurt most in the AAC Championship and the loss for the first time in 14 years to Army. Usually, if I saw an unranked team favored (like this game) over a ranked team (#24 Navy) I would think something was up and I might lay the points...but, not here. Take NAVY! |
